Lawn Doctor has been our lawn care expert for 7 years. Like a doctor they diagnose, treat and maintain the health of our lawn with prompt service and advice we trust.

We switched to using Lawn Doctor for our condominium community and our lawn has never looked better! We have approximately 22 acres of which about a third is lawn area and some of the areas are very difficult to access. Lawn Doctor technicians and office staff have been very professional and responsive to our needs during our 1.5 years. As the Landscape director for our COA they have made my life easier! Unit owners are constantly complementing our NOW beautiful lawn!

We have been a Lawn Doctor customer for several years now and the customer service we receive is impeccable! Everyone there is kind, professional, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Highly recommended!

Lawn Doctor recommended a complete re-seeding of our yard and we decided to move forward. Months later, the grass grew back in patchy (leaving divets and empty spots throughout the entire yard) and it looked and felt worse than before the re-seeding. Needelless to say, I was frustrated. However, after an assessment, I will state that Lawn Doctor cares about their customers and delivering quality as they are rectifying my yard and making things right. 3 stars as the re-seeding process is long and emotional; and results are not immediate. (In my case, it took 3-6 months before I could even realize the yard needs more assistance which results in additional unwanted frustration).

I am usually not home at time of my Lawn Doctor lawn treatments. Today I was here and had a few questions so went out and talked to Zymire Martinez. He was very kind and informative and answered all my questions.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Zymire Martinez, a lawn technician who provided exceptional service for my yard. From the moment he arrived, Zymire was courteous and professional, informing me of his presence and asking if I had any questions or concerns regarding the service he would be providing. Throughout the duration of his visit, Zymire worked diligently and efficiently to treat my yard for weeds and other issues, all while keeping me informed of his progress and ensuring that I was satisfied with his work. Overall, I would highly recommend Zymires services to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable lawn technician.

Chase applied another application today. He came to our front door and was extremely polite, professional and asked if we had any issues, previous lawn care company was not friendly, they came and left without any interaction. It was nice to talk to Chase, hope we see Chase throughout the summer.

Me and my two kids watched as Chase did an excellent job fertilizing the lawn! The kids got a kick out of watching the riding fertilizer!

All of the glowing reports must be for a different lawn doctor company than the one we get. Granted, we have a somewhat odd shaped yard, but in all the years we have used them they have never figured it out. I have pleaded with them on numerous occasions to take 30 seconds and get a map off the auditors website and they have completely blown off my requests. The result it that we seldom get 100% coverage of lawn chemicals, which we are paying for. I have gotten so tired of calling to have them come back out and finish their shoddy work that I seldom call if it isnt a huge area of our lawn that they missed. Last week they missed a huge area again, but have they taken my advice and gotten a map to send with their tech? I seriously doubt it. In addition we were fed the excuse that the tech was new - it should be their responsibility to train their staff and maybe not send them out right away on a more challenging job. My advice is to go elsewhere unless you have a perfectly square well-defined yard. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

Robyn Zach & Sabrina always give the utmost personal, professional, effective and efficient customer service. We are very happy customers.

This is our 3rd year using Lawn Doctor and highly recommend them for service. They always call with an automated voice message the day before service to let us know they will be servicing, weather permitting. Since we have a locked gate, they also follow-up with a phone call from the office to confirm the gate will be unlocked. The lawn techs are always extremely nice and professional - they come to the door the day of service to let us know they are there and then leave a summary of their visit at the end. They also have always remembered to close the fence gate door all the way (which we really appreciate so our dog doesn t get out after). I also like the email summary as well to explain what weeds they saw and sprayed for. We use to have tons of wild violets and dandelions in our yard before we started service with them but they are finally gone! Highly recommend!

This is a very professional business that performs quality work. Our lawn never looked better. Nick is a terrific tech. He is so careful and always leaves our house in great shape when he leaves. Wonderful company.

Giving a shout out to the excellent attention and service our technician, Kyle, put into our lawn treatment. He was extremely efficient with all aspects of his job and attentive to our specific requests! Thank you, Kyle! We also appreciate all the TLC the office manager, Robyn, provides when we communicate any questions about service options. She makes sure the technician knows our special requests and coordinates schedules so they complement our lawn mowing service. We will use Lawn Doctor again for year 4 next season!

Cost out-of-proportion to work/time: Fact= Fertilizer + Soil Enrichment + Mole Control. The technician was on-site for 9 MINUTES (1:21 pm-1:30 pm). Total Invoice charge=$277. After previous service (same items and cost), I emailed the office about my concern regarding the cost, given the techs time on site (15 minutes that visit). Even allowing for overhead and travel time, the hourly charge is still outrageous. I was told it was standard practice, and that it was how they kept customer costs down. I never heard from the owner. The only reason I didnt give 1 star is because the treatments are good and the office manager is excellent.

