They are a skilled group that completed the project efficiently in two days enduring cold rainy weather and our neighbors dog that barked nonstop. We are very satisfied with the results. What we appreciate most is their one year guarantee of the plants survival with the consistent use of the irrigation system they installed and set up the timer for us. We would use them again.

We had what I would consider a pretty big project taken on by MetroGreenscape - a complete backyard makeover including a pool, spa, deck, flagstone walkway, travertine patio, retainer walls, gas firepit, lighting, and more. Like most projects of this size we certainly experienced ups and downs along the way, but overall MGS did an amazing job on our yard and we couldnt be happier with how it turned out. We had a seamless and fantastic experience with MetroGreenscape. Our backyard was pretty much unusable. It had a large downward slope and retained water in many areas. My journey to my beautiful project started several months ago. I had called and discussed my project with another company. They took some pictures of my yard and put in some rough details about the landscape work and the hardscape. It was difficult to tell what went where. Several times I told them that I could not have toxic plants in my backyard due to my dogs. They didnt listen and kept sending me info on plants that were dangerous. Then came the contract. It had conflicting paragraphs that they refused to revise. However, the most disturbing was that they were telling me they were 8-10 weeks out and that they reserved the right to increase their quote (even after I signed the contract) during that time. Oh no! Enter Metrogreenscape and Chase Daugherty!. I saw the company advertised on Facebook and called. Chase came by a day or two later. We walked my yard and we talked about what I was looking to achieve. He explained that they do CAD drawings so that you can see exactly what you get and where it will be placed. He showed me a picture of a job they had completed and its CAD drawing. It was difficult to tell which was the real item. They could have met the next week, however we had a trip planned. We met as soon as we returned and met to review the CAD drawings. To say that we were impressed is putting it mildly! My front, back and side yard were absolutely stunning! I asked to see their contract and was totally impressed with the straight forwardness of the wording. (I am a retired attorney) There was no hidden issues. No small print to worry about. And, the quote was the quote. Absent change orders, my price would remain the same! We signed that day. That was July 31. Today is August 29 and the project is complete! And stunning!. They have the best crew you can ever have working at your house! Keith is the boss and stayed in touch the entire time with updates. Adan is the Crew Chief and Freddy oversees the 3-man crew! (I couldnt believe that just 3 people could get this amount of work done in just over one week!) These are amazing, hard-working men. Every day when they left, my yard was cleaned up. (Yes, there was construction materials, but everything was neat and organized) It was very hot, but they made sure they kept to schedule! I cannot say enough about the quality of the work and the integrity of this company. Every single person did their best to ensure our dream of our project came to life! If you are thinking about a landscape or hardscape project (oh, I forgot the drain they installed in a problem part of my yard) please do yourself a favor and contact Metrogreenscape before anyone else! You will not be sorry!!!!! (I wish I was good at uploading pictures, but its not a strong point : ( ) October 2024 update: I need a to put in a warranty claim for the lighting as I appeared to have an intermittent problem. I had an appointment for a consult so I could get an estimate to have a gunnite pool installed at a home we purchased in Mooresville. The night before the appointment, I received a call from Justin who informed me during the call that in order to get an accurate estimate, I would first need to pay to have a design worked up by him. You read that right - before I could get an estimate from MetroGreenscape, I would have to pay for it. Fortunately, there are several other pool companies in Mooresville that do NOT charge for estimates. We decided to cancel the appointment.

Metro Greenscape did a great job on my yard. I am in new construction home and needed to build landscaping from scratch. They provided great design ideas and offered many options given my budget. We developed a phased approach for my property that we can now do in stages. We ve done a 2nd phase and things are looking great! Update: I m now on phase 3 and couldn t be happier! Their customer service is really great - I was having difficulty turning on my irrigation valve and they came to help - even though they are not required to do so! It just shows that they stand behind their work and will go that extra mile.

My husband and I met with Chris purely after frustration from working with a previous landscaper who left our backyard with dead trees with a couple on the way. The side of our house was in dire need of an upgrade and the front left little to be desired. And we had a couple of dead bushes there as well. Chris came up with a design plan and just a couple of weeks later, the job was complete... in one day. One of the things that really caught me was as we were doing the walkthrough, a butterfly came and landed in the butterfly portion of the garden, Brandon suggested would bring butterflies. The proof was in the pudding that they had picked one of the right plant for us, as we relied solely on their suggestion. In the next few days or so with the tremendous heat wave a hydrangea bush that was previously planted that might not have survived the season but might come back next year, Brandon, gladly came by to replace with three others in its place. They have been growing steadily ever since. We have rose bushes growing and gardenias and a cherry blossom tree and Im looking forward to it all blooming. So far so good. Very pleased with the service we received. Our only regret is that we did not contact them sooner. The service has been outstanding. And both Brandon and Chris were great to work with! THIS REVIEW IS BEING UPDATED TO INCLUDE A REVIEW OF THEIR LAWN CARE WHICH IS FAR DIFFERENT AND ANOTHER DEPARTMENT THAN THEIR DESIGN. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Sean is wonderful, he listened to what we wanted and what we could afford. He suggested different flowers and a little rearrangement of what we already had. Once the plans were sent, we were able to make adjustments and also add plants. Sean and his crew came and transformed our backyard to a beautiful oasis of color and greenery. He also put in different pebbles that looked so good with the coloring of the house. Sean is patient, kind, personable and honest. He is knowledgeable about plants and landscaping designs. Because we used another landscaper the year before, the design was already done, yet Sean worked with the area and made it look better and beautiful. Thank you, Sean and crew! MetroGreenscape did a major overhaul on my backyard. The back elevation was difficult at best to work with because it was so steep and narrow. They did an amazing job with the stonework and waterfalls and patios. Can t wait to see when all the new plants look their best in the spring and summer! Brandon and Felipe were fabulous to work with. Very accommodating and worked extremely hard to make me very happy. They were also very conscientious with the construction debris as well as consideration of neighbors. Even after several months, when we realized a few plants were the wrong variety, MetroGreenscape replaced them almost immediately!

