I called for a quote for mowing and trimming because the Google ad says they do it here, but after wasting 10 minutes my time I found out they dont do that in cedar falls. Dont waste you time calling

Their service was cancelled last year upon 2 Notifications as they kept calling. Arrived at my house last week to find a sign in the front yard that they went ahead and sprayed anyway. I called there customer service and they still tried to sell me the service. Eventually I told the woman I did not want them on the property if that was clear enough!

Dandelions were controlled pretty good. Crab grass not so good. Had some other types of weeds as well. This was the first year. Guessing it takes a few.

Liked what they were able to do with my lawn at our previous address so I hired them again at our new house.

HORRIBLE experience. Make sure you verify the work that was (allegedly) done! First time they came out, the tech didnt bother to verify the property lines and didnt touch a portion of the yard. I asked Customer Service to make a note on the account to verify the property lines either before the next visit or, while here, with me to make sure we got what we paid for. Second time the yard was done, the tech told me he didnt see notes about the property line, but personally assured me hed covered the yard. Yet 3 weeks later, the weeds he supposedly sprayed for are overrunning the yard. (Somehow on the first 2 visits, they were able to unload their gear, analyze the yard, load the proper chemicals, spray the entire 4500 sq ft yard, pack their stuff up, create a service ticket, put signs out, and put the service ticket on my door in well under 15 minutes.) Third time (today), we were supposed to have aeration and overseeding done. I watched on the security camera as the truck pulled up at 10:39 and was gone before 10:46. While it was here, I flipped back and forth between the front and back cameras several times and never saw a person get out of the truck. The neighbor across the street was out the whole time the truck was here. She said 2 kids were in the truck - the driver looked about 16, the passenger looked younger. The driver got out of the truck momentarily, kicked some stuff, got back in, and he and his partner proceeded to sit in the front seat dancing for about 5 minutes. They left no signs theyd done work and no report of the work that was done...but I got billed $250. Called Customer Service and demanded full refund and cancellation. Hard to argue video and photo evidence! Rep didnt seem bothered that their techs got caught cheating / stealing. Supposedly Ill have all my wasted money back in 7-10 business days. Well see...

I called, ordered an aeration of my lawn last fall. They had a salesman call, sold me a fertilizer application. I agreed to that as it was fairly priced and they were already there. EVERY SERVICE YOU SIGN UP FOR AUTO RENEWS YOU THE FOLLOWING YEAR. They came to my house yesterday while I was working and laid an application. Then sent me a bill. Terrible business practice as I have never personally agreed to any auto renew service. They will take your money unknowingly, and they do not care how you feel about it after the fact. I feel as though they robbed me without any consent to future services.

The most experienced specialist has about 2 years experience, everyone else is a year or less. Better off going with B & K or Royal Turf. Trugreen simply sucks. I used to manage the branch for 5 years.

What an awful company! I paid for weed and feed for a full year. Found out on my last service of the year they weren t doing my back yard which is 90% of what I paid for. Was actually home when they did my service so I have proof they were only doing half of my yard. Called in to let them know and the lady sent them back to do my back yard this time and gave me credit for next year for one service lol she said if the service guys see a gate they won t open it. Then why have I been paying for my backyard when they haven t been doing it. What a joke. Basically overcharged me $300 for zero service. Do NOT trust them and do NOT use them!

Their program seemed to work but prices grew so much it wasnt cost efficient not to do it myself. The straw that broke the camels back is they charged me for full service application (aeration) that was only a quarter completed due to saturation of most of my yard. When I called customer service they would only credit half my bill. When I ultimately contacted them to cancel my service (because they automatically continue the next season), two customer service representatives advised they had logged service to terminate but expect a sales call. I eventually received the sales call which was really just a follow up call with that representative stating service was still active and scheduled. It took me telling them to figure out how to cancel any scheduled services because they wouldnt get paid for it to finally have them understand/accept I was done with their service.

Not worth what you pay for it. Did full TruGreen service last year, they were ALWAYS trying to upsell me on another treatment for such and such (usually run between 59 and 89 extra). My yard regressed this year and I have made decision to do it myself. I prepaid for the whole year and Im not looking forward to cancelling service as I fear it will be much more difficult than signing up.

TruGreen came out and looked at the lawn including the weeds. They sprayed weed control with a little fertilizer and within 4 days I could see the weeds going away. Thank you so much. Cant wait to see how it looks after a few more applications.

