Terrible company. Their number is always disconnected and they dont respond to emails or Facebook. Its been 5 days and they still didnt ship my item so I am good now, no need for it anymore but there is no way to contact them . All I want to say it dont bother shipping anymore and just cancel the order!! I will be contacting my bank to put charge back on this

Ordered a handle from them on 4/24/24 .5/2/24 still not delivered first response was deliveries are running behind, then today they said it was delivered 3 days ago .well which one is it? I meant to leave this review a long time ago because they deserve it. I just had my Stihl gas blower that I havent used in over 8 years serviced by them. I didnt think they could get it working but they did. The best part is they only charged me a fee equal to a song and a dance and I was delighted. I always come here to service my snow blower. These guys are not only honest but are very fairly priced.

They helped me with a part for my snowblower. I called around and no one had the specific part. Steve suggested bringing the part in and looking for a substitute. It was a great idea because he had something that was very close to the original part and it works perfectly. He was very helpful!

I came in to have my lawn mower blades sharpened for the start of Spring. The price was great. The service was Excellent. The blades were sharpened as soon as I came in. Ace Hardware would take 2 weeks. Chicago Lawn Mower will replace my neighborhood Ace Hardware. Tons cheaper than Ace hardware. Chicago Lawn Mower is the place!!! Great service, price you cannot beat anywhere. Worth the 20 minute drive. Blades look nice and sharp!!

I had been looking on line for a trimmer spool for my old 1989 electric Toro 1010 string trimmer to no avail not thinking that I would find one in-store as the model is 34 years old. I called Chicago Lawn Mower and they actually had one available for me in stock. I went in the next day to pick it up. I was very happy that they had one. The staff was super nice and I have used them before to have my Toro snow blower serviced which they did a great job and it has started every year since without problems. Im happy Im able to support a locally owned company!

I had my lawnmower serviced by Chicago Lawn Mower right before the start of the pandemic and placed it in storage immediately thereafter where it had stayed up until I pulled it out a couple of weeks ago to give it away to a friend who had just purchased her first home. After various failed attempts to turn it on, I took the mower back and explained to them that I had not used it since it was last serviced (so everything was essentially in great shape). They offered to take a quick look at it and were able to turn it on relatively easily (old gas) free of charge. I cant recommend them enough!

Excellent service! Parts guy new his business & politely ans a few questions. I ordered part online. Correct part arrived in 2 1/2 days, USPS priority mail, (toro transmission.) I installed it, and its working fine. Problem solved! Price a whole lot cheaper to boot! OEM part a perfect match, for Timemaster 30 inch. A throw back to when this type of service was normal!

Spoke with Steve and he had the guy (sorry didnt get his name) take a look at my lawnmower right away. It was fixed in ten minutes (needed a new blade) not only did he put the new blade he also cleaned off the lawnmower (looked brand new) besides the great service when I went to pay I couldnt believe how reasonable the price is. I bought a lawn mower from a big retailer and it broke after about 6 weeks due to me running over something metal. The retailer deemed it not fixable. I took it to Steve at Chicago Lawn Mower and he fixed it in one day. He saved me from having to buy a brand new lawn mower. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to try to fix it. This is the second time that I have done business with Chicago Lawn Mower. After talking with my wife we decided to go green and get rid of our gas lawn mower and go battery. We took our old mower and snowblower in. Steve our salesman took our old units and sold us a Ryobi snowblower. Overall it was a pleasure dealing with Steve and Chicago Lawn Mower.

Not very good customer service. Ordered a bag and frame for my HRB series Honda mower and the wrong frame came with a popped tac weld. I contacted them on ebay with hopes theyd remedy the situation but recieved no reply. Once I found their contact on Google I called only to get hung up on. I was kind and just wanted the correct part that I ordered but they seemed unwilling to help. Once I called back they said they dont take orders on the phone and hung up again. I dont know how they have all these good reviews! Maybe someone there will see this and care enough to remedy the situation. Currently they are asking ebay to review my return and claiming fraud! Buyer returned a catcher, that was a completely different frame but the correct bag... The frame returned was also broken. Return fraud. I returned it because they sent me the wrong frame that was also broken!

Mower magicians. Thats what this business is. They know what theyre doing. They cut through the noise and get to the bottom of things. I bought a refurbished mower from them for a great price in summer 2023. A few months later, something went wrong. I took it in, and instead of just putting new gas in it and telling me it was my fault, they went the extra yard to find out there was another problem. And if you want to really know how good these guys are... note how many packages they are sending out to businesses and customers out-of-state. Buy from here and get repaired here. They earned my loyalty already.

