Add on to my post from 2023... Yesterday (9/9/2024) Terra came out and gave my lawn a total overhaul with over-seeding, aeration and topsoil dressing. The crew works very hard and goes above and beyond what I would have expected. They did not just do one pass over the lawn, they did multiple passes. Fall 2023 post: Terra truly knows about lawn care! After another lawn care company destroyed my lawn by applying a treatment last August in 100 degree weather, I have had to begin all over again. Terra has a great reputation so I decided that I would have them do my lawn care treatments throughout the year and also do my over-seeding and aeration this fall. I was scheduled for early September. Of course, when the weather was reaching 90 degrees for the whole week, I was skeptical of the timing. I was assured that the seed would be fine and that the heat would be great for germination. I was encouraged to water consistently if drought conditions persisted. After the lawn was aerated and seeded, I decided to wait until after the week of hot, very dry weather and only then I was going to begin watering. I knew that once water became consistent, that the seed would become activated and I would need to stay on top of watering. Much to my surprise, we finally had a mild rain off and on for a day, about 10 days after the initial application. I noticed by the end of the week that my lawn was filling in with beautiful new green grass. Scott, the Lawn Care Manager, had told me to trust him and the timing and also to not over think things in regard to me having to do a lot of additional watering, etc. He was right! A lawn that was destroyed a year ago...you cant even tell now! Pricing is very reasonable and Terra always responds to emails and messages. Often you actually get a human when you call them! If you arent happy with your current lawn care company, definitely give Terra a call! you wont regret it.

Ive been using Terra for years now and Ive been extremely satisfied with their services. I have the nicest lawn on the street thanks to Terra. They are also a very knowledgeable resource when I have questions about anything lawn related.

We have been very pleased with the lawn service we have received last year and this year from Terra. Within hours after an application they send you an email explaining what they did and why. They also report any lawn conditions they observe and what could be done to remedy the problem. Jose Tellez was the most recent technician to make application to our lawn and report a couple of issues caused by the lack of water, but high night time humidity. Terras lawn experts send out informative emails explaining the weather conditions impact on turf and how they adjust their applications to make them most effective. We used another local lawn service in the past and we never knew what they had done, only that there had been an application of something.

We are very pleased that after the owner saw our previous negative review they contacted us by phone. They were very apologetic for how we were talked to by their manager. Good morning! I had my front lawn done on 5/23, 4 medium beds weeded, mulched, Bushes trimmed, weeping Cherry tree trimmed, 1 small bed around a crab apple weeded and mulched.I have been plagued by horrendous amts of thistles, yesterday when the tech was here, he was spraying the area where the thistles have already started to pop up again! He was surprised that it was just last WK and they started popping up ! I asked him to spray them again and he was very kind and obliging! Thank you Terra and thank you Mr Marcos! Kudos to Terra!

Awesome service and customer service!

Herbicide was applied just three hours prior to rain beginning. Easier to kill broadleaf weeds such as dandelions and some clover were affected, but more difficult weeds will require a follow up. I do expect Terra to return and apply additional broadleaf herbicide prior to their next regular 6 week treatment. I was also disappointed to find out that their normal treatment schedule does not include sedge grass, for which there is an additional charge.

Terra has exceptional customer service, Alex answered all of my questions over the phone. Bryan serviced my house and is extremely personable and so enjoyable to chat with. He is very knowledgeable and gives great advice.

If you solely want the least expensive company, I recommend you call TLC I never felt that not matching a price is condescending. I was looking for a justification of why the prices were higher than TruGreen. I had an intention to go with you guys but after I spoke with Scott, I would stay away from you guys. Used their service last week for a mow and trim service. Kristin was extremely responsive via e-mail and scheduled us the next day. It helps having a local team, since weve typically seen others struggle with scheduling. The crew was polite, professional, maintained good quality and got the job done quickly.

We have engaged Terra several times over the last decade. My wife is truly pleased with the quality and attentiveness of every crew dispatched to care for our property. Prior to Terra, nobody even came close to the quality of their shaping and pruning of our nearly 150 feet of yews! Add to that trees, additional shrubbery and the awesome care of 50 feet of second story arborvitae s. Kristin handled a very tight schedule for us, Fred came out and estimated the job, and a three person crew acted in nearly choreographed precision to complete in less than half a day. Impressive all around!

I cant say enough about the fantastic job Terra did on our property. From taking out a tree in the back yard and regrading the lawn to building a great new wall around our front garden. They worked tirelessly all day! We would recommend Terra for any landscaping work you may have.

