I am in LOVE with our Greenscene front/backyard! Scott Cohen has a VERY creative eye for design, and he and his full service company created the perfect resort-like yard for our family! He utilized every inch of space, used the latest technology and equipment, and added unique touches that make our house stand out. I was able to pick all of the tiles, stones, flowers, and plants that suited my desired look, and the finished product is gorgeous! We have gotten so many compliments from neighbors and friends, saying how beautiful our yard looks! It truly stands out! My family and I absolutely love spending time in our backyard! It is also perfect for entertaining. We couldn t be happier!

Im very pleased with how our front and back yards turned out. Scott worked with me to make my dream yard come true. When hiring a contractor to build a yard, make sure you research which one to go with. After prior bad experiences with other contractors for my previous house, I never had to worry Scott would run off with our money or leave the job uncompleted. I also did not have to worry about the quality of the workmanship and materials used. Yes, building a dream yard is expensive, but you get what you pay for. From start to finish, it took about a year and a half and there were many scope changes along the way. In the end, it was well worth it. Many a neighbor has complimented us on our beautiful yard. Honestly say enough positive things about Frank, who was our construction boss on the job, and his crew. Top to bottom the team was so pleasant and responsive on every stage of the project. Theres an obvious culture of professionalism and quality of work: Salvador on the concrete, Fernando on the tiles, Angel & Anner on landscaping and Guillermo as the assistant supervisor pitching in where needed. As the project progressed the team would check in daily and provide recommendations based on their expertise, even if the original design or our materials selection said something else, which we totally appreciated because we obviously have less experience seeing the part come together; that and things always look different in real life than in our heads. No project is without the occasional hiccup, but Frank was always on top of it and made sure things were finished properly. If you have the pleasure of having Frank oversee your project you should have a ton of confidence in the work being done. If I have any constructive feedback its the project management couldve been a bit smoother, but that seemed like an area that was getting better with recent hires...

Before hiring Green Scene for our outdoor project we shopped around and decided to go with them because of the following factors. - GS has been on the market for a very long time. They have many finished projects in the area. This gave us confidence that they are reliable. - Few other builders in the area offered prettier renders and cheaper prices, but they did not have many (or any) completed projects. - We had a very specific design in mind. Huge Baja for the pool and very unique outdoor kitchen. GS managed the task, and the backyard turned out great. - The only complaint is that it took 13 months from start to finish. However, it might probably caused by COVID, rainy weather, long permit approval, etc. The crew and PMs are very friendly. Definitely would recommend GS for your outdoor project.

The team at Green Scene created our pool and backyard about 5 years ago, and we have been loving it since. At the time we put our budget into the back yard, so put in place a temporary front yard. This year we decided to call them back to spruce up our front yard and create something unique - and they did! The priority was low maintenance, and they succeeded by utilizing real looking artificial turf. For all the plants and trees, they installed a complete drip irrigation system. For the right side of our yard, we wanted to hide the steep hill that was there, and this was done by three very large planters covered in stone and stucco to match the house. On the left yard we needed a way to drive a car or truck into our side yard behind the gate. For that, they installed large concrete pavers with artificial turf between them. We have a very wide front yard, so lighting was important. The lighting makes a BIG difference in the front of the house. Its all lit up now as you can see in the attached nighttime picture. I watched them daily hard at work for months to put everything in place. Thanks again to the whole Green Scene team.

We recently completed our landscape and hardscape project with Green Scene. We had the opportunity to work with a dream team - Scott as our designer, Frank as our site manager, and a team with decades of experience building quality landscapes and pools. Unlike many contractors who just want to push for the most expensive options, Scott is passionate about landscape design and is an innovator who listens to customers preferences, inspects customers house styles, color schemes and lot geometries then comes up with true custom designs maximizing appearance and utility of every corner of the yards while fitting customers budgets. Scott is not just a designer. He is also so knowledgeable about building processes, code requirements and HoA requirements. He took time to explain these processes and make recommendations with clear rationales. Scott possesses the rare combination of being visionary on overall design and paying attention to every single detail. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge in the area weather, soil types, color matching, flowering seasons etc when making recommendations in plant selection. Frank, an experienced site manager and hands-on builder himself, led the team to turn the beautiful design into reality. Their professionalism and quality of work are constantly demonstrated everyday on every part of the landscape. Cutting no corners, the team ensures they build every component right the first time. Frank, while being extremely busy on managing multiple sites, is always responsive to messages and questions. He is also willing to go out of his way to coordinate with other subcontractors, fix problems that may not be explicitly covered in contract to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Throughout my interactions with Scott, Frank and the Green Scene team, It was clear that this is a team that takes pride in what they do and stands behind every project they deliver. I am glad that I chose the Green Scene.

