We contacted Turf Surfers to get a broken sprinkler repaired. They did an excellent job with the repair, so we asked Turf Surfers to mow our lawn for a few weeks. They came out regularly to mow our lawn, also doing an excellent job with that. The team was prompt and courteous.

Honestly, not sure about their service. However, they are a negligent company when it comes to whoever drives their decaled maroon truck pulling a trailer. Couldnt wait five seconds for cars to move and instead, chooses to drive on the shoulder of Powers Blvd turning onto CO 83. Great company representation.

I have 1.5 acres that had years of leaves and pine needles on it. The crew that came out for cleanup surpassed all my expectations and did an amazing job in a very short period of time. I ll definitely have them back.

Way overpriced and very poor service. I scheduled a spring package (aeration, fertilizer, sprinkler start up) and lawn edging. The owner, Gerry, confirmed service for an arrival window of 8:30-10:30 am. On the day of service, 10:30 rolled around and no one showed up. By 11:30 I called the owner to ask if the service was still scheduled, and he said the guy was running late from the last job. Not sure why I had to call them to find out why they were running late, and Gerry didnt seem too concerned or apologetic. Guy finally shows up and completes the aeration and fertilizer. He starts the sprinkler start up as well. I inquired about the edging and he told me their edger is broken but he can go get his bosss personal edger and come back. I said that was fine, assuming he had finished the other services. He called maybe an hour after he left asking if he could come back to edge after the next job he had to go to. I said that was fine. In the meantime, I ran the sprinklers since fertilizer was laid, only to find out that the schedule was not set appropriately, the heads were not adjusted for proper coverage, and two heads needed replacing. 6:30pm rolled around and Ive heard nothing from the employee about coming back to do the edging. I texted him asking if he was coming back, and he said he was on his way. An hour later he still hasnt arrived and I texted again. He said he was 8 minutes away. Finally after 8pm its now dark and I told him I dont want the edging done in the dark. He said he could still adjust the heads and replace one of the broken ones in the dark without running the water (Im no sprinkler expert, but I know that you need to see the water run to know where coverage is needed, and that requires water and light). I said no thanks. He ended up arriving shortly after I declined the service and changed out the one head anyway, which I later found out wasnt even done correctly, hence why you dont repair sprinklers in the dark without being able to run the water. I emailed the boss saying only the aeration and fertilizer were completed and to only bill me for those services. It took him a week to respond to me. Apparently these people charge so much that they dont even care about your money or business. He said he would reschedule the services that werent completed, but I had had enough. By the time he responded I was able to do most of it myself with the help of my father in law. Dont waste your time or money with this company. Absolutely atrocious customer service and ridiculous prices. $125 for aeration and fertilizer! You can get that for $55-$60 anywhere else. I deeply regret hiring them and would not recommend.

Expensive but good

Turf Surfers was great. I was late to order my lawn aeration and sprinkler blowout. Turf Surfers was able to do the work the next day when 4 other companies said No. They not only did the work quickly and professionally but they took the time to point out a few tips about our sprinkler system. We will definitely use them again.

I ve been using Turf Surfers services for the last six years for sprinkler services and routine lawn care. As a first time homeowner with not a lot of knowledge of irrigation systems, Gerry and his people took care of me and my lawn. Gerry is very communicative and would reply to my email questions directly, even on weekends/non-business hours. I could tell he really cared for his clients. I just recently sold my home and Gerry was there to help me ensure everything was good to go for the new homeowners along with the help of Zach, who has also been great as well. I just want to give a big thanks to Gerry and his crew for being an integral part of keeping my yard as my personal sanctuary all these years. Turf Surfers is AWESOME!!! Very reliable and their employees do a great job every time. I use their services at my home & will be using them from now on at my rental ppty each Spring & Fall for Spring sprinkler start-up & Fall shut-down/blow-out. I helped my neighbors (both in their 80s) with scheduling sprinkler start-up, valve repairs, aeration & scheduling weekly lawn mowing/trimming service with Turf Surfers... I cannot begin to tell you how much help this has been for them... they were physically unable to accomplish the repairs; therefore, they couldnt run the sprinklers so their lawn was dieing!!! They both have had health issues all year & now are just recovering from COVID-19! Gerry, your team has been a God-send every week! I called to ask about my deteriorating lawn thinking that I needed aeration, as it s about the only thing I haven t tried. Jerry spent quite a while with me assessing the problem and actually ended up referring me to a soil/lawn specialist that can resolve the root cause of my problems, instead of pushing services on me that wouldn t actually fix my yard. I appreciate the honesty and the time you spent with me (and not upselling me) and I will definitely be using your company when it s time for aeration and sprinkler service!