I ve had a couple not so great conversations with Scott, whom I believe to be the owner. He is hot tempered and could care less about the level of service that he/his company provides. Two years ago I walked Scott around my yard and showed him the boundaries of our property. For every service they ve applied they neglected to treat a 3 foot section (Scott states it s one foot but my tape measure states it s a 3 path) of our lawn. We subscribed to his lawn care services and we had a few issues throughout. For one - last summer our yard was taken over by nut sedge. I called to address this and instead of simply saying they could treat it and it would cost whatever it would cost I was blasted, like yelled out and scolded by him and given all the reasons nut sedge could be growing in my lawn. I tried to explain as a client trying to perfect my lawn I believed they had an opportunity to bring their observations to my attention and let me know they had a solution to help me out. But that wasn t at all how he handled it. Early this spring I had two bare spots. I amended the soil and seeded the area and I asked their technician to avoid those areas. Thankfully the next day we received an email from Scott stating his technicians observed a couple bare spots and they avoided the areas and offered to amend the soil and seed them . Thank god he and his team paid such good attention to our property. The last service they applied was done on July 31 and I noticed they did not treat the far right side of our property so I called Scott. He was actually quite professional during this call. He stated he d send the crew back to test the area. Today we received an email stating until the invoice for the July 31 service is paid they were unwilling to schedule our fall aeration service. Ironically we had just paid this invoice through our bank s bill pay system or he d wait the rest of his life for that money. I simply asked if they d been back to apply the two treatments to the missed area and Scott said that he would just do those services when here to do our 5th treatment this fall. I was surprised just because this is in stark contrast to how he said he intended to remedy the missed area when he and I spoke two weeks ago. I am a paying customer, correction, I am no longer a paying customer, but I was until today. I can t believe someone this disrespectful and unprofessional can thrive in today s business climate. I would STRONGLY advise you to explore ANY other option for your lawn care needs before opting for using Terra.

This summer, I hired Terra to restore a weed and tree root covered area along my driveway back to grass, and enlarge a water drainage swale that cut through the same area. I fully explained to the crew upon arrival what I wanted for the enlarged swale. Rather than enlarge the swale, the crew completely filled in the existing swale, which I again explained was not correct and would cause water backup into my garage. The crew left with the swale filled in and upon further complaints, another crew returned a week later to finally fix the swale.

I have been in the lawn care maintenance and landscaping business for 32 years. Owning my own residential business and now working for a larger commercial company. I was working from home when the crew from Terra Lawn Care arrived at my house for the Fall aeration and overseeding service. (I marked my electric dog fence with white paint and lawn flags). I watched the crew walk the yard front and back looking at the markings and the flags on the grass. In my 32 years, I have witnessed all of the local and national businesses performing aeration and overseeding in the neighborhoods I serviced as well as my own neighborhood, and I have never seen a company do a more thorough job than Terra Lawn Care. Every inch of the yard was aerated (in several directions) and overseeded in several directions. Any bare spots were slit seeded. There is not a doubt in my mind that my lawn will look amazing and out shine any of my neighbors who use other companies for lawn care. Terra Lawn Care is far superior to anyone else when it comes to their turf programs and the fall lawn care services. Terra Lawn Care employees are professional and very well trained at what they do.

My husband hired Terra to care for the health of our lawn. Until then, I did not have faith in lawn care specialists because we tried several who did not produce a healthy lawn for several years. Within the first year, Terra succeeded with noticeable results. It has been about three years and our lawn looks great. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and respectful.

I had a very bad experience with another lawn care company. They treated new grass that they had planted after installing a hardscape project and killed the grass. They also over treated an area in my woods that left me with a huge area of bare spots and uneven ground. I decided to give Terra a try. I have a wooded lot so I have an entirely different set of lawn problems from the average homeowner. I found there are 2 huge differences between Terra and the other lawn care companies. First, their Lawn Care Manager, Scott Gyuris is receptive and truly cares about my lawn as if it was his own. He has the knowledge and backs it up with products to tackle any problem. Secondly his technicians are well trained and take the time to do the job right unlike the previous company who seemed to be in a race to get in and get out as fast as they could. I used Terra for their full lawn treatment plan and fall aeration. As far as my bare spots Scott suggested to do topdressing and over seeding and now I have even ground with beautiful grass. My entire lawn has been transformed thanks to Scott and his team. Terra may not be the cheapest but if you want quality service, I recommend you call them.