Wow! We recently purchased a home previously used as a rental for several years. The landscape was in serious need. We called Sean for a quote and he came and listened to our thoughts, then gave us what he could do in our budget. Today Sean and his team returned and literally created a miracle! Kid you not! They pulled out all the old ( the roots on that stuff!!) and proceeded to install the most beautiful bed in front of the house; nice simple trees by the garage, dressed up underneath the maple tree, took out the tree smothering the A/C unit (seriously why plant a tree on top of that?), and put down beautiful black mulch!!! And spotlessly cleaned up! I m so impressed. Being new to the area it s hard to know who to call and who to trust. If you want fair pricing, spot on work, tremendous work ethic, this is your company. And speak to Sean. No job he can t do, big or small.

I truly appreciated when a palm tree that was included in my yard project was replaced because it died from disease. It could not be replaced for a year because of weather condition etc. I had great follow up throughout the year while we waited for the right timing. Now it has been replaced and my project is complete. I so appreciate when a company stands by their word. It is hard to find these days.

MetroGreenscape did an incredible job on my landscaping! Derek and his crew were awesome! They planted a beautiful spectrum of flowering shrubs. They also moved several plants that weren t doing well in their location. So friendly and easy to work with!

Unfortunately, this project, which had so much potential, had some major hiccups. - We had to request for particular areas of the back yard to be completed (benches, stone walkway, etc.). - Supplies were stored on property, ruining our large side yard and almost half of the backyard. Their solution was to over seed and add straw. Almost a year later, no grass had taken root. I ve now learned from actual experts, that Bermuda grass doesn t grow that way. Sod has to be installed since the roots are shallow and grow sideways. This mistake has cost us almost $8k for what was already an $80k project. - What was supposed to be a five week project, took more than twice as long. - The project manager was extremely rude to my wife when she had basic questions that he couldn t answer. Wouldn t recommend these guys!

After unsuccessful search for new property and home that would suit us better, my wife and I decided to transform our current home into something we would love even more. I had a couple luxury pool and landscape contractors come out before MetroGreenscape. They focused on limitations/pitfalls/costs and left me feeling like they wanted to pop in some quick and easy changes, charge us a huge sum, and leave. After calling Metro, Justin and Max visited to see what they could do to help. We walked around then stood up there on the weathered wooden deck, looking over a beloved but overgrown backyard. Justin had an immediate vision for what the backyard could be. There were options, yes, but he had a great vision and drew us into it easily. Instead of limitations, they spoke of solutions to meet our hopes for this project. Justin was very frank about their pricing. They only work with the very top-tier materials and contractors. Metros employees are first rate as well. The design/estimation team, office personnel, project manager, construction manager, electrician were all so pleasant, reasonable, and helpful at every step. Allison, the sales coordinator, is a real gem. From start to finish she was the glue that kept everything working well together by interfacing between us and their various employees and outside contractors. She was always easy to reach and even traveled out to meet us when it made sense. With all this to offer, Justin made it clear that they were a top-tier company that would offer fair but certainly not bargain basement pricing. We were totally sold before they walked off of that rickety deck that day. Justin promptly supplied interactive 3D renderings of landscape designs with our house portrayed along with the new elements. It was obviously going to be a multi-month project. Numerous 140 ft tall trees and multiple truckloads of brush had to be removed. Our septic pump station had to be relocated which required all new wiring, piping, and removal of old tank/pump. Once the rough clearing was complete, Metro and ION arranged an on-site meeting where we all got together and went over the project complete with detailed construction schematics. It was like meeting with a bunch of friends with a common goal of beautifying this backyard and the expertise to actually make it happen. John (construction manager) and Jake (electrical) were very impressive. John has vision for construction projects like Justin does for landscapes. Of course our deck replacement was small potatoes for him but he offered the various options, helped us determine the colors, and did a two-tone arrangement that we really adore. Jake was always prompt, professional and helped ensure that we would switch to the new septic system in a seamless way. ION outdoors has an equally impressive team and exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled with their work and how they engaged us throughout the process. They always opted for quality instead of expediency, and made a pool that we love. When the pool was mostly complete, Adan (project manager) went to work. They put in the entire patio, foliage, mulch, slate walkway, and fire-pit in about a week. There was great forethought regarding the slopes/drainage everywhere. We had 20+ years of terrible drainage with a large mushy under-deck area. This was transformed into a space that now my wife is taking over with table and chairs, hanging lights, outdoor chandelier, plants, etc. LOL, maybe I didnt think this whole thing out as well as I should have. I elected to handle the lawn myself since its something I like to do. So Ill till, fertilize and seed next. Well do final clearing, refinish and relocate the kids swing set, then haul the skid-steer out. All hopefully just in time for Summer 24 which promises to bring more foot traffic than ever before through my basement and into our backyard. Again I wander if Ive thought this all through properly! I met with Jamie Baker to discuss our plans, priorities and budget. He was very helpful and provided suggestions that allowed us to maximize our budget. I was very pleased that this allowed us to expand our patio even further. The project stayed on time despite some bad weather, and the team quickly completed the work. Very happy with the results!

Very disappointed in the quality of the plantings. Product quality is a reflection of a company. These didnt die, so they were not covered by warranty. Several grasses, azaleas and other small plantings didnt make it and were replaced through their warranty program. But we lost a whole growing seasoning with low quality plants that needed to be replaced. Were very happy to let our friends, family and neighbors who planted these for us, so they can make their own educated decision. *Reply to MetroGreenscape, we were customers who worked with Scott, Kathy, Marybeth, Mari, Tina, Jenny, Gabe, David, Joe. Did our due diligence, no avail to, to get poor quality addressed.