What a Day... Been trying to get my Snowblower to start, and with this storm coming I just did not want to break my back and shovel all the Heavy Snow that will come. So I took it to Chicago Lawn Mower and Snowblower to see what can be done. So Steve DePaepe the owner talked to me and heard my problem, and he had one of his best fixer Mike Dawson check it out. Helped me get get it out of my truck, and withing 10 minutes he had my problem fixed and ready to go. Than Angel showed me what should be done before starting and recommended certain gas to keep it running. The bill was not what other places wanted to charge me. I liked the atmosphere of a Mom and Pop business that I will be back if a problem arises and if it does I will be looking to buy a new one I will be buying from them. They had a ton of blowers getting fixed and ones for sale Great help! Highly recommended !

Great Service. Drove from Riverside on Saturday morning because snowblower needed a new belt. Told the guys I didn t need it until Wednesday but they said give us a half hour to open it up and check it out. They called me 20 minutes later and said it needed a new belt and was ready for pick up. This place is the BEST!

I went into the shop on 1/31/22. I told the shop owner that I had run over some of my neighbors vines while clearing her sidewalk and the snowblower stopped dead. I told the shop owner that I had cleared the vines from the snowblower blades but the pull start would not move. I told the shop owner that I believed that the lawn debris was sucked up into the inner parts of the snow blower. The shop owner listened to me, pulled the start once and turned the snowblower on its side. A few moments later he found a landscaping stone that had been lodged in the blades hidden from my view. He then gave me both the rock and my snowblower back telling me it was fixed. He refused to take any money for his time. I took the snowblower home and it started immediately. I am very grateful as a major snowstorm is predicted for this area. What I am most grateful for is the shop owners honesty. The shop owner knew that I believed the landscape debris was sucked into the machine. He could have kept my snowblower for a few days, made up some repair and charged me a fee. I never would have known. The shop owner didnt do that. He was honest, fixed my snow blowers problem and refused any payment. I would highly recommend this business.

The clutch cable broke on my Toro 721e snowblower. I spoke to Steve at 9:am to inquire about needed parts. While talking with Steve, he mentioned that I should also replace a plastic guide clip that now is made of metal. I came in at 11:am and within 15 minutes the snowblower was back in working order. Thanks so much to Steve and the young repairman. Not only repaired but helped me load the snowblower back in the car. Great service and pricing. I will definitely continue as a customer.

They have good prices and wont try to sell you more than you need. Just recently I bought a new snow blower but managed to lose a knob handle the first time I used it (I failed to tighten it). Went to Chicago Lawn Mower for the first time ever for a snow blower tire repair and spoke with Steve. Not only was the tire fixed in about 10 min, but the cost was actually cheaper than the quote over the phone. Nice! So now that one snow blower was fixed, I asked if they would be interested in buying an older, used snowblower I had. Steve told me to bring it by so I did. He went over the snowblower and showed me things that needed replacing (which were obvious after he pointed them out) and we agreed on a price which again was better than I anticipated. Nice again! In all honesty, this is my first Google Review, EVER. I Just got off the phone with Steve, the owner. I wished I would have started with him weeks ago as I researched a (hard to find) replacement short block for my 2004 Toro Power Max snow blower. It would have saved me a ton work. As it were, on my own, I ordered the wrong short block. I called the Chicago Lawn Mower and Steve set me straight on the correct short block I needed. He gave me the exact product number I needed and I plan on placing an order for that soon. He said just send the other one back and they will issue me a credit. An awesome and personable experience. A great family owned business. My lawnmower was not running right they cleared out a clog on my fuel line and gave my lawnmower the once over with a full tune up. I wish I knew about them sooner and I would have saved a lot of money when my last mower broke down and I opted to by a replacement.

Frustratingly impossible to get a hold of. Buy parts here only if you are willing to accept its a one way channel. Ordered parts from these folks and realized I had the wrong part. Their site says to contact them for a RMA, however they dont answer their emails, they dont pick up the phone and they dont respond to communication sent in through their website. So that leaves one with little choice than to raise a flag. Prompt delivery on parts so you get the second star. You loose 3 for poor post-sale support.