This is our first year with Terra and so far I am very impressed. We had a problem with dandelions after the first application this year. I called and they responded immediately. They were back out in two days taking care of the problem. Scott was very professional and knowledgeable.

Our lawn was in bad shape. I tried everything you can buy to get rid of all the weeds, crabgrass, onion grass etc. Almost our whole street uses Terra so we decided to as well. I would say within a year and a half the lawn is unbelievable. There is absolutely nothing we (normal consumers) can buy to get the outcome Terra does. Their knowledge is unmatched. I have recommended multiple friends and family and they have been as happy as we have!!!!

I have been using Terra for a few years for various things but consistently now since moving to our new home in 2019. When we moved in our lawn was in pretty bad shape from the prior owners who simply didn t seem to care about their property. Fred runs a first class operation here. I reached out for help designing large-scale, residential privacy landscaping. Fred was very responsive and put together a perfect design to achieve what I was looking for. His team worked quickly and cut no corners. I was extremely pleased with the end result. UPDATE: When I let Fred know that five of the 75+ shrubs had died, he offered to replace them which he then delivered on. I plan to move all my landscaping services over to Terra now. Very high integrity organization.

I have used Terra for lawn treatments after contracting with a few other companies in previous seasons. Terra has, by far, been the most responsive of any of its competitors to any concerns that Ive had and has provided consistently excellent service overall. The service has been so good that Ive also contracted them for a variety of one-offs such as specific pest treatments on trees and area lawn seeding. Scott regularly provides email updates for things to watch out for. While the communications are definitely linked to business opportunities, the content is not spam and always very informative and has helped me to catch things and remedy on my own in most cases.

Really impressed by the lawn service (mowing) guys today. I have a couple of bare spots and did some work this past weekend to resolve (rake, seed, and added topsoil). Mowers came today (on schedule!) and they slowed the mowers down and raised the mowing platform when going over these spots - so as not to disturb the work I did to reseed. Terra installed a bluestone walkway for us, and we are very impressed with the quality workmanship that went into the installation! Each crew that was part of the process was professional, timely, and had great attention to detail. We are so happy that we worked with them - it was a smooth and quick project and we are so happy with the result!

I use the 6 step lawn treatment with terra, and I must say my grass is much greener. I recently had a French drain put in and my back yard is a mess from that and trees being taken down and using this service I ve already noticed a huge difference in the yard which I thought was a loss cause. I have about .42 acres and I m just north of 75 dollars a treatment. It s pay as you go so you don t have to pay it all up front which is nice. Obviously you can pay all up front. The staff is really nice and very responsive. The treatments are pet friendly after it drys which is usually a hour or 2. If you think about it for all the lawn treatments at Lowe s you re paying maybe 10-15 dollars more each time for professionals to apply it and do it at the right times of the year. Also if you re reading this and wondering I have a clay yard and yes this is still working on my lawn. Highly recommend!

Terra has been managing treatment application on my lawn for 3-4 years. They do great work and it shows. My lawn has looked so good over the years that my neighbor and family member started using Terra. I even got a comment from a DoorDasher who said I didnt want to turn around in your driveway because your grass looked too good to risk driving into it.

I contacted Terra for help establishing my lawn. I spoke with Scott, he was extremely knowledgeable and honest. He told me that for the best results it would be good to wait a few months. He easily could have taken advantage of me, but was honest and told me what to do in the meantime. They give reasonable quotes, do good work (use hoses rather than having heavy machines on the lawn after heavy rains), and keep us informed about common issues and additional services and why they many be needed. We plan to continue to use them since we are really happy with them.

Just finished the first full year of service from Terra on a lawn in desperate need of a makeover. They have done an excellent job of reinvigorating my lawn in some challenging areas due to shade and slope. I expected it would take about 4 years to truly get the lawn in excellent shape. Weve been using Terra since moving into our new home 4 years ago. We had a clay-like turf situation, and poor grass growth due to lackluster seed used by our builder. Investing in Terra was something we didnt take lightly as its definitely a financial investment, but after 4 years of being on the turf care program and 2 years of aerating and overseeding, we by far have grass that is noticeably different than our neighbors who arent customers (which, by the way, is less than half. Our neighbors have mostly transitioned to Terra after seeing the great work on the few lawns they initially treated.) They use high-quality products, and their technicians are tenured and have deep knowledge of what they are doing. Really happy with the work that weve had done by Terra over the years!