Sales guy was more then happy to visit and try to sell me more services. However they ignored the fact that I still have weeds, and their current service isnt working.

Said they did my lawn treatment and didnt then the next guy out said he ran out of product. Now they keep calling about coming and spraying for bugs, ticks and mosquitoes. I got 3 calls in one day!!! Not that happy with the results either!!! After my contract is up i wont be renewing!!!

I spent 52 minutes this afternoon canceling our service contracts in Cedar Falls Iowa with 2 of our properties. We have had several treatments and the weeds are in full force. Even 2 different technicians said our lawn looked awful. We have made multiple calls for someone to come look at our lawn and help us figure out how to improve it. No one came out and the only calls we get are for offering us opportunities to spend more money. When I asked to be reimbursed for ineffective treatments, I was initially told that was not possible because they sprayed in good faith even though there were no results. I tried to work with them to resolve things and received no response other than an apology and a promise that a supervisor would call and come out. I am so frustrated with such awful customer service. They just want your money. Call someone else. I wish I could have given them zero stars....

Second year with Tru Green. They are very good at communicating with you at your home and via phone. They left a note telling me where my problem areas are at with my lawn and suggestions.

I just but this house 6months ago, I was so sad ,it was no grass, everything was very dry and some parts didnt have any grass, well thank you to TruGreen now my grass is healthy and beautiful.

I have been pleased with True Green for many years. I have met three of True Greens technicians over the years and they are very pleasant and helpful. They know their business.. Good job.

TruGreen helps me grow gorgeous flowers. Columbine going on three generations. My Grandmas, then my Moms, and now mine!

Do not sign up with this company. They give lots of promises and guarantees of the yard improving. My yard has gotten 10 times worse. Every time i call in they tell me they will send someone out and have them call me. Well they never called me back. Instead I had to catch one of the workers while they were there and ask him about it. He said he would try a new chemical and to give it another 10-14 days. My yard is now 98% weeds. Im not exaggerating. I have before and after pics of what theyve done to my yard. They were also supposed to replant the dead spots. They never did. I hired them in early spring so there was plenty of time to plant in the spring. I called and asked for a refund. They said the only person that could issue a refund was the general manager and that he would call me within 48 hours. 48 hours went by and I received no call. I called back and the rep told me she would email the GM and to respect a return call that day. I still didnt receive a call back. I called again the next day and the rep tried to conference in the GM. She told me the phone line didnt work and she couldnt reach him. After demanding to speak to a supervisor she gave me the corporate phone number. I called corporate and reached Mike. Mike told me to give him an hour and he would see what he could do. 3 hours later i still hadnt received a call back so I called in again. I was told Mike was on the line with someone else and he would call me back. Finally this time someone called me back. Mike called to tell me that he the GM has refused to refund me. And that i couldnt elevate the situation any further. I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Burueu and if need be will take this even further. This company is a joke and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Better put your $ in trash than hire true green. After 2 years of service, my lawn has more weeds and crabgrass than before. I wont let them on my lawn even if they give me free service. Pathetic.

We have been using TruGreen for years with great results. This year I think they just used water when they visited. Our yard looks like hell. Crabgrass everywhere and other weeds too. One person from TruGreen told me that they do not use anything to kill crabgrass and the next day when I called to cancel was told that they did indeed use something for crabgrass. I was offered a free application, but frankly it will take a lot more than one application to fix our lawn. I cancelled. The other reviewer was right when they stated: Better put your $ in trash than hire true (sic) green.

I wish I would have taken a picture of my yard before they started and after. There is absolutely no change in the weed to grass ratio. The aerated but did not put any seed and thought I was stupid enough not to notice. Total waste of money. Go with a local guy who cares about the quality of his service instead.

Its simple. Our lawn was looking tired. We had been TruGreen customers some years ago, allowed the contract to lapse, and after a few years the value of TruGreen was appreciated. Thats it. What TruGreen said they would do - they did! TruGreen staff representatives conduct themselves as competent lawn pros.

Your people always came on the day scheduled and performed the task. If I was home the specialist always made an effort to speak with me. My lawn always is the greenest in the neighborhood. Although the cost seems a bit high, I believe the results are just what I would expect.

The technician listened to my concerns and understood what I needed . The service was on time and the yard has really greened up and gotten thicker since the second application. No weeds, either.
