J.W. Townsend Landscapes in Charlottesville

We used JWT this past holiday season at our building downtown, and they were INCREDIBLE. Unbelievably on top of it, very thoughtful and creative with their planning, and simply kind/fun to be around. They are hardworking, professional, and very willing to make your vision work! We love JWT!!

JW Townsend provides excellent service, cares about their customers, and follows through in a timely manner without exception. Their staff is skilled, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. My husband and I highly recommend this company!

We had a great experience working with Kyle and his team to clean up our very overgrown yard. Kyle was incredibly responsive and efficient with any questions and/or concerns we had and communicated those effectively with his team. I would not hesitate to call them again!

This company sent me a bill for services I never asked for and never received. To add insult to injury it was for $5k for labor only to lay mulch provided by supposedly me. Not sure where they get off, but my property isn’t even close to be large enough that it needs $5k in labor to drop mulch. I left them a message to dispute it, we’ll see where it goes but regardless it shows some sketchy business practices to bill people for services never rendered. 4/18/2022 Increased the number of stars due to the quick response to get the issue corrected in their system so the right person is billed.

Brandon Oishi and his two colleagues were methodical, precise, thorough, and unobtrusive working on our boxwoods. When finished, the hedges and specimens looked better than ever. Brandon's attention to the metabolic needs and insect/disease condition of the plants was impressive and reassuring. We are very pleased with their work.

Leigh Townsend and his staff will take good care of all your gardening needs. I wish I could afford their services every week; but if you even need them to come out and install a few trees and do some Fall cleanup they will schedule you in. We have been blessed with more rain this year than usual, and my gardens have become more overgrown than I could handle on my own. Call Lynn @ 973-1154 and get on their calendar~!

After a windy winter and long hours at work my yard and garden was a mess and I had no time to attend to it. J W Townsend came over to my house (on time!), gave a reasonable estimate and performed the work quickly and efficiently, making my garden look better than it did even before winter. They gave me additional estimates to remove a couple of dead trees and to provide some plantings to liven up my perennials. I am very satisfied with their service.

J.W. Townsend provided us a beautiful array of plants and flowers -- what they call a Hot Pot -- which adorns our front steps. It complements our other landscaping, and provides a nice contrast to the blue stone and driveway pavers. They offer Hot Pots in many styles and sizes -- it was hard to choose. But if you are trying to dress up a space with a portable selection of plants, this is a great idea. They also come in many sizes and varieties to fit any budget. I highly recommend this creative and reputable landscaping company.
