Neil came out today to treat my lawn. He explained to me about the insects in my lawn and fertilized and treated for weeds. He also told me how to attempt to get the grass to grow in the bare spots. If I don t see improvement in 2 weeks to call and he ll come back. I appreciate the time he took to speak with me.

I took better care of my yard than fairway lawns. Last straw last service they burnt my lawn by over fertilizing. I did not pay for that last service as result. Tried reasoning with them, call after call with phone operators and no resolve. Would never recommend anyone to this company. Lawn is still not right.

Have used their services fkr 2 years now. Lawn is thick green. Only a few weeds but they are tough ones. Definitely less than last year. This year starting from the first treatment with preeminent nd everything else there has been a significant change for the better. Would definitely recommend

No one came out to evaluate our property to actually explain what services we needed. What was explained by the phone sales person was not done. The technician just walks right into the back yard through a privacy gate without knocking to let us know he was there to apply a treatment, but instead he just open our back door to let our dogs in. At no time was I informed of a time the technician would arrive. I was charged 123.5o for a quick 5 min spaying to kill weeds and insects. We explained to the sales person that we had mole crickets and poor soil conditions. Again no representative came to do an analysis of our property

They showed up today and did Sup Soil or aeration type of service that was ordered last year as an additional service to the basic yearly treatment service. I called, and they explained sine I had that last year they decided to do it this year. It renewed year to year blah blah blah. The thing is how does something renew that was not part of the original contract agreement? It was an additional service ordered at my request last year. Makes no sense. Buyer beware. Learned my lesson..

Their service is monthly and they do a good job. The only bad thing I can say to s they broke the hinges on my wood gate because they would push the gate instead of pulling. Yes it was obvious which way it went. Handle on the outside with latch.

I was paying an extra $25 for the additional Sq footage treatment, but they stopped treating that extra area(not sure how many treatments were skipped, but 2 were confirmed). When I confronted the manager about it, he was very nonchalant about it. After pressing the issue, he agreed to refund my last treatment. That was months ago and I still have not received my refund.

I dont have service with fairway lawns. I looked up from my living room to see a fairway lawns employee spraying my yard...with my gate open and my pets outside. No one knocked on my door, and again, I do NOT have service with them. They had the wrong address, it happens, but confirming an appt, and at least knocking on a door before you start opening gates and entering a property should certainly be step one.

I had this company providing routine lawn treatment. I notice the treatments were not working after about year. I called the company to advise of the situation and they sent someone out to access. They charged me for coming out and did nothing to fix my concerns. I will not use this company again. Very dissatisfied with the service.

I highly recommend Fairway Lawns in Charleston. Mark and his team do an outstanding job, and theyre always willing to give advice along the way to help your lawn look its best. Theyre always so nice and helpful. Five gold stars! Update (9/26/23): I no longer stand by this review. Fairway was over-treating our lawn and continually burned our grass and stressed it out. Our centipede lawn was green and lush right before they came to treat our lawn, and every time they treated it it turned red. Like blood red. I brought this to their attention several times and they gave me 8 different reasons why it was happening, none of which were their fault, naturally. I also noticed this same exact thing happening to all our neighbors lawns who were using Fairway. The lawns that were not treated by Fairway did not have this problem. Weve since switched companies and we could not be happier. Our lawn has completely turned around, and it only took a few months with our current company.

I been using Fairway Lawn for 2 years now and cant say how pleased I am. Most of my weeds are gone, I know you are not going get them all, and its looking good spring thru fall.

My yard looked better two years ago than it looks now with Fairway Lawns and that is why I got rid of them and will do work myself. I do not want to use a nation wide franchise any more.

Ever since Evergreen Lawncare was bought out by Fairway Lawns I ve had nothing but trouble with weeds and mole crickets in my yard despite the treatments I ve had done over the past few months. New weeds pop up after every treatment worse than ever before, forcing me to get on my knees and pulling them out by hand and mole cricket tunnels still visible in certain parts of the yard. This company is either a scam to force you to pay for weed control that doesn t actually control or prevent anything or the technician coming out to my house isn t doing their job.

I have been very pleased With Fairway lawn service. My lawn is looking better than ever! So many of the bare spots I have now filled in with beautiful green grass! Thank you very much for helping me out!

This is just the best lawn treatment ever, our lawn looks so great and it is so easy to order additional services. We have been using them for 3 years. I wouldn t use anybody else.

Responsive to my needs. Easy to work and communicate with.

First, this post is not an attack on the employees. This company is professional, responsive, they do perform free service calls and they show up when they are supposed to. The have provided additional product and reseeded areas of my yard. My sod was planted in September of 2018, and I managed it myself through July of 2021. All-in-all the grass looked pretty good when they took over, but I had a few areas of concern. They started servicing my yard in early August 2021 and had the yard looking pretty good going into the winter of 2021. However, I started experiencing MAJOR issues during the winter months, spring of 2022, and the early summer of 2022. My grass rotted and died in large areas. Through reseeding and natural summer growth, some spots started recovering during the summer of 2022, but there are still many bare spots, and I have every type of weed you can imagine. I contacted them in late August of 2022 with a picture and warned them this is the early stages of what starts to kill my grass. They treated it that week, but it isn t helping, and it is starting to spread in and kill the front yard (which has always been pretty good shape). I ve accepted all the recommendations they have gave, but it does not seem to be helping. To the best of my knowledge, they have not performed a soil test or leaf test to determine if it is disease, fungus, or insects. But something is killing the grass, and they have not been able to successfully prevent it. My only complaint on the service side it that they haven t seemed to take ownership of the problem. They will come apply a treatment if I call, but at some point I would think they would consistently monitor it, send it to labs, and be a bit more self-motivated to fix the problems. Today 9/22/2022, I m going to give them four stars for service, two for results, and average it at three. I will periodically update this review and my rating based on the condition of my grass. I m not trying to persuade anyone one way or another on this company, they are good people and professional, but unfortunately, then results in my yard are just not good.