Go somewhere else! They are disrespectful of your time until you are well committed with your wallet. We are Green Scene clients for life. And we know Green Scene will always be here for us. If we could give a 6 star review, we would. Green Scene did a tremendous job creating a backyard oasis for us. To be honest, better than we ever expected. My wife and I decided we were going to undertake a pool/backyard/front yard renovation in 2020 yes, in the middle of a global pandemic. It was a dream to completely renovate our backyard for many years but it never seemed like the right time, so we decided to start it at arguably one of the most difficult times. Why not just jump straight into the deep end? We interviewed multiple contractors over the spam of a year, reviewed proposed designs from each contractor, and there was no contest. Scott Cohen s design and vision for our property was eye opening and incredibly exciting. We started in mid 2021 and had our finished project by March 2022. Amid pandemic induced supply shortages, Covid closures, permit delays because of Covid, stay at home orders etc., Green Scene managed to handle everything with skill, efficiency, smart management, and also some heart. The office knew this project was important to us and provided the human touch of reaching out during this time and making sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. Scott is creative, decisive, and his unique design made use of every inch of our backyard in a way that feels super custom, practical, and truly beautiful. He knows the pool business and we were correct in putting our trust in him. We have been told by so many friends who have seen our completed project that they cannot believe how much bigger our property looks (without moving a single retaining wall). Shawn was our project supervisor and always responded to issues as they arose (and issues always arise on any project). He was customer oriented, always listened to our opinions, and made sure our needs were met. Randy knows everything about plants and met us at nurseries to help us select landscaping. Delfino and his team were immaculate in how they handled our landscaping project working extremely hard on weekends when necessary. Willie and his team were detail oriented and made sure that the hard scape and bbq area were done well and on time. Every subcontractor was also timely with expert workmanship who respected our property and the job site. That is not easy to say considering how many horror stories we heard from friends and their construction nightmares. And Angel and Janet in the front office sent us weekly emails letting us know what to expect for the week, responded to every email and text (and we sent MANY) and made us feel that we were always seen and taken care of. In the end, we have a backyard and a pool specifically geared to our needs a 51 foot lap lane, large area in the pool to play games and hang out, a bar table in the pool with a built in umbrella hole, large spa, in-pool bench seating enough to throw a major pool party (as our kids have reminded us many times), two fire pits, multiple sitting areas, a built in bench, an outdoor kitchen, a beautiful water feature near an outdoor living room, perfect evening lighting inside and outside the pool, and a large dining area under a beautiful trellis, where we have already had many lazy al fresco summer dinners with friends and family against the perfect backdrop. There is no doubt in our mind that this project will bring our family closer and has already made a huge difference in our quality of life. As long as you set a realistic budget, keeping a cushion for furniture, lighting, pool man and equipment and unknowns that may arise, Green Scene will work with you to stay within that budget. It is worth every penny.

