Responsible Pest Control always gives me a text at least 2 days in advance of their upcoming service. If I ever need to change the date, they make sure to get me in as close to the date as possible. Todd has been our tech for a long time now, and he always calls about 15-30 mins before arriving, so I can make sure my dogs are inside. The bugs have been kept at bay, and luckily, scorpions have as well. Todd is great at communication, and is now helping to combat a tree rat problem. He leaves detailed texts regarding how things are going, and I appreciate that I dont have to do anything but say Thanks!

I like having the same rep as they get to know my yard and the pest issues. I also don t need to instruct them each time they come as they know the pest issues.They show up on time, do their job and then move on to their next appt. Since they have been taking care of the yard, I dont have bugs in the house. No crickets, no roaches. no grasshoppers and no scorpians!

When we have had the rare scorpion or other critter in or around our house, they have come back to treat again as soon as they could. Keaton is our current technician and he has been great!! Fast and Friendly service!

We ve had 3 regular techs in the maybe 10+ yrs with Responsible. They ve all been great for us. Our first 2 we got to know pretty well. Michael, our 3rd regular tech is fine. I ve not had much interaction over the past year with him but we re not having pest issues, so it s all good. Update 10/24: This used to be a 5 star company. But after their last company takeover/acquire, it went down to a 1 star. I am writing this a year late. It started back around CoViD where the service went downhill gradually and then in 2023 just declined greatly. We are very schedule oriented and needed a firm consistent date to come out so we d have our gates unlocked. The day and week of the month kept changing. Why? The great consistent scheduling we d experienced for a decade was gone. Prices kept going up. I referred people because when they were a single owner, they cared about the customers. After asking for termite inspection, that sales person stood us up and never called to apologize nor reschedule. The manager never followed up. We finally had another company come out and treat for the termite issue we had. My husband and decided to cancel our monthly service and we shared with those we referred of our now consistently bad and inconsistent service for 2 yrs. We weren t difficult clients. The tech knew the treatment we wanted, and we paid promptly when we got emailed the bill. Apparently that s not enough to get good, professional treatment. The person that took my cancellation was blaisé. Then probably a week or so after, someone from Responsible called to see if they could win us back. Someone at some point gave us a tremendous offer which I no longer remember but I told them even if they gave us a year of free service, NO THANK YOU. If the service went downhill gradually paid promptly each month with good cash didn t give us good, reasonable client treatment, what would free service be? Spraying with water instead. Over probably 6+ months, we got harassed by them with multiple emails, lots of calls to come back. I wrote multiple emails to the district mgr Wes Briggs (I don t exactly recall the name and title) telling him in detail why we no longer wanted them to service our property. His emails were filled with grammatical and spelling errors. He never addressed my emails. Probably never read. Since I couldn t get them to stop communicating with me, I began blocking emails, texts, phone numbers from them. So if they re still sending stuff, I have no clue, but because of the blocks, I no longer hear from them. I also complained to the BBB, but Responsible was non responsive to the complaint. I was a good paying customer for over 10 yrs and this is how they treated me. You can check my Google reviews. I rarely give a bad review, but Responsible was so unreasonable and NOT responsible about how they now run their business. I would highly avoid this company. But if you do go with them, don t say I didn t warn you. Even when we had problems and expressed them 2 yrs before leaving, they failed most times to address minus one. When they raised our rates 2x in a year, I said that it wasn t right, so they did drop to the firmer rate. That was one time they listened.

**Update** After this review, the company called to say they would issue a refund, however they still have not followed through. I have attached the message as transcribed by Google. Very dishonest company. I was with the company for 6 years and decided to continue using them after a move. The sales rep told me that he could save me money if I went to bi-monthly service at my new address and I took him at his word and signed the contract. I was surprised that after paying for the initial service, I was billed again a couple weeks later when I assumed I wouldnt be billed until closer to the next service date. Apparently their bi-monthly service costs more than my previous monthly service did so I called to cancel and ask they refund the charge for the upcoming service Ill never receive. Thus far, they have refused and its very disappointing after being lied to by their sales team.

Todd has been to service our home many times and hes always reliable and on time. Hes patient with our curious dogs and does a thorough job, every single time. He always rings the bell to let us know hes there and never leaves the gate open which we appreciate!

