TruGreen Lawn Care in Collinsville

Oh boy they ll call you couple time daily even from their number and 800 number. Trying sell you more service etc. I discontinued with them just for that reason. After I cancelled my service they ll still call you even when I asked them to put me in no call list. Nothing work.

Techs always shut/latch our privacy fence gate when they leave and we appreciate that!

David Demmer from TruGreen Lawn Care came out on Friday July 26th to service my lawn. He performed a weed control over my entire yard with with hosing which proved to be very effective. It was the best weed control job that has ever been performed on my yard mostly due to the fact that he use the long hosing to service my yard. Great job David it is very much appreciated!

Tru Green Collinsville burnt up my yard with a weed application and I have been trying for over three weeks to get a call back from a mgr or supervisor and they have not responded talked with Cus svc several times and still no response. avoid at all costs

We moved and despite calling to notify them and transfer our service they continued to provide service at the old address. Then they turned us over to collections for a service at our new address that we never received a bill for, so I m not certain we ever received the service. We will be going with a local company with better communication.

I had Javaun B. come out to service my yard today. Trugreen calls Javaun a Trugreen Lawn Care Specialist. I call him a Trugreen Customer Service Care Specialist and Standard Barer. Javaun serviced my yard with fertilizer and weed control treatments. He took the time to ask questions about any yard care concerns I may have, and ensured those concerns were addressed as he treated my property. Javauns cordial interactive communications along with his attention to details while performing his job placed him in high standing with me. He sets a standard worthy of being emulated. Great job servicing my Lawn.

Not recommended for properties with dogs. Have had multiple techs come do treatments and leave without speaking with me or letting me know how long to keep pets and kids off the grass. They note in the account that they came to the door and no one answered. Everyone has a motion-activated video doorbell these days. We all know when someone has come to the door--let alone that I work remotely next to the door with a dog next to me who would immediately start barking. I called and asked for a note to be added to my account: do not treat the property without speaking with me first. Some techs started coming to the door. Todays didnt. TruGreens position was that they added my note to lawn care services but todays service doesnt use the same notes (so, which is it? Came to the door and I didnt answer, or didnt know I wanted them to come to the door?). Its not my desire to be difficult, but none of that helps keep my dog from getting exposed to god-knows-what out there. For someone to say they came to the door when they clearly did not is a big issue for me. Were at a point where Ive had to key-lock the fence because I cant count on TruGreens help with this issue.

Excellent communication! I recieved four texts that Joel (the tech) would be arriving and when he did, Joel rang my doorbell. He asked any concerns I had. Once I had none, he went to work. Eight minutes later I recieved a txt indicating he had finished and there was a link to the summery showing what and how much had been applied. FIRST CLASS, TRUEEGREEN!

After talking with Customer Service about price hike and there guys poor service on my lawn. The pricing was corrected and the service guy they sent out did a good job. I am pleased with there service so far, well see.

This was my first treatment and Im just not sure if my entire property was treated. Im not sure how you can tell where my property begins or ends by looking at a satellite image. From what I could see from my cameras it was not.

Arrived at 1:17 and finished at 1:29. No way can to do this work in 12 minutes.

I initially signed up for a treatment plan a few days ago. After reading the bad reviews I decided to cancel yesterday and try to do my yard on my own. When I first called the worker (same one that started my plan) tried to talk me out of canceling by saying the bad reviews were old and theyre customer service is much better now, and just to push back the start date when the field agent called. He promised I wouldnt be charged anything until the first treatment was started. I checked my account and it was true that I hadnt been charged. After thinking it over I called him back 15min later and told him I still wanted to cancel. He had a very annoyed attitude with me and said he couldnt cancel it and Id have to talk to the call center. The call center lady was actually much friendlier than him (contrary to the trash he talked about his own call centers customer service level). She quickly canceled it and said my money would be refunded....Im thinking what money? I check my account and see the mad sales rep charged my card for $422 after I told him I wanted to cancel, clearly out of spite. Super petty and unprofessional. So Im writing this review to let readers know theyre customer service has not improved at all and I strongly urge you to go somewhere else.

I called for a free quote. They did not provide the services I specifically said I wanted, and kept badgering me with You can try us one time for only x amount! Finally got them off the phone, and they have called me three times in the 24 hours since, all from different numbers to get around the BLOCK I PLACED ON THEM ON MY PHONE! Scummiest business Ive ever NOT dealt with. Edit: 4 calls in the last day now.

