We have been using Newby s (or Big Tom s) pest control for years. They have helped us out with a major termite problem, moths in stored wool carpets, fruit trees and ant/wasp nest management. Today Hunter and Kevin found a large wasp nest in the mechanical compartment of our hot tub. They sprayed it and removed the nest for us. The company has been very responsive in tailoring service to our needs. They also have an annual program that is a prepay for the year with a resulting price break. Very good to work with and a long track record of service.

Skylar was very friendly and thorough with the spraying. However, I am coming back to change my review after a couple of months. Ive now had 2 sprays and I still have bugs and spiders. Also, the scheduling is very hard. You cant just call to make an appointment. You have to call them, and then wait for a few days for them to call you back and they just tell you the date and time theyve chosen. It would be nice if you could schedule at the time you make the initial call. Its a hassle, I wouldnt recommend them.

We bought a home that Big Toms Pest Control had previously come and taken care of the termites for the previous owners. We were not aware of that, or the termite issue until we were remodeling and found some evidence in the drywall and wood. The termites were gone due to the intervention of Big Toms Pest Control the prior year. Big Toms Pest Control came out and inspected the area, found the prior inspection and decided to extend the home warranty to us, the NEW owners. They didnt have to do that, but they saved us and our home and made sure that our new home was covered under a warranty for 10 years. I had been nearly devastated when finding the potential pest problem and then so grateful after our experience with Big Toms Pest Control. Braxton is the one that came out to inspect our home and he knew what he was doing and worked hard to help us be able to be in a pest free home! Thank you! We had our fruit trees sprayed with dormant oil and fungicide. This treatment has been very effective in helping maintain our trees health. Hunter was our technician, he arrived within our scheduled time frame, upon his arrival we did a quick walk through to specify the trees to be treated. Big Toms has been great for our AirBnb business! They put you on a schedule and automatically visit each month. Since we have signed on with them, we have had hardly any spiders and cobwebs in our cabin. If the cabin is booked, they work outside and are careful not to disturb the guests. If there is a question or issue, they respond to emails within an hour. I couldnt ask for a better partner for our business.

They came and spayed my house inside and out that s safe for my 2 babies and pet outside. They were so nice & worked outside and removed a wasp nest on my roof I didn t even know I had. &Mommy kids were napping but I wanted their rooms sprayed to protect them & they were so quiet and fast and efficient to still get the job done. WASTE OF MONEY!! I hired them because I ve had mice in my house. They came and set up 2 traps. They would come check the traps once a week for 4 weeks. They didn t catch any mice in the one trap. They caught 3-4 in the other. I paid them $300 and still have mice in my house. If I knew they were just going to set up 2 traps and do nothing else I would have saved my money and bought some mouse traps from Walmart. DON T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Big Toms is the best! They spray my cabin at Panguitch Lake and my personal home. They keep all the creepy stuff out of both homes. They have wonderful employees from their office staff to their guys in the field.

My complaint is mostly about the office lady. She doesnt seem to know what shes talking about, and is not very personable at all. I finally got so annoyed with her calling like weve never spoken before, not comprehending my schedule, or willing to think outside the box. I asked her to stop calling me and remove my name from their customer list. Guess what - She keeps calling me! How do I complain about the person answering the phone? I guess a google review. Im fed up and found a very friendly start up that understand outside the box thinking.

Friendly at first, but the service was the worst. Had three servicemen out, each worse than before. Then when I talked to upper management, I was promised an extensive personal service on the problem area, but when he was unable to come, he sent another flunkey who did an even worse job than the first two guys! The whole thing was just a joke. Then upper management just refused to call me back, saying I was given the service I paid for. Right. I still have bugs all over my kitchen, more than before. But do they stand behind their work? NO! We gave you a service, we did our job, we came out three times, thats all we can do. For that we paid over $200 and for that we still have a major bug infestation. Thanks, Big Toms.

DO NOT USE BIG TOMS PEST CONTROL!!! We have had nothing but problems with them. The weed killer doesnt kill everything. If multiple trips are needed they will try to charge you more. If you live in Kanab their service is HORRIBLE. Difficultly with scheduling and most of the time they dont show up. Get your quotes in writing because they dont honor pricing their technicians give you when they do a home inspection. Pricing is outrageous! Service is lousy! Obviously, this is NOT a good company to do business with. Only reason why I gave them 1 star is their office staff are very nice on the phone. Otherwise they would get NO STARS!

Since day one with Big Toms Pest Control, my experience has far exceeded my expectations. The first day I called to get on their schedule, the person I chatted with about my concerns was incredibly friendly, professional and thorough. She got me all squared away right away with the earliest available appointment. So far I ve had three spider sprays from three different technicians and all three have been unbelievably thorough, professional and knowledgeable. They always take the time to hear my concerns and address them with the right treatment. They even go over what approaches they used to help address my biggest concerns. They truly are the experts! Spiders and other insects are no fun to deal with. I spent so much money using regular bug spray from the store but it wasnt cutting it. I am finally in way better hands and feel the issue is under control. I keep the other stuff on hand for intermittent insect issues but its nothing like it was before I connected with Big Toms! They would not honor the 50% discount for first time customer just because I couldnt find the coupon. I would not recommend them, especially due to their poor customer service. We had a bee problem . Explained issue sent a very nice guy who came gave estimate and sprayed. He also explained it would probable take another visit and told us a plan to call and schedule again on Monday if still an issue. I called right when they opened thought it would be great they sent same guy ( already knew issue ) he came about 6 that night only to go sit in the truck and come tell us they couldn t handle the job. Not upset they couldn t handle but should have told us on first visit or even when I called back on the day they instructed. Instead the came back out wasting more time just to say they couldn t do it. Nothing had changed from the first visit. Paid for no results. Smart pest control took on the job and was amazing.