I ll get straight to the point and say I HIGHLY recommend using The Green Scene for your pool/hardscape/landscape needs. Scott and Lisa have built a one-stop-shop that truly delivers with their excellent design, attention to detail, and friendly staff. The design process was smooth and our designer, Tyler, could not have been more of a pleasure to work with. He came up with a great initial design after our first brainstorm meeting, and tweaked it anytime we asked as we decided to make adjustments along the way, no matter how big or small. On the project-management front - Diana and Frank were always available to answer any questions and ensure adjustments were communicated quickly and implemented into the final job. They were informed and patient with all of our asks, kept things on schedule, and finished the job in a timely fashion. When you have projects of this scope and scale that can take 6+ months for larger properties, having a one-stop-shop like Green Scene makes the process much less stressful. They handle all the sub-contracting work for you so you only have to come to them with any thoughts along the way. Pools & landscapes are a huge investment for anyone and you can rest easy knowing that The Green Scene reps will answer all of your questions, make adjustments as needed, and always be available to ensure your satisfaction is met for anything that may arise - even after the job is complete. I could not be happier with my experiences in dealing with Green Scene Landscaping & Swimming Pools. Although I initially was only looking to get my pool redone and maybe get some hardscaping replaced, after seeing the designs that the owner Scott came up with, it quickly turned into a complete redo of the whole backyard. Aside from Scott s beautiful designs, the structure of the company was very impressive to me and every person I dealt with at the office was on top of it and a pleasure to deal with. I was informed at every step of the process and the supervisor on the job, Frank, was always there when needed to answer my questions. We were so impressed with our Project manager Angel, in honor of the extra steps she had to take to get the equipment for the waterfall feature, we named them after her, Angels Falls. In addition, every crew that worked on the project were top notch and very courteous. I found myself just staring out the window marveling at what they were able to do and how they did it. It s quite the process. As you can see from the pictures I ve posted, we started with a very plain backyard and ended up with an oasis that we now spend more time in than ever before. Thanks to the whole staff at Green Scene for making this happen.

Scott, Shawn & the team were simply first class throughout the entire process. We hired The Green Scene to map out a design for our front-yard/driveway and they transformed a bare grass/cement to a stunning courtyard with a big bench, water fountain, lots of flowers/plants to go along with a picturesque driveway. Their open lines of communication, follow through and attention to detail were very much appreciated and we anxiously look forward to working with them again soon!

Took 6 weeks from paying for design and did not receive anything. I requested a refund, Scott contacted us and asked that we give them a chance to put together a design and if at that point we dont want to go through with them we can walk away with a full refund. After a week when Scott showed us the design, he tried pushing us to sign before we left because we did not want to give in to pressure we asked for time to get back to him. We were not offered a refund before we left. After doing research I found multiple other companies that will do your design for half the price. We hired another company (feel free to contact me and I can give you their info). They did our design for half the price and we completely OWN our design that we paid for. GreenScene / Scott will not give you the design after paying 3k, they will tell you it belongs to them. We took Green Scene to small claims court because they would not honor the refund they should have given us many months ago. We were not awarded the money because Scott will show the court that you signed the design away to them so even though they took 2 months to get us a design, promised a full refund, and we have nothing they choose to not refund us and decide to keep our money. I am also a business owner and I would never treat a client like this, I would much rather refund a customer and keep them happy even if I thought I was right. Do yourself a favor, look through the hidden reviews and you will find some others that had similar issues. Dont be fooled, as soon as you decide not to go with Green Scene they will treat you like you dont matter, they will keep your money and not be helpful. The design company I ended up hiring and going with, spent countless hours on multiple revisions and even helped us with other steps of the process free of charge, this all for half the price. You may have avoided a judgement but I believe in Karma and doing business the way you do and behaving the way you do will not work forever, people will start to see and learn the truth.

We are very pleased with our front and back landscape designed and built by Greenscene. Throughout the project, everyone in the office and on-site were communicative, patient, and delineated everything in the project clearly. A special shout-out to Frank, our on-site manager he runs a tight ship with his crew, which kept our project on schedule and efficient. He always took the time to answer our questions and kept a good humor throughout.

My wife and I recently remodeled our home, making it contemporary and soon after we decided to look into redoing our front yard, both landscape and hardscape to match. Twelve years ago we contacted the Green Scene to remodel our backyard. That experience was so pleasant, we did not even have to think twice as to who to hire for the front remodel. We called Scott Cohen and he came to the house to get our thoughts and look at the yard. We gave him total freedom to design the front except two musts. He had to include our two favorite trees, a beautiful Brazilian Pepper and a very mature Olive tree and he had to incorporate a water feature. Two weeks later, we met with Scott. We really believe he is a design genius. He nailed it on the first drawing. It was exactly what we asked for and much more. The Green Scene team is wonderful. They are professional, courteous, tidy, and left our home every day clean and they really limited all the inconveniences as much as possible. The project is now complete and it turned our home more beautiful than we ever dreamed and most importantly our two trees look as if they were always part of the design. We get compliment after compliment from our neighbors and even total strangers. We often see people stop in their cars to take pictures. Our back yard and the front yard is the BEST in the neighborhood! Scott is an amazing designer and he will give you unique design for your home. He has so many ideas! Our neighbors often stop at front of our home and tell us that our yard is the best. And, they havent even seen our back yard! Greenscene was very professional and detailed in every way. I had terrible experience before with contractor so we were very cautious for this project. Scott impressed me completely. Greenscene completed everything they promised and more. Service reps who stop-by our home for Westcliffe community told us that our backyard was the best he has seen in our community! As an architect and contractor it is very difficult for me to give up design and construction control. I am very detailed oriented and have very high expectations. I can truly say that this is the first time in my 40 year career that I have been completely satisfied with the end product. My wife and I chose Gree Scene because design was very important to us and we had a challenging small back yard with a big list of features that we wanted. Scott, Tyler and Frank did not disappoint! We can open our three panel slider and we feel like the back yard is part of our living room. It is so wonderful that the builder of our community often requests to bring a potential buyer over to view what can be done with a tract home. Thank you Green Scene!

