early season starter feeding on 3/3/2023 this was ridiculous as there still was snow on turf and ground was frozen so watering in was not feasible. in prior year this treatment was performed near end of March and proved effective. This service was a complete waste of time and money and I will remember for next season to have competing service providers to make bids on the job.

FitTurf has been doing our lawn fertilization, mite control, tree and shrub care and fall aerating and over-seeding for three years. They are reliable and consistent. Our yard is usually the greenest in the area hands down.

Front yard is not doing well and back yard is great!.. I think we need to not put herbicide on at every liquid fertilizer application. I think it stresses the grass but there are no weeds.

I use Fit Turf to spray for Bark Beetle and some moth that kills the evergreens at my house. Live on 5 acres and they spray about 1 acre near the house. Seems to be working and the price is reasonable considering what they have to do.

Started using their services in 2022. The treatments noticeably helped restore our lawn during the drought. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They show up on time and do what they promise to do. I find their lawn care plans and pricing reasonable.

Darryl Hightower was my Application Technician that came out and was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful with all of my questions and application. This has been my overall experience with every technician that has come out and they have always been will to go above and beyond with information to help me get my lawn right.

Vito was fabulous! He made sure he got the job (aeration) done and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy! I really appreciated the professionalism, promptness, and friendliness of Vito and another gentleman that came to assist him when it was a two person job to get the aeration machine down to my backyard. I didn t know this company automatically enrolls and renews your subscription. I asked them to stop and refused service twice. They cancelled the first bill but want me to pay the second bill. Really stop means stop. They now are going to take me to court. Dont use them. This is the first bill I have refused to pay in thirty years. Going to court over this one!

Had them come out to spray for bugs destroying my grass. that part went ok. The service guy tried scheduling me for several more services. I said no thanks. I get an email a couple month later saying Im scheduled for all those other services totaling thousands of dollar. I called and explained that their service guy made a mistake. They said they cancelled. A few months later...they showed up today to do the work. Is this really the way you do business. I will never use them again. This is a low key scam. Service guys are aggressive salespeople. EDIT: I appreciate the manager calling me and explaining that they are under new ownership since I delt with them last year. From what they have told me last year was a mess and the new owner is trying to clean up that mess. I might use them again.

I would not use there service. I was quoted one thing and then quoted another. When I found out what the real cost was I told them no I did not want there service. They sent an email to confirm they where coming to spray (that no I did not read) a phone call should of been done not an email. They came and sprayed my fro y yard not my back yard after I told them no I did not want there service. They said they have a recording of me telling them yes. I did not sign a contract for there service. Now they are demanding $60 payment. I demanded the recording of me saying yes.

Spring lawn service scheduled. Knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The crew came out on April 4th to aerate. The ground was way too hard, and it was unsuccessful. I called at the beginning of June to see if they planned to come back out for a redo, and the manager said he would see if his crew could make it back out. The crew did come back out, and the aeration itself was great. However, one of my yearling trees was run into (huge chunk of bark hanging at the base of the tree), and two of my sprinkler heads in the back yard were damaged. The aeration crew left a note at the time of service notifying me of one of the damaged sprinkler heads, and the manager was out the next day to repair the damaged sprinkler heads. I opted to repair the sprinklers on my own. Im uncertain if Ill give them another call next year.

Super disappointed. our yard does not look any better after a few months, in fact it looks worse, then they killed my flowers after insisting we needed a fungicide and got it on the flowers. they were supposed to come out to look and didnt and didnt follow up. I called a few days later they never called back. I called back 2 days after that and spoke to manager and he said hed come out the next day and never showed up and never called. HUGE waste of money and horrible lack of follow through. - update today after a week of not showing up they showed up today but too little too late. we have already got rid of the flowers when they didnt show up on time and layed new fertilizer.

