We had an excellent experience with Fredell. Their pricing was fair, the work was timely and done with pride, the crew that worked at the house was friendly, respectful, cleaned up the property every day, and were responsive to questions and concerns. We will continue to use Fredell for our landscaping needs in the future because they were great to work with.
I hired Fredell Enterprises to fix a garden retaining wall that was installed very poorly by a previous contractor, plant some trees and install irrigation, and to rebuild a failing retaining wall between mine and my neighbor's house. I had some drainage concerns and had some very specific requests about various elements of the job. Brian was very attentive to my requests and concerns. He took the time to address each of them individually and creatively. From the beginning I had a good feeling about the company. The crew that performed the work was led by Edwin, who is an outstanding individual. He and his crew were EXTREMELY hard-working, punctual, courteous, and professional. I honestly can't say enough nice things about them. There were times when my vision was different than how they were going about a certain element of the project, but each time I voiced a concern he was also extremely attentive and creative in ensuring the job was done to my satisfaction. After looking like a construction zone for the last 2 years, my yard finally looks exactly how I want it. All credit due to Brian, Edwin, and his crew. I highly recommend Fredell Enterprises for all your landscaping needs!
We chose Fredell for landscaping of our new home and could not have been more pleased with their professionalism, quality of the work, and communication through all phases of the project. From the initial design phase, David and his team always provided clear communication and budget information. The Fredell team displayed amazing work ethic throughout the project implementation. The entire staff clearly takes pride in their conscientious approach - and the quality of work was always at a very high level with clear attention to detail. We could not have been more pleased with the final project which stayed within our planned budget. We plan to use them again for any landscaping needs and would recommend them to any of our friends without hesitation for anyone looking for a hassle free, transparent, and high quality approach to landscaping needs.
We contracted Fredell Enterprises Inc, to complete a major landscaping project for us at our home in Country Club Estates. On the the side of our home there were Railroad Ties that had been there for at least 40 years. Our project was to remove the ties and build a bock wall and lay a flag stone walkway. All of this was performed in a very professional manner and was completed on schedule at cost. . The end results exceeded our desires.
I have known Paul Fredell many years and when I called and requested help stabilizing an old boulder wall he was quick to evaluate it and provide an estimate to perform the work. He cautioned me that due to the Civid lockdown it may be a few months before he could get to our job. BUT only a few weeks went by and he called to let me know he had a small window open and could get us taken care of. His crew was quick, professional, responsive to my questions and did all they could to please me with the work. the access to our side yard was difficult to say the least, but the were careful and did a great job revegetating the areas they disturbed. They are a TOP NOTCH company and I would highly recommend them.
The whole Fredell Enterprises team was outstanding, from Paul's initial visit to Amy's architectural plan to the friendly and respectful young muscle that worked so hard on our residential landscaping project. The detailed plan was created by an experienced architect who took into account the soil, water, sun and contour conditions and introduced some great ideas we had not considered. The right plants, lights, water and rock features were beautifully arranged. Work was begun and completed ahead of schedule. The team showed up on time, every delivery was made on time and put in place immediately. Obviously Fredell is very experienced at handling the logistics of a complex multi-stage project. They worked with us at every step of the project to assure we were in agreement and happy. I'm writing this review while sitting in our stunning private oasis, thinking I couldn't be happier with our choice of landscaping contractor.
Kieth and his crew did an amazing job. Very polite and professional. We asked to make a few minor changes to our plan and they were done perfectly. The finished product was exactly what we dreamed it would be and more.
There are very few people that I trust without question. Paul Fredell is one of those people. I have known Paul and used his company since 2005. Landscape services sometime appear easy because all one can see is the final product. What I have learned from Paul and what separates his company from others is that landscape is so much about what we cannot see. Careful preparation, design, and meticulous execution have always been the standard with Fredell Enterprises. I have worked with Paul on many projects over the years and he is a true professional. He has always told me that he and his team focus on delivering a product that requires very few to no warranty calls. I have personally witnessed his crew build thousands of feet of retaining walls. I have never seen one of them fail! You will not be disappointed if you work with Paul and his team. They simply do what they say they will do. No guessing or wondering when they will show up. And when you need to talk to someone – they answer the phone!