911 was the number I dialed to remove Scott Cohen the owner of GreenScene from my property after refusing to stop taking photos and to leave my property. Scott Cohen ignored my repeated request to leave and continued to take several photos without my consent. Scott Cohen choose not to stay and left before LAPD arrived. I did not file a police report due to the possible repercussions with his customer service addressing serious project defects. The law is clear about when you are on private property, the property owner may set rules about the taking of photographs. If you disobey the property owners rules, they can order you off their property (and have you arrested for trespassing if you do not comply). I did not and will not ever consent to any photography. Scott Cohen was told this repeatedly. He even went on to tell me that I dont own my project because I havent paid him in full! Based on our experience I will never recommend GreenScene. This was our first pool and landscape experience. We decided to go with GreenScene as we read many favorable reviews and GreenScene raved they are the premier landscape design and construction firm. We received lower quotes only to be told by GreenScene that those other companies were doing it wrong. What we ended up getting was an arrogant owner, that clearly took advantage of us. We still have a laundry list of problems that havent been addressed. Many emails and discussions have been exchanged. Im not going to provide the entire list of issues, but the biggest was the defective Pebble Tec pool plaster. Upon bringing to Scott Cohens attention, prior to the final payment, he (an industry expert) told us it looked great and was up to industry standard. Despite our concerns with the extreme blotchy coloring, we then learned something else was seriously wrong with our brand new swimming pool as our family/friends were getting cut and scratched up. Obviously something wasnt right. Due to Scotts push back on addressing the issue, we reached out to an outside third party expert who determined the installation and possible start up was done incorrectly. Long story short, there were issues with the product, installation and startup all done and hired by GreenScene. It took ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR fighting with GreenScene and we eventually had to go around Scott Cohen and go directly to the manufacturer (Pebble Tec) and plaster installer (Preciado) to have our brand new pool re-plastered as Scott wouldnt accept anything was wrong. Again, we will never recommend GreenScene. We spent over $200k on poor management, poor customer service, and terrible/defective material that still exists today. Any business that offers product in exchange for a favorable review, shouldnt be in business. Clearly we didnt accept the offer.

When youre considering landscaping and hardscaping for your home it is a big decision, youll be looking at it for many years every day not to mention spending a significant amount of money. So it is important to shop around and read reviews which is what we did. We chose to go with Scott and Green Scene after meeting with quite a few companies in the area because we went to the office and saw the operation and the schedules and crew management not to mention the portfolio is amazing and we couldnt be happier. The quality and craftsmanship is out of this world. But beyond that they did what they said they were going to do and more and they did it ahead of schedule. We live in a new community and you can definitely see the difference in our house to the rest of the neighborhood. People stop daily to complement. After seeing and hearing the horror stories of our neighbors that used other companies that didnt show up for months or came for a day then left we definitely know we made the right decision. The crews are professional and efficient and CLEAN, every day doing a sweep and removing trash etc makes such a huge difference when we see our neighbors houses with trash and cups and dirt everywhere everyday. There is a pride in what they do at green scene. You cant put a price on piece of mind. We Highly recommend Green Scene and will definitely be using them again in the future for our next home.