This company takes advantage of the elderly. We have requested to cancel services because first of all the treatmens they applied didnt work yet they continued to apply and then bill even after the grass was obviously dead. I have submitted cancelation requests both verbally and in writing several times yet they continue to bill and harrass for payment. They have yet to furnish proof of agreement but states the contracts auto renew and that the agreement is still valid from 2018-2019. They said I can call in an listen to a recorded verbal authorization but God knows when that was from. I have since had the lawn replaced but am getting emails saying they recently did an applicationwhich is a lie because none of the cameras on the property show them applying anything or even being on the property suring the dates they claim for that matter. I also mentioned to them in writing that I would press trespassing charges if they came to the property, yet they continue to email about recent applications! Its not a big balance and I could pay it but I wont because FitTurf is a dishonest company that takes advantage of seniors and continues to harrass them daily. Shame on FitTurf and from what I can see, other customers are dissatisfied with their services as well. Do better FitTurf!!!

My wonderful neighbor highered these clowns to remove bushes in between our yards and they said they dont touch things that is not theirs like flowerpots but they can lean on cars with there buttons scratching the paint dont hire this company unless you dont like your neighbors

I contacted fitturf to treat fungus that was spreading in my yard. My yard looks much worse than when this started and I see no recommendations around obvious visual issues with the turf. When I called to report this issue I felt the customer service agent was just trying to give me a quick excuse to move on. I would not recommend them for any service based on my experience.

Fitturf also takes care of our trees and bushes. They are polite and on time. They always text before they come and leave details about the service provided. Would recommend them for sure.

Requested weed treatment and fertilizer. Never saw someone come and didn t notice a difference in my yard. Called the owner to check in, he said he d send someone else out and they never came (round 2). Completely disappointed.

Normally I only have liquid aeration done to my lawn. But this year I added pre-emergent and herbicide to my entire 700ft gravel driveway to prevent weeds and prairie grass from growing. My tech (David Wolfe) did a great job with the application and applied it exactly as we discussed. Great customer service and I am requesting he come back in 4 weeks to provide my second application.

Great service! Our technician ANDRE G was very professional and knowledgeable. A reminder always comes via email the day before service, which I really appreciate. Some of our trees took a beating with the hard freeze in Oct 2019 and he advised us how to help them recover. He was staying safe during this pandemic and wearing a mask. Very courteous as I got the dogs inside from our fenced area and he made sure the gates were closed when he left - great job. A detailed slip and invoice was left on the door with the details of his visit.

Fit turf is an wonderful service. i switched from my previous service of almost 12 years and have seen much better grass, far fewer weeds, and a much wider variety of services. The technicians , Larry for my trees, and Andre for my lawn, are so knowledgeable and and kind. Alex has also come out and trimmed my trees, separately from company services. I definitely recommend this company for any lawn or tree services you might need.

Approved services for amount of $275, but they charged my credit card more than $300. So I stopped them from charging my credit card, but they keep sending bills forever.

The rate is good, but you get what you pay for. I specifically hired them to take care of my crab grass issue. The first treatment did nothing to slightly damage the crab grass. I had to wait over two weeks for them to for sure know the crab grass wasn t dying off. Then they came back out and treated most of the crab grass (this time it worked). However they didn t spray the one side of my property (either time) for the crab grass. So I called back in, and they said my next service appointment was coming up, so they d treat it then, which would be in the next 3-5 business days. That timeframe came and went. I called in, and lo and behold nothing was scheduled. I ll also add that, yes, the treatment took care of dandelions, but didn t get any other weeds, including the crab grass.

Last year, we hired Fit Turf to treat a couple trees for Fire Blight. They promptly came out and provided the service and pointed out that an Aspen would likely need an iron treatment soon, which I asked them to take care of. That was it, no mention of any agreement with Fit turf for additional services. This year, they decided to auto renew the service from last year. They do this by sending a few emails and letters mentioning renewing service. Never does anyone pickup the phone to ensure youre aware of being auto renewed, or that you still own the house. We came back from a vacation to find a $300 bill on our door for services we were unaware being scheduled. Finally, when they discovered our card was expired, someone decided to pickup the phone to ask for an updated payment method. IMO, these are very shady business practices and I would never recommend providing this company with your CC info.