MetroGreenscape did an fabulous job on the design, guidance, and installation of our custom landscaping project. And when I say custom, I mean different from the norm. I wanted a natural looking retaining stone wall like you see in Kentucky or the UK. I wanted stone steps to meander around the stone wall. And we needed to fix our water flow and drainage problem. Aubrey and Roger listened to what I wanted and made it happen. I even requested that the materials and plants be sourced locally and were native to NC or the southeast. And they obliged without complaint. They are professional, efficient, knowledgeable, flexible, and really want to create your dream vision. I also want to mention Freddie and his on-site crew. They worked hard and fast. We were always amazed at the end of the day how much they accomplish and how much it transformed from morning to evening. Their team of experts from Scott (consult/sales), the landscape designer, Roger (Project Manager), to Fredy (Installation) and his team, and beyond (those in the office), made our dreams of a lovely backyard come true. Recently had a large project done, Sean was great with the planning and design. Install was quick and painless. Routine service has been great and any issues are taken care of quickly. Demetrius with irrigation is FANTASTIC. Best irrigation person I ve dealt with, fixes the issues quickly, and goes beyond in service taking care of non-irrigation issues without prompting. Very happy and recommend fully.

They left our gate open and the dogs escaped twice; jacked up monthly price by $50 and we d only had a 1-year contract; they didn t fulfill the last month of service; revolving door of crew. They are lucky to have Alex! He s awesome and a great employee.

Justin and Max and the entire team were great throughout the entire process. Metro green scape did an amazing job from start to finish. they also quickly addressed any concerns and were transparent from start to finish. They addressed all my questions about the contract. They were also competitively priced after searching for others in the area. A major positive is that they are speedy and efficient. Team could slow down a tad in the design process so it doesn t feel rushed but in the end I really appreciated this bc now we get to enjoy our patio all summer! And Justin/max/design team def have some taste don t be afraid to trust them! They also helped set up connections for our screened in porch and are continuing to help with an additional estimate after the fact when we wanted to add one more thing!

Metro Greenscape did a fantastic job with our outdoor fireplace. Throughout the job our PM was very communicative and helpful. He kept us up to date on their progress and asked for feedback so that they could take action on it during the job instead of at the end. We would definitely work with this company again!

Allison was great in getting it scheduled and getting me the quote all wrapped up. She was very prompt in getting us on the calendar to get the job done. But when the gentlemen arrived they had no idea what they were here to do. They werent shown pictures of the deck that they were to repair the pavers that we had. Mari was quick to correct the problem and got them in line with what they were supposed to. be doing and then the real work began! They took up the pavers that were there and leveled the earth below them..some were in cement and they couldnt reuse them...so they ran out to buy pavers that looked similar to the ones that we had in place. They werent a perfect match but it is such a small spot people will hardly notice it. All in all, they did a great job! And I would recommend them to family and friends.

I have used this company for lawn maintenance over the last 3 years and they have just absolutely destroyed my lawn. For being one of the most expensive services in charlotte you would expect more. They dont put down treatments on time and will skip entire treatments. They must mow weed fields with the same mowers they use on residential because my yard which was pretty much weed free is probably 25% weeds now. They will let things like bermuda take over your fescue or or just like easily treated lawn disease take over your yard and not do anything until you call them and even then not always do anything. The only good thing I can say about them is they are good at cleaning up your leaves in the fall. I would strongly recommend using pretty much any other lawn service. No one could do a worse job and you would likely at least not spend as much.

We were in need of landscaping in our recently purchased house that is about 20 years old. The scope of the project included replacing all flower beds on the property, planting privacy trees, installing lighting, & temporary irrigation. During the process of completing these activities there were some pre-existing trees- one very large- that were obstructing the project. The team got together and removed the tree very professionally and we were very impressed how they worked to get this unexpected issue resolved. The project was completed and everything was cleaned up and our new landscaping looks great!! Our new neighbors are commenting as they walk by that they are happy with how the landscaping is bringing new life to the property. We were very happy with the entire team, from initial site visit, to presenting the design concept proposal, and on to the actual installation and final walk through. We recently completed a project with MetroGreenscape a to put in a pool (w/ Ion Pools), landscaping, hardscaping with turf and sunken firepit. Metro works quickly and efficiently and had a whole team dedicated to bringing our project to fruition. We worked with Justin as our designer and sales. He took our vision, improved it and brought it to life. He was able to pick up on our design aesthetic instantly. He was never shy about giving suggestions and knew what we needed and would like better than we did. Furthermore, he stayed with us and monitored the project every step of the way often spotting things that needed attention before we could. We are so appreciative of his time, attention, dedication and occasional weekend drop in check on install. Adan was our project manager. He always took the time to explain why things are done a certain way and provided daily (often more frequent) status updates. He was on-site every single day of the project and sometimes even helped the crew to make sure we stayed on schedule such as clearing a trench for the inspector after a heavy rain. Projects can get messy with mud and rain and we appreciate Adan always trying to keep a tidy worksite and working with subs to minimize mess and disruption (our decking is white marble). Whether it was in person, phone or text, we were always kept informed and were very happy with his excellent level of communication. Roger was our Operations PM and the added level of QA I didn t know we had. It is always reassuring to know there is an extra set of keen eyes on the project. We appreciate his friendly demeanor, attention to detail and him coming in and making sure we were happy with metro s quality standard. Lastly, the crew itself was friendly and great. Whether it was Alex s team working on hardscape/ landscape , Rafa from the irrigation team or Francisco and Fermin and the in-house landscaping team (there were so many to list), every single person was friendly, efficient and a pleasure to have working on our project. We are very happy with the finished product and with how long metro took to deliver.

MetroGreenscape is a truly top notch customer experience. After completing a large landscaping project in early 2022, there was an area that needed to be regraded which we postponed until after another project was completed. That project was delayed on numerous occasions but was finally completed in summer of 2023. We called MetroGreenscape and they immediately scheduled someone to come out and completely regrade the area in question without charge. They are one of the few companies that I have ever worked with that truly cares about customer satisfaction.

