Update: 5-15-24 - Used them again to do a massive clearing for a future building, stump removal, driveway and parking pad. The owners for this project were delighted with the friendless of the staff, and adherence to all the property rules at the estate, as well as their willingness to fulfill their wishes and changes as we went along. Im happy I hired them for this project. ----------------------- These guys took care of bringing me fill dirt when I did a new construction build, Good communication, gave a heads up when on the way and offer to spread it where we needed it. They also used some nice new equipment when we did grading. Looked like they knew what they were doing.

You re better off hiring a real established company. You will be told a date of completion that will get moved. Communication will be a struggle and the craftsmanship is a joke .. my hs has had to go back and correct several problems once this guy took our $40,000. Nails popping out, discolored mismatched fence hardware, buckling wood, mud left dumped in our driveway. I am a very reasonable person that understands thing come up. The lack of communicating and then producing slipshod work is unprofessional and shady. Never again.

Working with Alex was great and super easy! It was nice to find someone who communicated back so quickly and made the whole process incredibly easy. After he came out and took a look at my property, we were able to schedule a day that week for him and his team to come out. I was so pleasantly surprised, because I was expecting to have to wait a while, like Ive had to with other companies/services lately. Very satisfied and highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs!!

I recently contacted Alexs Lawnscape to obtain a quote on a small landscaping project for my front yard. Upon initially speaking with Alex the owner, he requested that I text photos of my yard as well as the desired project details. The positives are: 1. Alex presented as friendly over the phone and 2. He responded within a reasonable time period. The problem that I had with the owner is that I feel that there is a lack of integrity in business practices. After reviewing the pictures of my yard, I spoke with Alex a second time and he stated that he charged a $2000 minimum and asked if I was willing to pay that amount. Had he communicated this in the first conversation, I would have stopped at that point. In turn, I asked Alex if he thought that my project amounted to $2000 with it being such a small undertaking, and his reply was Yes. I thought to myself...Really?! Are you kidding me?! I had received two previous quotes this week in person with actual measurements and although they were not cheap, they were no where near as outrageous as this quote. Had I been gullible enough to pay such an astronomical amount for my small project, Alex in good conscience would have completed the work while knowingly overcharging me. This in my opinion is not an example of sound business ethics. I know that companies are in business to make profit, and l dont expect anyone to work for peanuts. I just dont believe that cheating customers or potential customers is a justifiable means for profit. In Response to the Reply Left from Alexs Lawnscape: Alex, Yes, we did speak on Wednesday and there was no required day established for me to send photos for an estimate, so please dont try to use that to discredit the overall truth of the matter. I understood you clearly when we spoke on Saturday as well as other people who were in the room with me at the time of our brief conversation and you never asked me about whether or not I had additional work to meet your $2000 minimum. Your confabulated response solidifies the necessity of my review and my conclusion regarding your non integrous business practices. You could have clarified on Wednesday when we spoke that you had a $2000 minimum and that would have been understood. I would have never sent any photos to begin with. When I asked you to be the judge of whether or not you thought my project was a $2000 one, that was a rhetorical question because I know that you knew it wasnt however your reply was Yes. I do not have to seek to cause damage to your business. If you continue with your current practice, you will cause damage to yourself. Your business has been reviewed on other platforms with customers sharing similar experiences. I shared the truth regarding my customer experience. If it were possible I would rate you a 0 for your confabulated reply.

If you re considering hiring this guy read the whole thing. I contacted Alex about installing three Italian Cypress trees. He told me since it was such a small job he would have to charge me $1,000 to make it worth his while and that he would work me in in between jobs. A week went by and he never followed up to confirm anything. Fast forward a few weeks and he tells me he is able to get the trees but the price is now $1,700. The justification was that the job was going to take a full day and he couldn t tackle any other projects that day, so the price had to reflect that. We met at $1,600. The morning of the install he calls to inform me that the original nursery sold the trees to someone else and that he found them elsewhere but not all in the same size. So if we wanted these exact trees it would be an extra $100 since one of them was larger than the other two. Not ideal, but we agreed. The job was simple. Dig out and edge a mulch bed and install 3 trees 3 feet apart to create a privacy wall against the fence. Apparently this wasn t clear when I explained it because the trees were spaced about 5 feet apart when I came out to check on the project. They then had to be dug up and moved, which was inconvenient for them since they were rushing to get to their next job. Even with the misunderstanding and essentially redoing the job twice over, Alex and his two-man crew were here less than two hours. Not a full day job at all, just a money grab for Alex, who is unethical and dishonest. Alex s team did not even dig a proper mulch bed, they simply pulled the grass away with a shovel. And they left our yard a complete mess mounds of wet clay, roots and grass inside the bed, and the grass outside of the bed trampled. I had to buy top soil for the trees and more gravel to frame in the bed. After adding mulch myself it looks much better than the pictures, but the pictures are how they left the job. I complained to Alex about the bed and he came back four hours later to edge a clean line, but that s all it is, a line. We hired MetroGreenscape for the landscaping in our front yard and they are significantly better at their craft. They also provided plant care instructions, water schedules by season, and warranty information for their work. On the latter, Alex told me that the plants were covered should something go wrong but that we would be responsible for the labor. I have reached out to Alex four times to get the warranty information and he has completely ignored me, I suspect because he knows the trees were not properly installed and may not survive. Alex is fine though he got his money and is on to the next job. Alex will tell you that the bed was crispy clean before the trees had to be moved, that in digging new holes they encountered a large log that had to be removed from the area. However, if they actually took the time to dig a proper bed in the first place, that log would have been discovered before they brought the trees into the area. There really isn t a narrative that justifies the end product. Just look at the pictures and ask yourself if Alex s work reflects the $1,700 price tag.

My husband and I met Alex after our original contractor fell through. I am so glad we did We had planned a huge job for our home which included: French drains, a paver walkway, retaining wall and leveling/grading our back yard. Alex and his team did an excellent job and communicated to us throughout the entire process. They made the entire process seamless. His crew arrived each day on time and worked until the end of each shift. The work was done so beautiful and professionally, I have received so many compliments from our neighbors. When the job was over, they left the work area spotless. I would highly recommend Alex and will reach out to him, for future projects.