This company has issues with delivering and or explaining its services (what is included). Fit Turf s ability to rectify a dissatisfied customer is poor in my experience. What has been agreed upon per phone or in person with staff was not delivered. So, their solution was to part ways. They not only lost this customer but in no way could I recommend them for anything.

Fit turf showed up 14 months after service had been cancelled out of the blue and left a bill. When I contacted them about the mistake they offered to refund me half the amount. How kind of them to only charge me half for the mistake they made. Laughable. Avoid them if at all possible. I should have read more reviews before I signed up in the first place

Have developed Necrotic Ring in my backyard. Fit Turf never addressed the issue, or recommended that anything needed to be done. Just kept pouring more fertilizer to the yard. I cant say that they dont care, its more that they dont seem to know what they are doing. Called to cancel service and the CSR on the phone didnt care. When i asked about my problem she just said, oh thats expensive to treat. So I cancelled my service after 3 years and they didnt seem to care about that either. They seem to be OK if you just need fertilizer, but be careful if you have a real problem. Have since found out that Necrotic Ring is caused by over fertilization. Thanks again to this company for the careless effort. Go to tagawa gardens. They are knowledgable, Fit Turf not so much.

I am unhappy with Fit Turf . I called a month ago to tell them. That I was moving out of state. They thanked me and told me that they would cancel my service. Instead, a week later they sent a team to treat my yard and charged me the normal fee. Very simply, after several years with another lawn maintenance company we were dissatisfied with the appearance of our grass. We switched to FitTurf last spring and our lawn did a 180 degree turn for the better. It is now one of the best looking lawns in our neighborhood.

This company is a complete scam, the sales people lie especially Ryan and they charge you even when you dont want the service.. why do you no longer want it? Well because they charge a fortune and the weeds NEVER DIE. The technician claims they are dead but they are green and 2-3 feet tall - even ridiculously hard to remove. What a joke, dont fall for the lies - it will cost you.

I was convinced to change to this company by a very good sales person who was great throughout, this is the only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1. I literally had to beg them to come out to my house to apply things I had pre-paid for. They would tell me things like they were too busy. My lawn has more weeds than ever with Lawn dr or trugreen. They consistently call you to sell you other services and the last time they did, a person named Jay hung up on me because he only wanted to hear positive experiences (I had told him I didnt want anything new because I had to beg to get them out there). Please dont switch to this company people, I made the wrong decision, dont do it. At least not in the thornton area, others seem to have had better luck. They DO refund your money promptly however with no fights whatsoever. Im assuming they will say well why didnt you tell us about the weeds more. Shoot, I just wanted you to show up (one time they said they would show up and didnt). Again, the sales was good, ryan treated me very good I think. One time I even called and they even said the manager of my area was bad .... lol. Just dont do it Thornton people.

Service done to my lawn was fine nothing special. Billing is awful. They sent us three renewal emails for a total of 399.20. In the end they ended up charging us 477.05 and claimed they mailed a letter with this new renewal. After fighting with them we finally got a refund.

They called me about a special, I agreed to have them out. It took weeks for them to come out even though they said theyd be there the following Monday or Tuesday. After 3+ calls, they finally came out, didnt even let my wife know they were going in the backyard. Left a door hanger and went away. Then credit card got charged even more then what the price was agreed to. To top it all off, I said I didnt want any membership or commitment, and what do they do, send me a pre-pay bill for next years membership.