The Green Scene is the best VALUE out there in the pool and landscape industry, but they are not the least expensive. We initially worked with The Green Scene and several other design/build contractors when we were exploring who to hire for our new Toll Brothers home. We initially thought The Green Scene was expensive, and selected another firm that was a little less expensive and doing many projects in our neighborhood. It was a mistake. The other company (name withheld to protect the guilty) lied to us, failed to get HOA approvals, permits, and was unable to build our job in a timely manner, or to the quality that we required and we ultimately fired them. Turned out all of our neighbors had problems too with the other company with poor quality, no shows, over payments, and incomplete projects after living with a mess for years. With much frustration we let them go .. and we are so glad we did! That s when we reconnected with Scott Cohen and The Green Scene crew and they saved the day. All new design plans and permits were put into motion immediately. The difference between Green Scene and the other company was like night and day it was astounding! The Green Scene is a brick-and-mortar company that is staffed with professionals that handles all the paperwork, permits and HOA docs. Angel, their detailed Project Manager works behind the scenes scheduling and coordinating the teams. Frank, their outstanding hands-on Superintendent oversees their construction Crew and was there every step of the way to guide us with any questions that we had. Scott, who designed and landscaped our yard with such artistry & perfection!! And lastly our favorite of the Green Scene crew was Noe who was so precise and detailed with everything he touched, from creating our beautiful cast concrete polished counters, dog bone bench, walls, etc. His masonry skills are outstanding! Now that we have completed our project with The Green Scene, our yard is the talk of the neighborhood! In the end we may have paid a little more, but we received a lot more quality, creativity, peace of mind, and a sense of pride in our home that is priceless. Ok these guys are absolutely the best Landscaping team in the San Fernando Valley and beyond. Youd be lucky to have them in Bell Air or the Bird Streets, or anywhere in 90210 for that matter. 1. They do what they say they are going to do. 2. They show up on time 3. Their work is extraordinarily good 4. Scott actually has ideas and can design not only on a blank piece of paper but in a 3d file that will allow you to see your yard and make choices while in the space virtually. We decided to go with Scott at Green Scene because we really needed a creative eye to help us design our pool and landscape our backyard. Scott has an amazing ability for redesigning even the most challenging yards. The quality of the work and the end result was unparalleled. Demolition was quick and not intrusive. Green Scene turned our basic backyard into a beautiful, family-oriented oasis. Our project foreman, Eric Sharon, was incredible and always accessible to answer our questions and concerns. Some constructive feedback is that we were also sold on the project management support, which we felt was inadequate. Communication from our PM, was poor and many times actually incorrect. Due to our work schedules, we could not be available onsite every morning, to discuss plans with the project foreman for alignment and relied on the PM support. This is an area for Green Scene to improve to ensure scope and timelines are aligned.

I have worked with Green Scene Landscaping on many architectural projects involving strict HOA guidelines and restrictions and I have to say this company is amazing! The plans they come up with look like works of art, they are responsive and kind. I cant say enough about Scott, Tyler, Stephanie, Kinsey, Jose, Everyone! I highly recommend them for any major landscaping and pool projects you are planning on doing!