They charged me for an application that I didnt want. I have called on 2 previous occasions to get this squared away and both times they told me I would be receiving my refund. They say 7 to 14 days. Its been 30 days and I just called a third time. Plus the the last gentleman that sprayed my yard said you still got a lot of weeds.. the stuff I got is stronger. So that leads me to believe the company water down the keep you with appointments. My crabby grass and weeds at still showing. Just a bad experience. Cancelling service and trying a competitor

I have an awful lot of shade ( which is a good thang but for.grass growing it does require more work.). Truegreen help me keep the yard fertilized and help with weed control and the price was very reasonable especial if you pay at the beginning of the service.

Will only give quotes via phone. I asked for quote via text and they wouldn t and removed me from their contact list. I was able to get other companies to give me quotes via text.

The tree/shrub person was attentive when I ask if he could give a shot of fertilizer to an older tree that was pretty stressed appreciate that.

Their technicians are not trust worthy. I repeatedly have to call them back to complete the jobs their technicians say they accomplished. At the ever increasing prices, it is no longer worth my time to deal with Tru Green. It s a shame what American worth ethic has become dis honesty is the new norm. I have multiple videos of Tru Green employees walking in front of my home on the cell phone and not working. They spend 4 minutes here and charge full price without treating my property. When they aerate and seed they damage my drain pop ups repeatedly and use a very small amount of seed. No longer worth it for me.

The worst experience ever! Went with TG the yr before... not what we had hoped for in terms of results. Tried another lawn company last yr who was taking so long to call back this yr that when TG called and convinced us to go with them again we gave it a try. Our lawn looks the WORST out of our subdivision! The guys were leaving signs in the yard when they never performed the work. We watched one guy who didnt know we were home and he barely did anything! Took him 6 mins with a lawn our size when we were already told how long it should take. When we approached him, he says Oh, I have a family emergency and was in a hurry. Called TG to NO avail. WORTHLESS!!!

I have had to repeatedly call and cancel tru greens service and they still came out and sprayed anyway. I have had 3 different people from tru green say I will get a refund. However it is a 6 weeks later still no refund. Would not recommend 2 anyone

I pre paid for Trugreen over 6 weeks ago. They haven t performed a service at all in that time and keep making excuses why they havent. I have repeatedly asked for my money back and they refuse to issue me a full refund. This company is nothing more than a scam and a thief.

This has been a terrible experience. After a frustrating experience using TrueGreen services last year I canceled (which for some reason required multiple phone calls) TrueGreen for this season during the winter months. Even though I canceled they came and applied a mosquito application this spring. I have now had to call 3 times and am told each time I will not be charged for the application since I have already canceled. Well the keep sending me bills How many phone calls does canceling a service take . I d stick with a local company if you need this service.

I guess the name TruScam wouldn t sell well. Terrible service. I had to spray for weeds myself anyway because, they only did a little spot spraying in the spring. I had a standing order to knock or ring our call me before service because our back gates are locked and they weren t doing our whole back and side yards. I would let the dog out and see some bits of what I suppose is fertilizer and a sign in the yard. The receipts in their app said they did the whole area, but didn t specify what they actually did. Save your money, go somewhere else or keep doing it yourself.

In April 2022 I received a text telling me an appointment was set for a tech to be at my house to treat the lawn. Not only was I in the hospital, but I had cancelled the account at the end of 2021 due to poor performance. I canceled the appointment in the same text. After being released from the hospital I returned home to find a bill and service statement attached to my door. I have made several calls to try and clear this up as well as cancel appointments they continue to send texts about. I even made a visit to the sales office in Collinsville, IL only to be told they only handle sales at that location. Evidently there is no real person to discuss this matter with except the collection agency that wants $63.95 on behalf of TruGreen.

i had Trugreen last year. They are okay. Trugreen treats Some yards. They do not have a Bermuda grass solution at all. On top of it i just got a phone call out of the blue that says we are coming out tomorrow. I dont remember ever authorizing this and now on hold and have been for 30 min. I dont want to use this service in the future at all.

TruGreen purchased a local company, along with the contract to do my yard. Their customer service is extremely poor. Their call line typically has a 1-2 hour wait time. With option to leave a voicemail and get a call back within one day, no one ever calls back. One is then relegated to an online chat. Sad. Any respectable local company would be calling you.