My husband and I contacted several firms, including Metro Greenscrape, to inquire about planting privacy trees in our back yard. From the beginning, Justin Cox (our designer with Metro) was extremely attentive and followed up nearly instantly with all of our questions. While he was at our home to discuss the trees, we began to discuss a possible larger hardscaping project that we contemplating. Our yard was very hilly with significant older plantings and landscaping issues to deal with but Justin inspired confidence in our vision and helped us lay out a perfect plan. Throughout the process, communication was stellar. Anyone who has used a contractor recently knows how rare this is (other firms didn t respond for weeks and months at a time). Any time we had a question, concern or design idea, Justin was on it and would respond via text within hours. This made the design process really fun because our thoughts, vision and goals were taken into account and brought to life. Once the design was complete and construction was about to start, we met our Project lead Roger Mason. Roger continued the experience of exceptional communication and inspired so much confidence in us along the way. Any time we had a question or concern, he was on the phone and/or onsite. Every new change order was completed immediately and every issue was dealt with promptly. He was amazing and is a true asset to the company. Finally, our crew was so nice, hardworking and generally fantastic. Freddys team worked from sun up to sun down 6 days a week. Having someone in your space for several weeks can be intimidating but we were instantly at ease with his crew. They took so much care and were very meticulous in executing the vision. In the end, the result was simply out of this world! Our neighbors have all commented about how incredible it looks and how much it has changed our yard. We couldn t be happier. We used MetroGreenscape to clean up our yard and to plant new grass and flowers. Sean Schutt was extremely helpful and honest when it came to all facets of the job. Based on what we wanted, he gave us an honest, accurate quote. We appreciated that there were no surprises. Sean provided daily updates on the job. His crew had to navigate the rain, but they used their time masterfully to complete our project in a timely manner. We will be using them again for other projects.

Absolutely terrible. No one calls you back and they killed several our plants including a 15 year old fig tree. They buy up smaller landscaping businesses so there is no consistency. They will leave huge piles of leaves in your yard for another team to pick up, maybe a day or so later. They have about 2-3 teams come, so one day is a lawn mower the next hedges and it s constantly people in your yard which is annoying if you have dogs. I really wish we never got involved with them

Initial consultation was good. Service on the day of the project was good too and we are happy with the outcome. However, the communication is beyond horrific. They do not have any type of solidified workflow to properly communicate anything and admitted to having real troubles with this as a company. I would not use their services again or recommend them until they take the time to clean that up. The frustration of it all isnt worth it when there are plenty of companies out there we can do just as fine a job with excellent customer service.

I had MetroGreenscape provide extension tree planting and tree re-location in my backyard and pavers to extend by driveway. I also used them a few years prior for landscape drainage. They EXCEEDED my expectations. I cant say enough about how hard the crew worked and how professional they were. I highly recommend and will be using them on any future projects i have.

We used MetroGreenscape to add to our back yard landscaping originally designed and installed by MetroGreenscape last year. We had a few trees die in the initial installation but MG was highly responsive and honored their warranty and replaced the trees - something not typical these days. So we used them again. Our neighbors have commented on how great our backyard looks. Well done MG! BTW: The guy that really stood out to us was Joe DeBenedetto (sp?). While he is the quality guy, he was the best sales person at MG that I interacted with ... in my opinion. He listened. He was responsive. He was knowledgeable. He did exactly what he said he would do, He was present to make sure everything went well. And he was extremely personable. I would highly recommend MG for your landscaping needs. We had our large concrete pool patio replaced with pavers. Additionally they added landscape lighting, a firepit and bench.. Nick was our project manager and went above and beyond to make our experience great. We had a couple of items that needed to be fixed and Nick was right there to address. Our Project Manager, Zack Criscoe, and Alex, his on-site team lead, did a great job executing the installation of our travertine pool deck and outdoor kitchen island, including building a 4 retaining wall with an 18 seating wall on top of it. Zack made several great change order suggestions to improve the design as it was being installed and it was possible to really see the opportunity presented by the space. I would hire Zack and Alex again.

Used metro greenscape to design and install fire pit and landscaping around new pool. Roger, the project manager, was great as was the install crew. They showed up on time, were able to accommodate requested changes along the way, and completed entire project in a week (as they projected). Made a follow up visit to check the drip lines and check on plants. We were very happy with the entire process. Would recommend them.

We used MetroGreenscape to install a paver patio, firepit, seating wall, French drains and sod in our backyard and in the front, stone edging around the gardens, lighting, planting a tree and sod. They did absolutely beautiful work. They were on time, responsive, and always here when they said they would be. I would highly recommend them for any yard work you are considering. They were finished with the work within a few days and respectful of our property.

I had reached out to MetroGreenscape to talk about a total plan for my front and back yard, to include possibly an outdoor kitchen. They planned the work to be exactly what I wanted to see. They worked with me on budget and I was able to determine what I wanted to do today, this fall and then next year. We just started with Metrogreenscape for our lawn maintenance a month ago, and to date we have been very pleased. In one short month I have received terrific communication from our lawn manager, Derek, and our turf manager, Sean. The crew doing our routine maintenance are so polite and very conscientious. To cite a few examples: 1) we have a patch of new sod that they made sure and used the push mower on and not the rider. 2) we have stairs leading right into our pool and they pulse the blower when blowing them so as not to get a bunch of debris in our pool. 3) we had a branch up high that the wind broke off, but was still dangling in the tree. They cut it loose from the tree, cut it up, and took it away! 4) they even come up to our upper patio area to blow it off even though it s not in the yard . We just wanted to recognize their professionalism and attention to detail. Hoping for continued great service from Metrogreenscape!

They are lazy. They never do any edging and they blow around a lot of dirt. All of the shrubs and trees are overgrown

Hired for front yard landscape makeover. Initial consult and design was nice but pricey. We figured though that they are a reputable full service landscape company and would be worth it. After we signed the contract and paid a deposit, things did get a little rough from there. The initial project manager was great but there seemed to be a disconnect between his plan (and types of plants we selected) and what was being done at the business office and this caused some internal strife and frustrations. You could sense his frustrations about this and it gave us concerns. He subsequently quit mid project. They installed the first bit of landscape and it looked great but given the time of year, they elected to forego the other plantings until spring. Fast forward 4 months and they came back to plant the last bit but they planted the wrong stuff. When they finally replanted what we selected, 80% of it died within 3 weeks despite us doing exactly what they told us to do. Per their warranty though, it does not cover annuals and we essentially were out that money (and plants)and had to spend additional money to replant things we selected at Lowes ourselves! (of note, those are still alive today and cost significantly less!). I would double check their plant recommendations as well. We told them we have a lot of deer and so they recommended hydrangeas. They planted 25+ of them. However, deer have ravaged them and now we have to spray the plants almost once every other week with repellent to keep them away. i would have never selected them if we knew this was gonna be the problem.