We just recently hired Terra Lawn Care for a year contract. I was very impressed with their initial service for an estimate on my property and discussion of the services available. I got quotes from 4 companies and although they werent the cheapest bid I wanted to hire a local company vs a huge one and I chose them based on Scotts knowledge and professionalism. They have applied our first weed control application and also did aeration and over seeding of a couple areas and cant wait to see the yard as the spring arrives.

Our tech Bryan was very helpful and oh so kind. We had a hurt little bird and he found it and told me where it was so I could try and help it. Made me happy to be able to help a bird because our technician knew where he saw it last! Kindness ROCKS!

We can see that our tech takes care and pride in what she does. She was very thorough and cleaned off our walks and driveway.

I was looking for a quality landscaper who would treat my lawn like their own. I am a bit picky about the way my lawn looks and tried a few of the big companies. Honestly I was never thrilled with the results or the price! I then wanted to try a local company recommended to me by a neighbor. Terra quoted me a very fair price and their tech Brian couldn t be more professional. He didn t try to oversell unnecessary services and immediately I trusted his advice. My lawn looks better than it s ever looked with just one treatment! Absolutely would give this company a chance.

This company provides excellent lawn care. Our lawn has never looked so good. Terra is detail-oriented and fast - the mowing and trimming look great every time. They respond to emails almost immediately. They have an online portal that makes it easy to pay and request services. We have used other companies in the past and none compare to Terra.

Terra has completely transformed my yard from one that was being overrun by weed-spread from an adjacent lawn. Theyve managed to halt the spread and reverse the trend and now its green, healthy and thriving where it once was spotty, filled with crabgrass and other weeds. Just wanted to give a shout out to Terra for the excellent job w core aeration. As a DIYyer and 2nd year home owner, I wanted to have a nice looking yard. After core aeration, starter fert w/ milo, and a nice kbg blend the results are outstanding. The stripes give it some extra pop too

Aeration and seeding was done and with a few days of rain I have a massive improvement in regards to the way the lawn has bounced back. I am very pleased with the results after only 10-12 days.

Once the weather gets warm, my back yard becomes full of mosquitoes. I needed to make sure my 1 year old daughter could play safely outside without worrying about her getting bitten. I get an email notification right away when the treatment has been completed and it works great! No mosquitoes! We can enjoy our time playing outside again!

Training needed on customer service along with staff that answers phone. Poor lawn service, killed new grass had growing. Called to complain no apologies just wanted to argue.

Mr. Oskanian, the owner of Terra, came to our home and helped us with the trimming and clean -up work that we needed and helped with new shrub selection and design. It did take some time to get on the schedule. Terra assigned a 4 man crew to do the work. They were knowledgable, friendly and efficient and left the site clean after completion. The crew completed everything discssed in the planning stage and the result is very nice. We are pleased with the job Terra did.

Terra wax professional, courteous clean and prompt in managing my grounds. We had 10 yards of mulch delivered and the entire grounds weeded, trees and shrubs pruned and seal plants removed. Everything was done exactly the way I wanted it from the owners proposal to the finished job. Hard working and Paul the head guy was the hardest worker among the group. Excellent workmanship and customer service!

Wanted to have Terra come out and install a drain and also weed and mulch my beds. Set up an estimate for the drain at 8am on a weekday before work. The estimator shows up 45 minutes late and never calls to saying hes going to be late. He sends an estimate a week later. I say great when can we schedule something. He tells me 3 weeks out. A little late in the season, but I say lets do it. The week the is scheduled to happen no one shows up. Another week goes by, no contact from them. I finally cancel after 2 weeks. One of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had. I wont be using Terra in the future.

Melissa, our Terra representative, is a delightful young lady and whenever she appears at my property the work she performs is always of the highest nature. She amazes me with her knowledge of domestic cultivation (not just lawns) and much have I learned from listening to her and following her advice. But of course you know all this and you must be very proud to have such a knowledgeable and professional expert working for Terra.

Heres my end of season review for Terra lawn Care... I am extremely satisfied with my results! Not only am I satisfied with my lawn looking great but I dont have the Japanese beetles that Ive had from years prior! Theyre knowledgeable, friendly and efficient!

Prior to using Terra our lawn was in very bad shape. New sod that we had installed was dying, and the rest of the lawn had lots of bare patches and weeds growing in it. After one year of treatments Terra has our lawn looking great! There are still a couple of areas that will need some attention in the spring, but the grass is looking greener and fuller, and the weeds are nowhere to be found. I would highly recommend Terra for their quality service at an affordable price.

