This company is a scam they are not a landscape company they are a tech company they use out dated Google images to bid on your property and then sell the job about 70% below the price it should be and then take 30% of the top what they pay the landscapers doing the actual work doesn't even cover gas and materials used don't use them hire an actual landscaper because you job will constantly be passed off because there is no profit to be made also if you do find someone willing to do a lawn for $25-$30 it will look awful because again no profit also they are not even that good at lead generation because they had to get an account on anouther lead generation sight thumbtack so they can't even do what they said if your a pro using lawnstarter you get better higher paying leads from thumbtack that's what they are doing anyway

I’ve given LawnStarter several chances so I can finally write an honest review. Overcharges, they don’t even do the bare minimum, long grass fee will be charged regardless, they cancel often for no reason then want to charge another long grass fee, completely missed half my lawn. I saw on my Ring how long they were on my property - less than 15 minutes - charged me $102 and didn’t do half the work I initially ordered. Go elsewhere and save your money.

Chris was so responsive and always takes care of our yard quickly and with care. We always use him and appreciate his service. Even at the start of the season when we were scheduled for a mow and the grass was not grown in yet, Chris took time to reach out to see if we truly needed his services for when we had original scheduled him and we set up a new time. He is the best!

The first team we had was great, they did consistent work for a couple months. Then no show 2 times. Switched to a new team, never showed up. Time to find a new company! Follow up: I would love to contact you; I will be reaching out soon. My husband informed me that he received a response stating that they did not have any available teams in our area. They should have notified us of this a week and a half ago, when the original team stopped showing up. 2nd Follow up 7/21: Katherine did reach out via email 2 days after my first email. At that point we had already found a new company that weeded for free. She stated that she reached out to whatever teams were in my area and offered extra money but no one was able to fit us in. Ultimately, the poor communication and time management deserves a low rating, but I do appreciate her reaching out, so I have updated to a 2 star review instead of 1. Hope others have a better experience.

Signed up with this company 12 days ago. My yard has still yet to be touched. They came out to my yard a day after signing up and said that it would cost more for the work needed to be done. They did warn me this could happen. They rescheduled me for a day later. They didn’t show up and I didn’t hear anything from them. They then rescheduled me for Wednesday of the next week. Due to me going out out of town that week I asked if they could do Monday or Tuesday. They said they could do that. Again those days pass and my yard was not done and with no communication. Four different rescheduled dates later and my yard still isn’t done. Absolutely horrible company with terrible communication and customer service. I definitely recommend taking your business somewhere else.

This company no showed twice. The first time I inquired if it was weather (it’s been raining for weeks) and then he wrote back that he was gonna come over the weekend but I told him to enjoy the weekend cause work life balance is very important to me in my career. He told me I was his favorite customer. What a joke. Second time I was no showed I was away for the 4th of July weekend and got an email that they cancelled my service because of the area I am in and the demand there is. I wouldn’t use this company if they had more services in my area. Not a very trusting set up.

Called to start lawn service on a Monday. The lady assured me they'd mow by Thursday. They never showed. I called late afternoon to ask where they were and was told it would be Thurs or Fri, which is not what their staff told me. I said to do it Friday then but I would be out of town and I couldn't show them my neighbor's boundry but I figured it wouldn't be hard to decipher. I came back on a Sunday and it wasn't done. No call, no notification until the following Monday. Here's what they said: We’ve worked hard to reach out to as many providers in your area as possible. Sadly, the demand in your area is high and we do not have anyone available to take you on as a customer at this time. - You can't count on LawnStarter. I'm shocked they have a high rating - that has to be manipulated by them (fraud)

NONstarter, I would suggest that you google 'lawnstarter complaints' before you give them a try - the problems I'm having are common. Unfortunately they left work undone and I am unable to get a call back from them - they charged me $67 anyway with out any discussion for my first supposedly discounted service. I received emails from at least 5 different 'customer service' agents who apparently don't read what you send and are unable to fix the problem. They already have your card number so if you aren't satisfied too bad. Really disappointing. I was excited to have this service but not anymore. As soon as you sign up they will start sending you an offer for a $20 discount if you rate them even before they show up. They give you a two day window and no specific time for when they are coming and don't read your notes. I asked for a call so I could put my dogs up and gave specific directions on the work needing done. Less than an hour went by and I started getting texts for 'how does your lawn look'. They were gone before I could go have a look.
