Allison Landscaping and Water Gardens in Cincinnati

About a month ago, I needed some help with upon and John from Allison landscaping gave me some great advice and also help me with a problem I was having. John was very knowledgeable ,customer service friendly, and went above and beyond to help me.

Our landscape looks fabulous! Jourdan and the crew did a fine job.

Jourdan and his crew are the best. Jourdan was extremely skillful in converting our general ideas of what we wanted in our landscape makeover into a terrific design. The installation crew were amazing. They were extremely efficient in both the removal of the old landscaping and the installation of the new. NO MESS!! Jourdan came by the next morning to install the water bag for the new tree and to explain its use. He also took the time to demonstrate how to water the various plants as well as leaving a printed guideline for caring for our new landscaping. Terrific job on all counts. Jim Devine

The crew did a very good job in prep, installation and clean up.

Our yard was a mess (front needed pinned up, dont ask!), muddy and all my work destroyed. I left for work one morning when the Allison crew showed up. When I got home, my whole front yard was transformed! The landscape architect sent out by Allison did a fine job on the plans--he seemed to know I am more of a plain than fancy person. He chose plants and landscaping that was not overwhelming yet durable. It looks even better in than it did in the plans! He was very sensitive to ask us about our price range and chose plants accordingly, not trying to uptalk us. The plants chosen were healthy and are doing well. The turf they put in matches the rest of my yard beautifully. Im looking forward to low maintenance yet beautiful front yard. We were given very good instructions on how to maintain the next few weeks and months. Thank you, all you hard workers at Allison!

They were not only patient with me as we talked through each component of the installation (sometimes multiple times), but also worked efficiently and expediently to get the job done. Since Covid it has been difficult finding companies that are reliable and transparent about the timeline of work and we have had our fare share of nightmare projects. The Allison landscaping pond expert John designed and installed our beautiful koi pond after a tree fell on our old pond. John has recently cleaned our pond and it went from cruddy and algae filled to crystal clean. Our koi seem very happy with the results. I highly recommend.

Tried to order services to plant a memorial tree at our church. Called spoke with someone ,who told me they would have the person who was in charge of this call me back. It took 3 of this kind of call to get one response. Then when it was time to place the order, again the calls and messages to reach someone to complete the transaction never responded .

I was there making a delivery and have been there before, and as always great people making sure you got what you were looking for. Keep up the good work

I continue to reach out to Allison for various landscaping projects. Jourdan is always a pleasure to work with when planning out any work and the crews are always professional and friendly. The crew did an efficient and thorough job.

We called on Allison s Landscaping to install a seat wall, bring the yard up to level, and install a planting area along the front sidewalk of our home. Their work completely changed the look of our front yard adding great curb appeal and improving the overall appearance of our home. The pricing was great and the work was done quickly. Jourdan was easy to work with through the quoting and materials selection process, and the installation team was just as great. The Allison crew installed the decorative low wall, planted everything, and brought a neglected weeping cherry back to full beauty. This company mows the new Lick Run Greenway. Over the summer there have several instances of the crew mowing over litter, chopping it up and leaving it or blowing it to neighboring properties. Not to mention, they never mow the entire park and always leave strips untamed. Clearly a waste of city money and nuisance for those trying to clean up this corridor. After two calls to the company - no resolution. They should be ashamed to leave a public park in the condition they do.

Have always been great and prices are fair also.

Allisons is usually cheaper on mulch, dirt, ect. Per Scoop than most other landscaping places around.

Driver backed up and dumped mulch bags in driveway! I asked why? He said that is boss told him to do. I will never be a customer of them ever again.

Expensive

Don t waste time or money here. Called for estimate to landscape a very small area. Found out they simply did not want to do the work. I gave them a second chance to do business after buying evergreens that quickly died.

Not enough money in it for them to even be bothered helping with the job.

Put a patio in. Not level. Steps had chips in pavers. Told me that is what is done now. Wouldn t replace. Wish I would have went with someone else. Hurts me to look at my patio.

Im glad I live in Delhi so the drive to Allison wasnt too far. A quick google search of pond supplies will bring up Allison as a suggestion - however their pond supply selection is painfully small. I would have been super upset if I drove from somewhere further away. I know covid has made the supply chain somewhat whack, but maybe put some kind of message on your website to let potential customers know the selection is extremely limited. No plants, no fish, a few pumps and chemicals. Maybe we will come back next spring but I kind of doubt it.

Absolutely the best landscaping service and products on the West side of Cincinnati! Weve been happy customers since 2010 and will continue calling upon Allison Landscaping for all of our landscaping needs!

They charge for an estimate of services? Ill pass and use of the other 50 landscapers that will tell me what a job costs without charging me for the privilege.

I first called Allison on July 14 for a quote and was told someone would call me the next day. No one did. I called again on July 20 and was told someone would maybe call back either that day, or tomorrow at the latest. Its now Aug. 1. No calls. I only deal with professionals.

Kinda high prices. Not very good customer service. However if you know what you want and are willing to pay a little extra you should be in and out.

The scoops of mulch were small and the mulch had a LOT of various 2in rock through it, other than that they were friendly and an over all nice place

Im new to gardening this year and stopped by Allisons to get some plants and, more importantly, some advice. The man that helped me was AMAZING. He answered so many questions and when I showed him the (poorly measured) map of my garden that I had drawn, he was able to help me choose pollinator attractive shrubs and gave me tons of ideas. He was SO knowledgeable, spouting off scientific names and ideal growing conditions and bits of advice. Everybody was very nice and every shrub and tree I got from them are thriving in my garden and I will be a customer of Allisons for life. I recommend them to anyone who has ideas for their yard and garden that they want to see come to life!

Todd greeted me immediately upon arrival and he was very helpful and receptive to my questions. It was clear that he has lots of experience, and he had others with more experience to ask if he was unsure of something. In addition, he was able to show me examples of everything I was looking for and he gave me great care tips. The prices were high, but the service is great!