We suddenly, abruptly and without notice lost our landscape service of 14 years. We contacted Terra, and within 24 hours they arrived and cut our lawn which h was almost one week over due. They did a fantastic job. Terra also does our business account--and does a great job there as well.

Contacted Terra for help with landscaping after having construction on our house. The back yard and much beds were a mess. Fred planned everything, and the yard now looks amazing. Melissa, the lawn care technician who services our house is always professional. I have used Terra for spring mulching and cleanup. The beds and mulch look great when done. I plan on using them again this year for all my lawn care needs.

We had 12 blue spruce trees put in today - and they did a great job! The trees were a little delayed due to reasons out of their control... but the job they did today was well worth the wait. We will definitely use Terra again!

Ive been using Terra Landscaping for the past year or so. I have used them for the lawn care and mulching for the spring. They perform the quote over the phone by utilizing google maps, or something similar. If you do not have a wooded area, then you should have no issues, but if you have a wooded area like mine then it gets quite confusing for what they are measuring and quoting. I have had quite some difficulties in getting what I needed quoted and treated properly multiple times. As for the mulching, you just have to be careful on what you ask to be done there. If you request X yards of mulch, it seems like they will mulch at whatever you tell them at their desired mulching thickness and then bill you after the fact so you will have to be careful there as well. They did realize the mistake and refund most of it back. Overall, the services are comparable to other landscaping services, they do good quality work but just lack a bit on the sales, communications, and billing sides of things in which is why I feel 3 stars is a fair rating.

Had Terra come over and spring clean my property. They mulched, pruned bushes, edged, cleaned multiple rock gardens etc. Good group of guys. Polite, courteous, had good ideas, and certainly worked hard. The place looks awesome.

They are a cheap penny pinching company, many better options in the area.....very unprofessional.....look elsewhere..

We found Terra on google and reached out to them for shrubbery removal. The shrub was very close to the utility lines. Fred, Joe & Kristin in the office were awesome. They listened and understood what we wanted. Very easy to reach and get in touch with. Paul and his crew showed up and 1/2 hour later the shrub was removed, decorative stones and statutes put in its place. Will definitely call again and recommend. Thanks so much! Terras fertilizing program is really great - more treatments than their competitors and all at a very reasonable price! Its cheaper to pay Terra to do it than to try to buy all the feed and fertilizer ourselves. Our neighbors have indicated lawn envy and our family nicknamed our home the Emerald Isle.

I called for an estimate to have new landscaping beds installed around my home. The owner- Fred came to my home and gave me an estimate, explained the process. He listened to what I needed to have done and gave me feedback and suggestions. Before starting work Terra texted me a picture to verify The work to be performed. The Terra crew came out ahead of schedule and completed the work to perfection. Terra also has a great lawn maintenance program that has my grass golf course quality. I am happy I chose Terra.

I will try to make a long story short. I called two times to have my lawn redone. The first time i called in June which was to early. I got 2 very different prices check time for the same work. They dont come out to give a estimate it was only over the phone. I scheduling person messed up the price before service. Thankfully I had the original email with the price. The day of the service came, i took off work. No one ever showed up. I had to call every ext at the company to talk to someone because they never seem to be in the office on Fridays. So we rescheduled because there machine broke but no one told there customers. They rescheduled me for the next Friday. Seriously! Because of there mess up they wanted me to wait another week for service. I canceled the service and went with Lawn Doctor. Its was half the price anyway and the showed up on time.

Terra Landscaping has been taking care of our outside landscape design and maintenance for more than 5 years! From the beginning, they have done an excellent job. Their employees are courteous, professional, and care about the customer. The job is completed on time and on budget. In addition, Terra will go out of their way to satisfy the customer. Last month we had a special event at the dealership and Terra provided landscaping service on a Sunday just to fit us in. That is what I call customer service!! I have used Terra since moving into our new home a few years ago. They have done some great landscaping work including mulch, pruning, tree removal, stonework, and landscape installation. They show up when they say they will be there and Im not left waiting hours for their crew to arrive. Their employees are always very professional and clean and take pride that the job was done to my satisfaction. Even with many, many yards of mulch delivered, my husband came home from work and could not believe how clean the driveway was since other landscapers have left our property a wreck after they have done their work.