After seeing some reviews on how they charge for services that were not agreed upon, I found out first hand today. A guy fired up the truck and was ready to fertilize a clearly DEAD tree. It has cytospora and is obviously not healthy. He came to the door, rang once, fired up the truck and was going to fertilize it until I stopped him. I felt bad because I dont want to shoot the messenger but the guy smiled when I said I had not asked for any of this and that he got poor directions. His smile of commiseration spoke volumes for Fit Turf. I told him to have a go if he wanted but I will not be paying for what is clearly an attempt. So which is it? Unscrupulous company or really awful internal communication and customer service? Either way, not a good practice. Worse yet, I have a copy of the email I sent telling them NOT to come back last year when they tried then. I wrote the same on the invoice and the date when they tried to encourage me to have the same service performed again. Remember, the tree is DEAD. So here it is in black and white PLEASE feel free to fertilize my yard, plants, trees, whatever you wish for FREE. I will always be okay with that but your shady practice of just showing up meh doesnt work.

Dont use this company - theyre pulling one over on consumers by auto-renewing their services without a contract. The language on the invoice says For your convenience, service continues from season to season. After a technician arrived at our door about an application, we said that we didnt want the service or to use them in 2016. Then 2 days later when we werent home, they came and performed another treatment. When I called to complain that we didnt order the service nor want to use them in 2016, they refused to correct the bill and said that we didnt cancel before the treatment. In addition, our lawn has never looked worse in the 2015 season. Constant weeds and complaints to them never resolved the issue.

I live in Sterling Hts. and I have nothing but praise for Fitturf. My husband is a true fanatic over the lawn, to his surprise it has never looked so good. We had put off removing a large tree due to cost for the past three years. After a year of Fitturf treatments the tree is back and beautiful. Now let me get to the mosquito treatments, our Hot Tub is surrounded by arborvitaes for privacy, so we couldnt sit in it after dusk without getting chewed alive by mosquitos. This spray really, really works, and is guaranteed. The first month you may need to call them back for an extra spray, but no worries its free of charge. So now we cant do without our Fitturf!

I started having Fit Turf take care of my lawn at the end of last summer. I had several dead spots and couldnt figure out what the problem was. Fit Turf came out, diagnosed the problem and had the lawn looking better before summer was over. This spring I decided to have them take care of the yard for the whole season. Already, I have the greenest yard on the block!

I have had Fit turf for about 5 years an they have never disappointed me. Very reliable people.

The products do what they say, only after you have to babysit them to do their job. If I wanted the part-time high school kid to come by and service my house I would have hired him, not pay good money for Fit Turfs flunky. They want payment for the work, even if the promised result is less than what they say. The daughter of the owner is running the business at this location, and she needs at least a Business 101 class. Auto-billing and payment services are difficult through web-site and resolution to issues is even worst. Customer service is non-existent, and forget about having a intelligent conversation with someone in the office. My recommendation is to pay in full, get a receipt(which they say they can NOT provide, but they sure as heck can bill you) and chalk it up to a learning experience.

Very happy with this service. Dramatic difference between our lawn and the neighbor to the right who does not treat for weeds or anything else. On our side, no weeds just green green grass. On the neighbors side it is all dandelions and weeds. Fit Turfs service makes a positive difference! All you have to do is look & see the obvious difference between our FitTurf treated lawn and the no-care lawn of the Neighbors. It is quite a visual difference!

I used them to treat my ash for emerald Bohr and less than a year later, my tree is being attacked. Not to mention the sales guy who was very misguiding. Although they say hes no longer there because of that, I still wont use them because what I did spend to protect my tree was a waste! Very upset with this company.

Been with Fit Turf for over three years, great service and great guys. I have a stubborn lawn with more sand than soil, it needed lots of feeding and PH adjusting. Fit Turf jumped into the challenge and now my lawn is growing like crazy. Oh yeah hands down, your best and first choice for lawn care.

Fit turf did a great job helping restore my front lawn & always communicated with things that needed to be done to keep it growing due to the type of clay in my yard. They also offered services for pesticides which helped with the spider & centipede issue in the yard!

Apparently our yard has been hit with a fungus, unfortunately it happened shortly after liquid areation and fertilizer was applied. We may have wrongly assumed it was due to the applications. John came out, is sincere and knowledgeable. If his advice works Ill give a much higher review. More to come!