This review is for anyone considering Green Scene for their landscaping work and our experience working with them. We have a new construction home that needed landscaping and hardscaping work. The front and back of the house were a dirt lot, a blank canvas for making something that we and the kids would use for the years to come. We interviewed 4 different landscaping companies and had a chance to look at the work they had done in the neighborhood. Scott, the owner of Green Scene, came over to the house for a consult. He interviewed with us with a lengthy design questionnaire. We gave him a very high level idea of what we wanted and our budget. Based on our ideas and questions that he asked, he would come up with a design. Unlike most landscapers, the plans/design would not belong to us. We were hesitant paying for plans that we wouldnt get to keep if we decided not to hire Green Scene. After some discussion we did decide to pay the retainer and at least see what kind of design he would come up with. Scott designed and presented the plans in their Design offices. We were amazed with what he came up with. We had just given some basic ideas of what we wanted but he designed something very detailed and elegant looking. It included concepts that we hadnt seen in other homes and details that would make it unique from neighboring homes. We could tell right away that Scott is an artist. He uses a software that enables one to see the design in 2D and 3D as well which gave us a very good idea of how the place would look like. He gave us a detailed line by line breakdown of the project cost. The estimate they came up with was way more than we had budgeted though. Their prices seemed about 15% more than what other companies would have charged. After much debating we did decide to hire Green Scene even though their price was higher. Why? First impressions matter and we got the sense that their concept looked great and their attention to details. Their whole operation seemed very organized and professional. Their plans were good right out of the box and we only needed to make small changes. We also liked that they did the entire job and that we could chose all the material at their design center without having to go other places. They begun work right after the HOA approved the plans. Their crew were professional through out the process, there every morning by 7 and cleaning up the area every single day after finishing work. The whole work took about 5 months. It was slower than the neighbors projects but it was for a good reason; they didnt seem to rush things and their attention to detail (to be fair, the rain added to the delay). I noticed them measure, remeasure and adjust things frequently throughout and it shows in the end project. There were also things that they tore apart and re-did that we didnt think had any issues but which the foreman saw flaws in and didnt meet their standards. We never once got the impression that they were cutting corners which can be a concern whenever one works with a contractor. Any change or feedback we had was incorporated without much fuss. Scott picked all the plants and flowers, he is very knowledgeable on them and knows what will look good and what will work in our SoCal weather. From the 30 or so different plants, we only had to change a couple so his overall selection was great. They also did a lot of prep work on the area that the lawn is on. We are on a fairly rocky area and the lawn on homes that Green Scene has worked on seems to hold up well compared to some neighbors. The final landscaping looks great and is close to the 3D rendering that was initially presented to us. A lot of the neighbors have complemented us on how good it looks, especially the front landscaping. In summary, even though Green Scene was pricier than other landscapers, they delivered a beautiful and high quality landscaping. Time will tell how well the construction holds up but based on the work they put in, we hope that it will look good for years to come.

Bad driver Their truck almost ran me off the road hound north on I-5. Edit: as a response to the business response. The driver license plate was 46767k2 I believe. Extreme tailgating and unsafe driving by shooting to right lane before passing. This was shortly before we both got stuck in a freeway road closure due to fire. My wife said she noticed driver had a ponytail. Thank you.

I don t understand all of these rave reviews. I have a spreadsheet of over 15 major mistakes that Greenscene made during our project that took over 8 months to complete . In the end, we simply gave up trying to get them to fix all of the errors, and chose to cut our losses (of tension & stress). There was a major leak in the brand new pool they installed (see photo of wet soil next to pool) , which took them over 2 weeks & 30,000 gal of water to fix. In fact, we can only hope it s fixed, bc they covered the spot w sod prematurely before we could verify, and they gave us one of many oops! responses when we challenged them. The planting in our front yard look like a garage sale. No theme, no plan, no color or other coordination. I m working on replacing all. And the trees are puny compared to what was I dictated in the plans. The expensive Artistic Paver Co. patio tiles looks terrible w stains in the cracks (photos) that they claim are industry standard . Such a low bar. The paver company also balked on backing their product (that s a diff review). The stains are not water, btw. Does not evaporate. So many other probs. And the owner is a complete bully, and, characteristically highly sensitive when called out. Push too hard and he will act offended or claim fragile health. Don t buy his customer service claims, either. It s been a nightmare. Happy only to be done with them.

Everything came out great thank you Frank & Scott for the great work done to build my Pool, Spa, Waterfall, Outdoor Kitchen, and Swim Up Bar! Maximizing the small backyard space at my new home in Porter Ranch.

My husband and I contracted Green Scene for our front and backyard and are SOO glad we did. Honestly, you get what you pay for. There were of course a few other contractors we looked at who quoted a lower price but come to find out they messed up one of our acquaintances backyard, so needless to say were GLAD we picked Green Scene. Again, just like with anything else, you def get what you pay for. Main things we loved- 1) They have a cool and helpful 3d design mockup, that looks almost identical to the completed project and color renderings. 2) The entire team was a delight to work with, quite professional. It was obvious from the get-go that staff took pride in their work and in turn that translated into a work of art that well enjoy for a long time to come. 3) We received weekly email updates which was helpful to know what was coming up next. 4) Scott went through the entire process and answered all our questions. We chose specific upgrades that made a big difference at the end, for example the artistic pavers made a huge impact. 5) They somehow, someway made the backyard look larger. How does that even happen? I dont know but they made it happen. 6) We may be more finicky than others and do strive for perfection, these guys delivered just that. We definitely recommend Green Scene. Our front and backyard look beyond amazing, SO aesthetically pleasing, our friends and family are taken back at HOW beautiful it turned out. Truuullly stunning.

