Went here during their listed business hours, all of the doors were locked. Not going to gamble my time on this place again.

We purchased a hydrangea shrub and a French lilac or deep deep purple as some call it. We waited 3 years to see our tree bloom and guess what it is not the tree I was assured of it being. My hydrangea was not the same as our plant. Not reall sure they know what plant they provide. Very disappointed

Quoted $2800 to weed a small flower bed and new mulch. Ya no thanks!! Can do it myself for less than $500. Should rename to Cash Grabber & Sons.

My old brick patio was in serious need of repair. Grabber & Sons took up the pavers, removed old sand and added new foundation poly sand, then leveled everything and re-laid the pavers. Patio is like new, all is square, level and solid. The site was completely clean when done. Highest recommendation

As a neighbor to one of their customers, this company is very unprofessional and does not care for the property around which they are plowing!! One of their drivers pushed all of the snow onto my front lawn and moved my parking curb. When bringing this to the plow operator s attention he was very rude. The next day I called the business and spoke to the owner who was equally as rude and hung up the phone on me. I would never recommend this company to anyone for anything!!!

i decided to stop in today 3/6/21 about 1 pm or so with my guy ... when we walked we were the only two in the store besides the two lady employees that were standing behind the desk , neither of which acknowledged us , not a hello no nothing . how rude ... but we re like whatever let s still look around , so we are browsing the plants for another 5 to 10 minutes , and still not a word from either employee , no are u finding everything ok ? do u need help ? any questions? NOTHING . just continued to stand there as if we weren t even in the store . after about 10 minutes of being ignored we decided that we were no longer gonna patronize or spend our money with the establishment due to the rudeness of the employees. we walked out the door without either employee saying goodbye, come again , NOTHING !! ...customer service is important!

Well, they wont be doing any landscaping for me. They couldnt even plant a few window boxes, even though I gave them lots of time because I know theyre busy this time of year. Ill be going elsewhere.

Their entire existence is so depressing. Everything overpriced and not well maintained. Why would you pay double the price for some subpar plants? Some young employees seem to have attitude problems, I tried to ask some questions, they gave me bad attitude like I am ruining their party. Wont be back.

We re having a big job done @ our house. We have 4 gardens that are going to be reworked. A total of 9 bushes that are at least 25yrs old being removed. Everything will be replaced w/ new Shrubs & perennials will be installed oh I forgot a sm tree a weeping cherry is going to be removed & the area sodded. I had a price in my head & that s what it s going to be

I did not have a good experience at all. I stopped at the Harlem Rd location 7/12/20. I seen 3 employees within the building. I explained exactly what my project was and what I would need. I explained I was looking for terra Cotta or similar planters 24 diameters for the largest and smaller. I also told one of the girls that I would also need stones for my project. She just vaguely told me some stone is sold in bags and some in bulk and that was it. She pointed me to a building across the parking lot where she said I would find planters and sent me on my way. I went to the other building by myself, there wasnt anyone else there to help me. I couldnt even move the planters myself. I waited about 20 minutes for someone to come and see how I was making out but nobody came. There werent any other customers in the store when I went in there, the girl I spoke with was just washing a window. I was thinking if I cant get them to help sell me pots, I sure wasnt going to get them to help me with the stone which is heavier than the pots. I wont go back.

Large selection and friendly staff. I was looking for ceramic pot for my fig tree and they had a large variety of colorful and differently-sized vessels. They also helped me load my top soil.

I love going to Grabbers! I live in an apartment now so dont have big landscaping needs these days but their plants, pots and gifts are so much fun. I was there yesterday and purchased a few sale items and still got the great valued -customer treatment from the woman who was working the desk. Wish I knew her name!

We had a very large landscaping job done including a big above ground pool removal. I found there are not many landscapers with the ability to do such a large job. From start to finish we found everyone involved to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. Trust me they re not your run of the mill landscapers. If you want it done right call Grabber & Sons.