My lawn was in bad shape with weeds and bare spots. This is my 4th year with fit and my lawn looks great, no weeds and so much healthier. Service is always professional and as scheduled.

Fit Turf has been treating my lawn for quite a few years now. Great service for weed control. I did interrupt the service one year, thought it would be more convenient to have the lawn mowing service take care of all the lawn needs, but the weeds returned. So, I went back to Fit Turf for the weed control. They do a great job.

So disappointed....bought mosquito protection that was guaranteed to work, but it didnt and I called for another application after 15 days, but they wanted me to pay again. Im not going to pay for a second application if they cant prove that the first one will work! The salesman mislead me and Im sorry I fell for it.

The mosquitos were terrible this year. I couldnt control them on my own like I usually do. I didnt want our parties to turn into a bug spray perfume fest, so, I took a flyer and called Fitturf. It has been a month now since they sprayed, and I have not even seen a mosquito let alone been bit! It has performed beyond my wildest dreams! This place is a joke! When your lawn doesnt improve than they blame it on everything other than theyre product. They claim to have free service calls when you need them but when you call in they give you an attitude. I just spoke to a Supervisor named Aaron & he was horribley rude. Save your money & stick with Scotts fertilizer.

Im happy with their service. They keep the lawn green and the weeds away. Enough said.

The service is always reliable and as promised. Aeration covers the entire yard and is done with care. The feedings seem to work and give me lawn what it needs. My lawn looks great! Communication is sometimes a little weak but acceptable.

Theyve been doing all my lawn and weed needs for 2 years and I have been extremely happy with their service! Bart at the office is great to work with, and they have come through with all guarantees and have been quick to come out if I even spot a thistle or weed in my grass (within a day). Best pricing I found around as well!

Ive had a good experience with Fit Turf so far. Results have been quick, and I wish I had started working with Fit Turf a few years ago, instead of trying to resolve my lawn issues on my own.

I have only been working with Fit Turf for about 6 months. I hired them to address issue with my trees caused by the 2014 winter ( i thought I was going to lose my 25 ft pine tree). They provide great advice and treatment to my all my tress. There was a notification issue the first time they came out but was quickly resolved. They provide both e-mail and phone notification prior to entering my property. The billing has been accurate.

Beware, just received a bill for services that I did not ask for. We used this company in 2014 and apparently verbally agreed to a yearly contract and unless we contact them on a year to year basis they will supposedly automatically service your yard and bill you for it. We were never notified that they would be coming out and given the opportunity to deny service. Here is the kicker, we have had our yard torn up for the past 3 months with landscaping and concrete work. What did they spray???

We used Fit Turf this summer to address a crabgrass problem and by the end of the summer the crabgrass was under control. I usually apply my own fertilizer and Revive every 4 weeks at a cost of approximately $40 a month. With Fit Turf I paid $44 per application that was applied every 8 weeks for a savings of $36. Overall very satisfied with the whole process and the customer service was excellent!

The customer service at the Westminster location is a joke. Based on the lack of caring service alone this would be the last place on earth I would give my business to. On top of the horrible experience on the call they claimed they did a deep root feeding on the maple in my front yard....we dont even have a tree in the front yard! Super disappointed.

My grass has been deep rich emerald GREEN ALL SEASON. They did a great job keeping out ALL WEEDS AND GRUBS.

Not a good experience. Would recommend that you find another company to do mosquito control. They promised a lot and delivered virtually nothing. They were three weeks late on the initial treatment and wanted to do a treatment in October. They promised that we would not see a single bug and if we did they would come out immediately and take care of it. We saw many and they did not follow up on their promise. Their deliverable was terrible. It was a waste of money.

We bought our home as a short sale and the yard was in very poor condition. What little grass was present was nearly dead and the yard was infested with weeds. After a summer of reasonably priced treatments the weeds are gone and the grass is alive and well. When we have called they have been helpful and friendly with no sales gimmicks. I definitely recommend them.