We used Green Scene for a total backyard redo -- redesigning an existing pool, adding a Baja Shelf, fire pit and lounge area, all new app-controlled equipment, new landscaping, BBQ and bar area, patio covers, landscape lighting, etc. Their team is cohesive, creative and attentive. They worked with the city and local Homeowners Association to obtain all permits and kept us well-informed of their scheduling plans. Having done any number of activities over the years, we have learned that no major construction like this is ever completed without some bumps in the road and scheduling issues. Yet our main goal was to have everything done for this summers swim season and they achieved that. Attached is one before and several after pics. In summary, Green Scene is a class act...not inexpensive by any means...but you get what you pay for...first rate design and execution!

I cant say enough about the positive experience I had with Green Scene Landscaping. From start to finish the experience was nothing but pleasant. Scott came to our house and looked at what we were working with. To me it was a dirt lot being used to store weeds and garbage. To Scott it was a canvas he could paint a dream on, and the portrait he painted was way beyond my expectations. They show you the design in Virtual 3D before you decide to proceed. And its not some generic pool laid over some generic house. Its Scotts vision brought to life from your suggestions and his creativity right in a model of your house in full color that you get to walk around in with the virtual reality goggles! During the whole process youll go to their office a few times to pick out colors, coping, pavers, plaster and other things I cant remember. All of which is in their show room for you to see and touch. Its fantastic. If you dont want to drive all over the place looking at pieces of your puzzle, then this is your company. I could go on and on about the whole experience but Ill just touch on some very key points and let the before and after pictures speak for themselves. Scott himself: The President of the company comes to your house every couple of weeks to check up on you and your progress. If youre not happy with a choice youve made hell have suggestions for something else. If you want to add something, hell be ready to go over the merits of your idea and the placement of it. Its the kind of personal touch that makes you feel good about your decision to use Green Scene. His crews: Professional, courteous, neat and quiet. With the exception of equipment that is, by nature noisy, I heard no raised voices or loud music. Both things Ive experienced in the past with contractors. His office team: Responsive, courteous and helpful. E-mails I sent were answered in a timely manner. Phone calls I made were picked up. Texts I sent were responded to. What more can you ask for? Inevitable problems that will almost certainly crop up: I had another company come and install fencing and gates. (Green Scene doesnt do fencing and gates, unfortunately) They did a great job but there was a problem. The latching systems they used were not up to code and we couldnt pass inspection until it was rectified. Frank, the foreman on my job, did everything in his power including being the go-between and assisting an entirely different company to get them changed out. It wasnt even his work and he still went out of his way for me. This is the kind of unexpected service that gets your company a positive review from me. I couldnt be happier with my choice of Green Scene to make my pool a reality. Its something Ive wanted since childhood and the reality is even better than the dream and I have Scott and his team at Green Scene to thank for it.

Green Scene Landscaping has done two major projects for us through the years, both were beautifully designed and executed. The front yard was our first project. Scotts design made our home look much more expansive with a curved flower bed, inviting entry patio, peaceful water feature, beautiful plant choices and perfectly placed landscape lighting that made it as pretty at night as it is during the day. Later we hired Green Scene to design and execute our back yard. Scott incorporated a lovely raised entertaining area with a wisteria covered pergola, a gas fire pit, beautiful landscaping and hardscaping along with a lighted fountain. Every time we go into the back yard a sense of peace comes over us. Our friends feel that same emotion when they visit. It truly is our sanctuary. Green Scene does great work at a fair price and made two major projects go very smoothly for us. We love the results and they have enhanced our quality of life.

Green Scene is the real deal. I ve seen them around the area for years and now I know why. Scott Cohen and his team are professional, on schedule, visionary, and most of all, talented. They handle everything from design, permits, HOA fiascos, to the choosing of appropriate plantings for, in my case, a micro climate in a canyon. I had a very specific idea for my hardscape -nearly impossible- and Scott made it happen. They turned my 1+ acres of 1980 s original blah into a 2018 oasis to be enjoyed for decades. Seriously, my backyard looks like hotel grounds. We love our new yard, we use it, and we cannot recommend Scott and his team highly enough.

