A serious WOW! Craig, Christian and the crew were professional, efficient, and detail oriented. They transformed my heat-battered yard front and back. New irrigation, lighting and climate appropriate plants plus fine tuning of some other existing decorative elements made the outcome exceed my already high expectations. We hired Craig and his team to redo our front and backyard landscaping and to add some hardscaping and we are so happy with the result! He was very communicative and has so much knowledge with all things landscaping. They showed up on time every day and the entire team are incredibly hard workers. We can’t say enough good things about Craig, Christian and AZNativeScapes. Our front yard was mostly patchy grass. They demoed the yard and then added a beautiful curved paver pathway to our backyard. It’s perfect. Christian is a true artist. They put in all new plumbing, two pretty hills, 27 plants, a tree and carefully surrounded them with landscape rock. Craig even went with us to pick out the rock, so we’d know which ones to stay away from. Both Craig and Christian listen to what you want, from the big picture to small details and they make it happen. At the end of each day, Christian and his team put all their equipment neatly away and clean up the whole area. The crew is friendly, courteous, respectful and they work well together. Their work is impeccable. We appreciated the morning meeting with Craig each day, just so we’d know what would be happening and could give our input. We were also blown away by the countless little improvements Craig and Christian made beyond the scope of the project, at no charge. They simple do high quality work. We will absolutely use them again. Too bad I can’t give them a 10!
Craig, Christian and the team went above and beyond to make our back yard become exactly what we wanted and then some!!! I cannot say enough good about my whole experience with this Landscaping company! They are absolutely outstanding and do outstanding work so not only will we be hiring them for future projects but I look forward to having them do the work for our future projects and wish I could bring them back to our summer home in Minnesota! I asked Craig to build an oversized bbq island with finishes that match some of the existing hardscape surfaces in my yard. He and his team, led by his foreman Christian, really delivered. Matching the existing stone facing turned out to be much more difficult and time consuming than anticipated. When a shipment arrived that did not meet any of our expectations based on the sample provided, Craig took care of the issue. He worked with the supplier to return the product and then ordered a much closer match. He kept me closely updated throughout the process as well. This is part of what separates Craig and his team from others. It would have been convenient and faster for him to simply install the product that initially arrived but he took the time and effort to find a closer match and deliver an exceptional end product. His foreman Christian is also as skilled as they come and is very detail oriented. I highly recommend Craig and his team for any of your hardscape needs.
The AZ Native Scapes team just finished replacing our irrigation system, removing old/dead plants and installing about 20 new plants (mix of cactus, bougainvilleas, birds of paradise, sage brush, agaves and lantana plus a citrus tree). We could not be happier with the outcome! The owner, Craig Rawlings, was personally engaged with our project — he continually communicated with us (texts, calls, on-site visits) regarding timelines and objectives for each day. Craig was very generous sharing his years of knowledge regarding how to grow and maintain a beautiful landscape (e.g., plant varieties and placement, watering schedules, fertilizing, pruning). He was passionate about ensuring we’d love the results…and we DO! His on-site team, led by Christian, were hard workers, meticulous and also committed to ensuring we loved the outcome. Christian and the team flexed to help us with several additional items — exposing and cutting a Mesquite tree root that had grown under and cracked our cement/cinder block wall, replacing a failed step light by our pool, and trimming (rescuing) a Desert Willow tree that we’d allow to grow out of control. To top things off, Christian and the team raked and sprayed down our granite top cover after completing the irrigation system replacement and redistributed rock throughout our yard to cover several minimally covered areas! We’ve owned our home for 12 years — our landscape has never looked as good as it does now! Craig has the recipe for delivering highest quality results for your landscaping needs. My back yard was full of jagged gravel and it was very unpleasant to walk on. My idea for the area is flagstones with drought tolerant plants in between. Craig and his crew made my vision came true! (I am now growing ice plants and myoporum between these flagstones so we shall see how they do this summer!) Craig was very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process - from selecting the right color flagstones to accommodating a tweak in the proposal. What I appreciate the most is Craig’s honest opinion if any part of my idea won’t work. I will definitely reach out to Craig and his team again for future projects! It has been a pleasant experience.
AZNativeScapes / Craig and Christian totally reworked our front yard from an old weed lawn of the 1990's to a beautiful low water landscape. The artistry and knowledge of plants to use was astounding and totally professional. No question, the best looking yard in the area! Communication was excellent, meeting at every point in the project for consultation. We liked the job so much, we had them back a year later to redo the back yard as well. Both front and back included lighting and updated irrigation. Highly recommended!!