Customer service is good and the consultation was thorough. Im looking forward to potentially working with this company.

I initially pursued the MetroGreenscape team in order to add some landscape (i.e.: color and greenery) to our front and backyard. I then learned that they are one of the few Charlotte companies that also provide pool deck refurbishing and repair. After meeting the team and understanding their politeness, competence, professionalism, and punctuality, I was eager to grow my project to also include a pool deck replacement. MetroGreenspace helped me with this additional project and they were even able to begin both earlier than originally anticipated. Ran into a few bumps as usual with any large project but overall did a great job. Nick was in communication always and listened well to our concerns. Fixed them immediately. He was great!

Rocky start but Nick was 5 star for service and responsiveness.

I chose them because they were one of the few companies that were able to do hardscaping, landscaping and artificial turf. Overall the end product looked great. However for the price, I did not appreciate that there was poor communication between their team and in between myself and the poor attention to detail. Changes that were made to the design prior to the start of the project were not relayed to the new project manager. They put plants in the wrong location. They cracked an irrigation line and didn t notice it. I did not receive the watering instructions for the plants and sod until weeks after the project was completed. I felt like I had to be the project manager throughout the project and babysit which is not what I expected for the amount of money I paid. Ultimately, they made everything correct. For My future landscaping services, I will be using another company.

I have a basic small lot in a stereotypical suburban neighborhood. I didnt ask for anything fancy but after almost 17 years in the house, I had let the yard get away from me. They cleared out old bushes and created mulched landscape areas (two in front, one in back) with all new plants, installed drip irrigation. They also covered a large area in pea gravel where I now have a fire pit. The quality of work was fantastic! The communication wasnt fantastic but the work makes it worth it. I would just encourage people to proactively stay in touch with them. I wanted a company that would do 100% of the work as well as the design so this was a great match for me, but it is not an inexpensive option by any means. But you get what you pay for and I appreciated the full service. The designer picked all the plants for me and then helped me choose alternatives on any that I didnt love from his original plan. The actual crew was hard-working, friendly and efficient.

While MetroGreenscape did an outstanding job on our backyard transformation, I am equally pleased with the lawn maintenance that they are providing. My husband has been doing all of our lawn care for 36 years and he was hesitant to hand it over to someone else. But now hes wondering why it took him so long! Our turf has never looked better. Leaf removal alone would be an excellent reason to use MGS! When we added up the money we have spent each year having our lawn aerated and reseeded, leaf removal each fall, and trimming and hauling away overgrowth on our shrubs, we are actually saving money by using MGS. We love having one person to contact who manages our property needs. We get prompt, professional, and detailed service from everyone weve come in contact there and will definitely use them again!

Please learn from our mistakes and avoid this company at all costs! We contracted with them to update our backyard, and initially things went well. However, once our deposit was received, the delays began. Our calls and emails went on, answered. The project manager was missing in action. We just ended up having to pay a plumber to replace a pipe that one of their landscaping nails went through. David came out, took a look, admitted that it was their nail butt, said our plumber overcharged us, and refused to pay. Absolutely awful service and very questionable business ethics. Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys at all costs.

The work done on our backyard resulted in damage to a sewage pipe - they put a stake into the sewage pipe. This backed up over Thanksgiving and caused our guests to have to move out of our carriage house space. MetroGreenscape admitted they did it but did not take steps to assist with paying for this painful repair. Sorely disappointed in a company that does not take responsibility for its mistakes. I would not recommend.

We hired Metro Greenscape to build a gas outdoor fireplace in our outdoor living area, tile the existing concrete patio, and build a paver patio next to the outdoor living area. Overall the process and end result were painful and a bit disappointing. If you are looking for a contractor that can manage and deliver on ALL aspects of the project allowing you to be totally hands-off and an all-in bottom-line price, you might want to look elsewhere. As seen in a previous review, project management was terrible. The project began in November and was so-called completed the first week in January. The paver patio was completed with the wrong paver and had to be re-done with the correct pavers. Materials and equipment were left in our yard and driveway as the project lingered on. We needed to buy our own tile and provide an internet link explaining how the tile is installed on an exterior concrete slab, we had to go purchase our own gas fireplace insert, logs, and screen causing some confusion and stress on us, we had to separately pay for the electrical, and plumbing (gas line) work required. The fireplace was not finished off/trimmed to our satisfaction. We had to ask them to please come out and trim off the top of the fireplace and hide the conduit that came down on top of the stonework before we would make the final payment. The yard repair looks like we will be left with some seeding and leveling at very least come spring. ***** Sort Reviews by most recent and lowest, interesting. Business response says a lot. Not Direct Client in their opinion. I guess this business will only deal with ONE family member. I also like the way they blamed us for picking the wrong subcontractor they recommended. Goes back to our point, project management is a mess and customer involvement was necessary. So glad Metro was proud of their final result! I guess it doesnt matter if the customer was pleased with the result!

We had Scott come out to help us with our initial appointment where he drew up an amazing design plan. He was extremely professional throughout the visit, and gave us his cell phone number for any questions we may have. We are new homeowners and we knew that we could not afford the upfront estimate he gave us- luckily Scott was more than willing to break down our overall vision into three separate projects to help us financially. We just completed our first project: French drains and river rock. The crew showed up and never stopped working. Our two day plan turned into a 1.25 day based off of how committed they were. The end result is beautiful. The river rock gave our house a new curb appeal and the drainage will prevent our water pooling. They were nice enough to place hay over the areas they worked on and took the mulch they moved offsite. As soon as they left, we knew we were ready to start the second phase and have already committed to them for our hardscape component.