When I decided which snowblower i wanted, they again explained the proper way to use until I fully understood. When I was checking out, I explained to the owner Steve, that I would have to come back at a later date to pick up my new shiny red machine because I don t own a vehicle to transport it back to my home. I need to find a friend or rent a pickup to transport. Steve asked how far away do I live? This was my first time at this shop and upon walking into location i was met with a hello, can I help you always a GREAT sign. I proceeded to let the young lady know that I was looking for a snow blower on this 80 degree day. She directed me to Steve. Steve was a very personable man and we immediately struck up a conversation. Steve also showed me their prices compared to Home Depot. When i walked into this place i was basically trying to do my research because a friend referred me to this location. After speaking with Steve I was sold and it wasn t because of any pressured sales tactics. Simply because what he was telling me I knew was the truth and I am ready to start a relationship with Chicago Lawn Mower Inc.

I went with another member of our 20 unit condo association and took our older very small snowblower in to evaluate repair vs trade-in vs a larger used unit vs a brand new larger unit. Steve and his team spent a lot of time with us: answering our many questions and showing us all the options. They had a great selection - used and new - and gave us the confidence that they really knew their business. In the end, we decided it was best for us to trade-in our current unit for a larger new unit - given our needs and the dynamics of our condo association. However, I would not hesitate to purchase a used unit from them as our neighbors did. In any event, Steve and his team were a breath of fresh air from a typical big box retailer experience. They really seemed to go above and beyond vs other retail options providing assembly, and personal hands-on operating instructions. 1/23/21 Great experience today at Chicago Lawn Mower/Show Blower on W. Montrose. My Toro snow blower wouldnt start. Steve diagnosed my problem: I had not fully emptied out the gas in the spring. This caused the carburetor to malfunction. He explained that its best to run the machine until it stops to make sure the gas tank is completely empty. Good to know. In less than 15 minutes, the snow blower was cleaned, carburetor flushed and some new gas added. Not only does it run beautifully, it looks brand new! I have used this shop several times before, In fact, I exchanged my old snow blower for the one I have now. They sell new and used machines and do the service there as well. What an fabulous crew! I just got back from Chicago Lawn Mower. Local business had drive cable for 10year old snow blower. I walked in a 5 pm (their closing time) and didnt have my model number. Just year and type of blower. Guy said that they will be open til 6pm and that he wouldnt close until I got back. Seemed like a family operation as there were youngsters helping with out going mail orders. They were all helping dozens of folks past quiting time in the middle of a blizzard and crushing beers (it was happy hour) whilst doing it. Awesome. My Toro snowblower sheared off the main drive tooth of its rotor pully yesterday during the huge snowstorm. I disassembled the rotor and brought in the pieces that needed to be replaced today. There was a line of about 6 people when I got there, but they moved through quickly, and got me the rotor, pully, and belt that I needed and I was on my way! When they are busy, they cant answer the phone, but they are open and working during the posted times.

I would give them - starts if I could! I ordered parts form them which I never received. I tried to call them at least 60 times and they never answered the phone. I finally contacted them through Facebook and got the owner to call me, He was very rude and after briefly trying to help me basically told me to go to hell. I wouldnt do business with them again if they were the last 0lace on earth and would advise everyone else to avoid them also.

I had a reconditioned snow blower that I bought there many years ago. The pullcord tore. I bought a reconditioned electric start one from them a couple days ago, and sold them my old one. VERY VERY fair prices, honest, great people. In a major snow as we had, too many people gouge prices, NOT THEM, they are terrific to deal with.

I needed a new scraper blade and possibly a carburetor or fuel filter for my Honda snowblower. I knew they d be busy after this last big snow and kept getting busy signal when I tried calling, so I loaded it in the truck just in case. I told the guy what I thought the problem was, and mentioned that I had it with me. He asked me to see it and he immediately recognized there was a gasket missing from the underside of the gas cap. He had the gas cap and the scraper blade both in stock. It was totally worth the long drive. Thank you Chicago Lawn Mower!!!