Zach , is my yard technician, he does a tremendous job on my yard !! I have a seen a good difference in our yard! I would like to add I tried to get on line last month to compliment his work but was not able . I also requested Zach to come back . I would like Zach monthly.Thank you!!

Great job and tech as well

We had Jack as our new service provider and he was outstanding. He came back 2 days after our application and reapplied the treatment because it rained too soon after the first application. He was very polite, informative, and thorough in his service to us. Were very appreciative of Jack and Lawn Doctors!

I switched to Lawn Doctor a couple years ago and could not be happier. I ve used a couple companies over the past 20 years and this has been my favorite! They are very responsive and happy to accommodate special requests. In my case I ask that they give me a call when they are on the way to allow my dog to go out before they do the treatment. My technician Zymire M is always so kind and patient while he waits for the dog to come back in. He seems very knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions. They offer lawnmower tuneups after the season ends.They pick up and drop off your mower which I think is a handy service. .

We have had great service and response from Lawn Doctor. A few years ago we requested no heavy machinery used because our lawn wasn t in great shape. They have followed that request faithfully and even the last time they forget and wrote a note apologizing. Our lawn is in such great shape from using them. Power seeding the last several years along with Zach s great service attention. Zach is very attentive and respectful of your property. We have previously had 2 different lawn care providers and Lawn Doctor has done the best. Thank you.

They do good work

Yard was worse off after having them perform a season worth of work and spending a lot of money.

The owner of Lawn Doctor came out and walked my property with me, pointing out, naming and explaining the unwanted plants growing in my thin grass. He told me about a process called power seeding that he said would help give us a fuller, healthier lawn. We had this done along with the usual scheduled treatments last summer and WoW!!! This season my lawn is thicker, greener and as weed-free as it has EVER Been!!! I ve lived here since August 1986-36yrs- and tried 5 different companies over the years! Neighbors walk by my corner lot and if I m out with my pup or gardening they comment on the improvement and I say, Lawn Doctor!

Lawn Doctor has done a fine job getting our grass in shape

I have never seen my grass look so good. I was hesitant at first but now am so grateful to them.

I have a challenging yard in which to grow grass. It is small, surrounded by trees faces East to West with a two story house on one end and a large garage on the other. It is basically land-locked resulting in a lot of routine equipment not being able to access the small yard. The trees which thrive well do block some of the sun and inhibit ventilation to the degree that the ground dries out very slowly after periods of significant rain. The LAWN DOCTOR has managed to give me a nice green lawn, with their restoration and management service, despite these challenges. They are reasonably priced and easy to work with. Give them a try, and you, too, can have a nice green grass yard.

I would like to recommend the Lawn Doctor for lawn care. We switched to them a couple of years ago. We have used other companies in the past to treat our lawn but they have been the best so far. We now have a lush, weed free, green lawn.

A couple years ago a neighbor referred me to Lawn Doctor as I was having issues with my lawn and the company I was using wasn t effective. After one year with Lawn Doctor, I became the one referring them. I have now had them treat my lawn for three years. The service they offer and their ability to diagnose and treat problems is exceptional. Every treatment is followed with a detailed review of what was done and any additional concerns the technician has. I highly recommend this business! A+ in my book!

Good experience with the Lawn Doctor

We ve used Lawn Doctor since 2018 and we LOVE our lawn now! My husband would get up at like 5 am to fertilize plus pull weeds plus seed every year and we couldn t get the results we wanted so after 3 years of that we called LD. First they killed off our bad grass and weeds and planted new grass. That was like 3/4 of our yard and I think our neighbors thought we were crazy lol but they kept assuring us they d take care of it and they did! It took about 2 years to fully make a turnaround but since then we ve had the most beautiful green lawn in the neighborhood! Our neighbors had grubs and because of our treatments, it stopped at our lawn line! Additionally if we ever have questions on progress they always answer questions within a few hours (at most) and have also been more than willing to come back out to correct anything, if needed. In my opinion, all companies can be great w/ customer service in good times, but when they re also great in bad times, THAT S A COMPANY THAT HAS MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE!!! They re also affordable! I m a Realtor and I recommend them to my clients all the time! Robin by the way at the office is FANTASTIC and I d highly recommend Lawn Doctor to anyone who wants a THICK GREEN LUSH GRASS your neighbors will be envious of all year long!!! No more yellow devils!!!

