This will be my second year with Turf Team and I couldn’t be happier. I got an instant quote online and signed up immediately. Turf team was out the same week and every week after with no problems. It’s like I had my very own lawn fairy. I almost forgot that a real person was cutting my grass because everything was so effortless. Then finally one day I had the pleasure of meeting Tony. Tony genuinely loves his job and cares about your lawn. My lawn has never looked better. Professionally done at a very resonable price!
ETA #2: They showed up the next week! After I fired them! OMG. I used this company for about 4 years. They are cheap and relatively reliable; however, I can't recommend them as they keep making mistakes and refusing to make up for them or learn from the experience. They weedwhacked one of my decorative landscaping plants a little over three weeks ago- the same week I put it in. I complained, they claimed it "looked like a weed" (it doesn't-- it's phlox, an obvious, common landscaping plant), and said they would replace it, but never did. Then this week they weedwhacked the phlox on the other side (which they'd missed the first time). This was the last straw. In the past they have also run over a hose and damaged my back fence by clipping it with a too-large mower. ETA: Oh, their response is such b.s. No record? If that's the case it's only because they didn't keep good records. Please see attached screenshots of our email conversations about phlox + fence damage, plus bonus photos of damaged plants. (The only one I don't have a record of is the hose damage - I had left it lying out so at the time I considered it my fault and didn't mention it- however now I realize it was part of a pattern of carelessness. They couldn't just pick it up?) The most aggravating part is how it's not even a good trimming job! He left huge chunks trailing over the stone wall! It's basically just a chunk taken out of the middle!
In summary, good lawn service product; poor communication. I had Mow Dayton for lawn care services for about a year and they did a pretty good job of servicing the lawn. However, I was surprised to get an email indicating that my account is no longer going to be serviced by Mow Dayton THE DAY which I expected my lawn to be serviced. That means my grass is nice and tall, ready to be mowed. I would've appreciated servicing the lawn just one more time, and then immediately notify me of this change; that way I have more time to find another service. They did provide me with some recommended service providers in the area. I also see on their website that they still apparently service Dayton and Vandalia, which is where I live (north side of Dayton)...Please update your website, or indicate what customers you're willing to take on, and what customers you are not. I know my lawn isn't the easiest to mow; and I wonder if this is the actual reason for them not servicing my account any longer. I'd understand if they wanted to charge an extra fee. They apologized in their email and seem genuinely sincere. However, Mow Dayton, in the future, please notify someone of this sort of change soon after a service has been provided. Therefore, go ahead with Mow Dayton for good lawn service; if they accept you. Yet, always have a second option ready, or go ahead with that second option instead...
I had bushes and trees removed, flowerbed clean up and fresh topsoil installed. Mow Dayton was reasonably priced and has excellent customer service. They are prompt in doing estimates, doing what they said they will do and keep their appointments. It's nice to actually have someone answer their phone when you call them or receive a returned call quickly. They even sent me pictures of the work as they worked on the project. I definitely will be using them again for additional work I need on my property. I like the pay on-line application as well. I highly recommend Mow Dayton.

Tony is just the best. I have been having Tony cut my yard for 3 years now and my yard has never looked better. I had always taken pride in mowing my yard to keep it looking good. I had hip issues, found Tony online and have never regretted it. He is a kind gentleman and I always look forward to Mondays. When the pandemic hit, Tony and his wife kept things going to take care of their customers. The trim job he does each week keeps looking so good, I have not needed any edging since. Thank you.

Tony had to make a hard decision last year to start fresh and began doing all of his clients yards himself due to a lack professional employees. I really respect his decision and we could definitely see a difference in the quality of work when Tony started doing it himself. We even got a beautiful card around the holidays from his family. This is clearly someone who takes pride in their business!

We have used them for a couple years now for grass cutting and have been very satisfied with their quality and service. They seldom miss their day (although last year was an exception at times due to COVID) or time unless backed up due to heavy rain. I would prefer a day closer to the weekend instead of midweek so the lawn looks best on weekends but I guess that is determined by some type of slotting. Overall, I would highly recommend them and their service. We also had them clean and mulch one time, and that went well. I did request another time and did not hear back, so they must have been very busy. It is a smaller operation so I think it is probably first come first serve on requests like that, they do the best they can to fit people in, and it all depends on how the weather (and now COVID) cooperates and if you get into the schedule early enough.

So far unreliable.... no communication, and feel like lack of planning. You have known from the beginning, what issues there were. We discussed on phone and via-email/Internet. All I ask for is a date and time, be on time compete the task and move on to the next task.
Signed up for service based off the service areas on the website only to be later told I was out of their service area. Service areas need to be updated to reflect the actual areas for service.
The WORST lawn service I have worked with. Literally came out and cut half my grass then left. When we called to complain they told us we had to pay more money to get the other half cut. Con artist.

After observing for a year the lawn care service they provided to a neighbors property, in April 2017 I contracted with Mow Dayton for residential (front & back yard) lawn care service. My wife and I have been extremely pleased with the service provided by Mow Dayton. Tony and Kevin are professional, thorough, and personable in the service they provide and at a very reasonable price. Lawn cutting, edging (to include flower beds, fence lines, pool deck, patio, driveway & walkway), and clean up; their total service is first-class! I highly recommend the lawn care service of Mow Dayton.

They did a great job every time. I was pretty amazed at how fast they got in and out and completed the mowing each week. They have their system down with a team or 3 or 4 guys that get it done nicely. I never had any problem with spots of the yard not mowed. They have a guy with a weed wacker that goes around and does the detail work far better than I ever would have done. I would use them again if I have a house in their service area.
They did a good enough job and I was happy with them for their price, however, I have cancelled my service with them, and they still come mow the yard and then charge my card on file. They have been out to my house three times since I have cancelled and charged me for all three of them. They are a good price, but I would not suggest leaving a card on file with them, unless you want it charged repetitively after you are finished with their service.
Good company if you want BASIC services that the neighborhood kids could do. However, I would never hire them again. They do not pay attention to detail, make promises they do not deliver, then charge for incomplete services. When I spoke with the owner, she was dismissive, spoke over me, and refused to send a crew to complete the work they were charging me for. I dont trust any business that does not listen to its customers. The owner accused me of trying to get out of paying for services. I told her I would pay when the job was complete and she said I was already billed for the job and it was too late to complain about it! Really?!
Great company! I enjoyed them all summer. It was so convenient not to worry about the bill each week or my yard! I was a referral and will be referring them to many more.