We chose MetroGreenscape to revamp a large area of our backyard. It involved a master design including plants, a new deck, patio, retaining wall, drainage, lighting (front and back), and adding to an existing irrigation system. We interviewed 4 different companies, and ultimately chose MetroGreenscape because they provided and guaranteed a totally turnkey job, their references were stellar, and because we really liked Chris Parris and his design. We have been extremely pleased with the quality of their work, their professionalism, responsiveness and follow through. Scott Greeson did a very good job of managing the installation crew, and they clearly take pride in their work. Theyve done little things that they didnt need to do and returned to check out and improve our entire irrigation system, enhance the lighting, replace a plant that died, and clear a clog in one of the drains. Theyve bent over backwards to make us happy, and we strongly recommend them without reservation.

Maybe they get too many people that reject their bids so this weeds out people that are looking for a fair and competitive bid. It worked, I will continue looking for a reputable company.

We have used MetroGreenscape for years and would not think of using anyone else for our lawn maintenance. Metrogreenscape have also completed large scale projects at our properties over the years from irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, tree relocation and some hardscape projects as well. Sean and his team did an amazing job installing a drainage system in our front yard. For several years after a heavy rainstorm, water would pool against our foundation and flood our backyard. MetroGreenscape dug a multi-inlet trench, added river rock and Sean designed this system so that rain water would always divert 25 feet away from our home. It rained heavy, and problem is fixed. These folks are simply the best in the entire Piedmont region. They service our entire property and can add to hardscape and soft-scape aspects to remedy any issue and add value & comfort to your home.

Their pricing was also very competitive with other quotes we received. Once we signed the contract, we were issued a detailed outline of the project and when to expect people at our house. Once construction started, the crew re-communicated the plan for the week and got right to work. They were not only very efficient in what they did, but were also conscious of the noise and affect they had on our neighbors. After the project was complete, the project manager came by to ensure every aspect of the job met our intent and expectations and promptly fixed anything that was identified. Our yard looks amazing! Awesome service. This is our second year using MetroGreenscape. Some say its impossible for the sequel to be better than the original but I disagree. First year was awesome and second year is better. Work order was to spread 13 yards of mulch, trim thirty 20 foot tall holly trees, 2 young oaks, a large Japanese maple and more than 2 dozen shrubs. This year mulch is deeper and covers more ground. Shrubs look amazing and the team was fast, efficient and very neat. They didnt leave a single trimmed branch of leaf. Simply amazing work. Setting the appointment with Sean was a phone call and a few emails. Price was better than other quotes although everyone says metro is expensive. We were quoted $1600 for mulch alone from other providers as if there was a Covid related shortage of mulch. This may be true but I dont feel like Sean jacked the price up compared to last years quote. I love love love paying the invoice in a few clicks with Apple Pay. Some other quotes where cash only or check and other quotes needed multiple days to complete job. We are too busy to hand hold a contractor so thank you for making this process so easy.

After paying the $100.00 consultation, my appointment with Chris Parris was a huge waste of time. He never EVER called me back or emailed me like he said he would. During the consultation he was soo focused on his own agenda and setting up a landscape. Project the way HE wanted to. I had to tell him multiple times what I was interested in, what was a must have and my price point. He over talked me a lot. I wanted to stay between a certain range and he quoted me $7k more than my range. He had a sketchy look and demeanor when he left, so I m not surprised I never heard from him again. I want my money back for no follow up, I guess my project was too small. Never again.

We recently signed a contract for all inclusive lawn maintenance for our house in Myers Park area with Metrogreenscape and the experience has been wonderful. Sean and his entire team are professional, knowledgeable, proactive, responsive, and easy to communicate with. I prefer to have a single point of contact for all my yard needs and Sean and team have delivered and impressed me with quality of work. I am also planning to engage them to address drainage and landscaping issues.

David Foley came out and evaluated my yard and we settled on a design and we went to work, The day of the install he changed all of the plants and I went along with it because I trusted him. David put in 1 gallon plants through out my yard they have been back 2 times to try and make this right. They spent around $4,000 the first time in plants and when I complained they sent $1700.00 worth of plants from Site One because I signed the bill of laden. So less than $7, 000 on a $35,000 contract. They are a horrible company. BEWARE!!!!!

Watch out that initial $49 may be all you spend. Are you really twice the price of everyone else? Do you really want me to pay you to put something together that should be free or I could do myself? I can tell you are going come out of covid and hit the ground running.

TOOK MY MONEY AND RAN!!! Scott stopped by my house 11-19-20 for some drainage issues I was having. I paid $99 to discuss solutions and what my budget was with Scott and he advised that he didnt have an answer for me at the time, but he would reach back out. That is completely fine with me, however, I NEVER RECIEVED A FOLLOW UP LET ALONE EVEN A HINT OF A SOLUTION. I never heard back from Scott or anyone at MetroGreenscape, and when I did call they were not very helpful or seem to care that I paid for a consultation with their living specialist and received ZERO consultation. I was finally able to get Scotts number and left multiple voicemails but, surprise! NEVER received a call back. This man walked around my house with me, told me about how much of a good Christian man he is, and how he wants to do right by me but doesnt have the decency to even call me back. Thanks for nothing.

In the year we had them Ive never received worse lawn care service. We had to call and/or email over a dozen times to complain about what should have been common sense issues regarding how to mow a lawn. For the amount of money you pay, you shouldnt have to teach the crew how to mow. We switched to a local guy and have had zero issues.