Really? A huge truck and trailer are going to weave in and out of traffic and cut me/others off??? I see this all the time from this company. A monstrous green truck with a red trailer? You think the driver would be smart and drive safely. Not to mention the people in the back had their feet out the window. So generous with information and assistance. Very relieved to have such friendly and willing expertise available to me from our neighborhood garden center! Rude, ignorant people. I left for work at 4am, 42 insulated Cahart bibs, wool lined Cahart vest, safety vest, hard hat boots , first aid supplies, Cahart coat. 10am 67 knocked over my customers flower pot of past bloomed tulips and felt bad. Owner said dont sweat it. I Said its hot I have to change and grab a coffee. Ill grab a few lettuce and other greens you can eat, Ilol plant them and you can eat salad while you decide what to plant. ......naw you dont have to do that. I said know I dont have to its in the contract, I WANT TO, IT WILL MAKE FEEL HAPPY, and I get my good deed out of the way, thats how Boy Scouts roll, once a Scout ALWAYS a Scout, NY old man taught me that. He said I only made to Star, I said Life here, but my dad, brother, Eagle, other brother Life...we were slackers. But my boy was My Boy Scout Venture Crew Quarter Master and the dude has Down Syndrome and my Little Girl was the V.P. & Pres. Whats Venture Crew. Well its another Branch of Boy Scouts, Like Explorers...Fire, Police, EMTs But we focus on High Adventure, Medicla, Survival, Wilderness training, and LEADERSHIP. It to 21 or College. The young adults are fully in charge of everything. We are not Cub Masters, or Scout Leaders, We are advisors only, some times refs, and always mentors. cool. So I did at Grabbers. Asked permission to change work cloths, sure youre good. I did but all my surgery wounds where uncovered. I thought, who would mind a working dude changing bandages. APPARENTLY GRABBER, THE CALLED THE FLIPPING COPS ON ME.....3. THEY SAID I WAS NOT WELCOME HERE ANYMORE, GO, DONT COME BACK, LIKE I NEEDED A REMINDER.....GOOD LUCK GOING THERE, MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A SHIRT AND TIE, AND NO BANDAIDS ALLOWED. GONNA BUY THEM A SIGN.

These folks are kind, considerate and knowledgable. They treat everyone with dignity and helpfulness is their goal. --you can trust what they tell you and trust what you purchase there.

Each and every year, for well over a decade, I have found items at Grabbers Landscaping that I do not/cannot find elsewhere. Sometimes I m just browsing and come across something I didn t know I needed/wanted but is the PERFECT compliment to my garden! Their lawn ornaments are unique (although there weren t any in the adjacent building this season much to my chagrin). I did find absolutely beautiful, colorful one-of-a-kind, handmade Mexican pots that I could not resist! In addition, there was an antique large treasure chest in display and was not an item tagged for purchase. I have been to many antique and novelty shops in search of an adequate chest such as this. The preservation and quality of this chest was the best I ve seen. I asked if they would be willing to sell it. A couple of calls later...it was mine! I m thrilled with my purchases and the customer service I always receive when shopping here.

Called these Pros with a seriously short notice for a project that had to be done for an event, they came in ahead of time and under budget, great work from Mark and his crew and real easy no pressure sales pitch from Rich. Will definitely use again, sooner rather than later.

I appreciate their help, heres my story: I had been growing and fussing over my Venus flytrap for the past year. Someone knocked the pot over and I lost a lot of the soil, which is a special kind. My plant needed help, STAT! I checked at several nurseries nearer my home in West Seneca to no avail. But the supervisor on duty at Grabbers gave me a couple hands full of the sandy, mossy soil that I needed, along with some expert advice, for free as a courtesy. Its stuff like this that makes Buffalo the City of Good Neighbors!

Over price and rude! Try to use for snow plowing. Keep looking.

Grabber and Sons is fantastic! Last year, they were kind enough to donate some great plant material to Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo. It made such an impact on our community gardens. Thank you!

Purchased an item over the phone, it was delivered damaged and I decided to return the item. They accepted the return and I am now being harassed via text messages by someone claiming to be the owner demanding l come back and pay for the returned item or they will take me to small claims court. Absolute ludicrous! To address the owners claims: The delivery guy dragged the steel edging across the road scratching it, made a comment about the steel being wavy and assured the bends would come out once placed in the ground. This did not happen. I do not drive a Honda Civic and do not make assumptions on my behalf as to why I had it delivered, it had nothing to do with concerns over damaging it or my vehicle size. A worker came out and inspected the steel edging upon return and I was then given my refund. I was responsive to all of your messages just not in the manner you had hoped after threatening me with small claims court. Take it up with your employees that processed the return and stop harassing me. I will be contacting the New York State Attorney General.

Where to begin? This company needs some serious internal work and soul searching (little or no work pride or work ethic). I had a recent telephone encounter with one of its employees. Rudeness, abruptness have absolutely zero place in the customer service ranks. I was hung up on twice as well.....red flags should have been flying, huh?? I did hire this company to plow my driveway. They charged me a one-time $75.00 fee, and didnt provide the same amount of service, in my opinion. At this time, a quote was given to me for the fee that would run through seasons end. I indicated I was interested, but needed to get back to him. The following day, I called the company to set up my snow plowing contract. I had to leave a message for management. I called the driver who did the plowing, twice......there wasnt a call back from either individual. The following day, I did reach the driver. He mentioned he needed to call the office and would return my call shortly. Upon returning my call, he informed me that his boss decided he was no longer accepting mid-season plowing contracts. This news not only left me high and dry but plenty fired up. I was so furious, i didnt approach the office for further explanation or to try to renegotiate........instead i went online and began my plowing search, again. As a disabled individual, I have to rely on others occasionally. Shame on me for not doing a more thorough search the first time. In conclusion, i would NOT recommend this company to anyone for any reason. Apparently, my 2 star rating has become 1 star!! Stay informed and beware.

