We purchased our home in December of 2023. It is clear that the lawn was not well maintained. Two urgent care visits for poison ivy clean up... After having Naturescape treat our lawn for the 2024 season. We are astounded at the results! I highly recommend Naturescape, what wonderful results!!
Have to call every month to get a respray for weeds. This company promises they'll come out for a redo but waits till the next scheduled spray. They wait till after the first frost to come out to aerated your property. They charge you for "X" Sq ft yet they don't spray the exposed footage. They came out for my 3rd of 5 scheduled sprays and burnt the crap out of my grass. When I complained, they came out & said my grass looked great & it will come back with watering. Will not continue paying this company for crappy service.
Naturescape has serviced my home for many years. I have had them do several different types of service to my lawn and the landscaping. The service techs are always professional and do a good job. They are fair on pricing as well. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on everything they do. If you are not happy, they will do it again or fix the issue for free. Have been using this service for a few years and they have always been responsive if contacting them with questions or concerns. They have done a pretty good job overall. However, the most recent employee, Donna, who provided our service, was exceptional! She was very aware of the many plants in the yard and explained she would do her best not to have any contact with the plants. She is also the first employee who actually treated the lawn outside our fence, understanding that was also needing treatment. Thanks so much Donna!
Update: After I posted my review that's below, they reached out to apologize. They acknowledged their service failures and vowed to improve their service. I appreciated the fact that they were responsible to my concerns. I edited to 4 stars and will give them another shot this year. I will report back at the end of the year... I've used this company for the last 4 years. I had been initially pleased, but over the last several years the quality of their service and attention to detail has went downhill. My yard had more weeds last year than in the last 10 years and to cap it off, they applied grub preventative at the end of October. This service needed to be done in late July, August, or early September, not at the end of October. I called them several times and told them that I wasn't satisfied with this service, but they just ignore my calls and continue to send me a bill for that service. I've recently reached out to their corporate office and I'm awaiting their response. I will not pay for grub prevention that wasn't applied properly. I've asked them to call me back and explain what happened, but haven't received any calls and it's been several months.
They fried our lawn. Their instructions are to water daily for an hour (to dilute the excessive amount of dry chemicals they put down in the middle of July) and that they'll reseed for "free" in the fall. No thatching, no refund for the prepaid treatments, no reimbursement for the water, or the lime for our yard. 100% would not recommend.
Excellent customer service from day one. Ashley is awesome and answers all of my questions. Our yard looks great !! Highly recommend Naturescape if you are looking for Lawn care service. Update #2 Natursecape worked hard to put their guarantee to work. I was in touch with the corporate office and the Local Des Moines Office. Looking forward to see how the outcome with the yard next spring. Update. I wish I could change my five star review to ZERO Stars. I am still waiting to hear from management from a meeting we had at my property last fall. The last few years have been awful. My yard looks horrible, and had weeds everywhere. I have been through 3 regional managers, and 4 local store managers over the years. And they never follow up or they quit, and do not pass on my info to the next. I am always the one that has to call them. They say "Satisfaction Completely guaranteed" Not even close, the only guarantee they offer is no follow up after discussing any concerns. They did offer the five yard applications at no charge from the 2nd Regional manager. But it did not help the yard at all. I finally switched over to Perficut for future services. I would recommend them.

The weeds are out of control . I have always done it myself and never had weeds. After complaining they finally came out 3 days ago, the weeds aren t even drooping heading to Earl May now to do it myself. I prepaid, it was cheap you get what you pay for. Days later after they sprayed for mosquitoes and then weeds now all of my shrubs are dying somehow whatever they sprayed got on all of my shrubs. Everything is wilting except for the weeds.

If you like a yard full of weeds, have Naturescape do your lawn. My yard looks horrible and the kids doing the lawn are not trained very well. You can complain all you want, but the lady on the phone is like sorry bout that. That does not fix a yard. Just look for the pics of the yard with the dandelions everywhere.
Mowing service not dependable. They mowed my lawn three weeks straight no issues. Then on the third week, no show. When they finally came on the forth week the guy did a quick mow, mind you my grass was very long, then jump in his truck and left. No trimming no blowing. I called to voice disgust, and was given the run around. Now this week no call no show so I call them today 3 times, on the hour just to get a call back from supposedly a regional manager to say they would be here next week. Right! Ive cancelled my service for mowing and the treatment package I bought at the beginning of the season. Currently waiting for refund. Would not recommend as very wishy washy, lousy service and terrible customer support.