My experience with Fredell has always been great. They have done 3 or 4 projects for me and I have been more than pleased.
I contacted this company regarding a cleanup/refresh of our existing front yard beds and expansion of our beds to areas where our grass struggles to grow. It would have been an extensive project but my inquiry was met with an email stating that is not something that we can assist you with, we dont any maintenance work or clean up and we also have a $20,000.00 minimum. This was all without even seeing the yard. This company s website says Existing landscape need to be updated or reimagined? Fredell Enterprises provides landscaping services in Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Monument, and other locations. I m not sure which part of my request was not asking for updating of my existing landscaping. If you don t have the time or staff to take on a job, just say so!
Keith and his team were very professional and helpful when they were doing our new garden at the end of last summer. With a few trees that did not make the harsh winter, I contacted Paul (the owner) and they replaced the trees at no cost to us. We are happy with the service that we received from Fredell Enterprises.
We spent a great deal of money for Fredell to install turf, drainage and sprinkler system in our Broadmoor Area home. Once completed, we immediately noted problems in sprinkler coverage and drainage, but Fredell stated they were no longer on the job and were not available to address. We have spent the last 4 years slowly REDOING everything that was installed to address inadequate sprinkler coverage, poor sprinkler head placement as well as drainage issues. I am a gardener and so had already completed a very detailed landscape design with plans to install most of the plantings myself since I enjoy planting. I suspect that since Fredell did not install much of the planting, our project was less lucrative (still $$$$) and seemed to be less of a priority. Despite having a well drawn out plan as to exactly where planting would be placed, sprinkler heads were placed in incorrect places. Project was VERY expensive for the quality that I am now paying to slowly redo. I would NEVER use or recommend or use this company again.
Fantastic Experience! We had an excellent experience with Paul and the whole team at Fredell Enterprises. First of all, after calling him and leaving a message, Paul got back to us the next day. He said he would meet with us the day after that and he was there and at the time he said. We reviewed our three projects, which included tearing down and rebuilding a massive retaining wall, building a walkway out of granite pavers weighing about #20 each, and building a gas fire pit for our courtyard. Paul was easy to reach and very open to questions and providing recommendations. We started the project not being entirely sure of what we were looking for in a fire pit, and Paul helped us work through the process. He was crystal clear on the timeline for completion and pricing, and his prices were very competitive. I also want to applaud his professional and hard working team. They not only did a great job, but also were very polite and courteous. Overall, an excellent experience and we are extremely pleased with the work our retaining walls were built right and will probably last a few centuries at least, and our walkway and fire pit have exceeded our expectations as far as looks and function. It is a pleasure writing this review - we highly recommend Paul and his company!
I cannot say enough good things about Paul. I had been taken advantage of by another company who took a bunch of money and then did none of the work. Paul came to my home, looked at my contract, looked at the mess that they made in my yard and then took the time to be a witness for me in court when I sued this other company. He did all of this at no charge, just out of the goodness of his heart. He didnt have to do this. My nightmare situation had nothing to do with him, and he did not need to get involved. But he feels so strongly about landscaping companies being honest, professional, and having good, quality, work ethic, that he just couldnt stand by when this happened. I am so grateful to Paul and I can tell you from experience that he is a kind, honest, hard worker and you will not be sorry if you hire him.
We had a great experience with Fredell Enterprises, who completed landscaping around our new construction home last fall. This spring we had a couple plants (we had a very tough winter) that didnt make it, they were quickly replaced under warranty without question or hassle. Scheduling and communication was easy from beginning to end, and every person that I have worked with representing Fredell has been conscientious and polite, going beyond our expectations. We have already referred friends to Fredell, and it is easy to leave them a 5 star review.
Jon planned a beautiful back yard space for me. He listened well and clearly understood my vision and then designed a plan according, checking in with me on every step. Fredell Enterprises stands behind their work and guarantees a one year unconditional warranty on all plants which was really important after a harsh winter.
We love our new landscaping. Dave, Ismael and the whole team were meticulous, professional, and provided exceptional client service. The care they put into every detail was truly extraordinary. And their followup is tremendous. All aspects have been high value. We would highly recommend Fredell !