This team is awesome!!! I am all about the relationship with vendors I select. This team listens, executes and consistently delivers quality AND customer service. We just had a lot of hollys trimmed - they worked so hard and the results are fabulous

I wish I would have read some of the reviews prior to contacting MetroGreenscape. It seems my experience is not unique... Our neighbors hired MetroGreenscape so we decided to give them a call... they had a fee to come out and provide a quote. We were looking to get a paver patio, retaining wall, outdoor kitchen and fireplace in our backyard. It has been several weeks and Chris has gone radio silent (and never provided us an actual quote). In our minimal interactions, Chris kept re-iterating that we had to decide if they (MetroGreenscape) was a good fit before theyd provide additional details in terms of pricing/design. He was upfront (borderline rude) in saying that other companies could come in and do the work for half the price, but they would be inexperienced and do poor work (he tried selling on fear). He never gave us more than ballpark numbers, which had wide ranges. Im not sure what the fee was for because we feel that we never received a quote in return. It is hard to decide if MetroGreenscape would be a good fit for our project, because we could never get an answer on how much we would be spending, what the project would entail, and types/colors of materials to be used. Even if we did want to proceed forward, it appears Chris has no intention of contacting us again about next steps.

My wife and I purchased a new home that was a blank slate. Metrogreenscape provided a beautiful design. They expedited all permits and broke ground in December so we could enjoy the yard by spring. They managed all aspects of the project, from Pool to planting. The process could not have been better! They provided an amazing crew as well as administrative support throughout the process. We are thankful and completely thrilled with the end product. Today, they arrived as scheduled and replaced two trees that unfortunately didn t make it on the first planting. MetroGreenscape is a very busy landscape company and for good reason. For projects, be sure to plan ahead and get on their schedule well in advance. Once they get started the process goes very smoothly and quickly. They do beautiful work from design to install. My project manager for the install was Joe DeBetta. He and his crew are fantastic to work with: provide updates every step of the way, always responsive to calls/texts, provided a tutorial on the new irrigation system controls, made sure the work area was cleaned up before leaving for the day, etc. Definitely recommend this group for any landscaping projects or monthly maintenance!

Metro Greenscapes maintenance program is exactly what we were looking for. Instead of spending my entire weekend taking care of the lawn, Seans crew comes every week and mows, removes leaves, prunes, and even takes care of irrigation. I couldnt ask for better results.

We had MetroGreenscapes in to renovate an area of our backyard that used to house a swing set for our children. They helped us rethink that area and designed a beautiful fire pit patio for us. They also helped us to design and clean-up the area behind our existing pool. David Foley was great to work with in the design process. He listened to what we wanted, gave his opinion when needed and walked us through figuring out what we wanted and needed in our backyard. Once the project got started, Nick Young was key in assuring that all got done as planned. The subs used were not the most cooperative so having Nick on site daily was essential. Nick was always available, very professional, and not only addressed any concerns we had but took care of them all immediately. He was a pleasure to work with and we would certainly work with MetroGreenscapes again with Nick in charge of our project. The backyard looks amazing and we are very pleased with the final product.

We purchased our home last summer, and the front and back yard were both basically jungles when we moved in (see photos!). My husband and I spent months worth of weekends trying to tame the beast, but it felt like we were just barely scratching the surface. We managed to get everything cut back in the late fall, but we knew spring and summer were coming and it would be a jungle again soon if we didn t take action. I contacted MetroGreenscape after we were ghosted by another landscaping company, and Tina was incredibly responsive and got us set up with an appointment for Sean to come out. Sean was early to the appointment, professional, and man, he knows his stuff! We discussed working in phases as we have a lot of things we need help with to get our yard in shape, and they are completely happy to work with us on that which is awesome. Sean gave us a quote to clear the front, back, and side yard as well as install some drainage for an area in our front walk that floods when we get more than a sprinkle of rain. We were scheduled for about 2 weeks out. He and his employees came out here in the morning (on time!), and cleared our entire yard, sprayed to kill all of the ivy and weeds, laid pine straw, and installed the drain in ONE DAY! We are just amazed! Sean has been incredibly communicative with us before and after, offering ideas and advice for maintenance. It has been just a fantastic experience so far, and we are excited to keep working with Sean, Tina, and the folks at MetroGreenscape to get our yard in shape. I cant wait to see whats next! Sean and the workers at Metro Greenscape did a really great job on our front yard! We had a smaller job for them compared to a lot of what they do, but for my husband and me it was our first attempt at landscaping for our new house and this was a big deal for us. They were very responsive to my questions and they were able to complete the entire job in one day, which I was not expecting. I reached out to Metrogreenscapes for a paver patio extension. From scheduling the consultation, design, to the work actually getting done was seamless. Everyone was very professional, on time & responsive. On top of that...they did a FANTASTIC job on my patio. We had a few changes at the end of the job and they made it happen without any delays. It turned out way better I than I expected it to be. I would recommend them for patio & landscaping work with no hesitation!

Initially gave them five stars. They built a patio, did some drainage work and landscaping last December. All went ok until we had more rain. Still had drainage issues. Contacted them back and project manager looked it over and agreed it needed another drain. After that, nothing. No correspondence at all. I have left several emails but no one has contacted me back. Seems like now they have my payment, I am no longer a priority. Update: Todd contacted me and apologized for lack of communication. He came out to inspect area and agreed another drain basin needed. He is going to plan the work in the next couple weeks.

We had Metrogreenscape build a really impressive built in grill island, plant shrubs and put down new sod. ALL the work was exceptional! We are delighted. MetroGreenscape just completed a backyard overhaul for me, which included design of new paver patio/retaining wall/drainage, demo of existing deck, and implementation of both landscape and hardscape work. The team at MetroGreescape are great. When you pay for a project at your home you expect professionalism and these guys deliver. I had an area in my backyard that was unusable for years due to poor drainage and it was quite the eyesore. As I was already getting a pool installed, I thought this would be the perfect time to get that area completed as well. They delivered a great landscaping plan, worked with me on my budget, and delivered a high quality project. And when they left, you never knew they were there (no trash left on site, cleaned up the driveway, etc.) just like a pro should do. I would say I didnt get a good enough plan of what I wanted done. I wasnt greated,and just went right into what can I do for you. I think for 2000+ dollars I should not have been rushed or profiled. That has been my experience dealing with landscape companies in Charlotte. I have been through 7. I pay for the service That I hire for. Just dont understand why people want do the job correctly that you pay them to do. Maybe my yard is just not worth the time.