We have had lawn fertilizer service since summer 2020 - after the last application on May 20 we noticed several brown spots on the lawn. Have called Customer Service several times - service visits are scheuled then next day rescheduled. No one calls, no one has come to inspect the lawn and tell us how they plan to fix it. Cannot call the local branch in Collingsville, IL - phone rolls over to central Customer Service and they dont help. Custoemr Service says someone from branch will call - No calls.

Four times their automatic phone system called me to say they would be there the next day, and FOUR times the automatic system called back and cancelled. I have no time to receive calls at work, only to be cancelled over and over again. No, it wasnt raining on the day you cancelled (despite what is in their records). No, I did not cancel the service on any day (that note was in your records). I spent a half hour holding on the phone to speak to someone. They obviously dont care at all about their customers. Stay away from TruGreen.

From the start of the first application: I had to call and complain because there was little to no change in the weeds in my yard. Then, they came out and sprayed for grubs now I have MOLES everywhere! I then received a call stating that I have bugs on my bushes...I only have 3 bushes in my yard one of them being a rose bush... All a plot to get more money to me. I told the agent that the man needed to concentrate more on spaying/ treating my yard instead of looking at the bushes. Thats when the agent said they only spot spray during this time of year. I really didnt understand that because I dont spot PAY the bill they charge!

Of all the lawn services around (100 and 100) they were the only service willing to come out. Crew did a great job. Most lawn services were not even interested to call back or offer a quote.

Would have given this company 5 stars two or three years ago. Not today. They have been a no show for recent service and continue to disappoint. Once we hold them accountable for the weed growth they have caused we will likely look elsewhere You can no longer speak to anyone local without begging to have the GM call you within 48 hours is the best you get. Another great local company sold out to the big guys. Sad.

Bill for services not rendered, poor customer service, lack of knowledge. Do not follow simple instructions and my lawn looks like it has more brown spots than it did before I started service with them. They use pack back sprayers to treat your yard if they are lazy, most of them are. Steer clear and get results elsewhere. They like to have many customers and not satisfied customers!!

The representative that treated my lawn the first time was in a hurry. Sprayed my yard AND my garden with weed killer. Next morning my garden was dead or dying. They came a second time and a very nice young man came and seemed to do a good job but the weeds that were still there loved the fertilizer and are growing faster than grass!! I talked to a very nice lady at the office and finally was returned the entire amount that I had paid. I am now cancelling my service. Not worth the money. I can t see a difference in my yard at all.

Very professional, articulated lawn needs, executed plan of action. Elevated weed infested, yellow/brownish lawn into healthy plush green lawn (lawn stripes included). Purchase TruGreen services with confidence.

They came and that is it. Asked them to let me know when so I could be there they said 12 to 5 so I took a half day and they came at 9? Wasted my earned PTO. Then they dont communicate at all. Told me they did a test and never heard anything for 3 weeks about it so I cancelled service. I dont mind paying but no follow up for my money when I told them that up front. Not happening!!!

I have asked about five times now to be taken off the call list but I keep getting calls from this company. We went with another company and I keep telling them this. It is 7pm and they called me AGAIN. It s the same guy but from two different numbers. Sometimes it ll be from a St. Louis number and other times a Collinsville number. I want it to stop.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their guarantee service yields almost no results. It is pathetic that you can, and do, get better results using consumer grade treatments. I bought a years worth of service and my yard was in worse condition than when they started service the year prior. Save your time/money and dont get involved with this scam. Edit: Trugreen reached out to see what they could do to keep a customer. They agreed to render service to restore my lawn to its original condition before Trugreen started service at no charge. They ended up trying to bill for more services. Avoid this company at all costs! Get and keep everything in writing if you are unfortunate enough to do business with them.

Well it all started out so good. Great price super nice office guy Keith and tech was nice as well. The tech came and he was treating my yard and I asked him if he was putting down grub treatment he said it was an not on my ticket and then came back and then said it was. Well my original quote from my local office included grub control fertilizer and weed control. All for the first time price of $27 well before he left he gave me the receipt and it showed I owed another $50 for grub control and $27 for the first service. So I called the local office didn t get an answer and then called customer service. The lady who answered was extremely rude and said that s never included with the starter service And grub control is always 50$. fee. I explained on the quote I I was sent said grub control, fertilizer and weed control for $27. It says nothing about grub control being an extra $50 charge nowhere on my contract that they emailed to me and I have pictures to prove it. She offered to remove half the fee and I declined. However Keith did remove the charge after I asked him to. Anyway Next issue, the guy who treated my yard sprayed some of my vines and flowers so now I ve got a vine that s dying that s been at the house for 20+ years and my whole row of flowers in front died I had a mow them down. In conclusion I must say that Keith was professional but customer service was far from it and as for the tech he was a nice and Answered my questions then sprayed my yard and missed a bunch of clover some spots are dead and others are just alive and growing, also I m not sure if they even put grub control down to be honest. I called and texted Keith with no response or text back after saying he would come by and look at the damage. Have all text and pics of my contract. Go with another company. Good luck.