Patio installation was a great success. We love it. Project was accomplished quickly, quietly and cleanup was superb. This job was out second on by Fredell Enterprises and it is great when the leader (Paul) spends time making sure the job is going well and being well done. Fredell has done huge ($35,000 retaining wall move, regrade, and replacement) and small jobs for us for probably 12+ years and we could not be happier. They are prompt, incredibly skilled, friendly, and creative. I confess we have tried other places to get a cheaper fix and have gotten just that-- well, sort of, because we always had to replace what was done, so it really wasnt cheaper. This place is tops.
Fredell was by far and away the best company to come and bid out our job. They were spot on as to what they planned and delivered a top notch service. I cant say enough good things about their work.
Fredell landscaping did an amazing job and we couldnt be more pleased! We moved into the Flying Horse community about 8 months ago and needed a trusted landscaper to design and build out our entire yard and they exceeded our expectations! We had some special requests for our retaining wall and the foreman made sure we were pleased every step of the way. They were so professional and courteous and encouraged open communication throughout the entire process. Jon was detailed and meticulous when it came to choosing the best materials for durability and longevity but also helped up stay within our budget. They positioned drainage pipes throughout, from the retaining wall in the front to the sides and back of the home and took time to properly grade the entire perimeter of the house to prevent any potential for flooding. Additionally, they helped us select materials that would compliment each other in texture and color. So many other landscapers select materials that do not match and compliment each other and it looks terrible. This was something I really appreciated with Fredell. I would recommend Fredell landscaping to anyone that is looking for an exceptional landscaper with integrity, creativity and commitment to quality.
Had a rather extensive landscaping project (including deck expansion, custom gate, patio w/firepit, pergola etc) done on our new build. After inter viewing several companies we elected to go with Fredell and they did a superb job. The work was quality, the crews fast and efficient, and the follow up-touch ups over the next year were always prompt. Finally, they kept us fully informed throughout the process to include weekly updates (with photos) while we were travelling.

Fredell Enterprises provided turn-key landscaping for our new home. Experience of the Team showed through from the design and planning phase through budgeting and installation. The plan execution was as agreed and budgets met except where we changed....NO surprises! We believe we were treated very fare for those alterations. Additionally, the installation Team worked with us and listened to concerns and modified accordingly without issue. Fredell landscaped our yard and did a wonderful job! It is a small side yard in Gold Hill Mesa and they were able to make the best of the small space and met all of our requests. Paul provided great customer service and his crew did outstanding work. The brick patio is gorgeous. The plants are all healthy and have added new growth already.
We are extremely pleased with the project Fredell Enterprises just completed for us. Jon Walsh, the landscape architect, helped us with the design; he designed a moss-rock retaining wall, capped with flagstone, enclosing a bed filled with decorative rock and boulders. The retaining wall has curves in it, making for exacting rock work. The entire project turned out so well - even better than we had hoped. The three men on the crew were extremely professional and pleasant, happy to fulfill special requests, and left the job site very clean at the end of each day. Were now looking forward to our next project with Fredell!
We couldn t be more pleased with Fredell Enterprises. Their team designed and installed a complex landscape that perfectly complemented our home and surrounding forest. The design included a series of retaining walls, a water feature, flagstone pathways, native plants, trees, irrigation, and lighting. They even moved several existing large trees. I concur with other reviewers - the crew was extremely professional and pleasant. The owner was very involved in all phases of the project and ensured our satisfaction.
Fredell has really remade the look of our house and its wonderful. We started by solving some drainage issues in a heavily sloping but mature setting. We then added a Midwestern closed porch before Jon Walsh came back and met my challenge to build a lush xeriscaped yard. The only problem I have now is getting people to leave. Jon listens well and has worked to meet my vision. His staff is courteous, on time and very neat. It is always a pleasure to work with them.
Excellent communication throughout the project from design inception to build completion was experienced on my home landscaping project. After seeing the materials, the level of detail, the attention to detail, and the beautiful results I can not imagine a better outcome. When Paul Fredell suggested an aged asphalt walkway around the property we honestly could not imagine how great it would turn out. Fredell Enterprises has now completed 3 phases of landscaping at my home and my wife and I could not be happier.