I like that Big Toms sets the appointments automatically, so I dont have to remember when they last came. I am on a bi-monthly spraying and they call to remind me of the appointment beforehand.

I had Big Toms come last fall for a two-for-one spray. Id had problems with ants and spiders, but I have not had any problems since they sprayed. Im having them do another two-for-one spray to prevent bugs this summer, and I am again happy with their work. They have been very professional and thorough, spraying up high on the rain gutters, under the patio eves, and around the landscaping. Because of Covid 19, they did not do inside the house, but they offered to do inside the garage. I appreciated that, too.

I have been having Big Tom s take care of my monthly spraying, since moving to Cedar City, two years ago. The service they provide their clients is stellar. Colleen, in the office, handles appointments, and is exceptional. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Cayden, has been servicing my home and takes care of me like family. Their prices have been consistent and affordable, and the people whove come to spray have always been friendly and respectful. I want to give a thanks to our service guy today, *Caden*. He especially stood out for me with his friendly positive attitude! With the Covid restrictions, these days have been struggling. He was kind when giving encouragement to my 11 year old son about doing home school and making the best of it. As well as very helpful with our weed killing as well!! We had our second weed and bug treatment yesterday by Kevin. Our house backs on a golf course and huge lake. The water causes the back of our house to accumulate spider webs. He went above and beyond for our spider issues. Spent extra time on the back of the house sweeping down webs on the brick, lights and overhand ceilings and swept off the decking. Our spider web problems inside have dropped significantly since our first treatment. We have had many local bug companies spray, they took about 15 minutes and never had any results. The first weed treatment was a great success and look forward to a weed free property!! We highly recommend Big Toms for any weed or bugs issues!! Customer service is their number one service! We started using Big Tom s Pest control about four years ago and we love their services. At first it was only to spray for bugs but then, their tech Kevin, suggested we spray our fruit trees as well. Little did we know, we had a ton of aphids on our trees that were affecting the fruit. After getting them sprayed, we could see a layer of dead aphids on the ground and we had no idea that they were on our trees. We are so glad to have them sprayed because they have now been producing more and more fruit each year ever since. We re grateful for their knowledge, professionalism, and reliability. We can trust them to take care of the bugs and it gives us peace of mind that they will come throughout the year and spray at just the right time.

These guys got rid of our earwig infestation on the first visit, but made sure they were gone by coming back a second time! Professional knowledgeable and effective! I have not seen an earwig since!

I say wildlife because all bugs are wildlife to me and Im not at all wanting any wildlife to be inside my home. Big Toms is excellent. They are friendly, professional and respectful of my home. I recommend them!

Perfectly on time, they call ahead to confirm, Big Tom is always professional, courteous, thorough, and there are now no bugs in the house. They also took care of critters around our hot tub. We are very happy or in the garage. We are away for several months in the summer and the difference in our home is huge. The tech knows exactly what to do, their feedback is excellent, and the outcome is just fabulous. I highly recommend their service and we are renewing with enthusiasm!

I wanted to use a smaller company because I have had terrible experiences with big companies. Big Tom s was great! I told him what I wanted over the phone and he gave me a quote and that a great price. The next day another guy showed up asked me what I was having problems with and he sprayed the whole house and extra over the spots I told him about! Great service! Also, great with dogs and kids!

Got their card from a service member I saw at a gas station. Two weeks later I called them at 6 pm on a Friday because I woke up with a spider on my face the night before. They answered and got me in that night and were at my house within the hour. Very fast and affordable. Took care are the pest problem and the weed problem in my yard. Have to give 5 stars and would highly recommend!

I used Big Toms pest control for a couple years. I had had no idea about pest control and after i used them once they kept calling me to reschedule. The people were very nice, but my apple tree was always so infested with bugs that we never had any good apples. My garden was overtaken with bugs, and anytime one of my kids dropped food out on the comment, within an hour it was completely covered with ants!

I had a really bad bug problem on my front yard tree. It was causing my tree to leak (sap) all over the sidewalk. I was afraid that this would be a skipping hazard come winter so I called a tree trimmer who insisted I needed to get the bugs removed first. I called up Tom and he showed up in 30 minutes, sprayed my tree in 5 minutes and 10 minutes later it was raining bugs... yuck! But the sap is gone. Anyways, I highly recommend Big Toms Pest Control!

I totally enjoy Toms Pest Control I live in the country and my weeds around my home have totally disappeared, my grass is free from dandelions and is greener and thicker than ever before, also my horse pasture was thicker and longer enabling me to feed my horses longer on it. The insects inside and outside of my home were totally eliminated due to the continual program I elected to have. My home cleanliness overall has improved dramatically and I am so much happier.