Took my dads old craftsman snowblower to the guys at Chicago Lawn Mower on Wednesday afternoon. Spoke with a young gentleman about getting the snowblower looked at. They were pretty busy that day due to the second heaviest snowstorm of the year. Customers were in and out of the place with their snowblowers. The young man recommended what needed to be done. No oversell, no gloom and doom. He did mention that the turnaround time was 4 to 5 days. I hesitantly agreed to the service but in the back of my mind I thought it might take longer and my dad, who isnt as spry as he once was, would be forced to shovel his sidewalk manually. 48 hours later, I got a message that the blower was ready for pickup. Went to their place Saturday morning, picked up the blower and even got a quick tutorial on how to properly start and maintain said blower by the same young man. Great service! Sometimes even when prices are reasonable, businesses gain customers and catapult themselves over the competition simply by customer engagement and going above and beyond. Theyve had the ability to overcharge me on repairs, but have always remained honest. Their customer service is great! Honestly they dont even deserve one star. Avoid this place. I talked to a guy on the phone and he was very nice. When I finally arrived at the store I told them about the broken starter cord. The guy quickly told me it will be $120. I asked him why, he said without looking at the lawn mover that it needs a tune up and started cord. He could have told me the same thing on the phone. Anyway I had him install the start cord and avoided the tune up. I told him the reason why I didnt want to spend $100 is because the lawn mover itself is $200. I paid $20 and the owner (old guy) told me if I am buying a new one he can buy my lawn mover for $15. Imagine I just paid $20 for the cord and he is asking me to sell him for $15. They were able to quickly look into finding diagnosis. Then explained the operating procedure, meaning insure we make sure to put in clean fresh gasoline. Took my ten year craftsman in for a drive handle, they dont carry craftsman parts, joey found a used one from a different machine . could not warranty it , i was gratfull. lasted all summer. it finnaly broke, purchased the correct part and they installed it for me along with a sharpening at a very reasonable price. Brought my leaking snowblower in yesterday. It has had a persistent leak ever since it was returned to me by another guy I paid to give it a tuneup almost 3 years ago. Steve, at Chicago Lawn Mower, shared his thoughts with me where he thought it might be coming from. He had one of his guys remove the panels and tighten a secondary oil cap that s buried in the snowblower. He put it back together, topped it off with oil and didn t charge me a cent. Guess what after 3 years it appears the leak is FINALLY fixed. I will never take my snowblower anywhere else. Top notch guys here.

I am extremely happy with the purchase I made from Chicago Lawnmower on Ebay. The product is an original direct replacement. If you need a Honda 22431-727-003 belt that is actually a Honda 22431-727-003, Chicago Lawnmower is the place to go. They charge a fair price and give you the product you are expecting. Initially, I went to Amazon and purchased the listed item below, which is still listing this on Amazon. Replacement Snowblower Belt for HS35 4328407 Honda 22431-727-003 from a company called Arrrma. The belt fit the spindles, but was very tight and the Auger spun continually without using the Auger clutch to engage. This can be extremely dangerous to the Operator and others. I requested a refund and received it begrudgingly being told there are no returns for the item.

I brought my snow blower to Chicago Lawn Mower & Snowblower on Tuesday, thinking that it will take a week at least to maintain it. To my surprise they called me the very next day. It was ready for pickup.I then brought my lawn mower in and again it was ready the next Day. Steve and all the family members were hard at work when I picked up the lawn mower. Definitely would recommend them and plan on using them in he future.

Another outstanding review for Chicago Lawn Mower. Today my husband tried to start our (OLD) snowblower in anticipation of the storm tomorrow. Sigh, wouldnt start. I immediately called CLM to see if they were open today (12/31) and could help. Steve gave me a few tips to try before we loaded it in to the car. No luck. He said most of his mechanics are gone for the day but to pop on by, open until 3. I ran the machine over and within 15 minutes, they installed a few new parts, cleaned it up, had it running and put it back into my car for me. FOR $40! I was prepared to buy a new machine. Steve smiled and said not yet but keep it in mind for the future. This machine has to be 15-16 years old. I am so grateful. If only ever business operated like this. Thank you for the excellent service.

I went in with a certain budget to buy a snowblower and Steve the owner not only found me a machine more suited to my needs, but I actually spent less for a refurbished walk behind snowblower... I just bought a like new Troy Bilt snow blower from here. Only had been lightly used and I saved easily a couple hundred dollars off a new one. It was my third purchase from here. I had previously purchased a lawnmower and another snow blower. The snow blower I got was too small for my needs so they even let me trade it back in for a credit off my new one. Great small engine shop that isnt all about commercial business. One of the few old school small engine shops where you can purchase reconditioned parts or reconditioned mowers and snowblowers . I appreciate the build quality and reliability of older machines and so does this shop.