What went well is the question here: EVERYTHING! We ve known Craig, the owner and Christian, the supervisor and Craig s right hand man, for over 7ish years. They created our first front and back yard. Then we had to move from that lovely oasis they created and we called Craig, Craig!! We need help! Our new home had been neglected: palm trees dead and dying, about 18 leaks in irrigation system, turf that hadn t been laid right and many empty spots all over where the last owners had pulled out plants and left holes and piping sticking up! And we are semi-professional bird watchers. . Our yard had nothing to attract birds; turf and barely there rocks. Can you say, boring, blank, scary Say hello to all these prison like block walls that AZ seemingly loves?? Ugh! Craig, Christian and 2-3 workers were as always PROFESSIONALS! You can call me OCD, and I won t argue. Every single thing you can ask for, they do! Every single rock was in place ( I m not exaggerating, I caught someone moving two little river rocks!). After talking with you to help your vision, my husband went with Craig to the nursery having fun picking out plants and trees together. Don t worry, Craig teaches you what plants are hardy and withstand the heat ( Heat, seriously? No Way!!) He has always guided us in how and when to water, prune and fertilize for every season, because let s face it , just about every one of us needs guidance; this heat is brutal, the monsoons look like they ve left us and the dirt is bone dry. Craig texts you a week later to see if all is well and then one month later he comes to look at everything to be sure you re still loving your new green paradise. You know, I could tell you all about everything they did, new irrigation for front and back, rocks too, mounds for contrast, plants and trees up the whazoo,, but everyone s projects are different. I think I should tell you about the amazing AZ landscapers ( and creators) These men work tirelessly, not once did we see anyone on their phones! EVERYTHING they do is carried out like it was their own yard! Perfection, PERFECTION! And Craig and Christian are a step away if you have a question or a concern. They believe in making the yard of YOUR dreams. But listen, for the people who don t have a dream or hot desire but you just know SOMETHING has to be done on your yard, you re in good hands. Craig knows how to guide you and create for you. Speaking of working with you, Craig took every one of our 30 some plants and two trees and while still in their pots, laid them out in the yard where he thought we might like, then we had him move a few things around to eyeball it and decide what we liked best! There is a reason why we called Craig after 7 years again, because he created WITH us. He can help you even if you have no idea where to start. He is really knowledgeable about plants, rocks, irrigation systems ( they put a whole new system in) grass, turf, pavers, flag stones, river beds, upscale backyard grill or fireplace area etc. He knows all of the nurseries and has professional relationships with them. Craig has been doing this for 30 some years here! So he ll be honest with you about that one plant you really want but it s not going to survive, he ll tell you if something you re planning to do might not be beneficial to you. He s got a great sense of humor and is a joy to be around. Both times when the yards were finished I hated to see them go ( Craig always got a hug)! You CAN NOT find a better company with good prices to work magic in your yard! Well have I convinced you that Craig and his team at AZ Nativescapes is THE one to pick?? If not, then I don t know how much more I can say! LOL. But seriously guys, you can t go wrong to trust your yard with them! We ve made a friend for life with Craig and I ll never trust anyone else to create my yard. Call them right now. AZ NativeScapes Is a legit 5 star business, in fact if I could give 10 stars I would, because they deserve it! They recently built a small courtyard in my front yard and paved the front walk way and entrance area to the front door. First off, Craig, the owner is fantastic to work with. He is responsive, honest, fair and has a great vision for landscape design. His crew, led by Christian, is top notch. They arrive on time, work hard ALL day, meticulous about their work, courteous, and they clean up the area very well at the end of each day. I absolutely love my new courtyard and our neighbors keep saying Wow, that is beautiful - what company did this? Im happy to tell them AZ NativeScapes!!

So thankful for AZNativeScapes! Craigs communication skills were stellar! His crew was on top of everything and we were beyond blessed with the end result of our sprinkler system. Wow, hiring Craig and his crew was a great decision. We have a nice yard that was almost, just not quite, what we wanted it to be. Being new to AZ, we had an idea of what we wanted. Craig made it sing. His expertise in plant selection based on our sun exposure and time we wanted to spend maintaining the good looks (no time) was incredibly valuable. The hardscape work made our yard look three times the size and is at least that much more useful. His crew was extremely friendly and punctual. Craig was regularly on site making sure things were progressing. They were meticulous in the detail work and they left our home immaculate when they left. AZ Nativescapes is an easy recommendation and I d hire this crew again in a minute.
We bought a home in Sun Lakes and wanted to improve the yard and landscape. We contacted AZNativeScapes and Craig provided us with excellent design ideas at a reasonable price that included installation of artificial turf in both the front and back yards. He also helped us with selection of the turf as well as selection and placement of plants appropriate for the area. They installed new irrigation lines and their work in installing the turf, irrigation lines, and refreshing the rock was excellent. Christian did a great job overseeing the crew and they worked diligently and efficiently. I highly recommend AZNativeScapes.
Working with Craig and team was great! Mowing the lawn in the heat had me in a rush to convert to xeriscaping. Craig was responsive and easy to work with. I tend to have my own ideas and he was great about accommodating my way of doing things while also letting me know when my choice was the wrong idea. I had my front yard grass removed, yard leveled (it was much higher than the sidewalk), a large old tree removed (sad but had to be done), and new plants and tree put in, plus drip irrigation on a timer (I did have an existing timer sprinkler system). Pricing was reasonable and they were able to do this in 1 day! Christian is the foreman on Craigs team and so nice. Craig and I went to the nursery to pick plants which was fun. He helped me select low maintenance plants that would thrive, and kept me from buying things Id kill off. Then Christian and team planted them. A few weeks after, I noticed my piping into the sprinkler line was leaking a lot. Christian took a look at it, and while it wasnt really clear if it was due to the work done or just age of the pipes, they just took care of it. Great people to work with. Definitely recommend and will use again!