Our prior lawn care company was awful and gave us a tru-brown lawn. MetroGreenscape has helped us get our lawn back and taken excellent care of our plants too. They respond quickly to emails and requests for more information and have excellent customer service. I received a quote from David Foley via Metro Greenscape and was absolutely appalled at his customer service. I am an assistant to a busy woman and called to get clarification on the quote he provided as it was not clear to me. I think its perfectly reasonable to ask questions on a quote provided, especially when its for a large sum of money. He was incredibly rude to me and acted like it was ridiculous for me to ask questions as his quote was perfectly clear. Obviously it wasnt if I had to take the time to call and ask clarifying questions. Even if it was clear, good service is taking time to answer questions from a potential customer. Then when I spoke to MY client about how she was treated during the initial visit (which was a phone call) she said he rushed through the conversation and didnt even ask her any questions. Overall - terrible experience with this company and they lost our business. I tried to call them to give them this feedback over the phone but was unable to do so.

Finally!! A landscape company that not only shows up but does an amazing job! When we first contacted the team at Metro Greenscape it was obvious we werent dealing with an ordinary landscape company. They have always showed up on time and delivered exactly what they promised. I would highly recommend them for any landscaping or maintenance job you have!!

This review is for anyone like me, who decided on MetroGreenscape because they have the most reviews in the Charlotte area. (Short version, if youre not spending a boat load of money, youll have a hard time getting their attention.) I contacted them to clean out and put about 100 feet of stone borders around 300sq foot of garden, and to put down river rock.. with a matching tree ring. They told me it wasnt enough to meet their minimum job size, and shipped me off to a smaller outfit where they toss their scraps. That outfit didnt return my calls, so I got back in touch with MetroGreenscape and told them the people they punted me to didnt want my business either, and that Id be willing to increase my scope to meet or exceed their minimum job size. They agreed to send someone out, but said they were booked out two weeks (just to get a quote!). Ok, they have so many good reviews, right? I guess its worth it the wait. The guy showed up, and I gave a list of extras that Id consider to push things over their minimum job size. More plants put in, and more work in the back and side yards. He said hed get back to me with a quote, but wouldnt be able to start work for another 2 or 3 weeks at the earliest. So its been 6 weeks since I first contacted them, and they never did follow up with a quote (much less any work done). I even reminded them a week after the consultation... they acknowledged, but two weeks later.. nothing. Nice people.. not rude or anything. But Im wondering if their commanding lead in reviews gives them so much work that they can cherry pick the most profitable jobs. Im sure if they take the job, theyre great. But I added a lot of extra work in the consultation (was willing to spend $4000+) and it still wasnt enough to beg their attention. If what I wanted still didnt meet their minimum, nobody bothered to tell me that. I was told to expect a quote, which never came despite reminding them. I finally gave up and had the work completed by a smaller company (Powell Landscaping - I left a review for them as well). Try giving some smaller outfits a chance - theres some really good ones out there that will not take your business for granted.

I have been a customer for nearly three years. Sean has been very responsive to my requests and inquiries. The work crews that come each week do amazing work. The appearance of my lawn has been greatly enhanced by the weekly care provided. You certainly get what you pay for with MetroGreenscape. This year my fall landscape project is the best yet.

The weekly upkeep of my yard is done with great care and attention to detail. After a recent consultation about moving some plants and adding a drain to a very soggy area, the work was completed exactly as we discussed.

After getting numerous quotes for my pool and dream backyard, I discovered MetroGreenscape is the ONLY company in their market that charged a fee to come out for a consult AND a fee for design work. I ended up spending $190k with a competitor. Im about to spend another $30 - $40k on adding a swim-up bar and paver walkway and again, in getting several quotes. Here we are again, they are the only one of 6 companies that wants to charge a $99 fee for a consult & $125 per hr for design. Its kind of like dating... if youre rejected for your approach, not because you actually know the person. I do not know the company from personal experience, just the approach. Knowing they have the reputation of being the most expensive in town, it would be am easy obstacle to overcome if they got in the home amd showed their value and would someone. The margins they get, their up front fee could easily be absorbed in actual work costs, but theyd rather weed out tire kickers but instead it turns actual buyers like myself off.

Metro Greenscape is very good at their services. The crew is very professional and responsive to take care of my lawn every week. My lawn has too much weeds and in just few months they turned it around.

We had a patio and landscaping project completed over the summer months of 2020. MetroGreenscape was distinguishable in several categories. I am an architect and fully understand the importance of executing design. My wife and I sketched up the design of the project and presented that design to MetroGreenscape. From the moment they arrived on our property to initially review the project until the very end of construction there was always an awareness to the initial design of the project. They were very interested to carry through with exactly what the customer wanted. There are always many different ways of altering design with substitutions of materials and ultimately how the materials go together brings about many different options. We felt like they were an amazing quarterback of breaking the project down to the pieces and parts and how all of them come together to achieve the desired look and feel and budget. Their construction crew worked tirelessly through the hot summer months. The quality of the product was very good. The craftsmanship was also very good. This was a very successful project that has transformed the way we live in our house. The house now functions entirely different. We truly have added on an entirely new dimension to our home. The physical part of that is easy to understand but the mental part of that is a very special personal feeling that comes with living in a well crafted designed place. MetroGreenscape provided options for the landscape, drainage work we wanted done. The price was fair, we had gotten two other quotes. All were within 10%, but MetroGreenscape was the best. From the discussions with the sales manager, the project manager and the account representative.. it was clear this company values communication. They did not try to sell more than requested and they delivered on time and for the planned budget. The work crew arrived expecting a 3 day job. They worked two LONG days and completed the project early. The guys on the crew worked HARD and were able to make small adjustments as the work progressed to completion. They took the side of my yard that was used for... nothing except water drainage and turned it into a good looking rock path, with the drainage cleverly hidden. Now I can use that side of my house for egress from the back-yard. A great win-win for this project. I whole-heartedly recommend MetroGreenscape!