WOW - went with Lawn Doctor this year, we havent had dandelions for years with other services prior...when what to my wandering eyes do appear DANDELIONS...not starting out very well - this evaluation will be updated in the future - UPDATE they have reached out to me to address my concerns, which is much more than my previous providers - moved to a 4 star (a friend once told me no one should get a 5 because there is always room for improvement no matter how good, and I like this thought)...tech showed up today (Alex good guy) expressed a desire for us to be happy with the service and I felt like he meant it, retreated affected areas - Customer Service the way it should be

We have used Lawn Doctor for our own home, as well as, a number of our rental properties. The office staff is incredibly professional and friendly. The technicians that service the lawns are very professional and knowledgeable about the service provided. We have used Lawn Doctor for a number of years and will continue to do so!

Service is ok for the dollar amount. Majority of yard looks great. But wish they would pay more attention to edges or borders. Such as around my fence & deck. The machine they use, doesn t get close enough. So I end up doing that. When I ve asked the workers to get closer, I ve been told, they would have to use a different sprayer.

Edit 7/7: We did not use Lawn Doctor for reasons mentioned below, however Scott the owner reached out to us directly and explained the situation. I am appreciative of the response, and while we are still looking for a good company to help us out with our project, am updating this review because his follow-up was professional. We all have bad days from time to time, and I understand that and can relate. Full disclosure, my wife and I know that our lawn is not in good shape at all and needs re-done. Having moved in just recently, we are well aware of this and were when we bought the home...we were just looking for opinions and quotes from someone we thought could help us speed up the process of getting our lawn to where it needed to be. The owner came over to look at the lawn. I had a meeting but came out after he had a look, and confirmed with him that I thought it would need a lot of work...and when we received a notice back 1 week later from his team, the comments said Lawn is a total mess. Not a job I would be interested in. -- were OK with the fact that hes not interested in it, but that commentary is un-necessary. Were trying to get our lawn in shape and know its a challenge. Dont put it down. Based on this experience, even when we get our lawn to where its maintenance only, we wont be giving them our business. Id recommend looking elsewhere to support someone with a more professional demeanor.

They are very communicative about what they do and when theyre going to do it. Theyve done a good job controlling the weeds, and seeding the one time they did it. When I call for information, I can always get a person that is willing to talk and provide the information.

I have been using this company for about 1.5 years now. I was with another lawn company that was horrible and switched to Lawn Doctor late in the season last year. Since then, my lawn has turned around like never before! It is nothing like last year when my lawn was full of weeds. Now granted, there are some areas that are still needing TLC, but I know for a full lawn restoration it can take a couple seasons. However, I have one of the best lawns on my block. When we bought our current house, the prior owners had done NOTHING to the yard since the house was built in 1999. Add to that... the builder stripped and sold all the topsoil before building the houses in the community. Needless to say, we had pretty much nothing but weeds on clay and rocks. I tried 2 or 3 other companies but could see no progress. We started using Lawn Doctor about 4 years ago. After the first year, the lawn was looking much better and the grass was starting to choke out the weeds. After the second year, we had a full grassy lawn and few weeds. It has consistently improved year to year. Lawn Doctor has done a great job at both of our properties, and I highly recommend them.

I was using Tru Green for my lawn service and they didnt do a bad job but I decidedm to give the lawn doctor a try. I have 3/4 acre and my daughter has 1/2 acre. Lawn Doctor did both lawns for the same price Tru Green was charging me for mine. I am very satisfied with the lawn doctor and their staff.

We are very pleased with how much better our lawn looks since we hired Lawn Doctor fall of 2019. Polite technicians and quick response from office staff when we call. We recommended them to our daughter and son-in-law.

Lawn Doctor reseeded both front and back yards last year. The back yard looked great at the end of summer but the front yard grass was spotty. In the fall they reseeded the front after killing noxious grasses present and seed sprouting was negligible. They came out again this spring and reseeded again at no additional charge. This time the yard is looking great. I switched my lawn service to Lawn Doctor several years ago and have been very satisfied with their service offerings and lawn treatments.

This is the third lawn service we have used since moving to Westerville in 2015. By far, their lawn treatment has been the best in terms of keeping weeds from taking over my lawn. I say this as someone who wants the lawn to look good. I do not have an underground sprinkler system nor do a need my lawn to be the best looking on the block but I do want it to look well maintained. They are also responsive to any concerns and upfront about all the costs. If you are looking for a solid lawn company check these guys out.

My lawn was over ran with weeds. It looked tired and embrassing. I tried the off the self weed killer. That only turned the weeds white but didnt kill it. The guy who mows my yard suggested Lawn Dr. What a difference in month. The Lawn Dr. applied the weed and feed solution. The weeds were gone in a week and half. My grass looks fresh and healthy Also, I signed up for the soil analysis. The result was I had too much calcium in my soil. They applied yesterday sulfur to balance the calcium. I expect my lawn to look better than it does now. The guy who mows my said it looks just as good as the my neighbor who maintenance his yard daily.

