Lawngevity Landscape & Garden Gate Nursery in Chester

They planted a tree I bought from them. It died in 6 months. The trunk split from top to bottom. I complained several times. They never looked or called back. They are not reputable. Stay away.

They’ve done work for my wife and I on multiple areas of our house. Everything has come out great and they are very professional. Couldn’t ask for more.

I recently put in my second stamped concrete patio using Lawngevity. I used them to put in a patio at my former residence so I knew they were great at what they do. From our first meeting to the finished product Paul and his team were extremely professional timely, and communicated with us when and how things would get done. The Lawngevity team is very straight forward and easy to deal with, they don't try and upcharge you on extra's. I trust their work and their prices are fair (especially for the quality of work they do). Looking forward to enjoying our patio for many years to come, Joe S

Stay away from this place - these are my trees planted by "Professionals" one month after, even after daily watering and heavy rainfalls this is how they ended up looking like. An actual professional confirmed that no proper soil was used during planting. This company just made the hole, installed the tree and moved on. After contacting them repeatedly for over 3 months and being passed from one person to the other, they never care to return any of my calls or answered any of my emails. They never honored the 6 months guarantee either. Additionally in order for them to come and do the work for which I paid over $1000 dollars, I had to constantly call them to get them to come. When I mentioned that I would cancel my purchase and asked for a refund, the workers appeared the following day just like magic. Don't buy from this place, unless you want to be disappointed.

The quality and prices of the plants here are excellent. They always come back. The people who work here are so very knowledgeable and helpful. They recommend the Familyprrfect plants that I won't kill. Lol. Also they have a great ice cream stand right on site. Our family loves this place.

This is the place in town to get your trees and plants. Not only is this place affordable but the customer service is great, I couldn’t be happier. They have a wide range of flowers and trees to pick from, even grafted fruit trees for the summer and christmas trees for the holiday! I highly recommend them for stamp concrete and any landscape work you need done, they are prompt, knowledgeable and professional. They also have an ice cream shop that has a variety of flavors- perfect to walk around and enjoy while checking out their nursery. Love this place!

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We have been customers for 10 years and have probably spent $30,000 over that time. The last project we did was to purchase twelve pine and spruce trees for our back yard. The prices were fair and we paid full price for the trees (didn't ask for, nor were offered, any sort of bulk discount) and also paid full price for Lawngevity to professionally install them. The trees seemed healthy and fine for a while but then a number of them started to turn brown and eventually died. When we looked at these dead trees, it seemed that they were not planted too deeply and a lot of their root balls were above ground. I notified Lawngevity of this issue to see if they would replace the dead trees. I did not receive a response despite numerous emails and calls. I eventually went into the garden center in Chester to inquire about the situation and was told that I would get a call back from the owner. I have yet to hear back after many months. Not sure what happened to these guys - they were nice and were great to work with and give our business to, but this last situation and complete lack of follow up and customer service has me scratching my head as to why they would want to lose a very good long term customer over a couple of dead trees. I am looking at doing some more work in the back yard and am now shopping around for a new nursery. I hate to give the lowest review score but don't really have any choice. Sorry Lawngevity.
