Being a small business owner myself, I value in supporting other local small businesses. I understand that the customer service industry can have its challenges, so I remained patient and understanding throughout the process. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with Hiner as they failed to fully fulfill their commitments. My concerns were repeatedly dismissed, to the point where I had to request for the owner/supervisor to visit the site in-person to assess the quality of the workmanship; which ended up resulting in a complete demolition and redo of that area. I wish it didn't have to escalate to that point, this was the first time I've experienced feeling consistently disregarded as a client, considering it was a substantial $100,000 backyard project. As a result, I have decided to hire a different contracting team to finish the remainder of our backyard.
We were ready to remove some grass and create a secret garden. We didn’t originally include a water feature, however, it is perfect! We love watching the hummingbirds, finches and butterflies. We are very pleased with Hiner Outdoor Landscaping.
I walked into this place by accident looking for a business just down the road. I’m so glad I did! I got a wealth of information and education on care for my Koi. Lori provided stellar service and took the time to educate me on some important points about my fish tank. She also showed me pictures of her pond which is inspiring me to consider putting a pond in my landscape. If I did I’d be sure to go to them for their expertise. I purchased some fish tank treatment and testing supplies. Even though I don’t have a pond they will be quite useful for my large tank. Thanks, Lori!
Hiner Outdoor Living completed a HUGE project for us within the past year. Having had a handful of poor experiences with other landscaping companies in the past, I feel inclined to share that Hiner Outdoor Living's level of professionalism, attention to detail, patience (with any questions & concerns we had throughout the process), the integrity applied towards doing the the job correctly and not cutting any corners, and the overall craftsmanship demonstrated by the team, are all qualities simply unmatched by other companies. We now have a phenomenal outdoor space carved into the side of a mountain for our 6 children to use. We will definitely be contacting Hiner again for our future landscaping/outdoor living needs.
We had a water feature in our backyard that was basically caving in and desperately needing attention. I got immediate attention along with a perfect solution. Marshall was very creative and gave us the solution. Very professional staff and crew! They did a perfect job with the water feature and landscape lighting. After 5 months of trying to find the right crew in the Springs to fix our water feature, finally found Marshall with Hiner outdoor living. They were able to negotiate a fair price and not run me around in circles trying to redo the preexisting feature from scratch like some other companies in town wanted to do. BE VERY AWARE!!! There are some real scum bags in the water feature business around here. Some of them will only talk to you if you are willing to spend 25k!!! thats Insane and ridiculous. Really happy with the experience we had with Marshall and his crew, hard working guys that put pride in their work. Love how it turned it and the cost savings Marshall suggested with new pumps and layout is highly appreciated. These guys care, just use them!

The tech spent a great deal of time emptying our pond and power washing the rocks to clean them of all of the algae He answered all of my questions and did a great job of putting the net on for winter. I will for sure use them again.
In 2018, my husband hired Hiner Outdoor Living to install a pondless water feature and pond. They did beautiful work, and we absolutely love our water features! Everyone was very professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend hiring them to create your landscaping paradise!

Hiner Outdoor Living designed and installed our new yard in Monument, Colorado, at 7500 ft elevation. Our concerns about what plants will grow at this elevation and following the HOA requirements were handled wonderfully by Matt Hiner and his team. Sherry MacWilliam did an expert landscape design, which included plant selection. Now in our 2nd year and the yard looks wonderful.

I have visited the Hiner store multiple times for some pond supplies and I just love going there. Their demonstration pond is simply awesome and a great exemple of the kind of amazing landscape they can do. Lori, the front desk gal is a delight to chat with (she has great pics of the pond her boss installed at her house!) and very knowledgeable about all things pond.
Marshall and his team were fantastic to work with. Marshall worked on the water flow like an artist working on a master piece. They matched the rock texture and color to our existing features, looks like it was always there!
Hiner Outdoor Living is the best. I have a large koi pond from them in my backyard from them and love it!!!! Im always returning to their brick and mortar store for more plants and fish, advice is always friendly and excellent. Highly recommend for all your landscaping needs and ongoing great customer service!!

Laura/Laurie was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave sound advice and was encouraging. We discussed how to manage algae blooms, fish choices, and vegetation. Only reason not to give 5 stars is that there were very limited choices regarding fish to choose from; I wanted goldfish and ended up with koi since that was all that was available.

After having Matt work on replacing landscaping and providing fire mitigation at our home after the Black Forest fire, he was our first choice to design the landscaping for our new home. The result is a stunning entry with tiled porch, pavers, retaining walls, water feature, extra large fire pit and fabulous patio! We couldnt be more pleased with the result and the workmanship and professionalism of his crew is truly second to none (thanks, Omar!). Matts design is the perfect introduction to our home in the woods and something we will continue to enjoy in the years to come.
Matt and team are truly professionals when it comes to transforming outdoor spaces. We met with several local contractors and although we met some nice people we really just weren t finding someone we really connected with. After discussing the complexities of finding a god fit with some friends who had recently updated their space, they suggested we look at local contractors on Instagram. Have never really thought of using this approach but it s how we ultimately found Hiner Outdoor Living. Ideas were fluid, communication was simple and execution was flawless. If you re considering an outdoor contractor to design and build you something amazing, definitely give them a call (and check out their Instagram :) ).
Wonderful experience. We told Matt what we were looking for and he delivered that and more. The crew was very professional and ensured the yard was picked up each evening. Most importantly for us, they ensured that the yard was safe for our dogs and the gates were closed and secured. The whole process was great. We absolutely love our pond and backyard.

Marshall Hiner did a great job laying out our new water feature, and bringing it alive at night with lighting. Additional changes were suggested around our property that enhanced it, and added the character and enjoyment we were looking for!

We have had Hiner Landscapes do a couple of jobs for us over the past few years. On both occasions the projects were done efficiently and professionally.