I was happy with the work they did on my lawn but I called and they were supposed to come out and give me an estimate on caritfor my bushes and trees but didn t show up!

Lawn damaged for the third year . In the Spring the lawn was plush after multiple applications one week apart the lawn showed chemical burns . I stopped the rep before he did the entire area. A manager looked at the damage and did not call back or respond. He acknowledged the damage.

We were called by Steven Ahillen and prepaid for lawn treatment for the entire summer. We were given a date they would be out and then that day came and went. I called to find out when they were rescheduling us. That day too came and went. Today after a 48 minute call and being transferred 4 times I am told they are refunding my money. Lets hope thats true.

I couldnt be anymore displeased with Tru Greens Collinsville location. Tru Green as a whole might be a great company but the Collinsville location is a joke. I started noticing clover and weeds starting to take over my yard and I was confused because I pay for weed control and fertilizer. My wife had told me that she happened to be home one afternoon when they arrived and watched them knock on the door (no answer) and then was gone within 5 minutes. Never once went to the side yard and only did spots in the front. I thought that she could have possible over reacted, I decided to position my cameras on the yard to catch this myself. On THREE separate occasions they came out, said that they did the work that I am paying for and on camera nothing was done. I tried to work with this location multiple times. They told me that they would have someone come out and re apply the product which was never done. Who knows how many times they came out and did not treat my yard. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION.... GET A LOCAL COMPANY .

Totally negative experience. They managed to increase the number of weeds in my lawn, burn spots in several areas, not cover the the agreed upon ground area, and let tree growth start along my privacy fence. I am not a happy camper.

Acquired Country Club and its a bad experience so far. Could not correctly schedule service, but billed me for service not performed. Bill clearly stated service was done. Will NOT USE Trugreen and very sad a good company was swallowed by subpar organization. Person on phone said thanks for choosing... Clearly didnt pay attention to a word I said. I did NOT and will NOT choose this company.

Impossible to get a hold of a local branch. Instead you have to deal with a call center in Dallas only to be told someone from the local branch will call you and never get a call. I guess thats what you should expect from corporate companies that try to act like they actually care about their customers. They prefer volume of customers over quality of service.

Do not trust TruGreen. I agreed to one application for a cost of $29.99, instead they charged my card $507. I have reached out to their customer care department three times and they dont respond. In addition, they put down the one application I did agree to in the middle of a rain storm. There are too many other companies out there with similar prices, please do not use TruGreen!

Had TruGreen treat our lawn last year. No significant improvement either in color, thickness or weeds. I then dropped their service this year. Since dropping them, I have had at least 12 phone calls from a supervisor wanting to know if I want them to come back - sometimes 2-3 in a day. I have attempted to stop these harassing calls to no avail. The last 2 calls, the caller has hung-up on me. If I had ever entertained the notion of giving them another try, I, now, have lost that notion completely. I would never recommend the service either from a results perspective or from a post-service harassment perspective. Is there a way to give a negative star rating?

Cancelled lawn mow service so that nut grass could be treated. Date was schedule and no one showed up nor did I get a call saying why. I called in today and now, need to wait four days for service.

The specialist introduced herself and explained what she was going to do today before she began. I dont often watch how they do the job, but sometime they miss the area between the side walk and street. She seemed to hit all the area of the lawn and also the area between the street and side walk. I was impressed.

I have been with TruGreen for years and years - I am always happy with you guys. I do know this time of year the crabgrass is awful but hey its Minnesota. hahahaha I would never change - the people who come out to do the lawns are always very pleasant.

I appreciate the specialist taking the time to do the work specified and then reporting on his actions. I feel he/she has taken the time necessary to do an adequate and awesome job to make the lawn look decent enough for me. It is worth the money I am spending.

I am not a grass man and do not claim to be, so that is why I hired TruGreen. Can I tell you what they do or have done? No. Even though they send me messages, I do not have to worry because I can tell you this, my lawn has never looked better!!!
