I've hired a few landscape companies in my life but, I have to honestly say Blackburn Lawn and Landscape is the first company I've had that from day one has been completely professional, considerate and understanding! They crew are very friendly and professional as well! I highly recommend Blackburn Lawn and Landscape! Great work all! Keep up good work.
Woken up every morning this week between 3 and 5 am bc we can't be even the tiniest bit considerate and have a need to run snowblowers ALL NIGHT. I especially love that I dont use them but my idiot neighbors do so everyone has to suffer
I have been using Blackburn Lawn and Landscape for years and not only have they done an excellent job on my lawn, but an exemplary job for my driveway snow removal service. Recently, Blackburn L&L replaced my old mailbox post & mailbox. Blackburn is the highest quality around with a fair price to go along with it. Take a look at the lawns they manage and you’ll see the difference instantly. Stripes are crisp, the crew is top notch. Great for snow removal as well, with excellent communication during the winter. Will continue to do business with and recommend Blackburn to others.
Blackburn has been such a great snow clearing service for us. We love the tractors that blow snow so efficiently with no mess in our yard! They have great customer service and clear communication as well. We generally get an email in regards to each storm as to when to expect them. They come around and do maintenance on the driveway stick placement, straightening them every time one of us knocks them sideways. Even the care that they show in coming by to check on the appearance of their marker placements has been impressive. (There's one that we routinely knock over because of the strange way we have to come out of the garage and they are always fixing it. Every time I turn around it's straight again. I finally caught them straigtening it the other day.) Our yard is never torn up anymore like we used to have with the truck plows. No more mud on the corners of my yard and needing to plant grass seed every spring because there is literally no damage anymore. Also, it's fun to watch their little tractors make such quick and easy work of clearing our driveway. Thanks Blackburn, and keep up the great work!
I have not hired Blackburn (yet) for snow removal, as I generally enjoy shoveling; with the exception of a couple times, like when there were a couple of feet of snow in the driveway and the wind chills were well into the negative 20’s, and tonight when my sciatica is on a rampage, I have a couple freshly broken ribs, and the snow weighs more than I do. Blackburn happened to be driving by servicing my neighbors on both occasions. I won’t go into detail, but both times they went out of their way to help me out when I didn’t even ask for it. I can’t thank them enough! I have only paid for professional snow removal once in the past, (when I was pregnant and definitely couldn’t do it myself) with a different local company and they were at best mediocre. Sometimes they’d show up, sometimes they wouldn’t, and say that they did. Blackburn is not that company. They are the epitome of a small, local business. Neighbors supporting neighbors. If I ever hire for snow removal again, it will 100% be with this company.
We chose Blackburn LL for a major project in our backyard that included removing our old wooden deck and installing a 14x17 paver patio. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Jim Blackburn worked with us to design the patio that we wanted and was on site everyday to supervise the project. All members of the crew were friendly and professional. We were impressed at how much attention was paid to details throughout the project. Communication was also exceptional and we were kept informed about the process of the project and any of our concerns were addressed. We recommend them without hesitation, you won’t be sorry!
Terrific service! This was the first year we sought professional snow removal for our residence. Blackburn's fee was very fair and worth every penny! They did a great job, showed up early in the morning (well before we needed to get out on the road) and on heavy snow days came by 2-3 times as needed. The gentleman who plowed our driveway was friendly when we saw him and patient if our dog was outside enjoying the snow, giving us time to get him inside and out of the way. Really pleased with their service and will definitely be on their roster for next winter and will be seeking their services for our landscape needs. Highly recommend them!

Used them for our lawn service. Love that they bag the clippings so the dog doesn t track them into the house. Had slight damage done to my mailbox and when they couldn t get a replacement part they immediately replaced the entire unit. Exceptional customer service! Highly recommend.
They standby their work. I had an issue at my mothers property and the owner made it right. Thats a class act.
We hired Blackburn to do a substantial overhaul of our landscaping. They removed all of our old landscaping and walkway. They built a new walkway, planted new plants, and put new stone down. They also installed two drains for us. Their work is fantastic and their crew is friendly. Their prices were beyond competitive. I highly recommend their services!

They do not return calls. Three times Ive called & left a voicemail & have not heard back from them.
We signed up for our first snow removal service this year having no expectation other than make the snow go away. Far exceeded!!! I don t check my window when I get up but I do check my email. And there at 6:26am this morning is a recap of how much snow we have and dispatch details of their crews. I m in love with Blackburn. Only forecast I m trusting from now on!! We also signed up on the first major snowfall of the year. I wasn t expecting them to get to us that day and they did shortly after I called.
Very happy with the service we received from Blackburn L&L this winter for our snow removal. The driveway was completed even before I had a chance to wonder if it needed to be done! Love that with heavy snowfalls they come back after the street plows to make sure the end of the driveway is clear. The email and Facebook updates are a great addition to the service too!
Great service this winter with snow clearing. Kept me in the loop when there service was coming and came back as many times as needed. Will definitely use Blackburn again.
Nate was easy to work with and efficient. We had a French drain installed and we are very happy with the results. He completed the installation in less than 2 days - the only reason there was a second day was because it started to rain heavily the first and our yard was already water logged, hence the French drain. Prices are reasonable and amazing work.

Jim and his personnel were always quick to respond to emails or phone calls. His tractor/snowblower driveway clearing was always on-time with getting the job done even when conditions were difficult to contend with. I will definitely have Jim and his crew next winter season and recommend anyone needing lawn & landscape services to give them a call.
I cannot say enough about how professional these guys are. They take pride in their work and are extremely careful. We have never had any complaints with their work or their work ethic. I would highly recommend them.
If you live in Cicero, NY and want a reliable snow removal service, Blackburn is top of the line. We contracted with them for the 2017-18 winter season and were thoroughly delighted. The driveway was ALWAYS cleared BEFORE it was time to leave for work. Jim and his crew returned as many times as necessary throughout the day to keep ahead of the snows during heavy lake effect events. One day, in particular, I know the driveway was cleared four times. (I can recall a plowing service that refused more than once in the past.) Throughout the season, they kept me informed of planned operations via email. Jim and Rich, his Operations Manager, are strong communicators. They deserve much praise for that aspect of the service. Now it is Spring (supposedly) and I do not face the task of replacing sod and shoveling dirt to fill in the divots from a conventional plow. My only regret is that I waited three or four years to work with Blackburn. I will certainly have them back next season.