We hired Green Scene/Scott Cohen because of his extroidinary vision and 3D design for this project. The scope of work included pool, spa, patios, bbq, fire pit, hardscape and landscape for both front and backyards. We were impressed from start to finish. His GC Eric Sharon and his entire team are the most hard working, honest stand-up guys in the industry. We absolutely LOVED Eric and would choose to work with him over again if given the opportunity. Any issues were addressed and solved within a reasonable time frame and the work done was exactly what was contracted. We are excited to enjoy our beautiful new yard and we are thankful to Green Scene, Scott Cohen, Eric Sharon, Wilfredo and his entire crew for the tremendous amount of hard work they have put into making our new house a home now. We are also confident in the future that if we come across any problems Green Scene will be there to make sure they continue to take care of us as they stand behind their work. Scott and his team are awesome! Took a very challenging hillside and turned it into an incredible outdoor kitchen, an additional lower deck with fireplace and a custom stainless steel spa. Scott really solved the problems with his creativity and vision. The whole Green Scene team does quality work. I highly recommend them!

In choosing a company to completely renovate our back and front yards, our objectives were clear find a well-respected and reputable company capable of handling every element of the project from designing, building, and all steps in between to best fulfill our wish of being an absolutely fantastic space for entertaining our family with 2 young children and extended gatherings of sometimes 100+ people. We issued our challenge, wanting clear features of our yard to try to squeeze the most out of it possible - to make it awesome. After discovering that Green Scene had done a number of projects in our neighborhood, all of which turned our great, we decided to give them a call. Scott Cohen (owner) came out and gave his info session/learning our wants/sales pitch. He may have come on a little strong, but, as we would soon find out, Scott was able to back-up his lofty pitch with a clear demonstration of expertise, know how, and, most importantly, being able to blend his clients desires and imagination with his years of experience to create something magnificent. Once construction began, it was clear to us that we made the right choice in company. The workers showed up promptly each day, worked hard, were always extremely professional, and all extremely skilled. Green Scene used a combination of their own employees and some specialty trade subcontractors. They all seemed to work well together and were all very well managed from the Green Scene office. Overall, we were extremely impressed by the workers who worked tirelessly to make our yard as amazing as it turned out. These guys were fantastic! The timeline was fairly close to the schedule that was initially presented to us despite all the rain toward the end of the project which they worked their best around. Sure, during the project we had our occasional frustrations, but, what s a project without that? The Green Scene folks are busy and sometimes, a few reminders are in order. Fortunately, any issue was minor and was always quickly resolved. There were a few unexpected discoveries that increased the initial quote cracks discovered in the pool and needing a larger gas line. We believe Green Scene charged fairly for these unknown items and did not see it as an opportunity to price gouge. During the course of the project, we added a few things here and there which affected the overall budget, but, that was our decision. All in all, everything was kept clean and transparent with very little that was not already taken into account at the beginning. Even after I paid in full, the small fix-it items were done promptly without any frustrations. The project went about as smooth as these projects can ever go. Once the dust settled, the equipment left the site, and the workers went home, we were left with the yard of our dreams. Every wish was fulfilled, we cannot be happier with the outcome. As for the investment we made, it will pay dividends. No, we do not plan to ever sell our home, but, this is a yard that our family will cherish for years. This magnificent new yard brings us all outside to enjoy the quality family time to spend together. In this day in age, anything to pull the kids to get outside, to explore and to play, to use their imagination, to laugh and to live makes this entire project completely worth-while. Sure, we could have selected a company that quoted less or promised to do it faster, but, in the end, this is not a time to cut corners. Simply put, Green Scene works with a higher level of skill and experience than anyone else we were able to find. Every time they start a project, it is clear that they are putting their entire lofty reputation on the line and they will work around the clock to ensure that they don t disappoint. Without hesitation and with the upmost confidence, we highly recommend Green Scene to transform your outdoor living space into one beyond what you can ever imagine. Excellent experience with Scott, Lisa, and the entire team. We had a complex project to landscape, hardscape, and light our front and back yards. From the moment they began on the project to its completion my husband and I were impressed by the entire team. Scott takes the time to listen to your project goals, and he works promptly to give you a beautiful plan.