Its too soon to be certain, but I have seen no substantive improvement in my lawn quality thus far. Instead, I have been encouraged to purchase other services from them in addition to the lawn care package I have already paid for. Time will tell whether I will retain them next year.

My question is why was my yard done with a man waliking, but my neighbor had a guy on a machine?

It doesnt appear the products are as effective as Chemlawn. Going into year 2 with services and lawn still has the periodic dandelion and health of lawn is still struggling. My final year with this company if the lawn health doesnt improve.

I appreciate the ability to speak directly with Robyn in the local office. She is able to answer my questions directly or get me an answer quickly. Our front yard needed some major help. We didnt get the greatest quality of sod when we built our home. Our front yard had more brown than green spots. It was in pretty bad shape. We used the lawn doctor to aerate and seed our yard this past September. The results have exceeded my expectations. In less than a week, our yard is noticeably greener and healthier! We have had several neighbors ask us what we did to get our yard looking so good. I cant believe the results we have in such a short amount of time. I wish i remembered to take before photos because honestly the difference is unbelievable! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Lawn doctor gets my highest recommendation.

It is an excellent service. They committed to provide good result after a year. But Im wondering that I see the drastic changes with in 7 months of period. They did awesome job, even though I used to mowing, they provided the advise for mowing. I recommend my friends for lawn care. they are very professional and strict to their commitment. Thanks to Lawn Doctor of Columbus, my lawn is consistently one of the greenest on the block...greener than the golf course behind my house. I never have weeds and the bugs are kept at bay. Lawn Doctor even tunes my lawn mower every winter so I am ready to start cutting grass in the spring. No more hauling bags of stuff home and wrestling them around my yard. I can spend my weekends doing something fun!

We used to use an independent lawn care company before that we unfortunately found out later did not have the consistency and standards that we expected. Reliable and professional in all areas including back office stuff. The grass always looks good and is almost weed free. Only problem is that it grows too fast. I get multiple offers from competitors each year and have never been really tempted to change.

Had Lawn Doctor for 2 years. The 1st year we had no problems and they were very attentive to our lawn. The 2nd year (current) was a huge disappointment. Our yard had numerous issues with crabgrass, weeds, etc...Also a fence which makes the back yard accessible, was broken by a Lawn Doctor employee and was never fixed after repeated requests and conversations between the Lawn Doctor leadership stating that it would be fixed. It took over 6 months-(from May to November) for them to tell me that it couldnt be fixed but that they would complete an aeration to make up the fence not being fixed. The aeration was never done as well. We will be finding another lawn service.

Fabulous service and great results! No weeds, great advice and attention to detail that others cannot provide. We added the grub treatment which saved us from damage that other yards sustained. Would highly recommend.

The person who did my lawn lied about doing the full job. When i called them back and questioned them about it they will not return my phone calls. Beware make sure that they are actually doing your yard!

I was very pleased with the Lawn Doctor. I have never had a service at my home and my lawn showed it. I tried for 20 years to do the Scotts do it yourself program with a spreader and missed applications. Saw lines in my yard and just could not kill the chick weed. Since I met Pam at the Home and Garden Show in the spring and signing up for the service I have been extremely pleased. I did not get the airiation on the first sign-up but finally decided to do it and glad I did. I now will put down grass seed this winter as the snow flys and melts and hope next year I will see new grass growing in the spring. I will use them again and I recommend that all my friends try this service. See you in the Spring! Lawn Doctor.

We had a great experience with lawn doctor. Our old lawn service left us with weeds..and medium level of green. We cancelled them and tried do-it-yourself fertilizing. Which gave us green..but weeds were spreading. Enter..lawn doctor. The first phone call felt like a chat with a neighbor. Immediately had less weeds..greener grass and smaller bill. Lawn Doctor completed a phenomenal restoration of our yard. It was devastated by weeds, rocks and dead spots. They were able to kill off everything, clean up the yard, and plant a wonderful new yard. We couldnt be happier with the results!

The lawn appearance in front has improved and is looking reasonably good. The back yard not so much. A problem arose with Fall aeration ... the service agents ignored instructions where our underground dog electronic fence wire was located and this caused a breach in the line. Fortunately it was only a single breach ... repair could have been much more expensive, based on where they staked out their idea of where the line ran around the house. Getting reimbursed by Lawn Doctor for the repair was a bit of a hassle but in the end a check was received.