I was given a nice donation by this company for a senior garden. They were so pleasant, as I called looking for dirt, but she sent me home with a variety of veggies for the people garden. She walked through her green house and picked a variety of tomatoes so they could have some sweet and fun veggies. They personally loaded my car and as I thanked her (she did NOT take my tax write off slip) smiled and said I am truly happy to give to this community. There are still wonderful people in this world as I almost left the shop in tears of joy. I will be shopping here from now on and will continue to send out a great word. People like them continue to make the world go around. I hope the good karma comes back to them.

I LOVE my experience with Grabber and Sons. Our lawn has never looked better in the summer and our driveway is always perfectly plowed in the winter. I also bought my Christmas tree at Grabber and Sons this year and now plan to do so every year. It was the most beautiful tree I have ever had, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. The owner is passionate about his company and that really shines through in the work done. Great company

We used this so called landscaping company to install several blue spruces on a raised mulch bed. The blue spruces were not installed correctly because the trees kept falling after being staked over and over again. The owner blamed it on the high winds. We had another landscaping company install better, prettier blue spruces with no hassle and problem regardless of high winds. Not accountable and unreliable. STAY AWAY!!!! Grabber and sons will realize that their poor work ethics and POOR online reputation will put their business out of its misery.

Rate 1 star because it is the least option available. But even 1 start is 1 too many! The employees act like someone pissed in their cheerios. & their so called nursery is over-priced which is a shame because I like to throw business to the mom & pop types. Small business owners wonder why communities flock to places like home depot, stop trying to rape us on the prices & you might develop some loyal customers! As for their landscaping, I have heard negative reviews from neighbors but I cannot speak personally on that aspect. Unfortunately it appears not only are they a master of none, but also not even a jack of one trade.

This place looks great on the outside, needs a little help on the inside. From a cost perspective, come on Grabbers be reasonable. Lmao what a joke on the markup, you guys know your nursery is not the only nursery around right? & I agree with Pauly, what a shame because of local businesses failing to provide fair pricing, I do shop at Home CheapO! I just purchased 7 Emerald Arbs for $15 a piece with 1 year guarantee! Usually Emerald Arbs go for around $60 a pop, with prices like that with the guarantee how can I resist? Bought 20 for a total of $300 & saved a total of $900! When I asked Grabber to at least match the competition to give them the business instead, the guy laughed. So I can see where the other reviewer described them as pompous. For now I give Grabber & Sons Nursery 1 star. Clean up your act & I will be back next year for a second chance & review!

This place should not be in business and ought to be ashamed for PRICE GOUGING the elderly people of Cheektowaga during the Snow Emergency in November 2014. I am reporting your business to the BBB of WNY and to the New York State Attorney Generals Office for ripping people off. SHAMEFUL! I heard about your exploitive practices and you are NOT what WNY is all about. You are PREDATORS and I plan to let more people know about your business. $500, yes Five Hundred dollars for a driveway? and you didnt even finish the job. You ought to be locked up. I also hope the IRS comes after you to audit your books. Understand that when there is a disaster, many opportunists appear and go door to door to help fix peoples problems. You are in that group. Your actions are deplorable. Your reviews already written for landscaping speaks volumes of how bad you really are. Now people can add your Snow Removal scam to the list of unsatisfactory services provided by your business.

Had mulch beds installed and they were 6 hours late for the appointment. Put mostly dirt in the beds with a thin layer of mulch. The worse part is they drove a dump truck on my front lawn and it caved in. The guy said he would throw some dirt on it to even it out! Then drove a digger over it which did nothing. They came back to throw down some sod and put dirt around the huge hole. It looks even worse. Dont walk away, run away from this company!

I hired this company because many of my friends told me about there top notch service and there guarantee on all the plants they provide and for ME they went above and beyond working hard to make sure i was happy. WE ALL HAVE this kind of neighbor he is a constant problem!!!. From Peeking out the windows at my family, yelling at my kids!! Aaron has always been a huge problem and a superficial liar. Now after meeting Richard the owner of Grabber and Sons i can say personally that he is far from pompous an i sure wouldnt give my neighbor free work either !! He made time to set up a meeting and give me a free estimate which was nice and its rude for my neighbor to say such things. I seen this review online and had to set the story straight. I will have them back for more work as well as tell my close friends and family to have Richard come by and check it out he knew exactly what we needed to do to make my yard look amazing. All of my work from him was guaranteed and far from sloppy he even sent someone over to check and show me how to trim my wisteria . Do NOT believe all you hear online. Call him yourself

The lady at the register was taking way to long with one customer. She was just standing there talking to the same person forever. And the girl they had working her shorts were so tight and short might as well just wear your underwear to work. And then we were asking questions to the cashier about plants she had no idea what she was talking about.

I would like to recommend Grabber and sons, they did an excellent job designing and installing my new landscape. The staff was courteous and polite. They will be getting my business next year!!