Sprinkler system maintenance, turn-on and turn-off

Gave an honest estimate about the water valve for the sprinkler system. Saved me the 200$ for the guts of the balance and replaced the entire piece for 250$. I have used them for the second time for seed and aeration and they did a swift and informative job. Little higher priced on the valve replacement but it was a one and done replacement and never to be worried about again so not so bad. Friendly and customer friendly. I would recommend and use again.

What a great company! Ive used them for the last few years to blow out my sprinkler system, but last year, a September freeze caught me by surprise, leaving my manifold cracked. I called Gerry, and he listened to the issue, and asked for photos. Upon receipt of the photos, he rightfully noted that my current equipment was bottom-of-the-line and recommended an upgrade. His quote was reasonable and I am a firm believer in doing things the right way, the first time. We moved ahead. The servicemen arrived when he said they would, but started running into issues connecting the manifold with the existing, cheap, equipment. They put together a plan, and in a few days were back out to my house, fixing it 100%. It was not their fault that my equipment was completely stripped, and I expected an extra charge for two different trips. To my surprise, the invoice comes in at the exact quoted price. Its this kind of service that leads to lifetime customers and Turf Surfers are on the top of my list. They should be on yours too!

My 80 yr old widowed mother used this company for some seeding and sprinkler startup. There was a sprinkler that was leaking. They were suppose to have come back at a certain time to fix and showed up hours later. They replaced the sprinkler head and it still leaked like a fire hydrant. They just backed filled and left. She contacted the owner by email and he replied with the most unprofessional email. I read some other reviews and it seems to be normal for this small business owner. After we the customer fixed the problem (15 min job)-there was a fitting to the sprinkler head that was cracked. Who does this to a 80 yr old widow. Didn t have any problem cashing her check. Seems they have inexperienced workers and the owner does not backup his word on his website. Lacks integrity. Will not support this small business...use at your own risk! Did not deserve 1 star.. not fake can copy email and cashed check. Lacks Integrity and character!

Ive used Turf Surfers for 2 years now, they do my sprinkler turn on in the spring, mow my lawn all starting in spring, all summer, and fall until i have them do my sprinkler blow out and turn off. They are very professional, responsive and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a good looking yard, but doesnt have the time to maintain it themselves.

The gentleman who came out did a great job with the areation. The problem is he used a hand spreader for about 2 minutes in my back yard then left. My back yard is not huge but it is good size, I had to reapply by using my walk behind spreader. Took about 5 minutes. When I play for a device I expect that service to be completed in a professional manner not hurried like they have somewhere more important to be.

Gerry, was very rude and flat out disrespectful. This will be the fourth time come in to the house and the issue is still not fixed. But be sure you will be charged 50$ every time thay show up to the house. I just need it to work. Nothing crazy. And I defenitly don t need to be told not to call or email anymore. Wow.!!! I had initially hired Turf Surfers to turn my sprinkler system on and get my yard ready for the warmer weather. A seemingly easy task revealed damage to my sprinkler system that I was completely unaware of, but thankfully Turf Surfers was able to repair the damages in a timely manner. They even took the time to program my system for me. These guys are wonderful!! I will definitely be contacting them again for all of my sprinkler needs!

I have personally used hem since 2008 annually for my system and lawn care and as a Realtor I also recommend to my clients and no one has been disappointed!

Never hire them, their sprirkler man has yet to show up since 6 May & today is July 31. Their lawn mowing people have broken four sprinker heads in three different zones, swear they didnt break any and therefor my lawn is dying due to lack of water. Yet they want their money to mow a lawn that doesnt need mowing.

Grate service. Quality work. Never had to ask second time. Services were done on time. Defiantly use Turf Surfers again and will recommend them to anyone.

Always great service. Gerry is always very easy to reach either via email or by phone which is a big plus for me. He is one of the few places where I know I only have to send one email or call once and he responds. He is always honest with you on what you need or dont need (ie overseeding on a yard with dogs) and he is very fair with his prices.

Turf Surfers came to mow and do a yard clean up. They are AMAZING!! Paul was super nice and very professional. They got all of the weeds (which were abundant from the massive amounts of rain weve had this year), trimmed all of the shrubs, mulberry bush, and cut down the massive death on the bushes down to where the tiny bit of life was lurking at the bottoms. My yard is beautiful once again! I cant recommend these guys enough!! :)

Wow... I love these guys. They came out to my house this year to plant some new grass seed from the winter kill and wouldnt do it. Yes I said that. Its because I dont really have a good sprinkler system and the guy straight up told me I would be throwing $100 down the drain. Who is honest like that anymore? Also.... he didnt even make me pay him for coming out to my house and wasting his time even though I offered. I have always been happy with this company.