Many times, I had to call to remind them to stop by my house to treat my lawn. I request them to let me know when they are stopping by, but never got the heads up. Negative

I have used Fairway Lawns for a couple of years now. Compared to the cost of my time and the use of products from big box home improvement stores, I have found Fairway Lawns to be more cost effective and targeted to our local areas array of climate, weeds, and soil conditions. My lawn looks good and I dont have to be a soil scientist with Fairway Lawns.

I like they always explain what type of lawn treatment they are putting down and what you can expect. I would prefer to know what day they are coming to ensure I m home in case I have any questions!

My 1 year old sod looked worse than if I did the maintenance myself. Not sure what they used but it was terrible. Local management was just as lacking. Terminated my service after the year.

They were very professional and knowledgeable and I could see the results in my lawn. I m very pleased.

Between the initial appriasal and yard techican they keep me informed on all the process they were doing and meet my expections

Very dissatisfied with this service. Our backyard looks worse than it did before they started treating it. They tried to blame it on the fact that we have a dog, but the areas of the lawn that look terrible arent the area where our dog typically goes. I would not recommend Fairway Lawns.

They said they came out and charged us but we were home and didn t see then service our lawn. My neighbor used them and didn t see them on ring camera servicing her lawn. I cancelled the service

I have used others through the years. By far the results have been better with Fairway Lawns.

Fairway has been treating our lawn for over a year now and we see a marked improvement and are very pleased.

I used this service for weed control and ants last year. I wasn t impressed but thought that my yard just needed time. Called them back this year. The first treatment for weeds didn t work. I called them and they were very nice and said someone else would come and retreat for weeds. I was impressed at how quickly they returned. Well now the bad! My front yard now had dead places all over. I called and told them to discontinue my service and why. She said ok. Not a word of apology or someone would come look. My yard is now the worse on my street. So disappointed!

I hired Fairway based on their visit to see the condition of my lawn and their sales pitch addressing my previous lawn care provider and how much better their service would be. I was only expecting weed control, fertilizer and grass nourishment. Fairway proceeded to attempt upsells in insect control, shrub/tree treatment, and other specialized services. But, weeds were getting worse and my lawn was suffering. I treated for insects every 2 months with Triazinine yet Fairway continued their campaign to upswell insect control. Then, one day after several days of heavy rain, they hauled their hose to my back yard and after 20 minutes were seen rolling the hose up, leaving a note on my door and leaving. Within days my grass, in the back yard only, started to die. The weeds took over, and subsequent pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control applications never controlled weeds or killed them after.

Their price is not that bad and I have noticed less weeds in my yard this summer. My grass is also greener and they will call to schedule an appt for them to come out. Overall this company has provided great service.

No issues here, the team has been very good about calling before arriving and lawn treatments have brought my lawn back from a bad situation.

Service and product has been great over the past 18 months. Yard is looking great and their fire ant/mole cricket treatment works great, got rid of the mole crickets before they became an issue and I have not seen any fire ants at all. Technicians are always willing to discuss any questions I have.

Fairway lawn kept coming out to my home and put down numerous amounts of fertilizer, insecticide and pest control on our lawn. The lawn still looks brown in front and has never look so bad. They do not know how to make my Bermuda grass green. My neighbors do not have the service and their grass looks great. For the place they charge they should refund me the amount that did not work Bob Bolton

I have been very fond of the work Fairway Lawns has done and I am satisfied with the way has progressed under their care. They have been great at giving 24 hour notice of arrival. I would suggest to them that when their technician arrives at a clients home, that they check in with the client. This way the client gets a chance to ask questions and point things out. It would allow the FL Technician and the client to create a relationship and loyalty to FLawns. Just a suggestion.

wont renew the contract with these guys, been using them for 6 months and lawn has not gotten any better weeks still growing in lawn. They also went 2 months without showing up because they were busy then tried to give me an excuse to feel bad for them. just bad all around, steer clear of this place.

I have been a customer for a year last summer grass was thick and green this summer 2021 grass never got thick or green I don t know what happened but something definitely changed but the price is still the same

Initially I was happy with fairway s service.. their formula got my weeds under control. That said however, they never communicate when/if they will be coming to treat the lawn. They simply show up at random and some times they don t show up at all. They certainly have room for improvement on communicating with customers and overall customer service.

They gave us a consultation in February and we hired them to treat our lawn. They were very knowledgeable about what types of grass we had and how to treat it. We were warned the lawn would look worse before it looked better, and after they killed the weeds, they were right. Several bare spots. However, come early May, healthy grass shoots were taking hold again in the bare spots and the crab grass was choked out. Now, we have strong Bermuda grass growing in places Ive struggled for years to get grass to grow. And because of their fire ant treatment, I havent been bitten by an ant all year; thats a first for my time living in Charleston. They are very professional and will discuss any issues with you immediately, and even meet with you during every visit if you wish to discuss lawn progress. Their service has definitely made our yardwork struggles a lot easier this year.

They like to double charge you on one treatment. I paid them twice for the same treatment. STAY AWAY. From them. Go back to Arkansas and stay there you need treat people fair. And I can prove they were paid. Dont come to South Carolina. Again stay away from them. They suck. I would give them a zero score.