It is hard to give a rating for a service that never happened, so I am rating on the issues Naturescape has in committing and actually performing a service as promised. I first requested a service online on Sep. 11. I didnt receive a reply so I called a few days later to see if my request was received. I was told I would have the service in the next week. Great! Two weeks go by and nothing. I emailed and did not receive a response. A few days later I called and was assured the service would be performed the following week. It was not and I emailed the corporate office who sent me back to the local one. After communicating with them I was told they could get me in the next week. I informed that I would be out of town so would have to be the next. They promised I would have the service on Tuesday or Wednesday. it is Thursday night and six weeks have gone by now. I am over it and will never try to use Naturescape again.
Never showed up on the day scheduled. They would miss complete strips of grass. They discontinued their snow removal service without notifying any other customers, leaving them to scramble at last minute. I regret ever hiring this company.
My grandmother has a difficult time shoveling her driveway and it s quite frankly become almost impossible for her. She has had horrible luck finding someone who is reliable to do her snow removal. She woke up today so happy she was in tears to see her driveway not only cleared, but salt put down and they did her walk ways and everything. It s the little things like this that make a huge difference to someone like her. She was paying for services that were not so great over the past few years, sometimes would take three days to come clear her driveway/walkways and it was so difficult for her to let her dog out etc. It s nice to know they came so promptly and it s a price she can afford. I live out of state now and can t come shovel for her anymore. I just want to say thank you, I appreciate you and your attention to detail. Thank you so much.

I have been with Chris of Naturescape for 4 years -- they are so concerned about their customers, and for me being a senior and I can put my mind to rest that they are taking care of things very thoroughly and if I call with a question they are right their on the phone or come out personally and talk to me. Being a senior and used to the old days of dealing with professionalism, it is so comforting to see that in this Company. It is very rare it seems anymore to find people who really care about what they do. Ashley, the receptionist is such a personable, responsible and efficient person, I would like to meet her one day in person, but she can make you feel so relaxed taking care of whatever concern you are calling about. Chris, was such a comfort in coming in person to discuss some things and they have done a perfectionist job ... I am so grateful for this company here in Des Moines. I am so thankful that I signed up with them when they started here in Des Moines. Also my trees and shrubs are the best they have ever been and growing like weeds. Great I have bought products from dog food to crickets for a bearded dragon. The service is great and we have even used the puppy play time to socialize the puppy. Groomers have been awesome and with the new vital care plan for 19.99 which includes unlimited nail trimming and teeth brushing is well worth the deal. I love this place.

After unsuccessfully having tried 6 other lawn companies that guaranteed we would have a healthy, weed free lawn we had almost given up hope. Then we found Naturescapes. Finally a company that delivered what they promised. We have been with them for the past 5 years and our lawn has never looked better. They have done more than keep our lawn green, weed and grub free, they have saved our bushes and trees. We highly recommend them! Whatever your lawn needs are Chris and his team deliver what they promise and do so at a price far under other competitors or what it would cost you to do it yourself.
Everything was great except for the actual cutting of the grass. I called to do a one-time lawn mowing service. The secretary was very nice and helpful. They were able to come out with two business days to cut my lawn. The issue arises with the actual cut of the lawn. My neighbor mowed his lawn two days prior to mine and after the guy was done mowing, my lawn was still significantly longer than his. Within 1-2 days of the cut, my grass looked like it hadn t been cut in a week. There were pieces of grass that had been pushed down by their mower and popped back up a day later, looking as if pieces were missed. It was def not worth $55. I really hated to leave a bad review because they were so nice and quick to respond, but really disappointed in the actual cutting of the grass. UPDATE: The corporate office of this company contacted me via phone to make it right. He basically explained to me that one time services through this company only go over the lawn once and that means it may not be as great as going over it twice (which they offer if you pay more or pay for their reoccurring service). I was never given the option to pay more and didnt know this was even a thing-- they said they would address this going forward by explaining this option to customers. They offered to have someone come by for a complimentary lawn mowing today, which ended up being only for my backyard since by husband mowed the front yesterday. So I guess, depending on how short and neat you want your grass, make sure to ask for the option to pay an extra $5 on top of the $55 one time service or opt for the reoccurring service that comes every 6-10 days for $49 each cut.
