Juan has been great to work with, he came and did a walkway on the side of my house and did all of the work I asked him to do and then some. He and his son have come back once a month since to do maintenance on my yard and always does it quickly and efficiently.
Recently moved into Colorado Springs. Our multi level backyard was literally solid weeds. Contacted Juan with AJ Landscaping. Now our backyard is a showcase. Thanks to Juan we have a beautiful backyard complimented with rocks, mulch, stamped cement and a beautiful lawn area. Also we have a lovely fruit tree area that was hard to see due to the weeds. In addition Juan did some extras that even added more beauty to the yard. We were so satisfied that we also had Juan trim the very large Ash tree we have in our front yard hanging over the house. AJ came out on a days notice to do an estimate on a backyard "cleanup" job (clean out plants, rocks, ground cover, lay down fabric and cover with mulch) He and his team came out two days later and completed the job in a day and a half. Fantastic results. AJ understood exactly what we wanted and made it happen! He was there throughout the process, directing his crew and pitching in as needed. Don't always see that from contractors.
DO NOT get services done here. My backyard was supposed to be a hangout oasis. Him and his team came in here and gave me nothing that I asked for. Looked like a backyard I could do myself. Save yourself the hassle and move on. I paid him half upfront and it looked like he recycled everything from an old project. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and asking for my money back. Look at my “magical” walk way and a patio that doesn’t match. The concrete was supposed to be removed but instead he put a different colored concrete around. I would show videos of how everything was not leveled. His work is terrible and all I want it my money back to pay someone who actually cares. He should be embarrassed.
I called Juan and needed a quote for some clean up in the front and back yard. He came within 2 hours and gave me a quote. He came the next day and worked in freezing temperatures and completed the work exceptionally. My yard looks so nice, and I am all ready for spring. Thank you so much for the wonderful service.
Very poor experience with Juan's services. Be careful and aware. He gave a quote for the removal of plants and move rocks from one side of our yard, then he changed the price at time of payment. He sent a concrete company to our house to give us a quote for another project. He told me to tell the concrete guys to move the rocks! He and his son removed the plants, leaving the stump. My husband had to insist he remove the stump, Juan was trying to cover it with mulch and be done with it. I asked him to move one additional rock. When I went to pay him the $1200 (which was high but we were in a time crunch), he requested we pay him $1800!!! for the addition of one rock! We paid him $1650 which was the silliest spending of that amount of money ever. Regret my decision to hire him at all. I believe he has a $ amount in mind of how much he needs and he throws out those random, very high numbers. Hope you learn from our mistake.
I am so pleased with the work we had done. Juan is a real gentleman and he, along with the workers he brought, were so hard working. Beautiful work and great work ethic.Definitely call AJ's Landscaping for your yard. You will not be disappointed.

You are a bad driver
Hiring AJs Landscaping Service to spruce up my yard/field was an excellent win. Juan Zarate maintained excellent communication the start of the job through the very end. Great work, i highly recommend AJs Landscaping. We had delays due to weather, I am going to hire AJs again for some additional work, and will recommend his business to other family member and friends.
Juan is a Person of good values, very professional and with great communication. I have known him for many years now and he is very respectful and responsible. Give him a chance to work with you, he is great at what he does. Support a local business. You won t only be supporting his business but a wonderful family.
He missed our appointment. I had to contact him and he said he got tied up. If you run a business you should at least communicate with your potential clients. Very unprofessional. Also said he would call by Monday but nothing! Ill spend my money elsewhere. **1 star just for communication...I do not know what kind of work he does.**
Very poor quality of workmanship. Built a small porch that has fell apart, and is not usable. Will cost thousands to have fix correctly. Please be careful !! I see why you don t do porches now, this was flag stone and it wasn t right from day one. Caved in in less than a year. You charge me twice what it going to take to completely rebuild it!
My wife and I almost were almost ran over, as pedestrians, by AJ s Landscaping Services truck in the parking lot of Target on Academy (White Dodge Dually). The guy driving was a real class act, smiled right at us afterwards. Watched him drive past us and almost run a mother and child over in front of Safeway, same plaza. I wonder if they received a smile as well. Definitely not using this company or recommending them for any services in the area. Management should really have a conversation with Timmy Toughnuts in the White Dodge Dually.
I hired this company for a landscaping job. They did a thorough job on getting rid of the weed and disposing them. The pricing was very reasonable and I am very satisfied with the job and the cost. I have acquired several different quotes and they cost about twice as much and doing less. I will definitely hire this company again in the future because they provide honest and quality service.
They repaired my 6 cedar privacy fence by replacing 15 post and two complete sections. The estimate given was accurate and matched the invoice. I was very satisfied with the completed work and high quality performance in a timely manner.