Very disappointed, he was supposed to call 30 minutes ahead of arriving which never happened. Sprayed chemical all over our families shoes in the garage next to the entrance door of the home and told me it s safe a chemical, a chemical that kills scorpions and pest is safe REALLY! Didn t pull away the mats from the front entry and the back patio door and sprayed on top of the mats. 7 years that I have been with responsible first time ever technician has ever sprayed on the door mats. Didn t sweep the spider webs either like they normally do, over all very disappointed in Jelani s service.

Todd is always friendly, provides quality service and answers any questions I have and addresses concerns (specifically ants, 2 or 3 times I had ant trails in my yard and after Todds visits they are gone).

Service man came out sprayed and was very professional and informed me about insects. As soon as he sprayed, scorpions, started fleeing and dying, definitely spraying every month.

We had a pretty bad scorpion problem. Our daughter recommended Responsible Pest and Scorpion Control. We were extremely pleased at how thorough they are. In addition to eliminating our scorpions we found many dead bugs we had never noticed!

Do not buy a subscription service with Responsible Pest & Scorpion Control. I have called twice to cancel the monthly fees, and twice I was promised the subscription was canceled but I was charged anyway (still unresolved). This company did not solve our scorpion problem, either - what worked was taking out our agave plants where they were nesting via landscapers.

Great communications and no Scorpions !

Customer service has been top notch. The guys come out and listened to where my problem areas are and they took action. Still seeing some resudual pests, called and have them coming out for a second round. Easy to schedule and their product has reduced our pests drastically! My backyard looked like a scary nature show. Would recommend if needing to get some critters under control in your yard or garage.

Appointments with Responsible have historically be collaborated before showing up but recently something has changed so the inside of my house hasnt been getting sprayed resulting in alive bugs appearing more often in our house. We have had responsible pest control service our home since 2013, way before they were bought out by a bigger conglomerate, CERTUS. They used to be a local mom and pop kind of business, with excellent service. They used premium products, which were mostly harmless to humans and pets. As it happens to every well run small-business, their growth did not go un-noticed and were eventually bought out by bigger corporate people in the residential pest control business. We were initially very hesitant after hearing this change and were looking in to the probability of changing vendors. We wanted local Az people who knew about the climate, environment, and harsh Az landscape. We were also not happy that our monthly price got exponentially more. One thing eventually did remain the same, were our service technicians. We used to know them by their first name and were genuinely friendly folks. So in spite of the changes in price we decided to continue with the new set-up. One of the reason which prompted me to write this long review was the excellent service provided by Daniel (service tech) this past week. It had just been couple of days since he had come and sprayed for scorpions. Two days after this, my kid saw a huge bark scorpion in her bathroom. We have never had scorpions inside the home before this. I called up Daniel, late in the afternoon, and even though he was done with the shift for that day, he decided to drive up to our place to treat the location, as he genuinely cared for the well-being of my family. He came promptly and treated the space and ironically got rid of the scorpion which had made its way inside. This kind of customer service, in this present day, which goes well beyond what is expected, really needs to be appreciated and commended. I thank Daniel for his superior customer service and prompt helpful nature. So even though I may not agree to some views of the bigger corporate structure of the company, I would still use them for their hard-working sincere technicians.

BEST company for scorpion control!

We had a strange type of bug around the front of the house and I like the fact that the representative did not attempt to know what it was and admitted that fact. HONESTY

They always let me know when they will be here. Polite and thorough technician!

We ve been using responsible pest control ever since we had a scorpion issue in Goodyear. They have been terrific. The original scorpion problem went away within a few months, once responsible pest control was on the job. We have since moved and continue to use responsible pest control at the house and have had no issues. The techs are wonderful. We really appreciate our current tech Jade who is amazing!

Great service!!

After years of being told scorpions cannot be killed, (just their food source can be) and then watching a scorpion crawl up on our couch with a newly walking baby in the house, we switched to Resposible after seeing a Facebook post of them making scorpions drop dead. Now we rarely see a scorpion. We have a lot more crickets (which is just fine) but I no longer worry as much about scorpions.

Our tech is pleasant and and easy to work with. He is thorough treating both indoor and outdoor areas. He always arrives within the time frame expected. He is the best.
