I received my estimate from Justin in a timely manner. The project manager, Matt, always kept us informed and answered questions when asked. Excellent communication all the way around. I originally hired another contractor to come out and re-lay the flagstone in my front walkway. This was a huge mistake, as you can see from the photos, the other contractor did a terrible job. The stones were uneven, not level on top, and a tripping hazard. I was told by the owner that nothing could be done except to give him more money to fix or buy all new stone. I called Matt from Just Landscaping who originally gave me an estimate but I went with the other guy. I explained the problem and instead of making my feel bad for using another company, Matt was so gracious and professional. He made time to come back out and look at the walkway that same day. He reassured me that it could be fixed with the existing stone and the previous contractor did not know what he was doing. Matt had Tonys team come out two days later and the problem was fixed as promised. Tony and his guys were on time, professional, and polite. Matt kept me updated on the progress via text and phone call the entire time and came back out when the work was done for a walk through to make sure we were happy with the result. They might not be the cheapest but Ive learned the hard way that going with a less expensive option only leads to more money and headache in the long run. Matt was also very helpful and offered his support in my battle with the previous contractor.

Sebastian and his crew Kevin and John did a great job on our massive spring clean up! We have a double lot and the weeds had exploded overnight with all of the rain. They restored this yard to its former weed-free self and manicured everything beautifully. After calling some other landscaping companies and getting ridiculous prices and bad solutions to our erosion issue, Justin and the crew at Just Landscaping came through for us. We initially met with Justin, the owner. Justin provided multiple solutions that actually made sense, broke down everything for us, and allowed us to ask the dumbest of questions. Justin s price was fair and there were no hidden fees - every single charge was broken down so that we knew what exactly we would be paying for. Justin was very professional and courteous. On the day of the work, Justin stopped by to prepare his crew and to check in with us to make sure we were aware of how the day would go. The crew was incredible! They worked hard, were very approachable, and constantly checked in with us to show us progress and to answer any questions we had as the day went on. The finished product looked, and still looks, great. We couldn t be happier with the work and overall customer service we got from Just Landscaping. We highly recommend using them!

I recently had a tree and some overgrown bushes removed from my back yard. The technicians did an awesome job and the end result looked beautiful! called for an estimate 6 days ago. said someone would be by next day then send me an email with the estimate. no one came. no email. oh and im only 10 minutes away! guess they dont need the business.

Edit to include Chris called me and straight up asked if it was me who posted this review. Highly unprofessional. A little appalled to be honest. Got an estimate to have a couple large bushes ripped up from my yard. Took a week for someone to come out to give an estimate (not a big deal, its busy season) and I accepted the estimate same day. I was told that someone would be contacting me to schedule the service. I head nothing for a week and a half so I called to inquire. Was told it would be discussed that day and that someone would contact me. Its now been another week and a half since I called to check and its been radio silent. I understand the job is small. I would have understood if I was told it was too small for them. In fact, I wish they would have just been up front and told me. Dont come out here and waste my time if youre not going to follow through. Clearly, they didnt want my business. Shame too because I was referred to them.

Just Landscaping has been a pleasure to work with and they have done excellent work for 2 of our homes. Our first home they installed additional drainage to assist with some flooding. Very reasonably priced, quick work and successful. The 2nd home was during this Spring where they cleaned up much overgrown trees and shrubs, regraded those areas, planted grass seed and added topsoil. Also ordered additional topsoil at a later date that was like black gold - organic, no junk, my plants are very happy. We couldnt be more pleased with their service and professionalism and will use them on ALL future projects. Thank you Justin, to you and your team!

I was very excited at first. Justin came out and looked at the work I needed done and said he would email me an estimate. When I did not receive an email with the estimate 5 days later, I called the office and they said they would get back to me. When they did not call back by the next day, I again left a message to have them call me. I have not heard back from them since. I did not like being ghosted. If they did not want to do the job, they should have just let me know. I received a call back from Justin within 30 minutes of posting this 1 star rating on Google. He was very polite and said he would send me an estimate that evening. I told him that in the future, he needs to contact customers within a reasonable amount of time, even if to say they are so busy they havent had time to get the estimate together. I reveived the estimate later that evening. It was not 100% what we had talked about when he was reviewing my property the first time. His mind must have been somewhere else. I hate to give anyone a 1 star rating but communication is very important to me. I went with another company so I am leaving my rating as is.

I contacted Just Landscaping in 2018 for assistance with preparing my mother s home of 30 years for sale. We inquired about clearing weeds, shrubbery, and mulching, as well as possibly grading our sloped backyard to install a retaining wall (Ellicott City). Within two days of inquiry, I received a detailed estimate In my email for all work requested, and was able to clearly select my services from the quote offered. The level of service, including responsiveness and professionalism that we received was unparalleled. The recent hiccups are in no way a reflection of Just Landscaping s normal business practices. To the reviewers spreading negativity in the midst of a global pandemic...I am not discounting your right to express your opinion, but it s unbelievable to me that one would leave such a harsh review without having received any services from this company. I wish you all grace, compassion and empathy for yourselves and others. For those considering employing this small business for ANY and ALL landscaping needs, I encourage you to do so. You will be treated with dignity, respect, and you will not be disappointed.

We used Just Landscaping for most of last year until we moved. Communication was always timely, payment easy, reliable and they always did a great job with our lawn. We had to look for cheaper options due to lost income from Covid this year but we ll be using them again once we are back to normal. Highly recommended for dependable work.

I contacted Just Landscaping regarding some projects that I was interested in having completed. They were very timely with scheduling and getting out to see me, even though it was a busy time of the year. The owner spent quite a bit of time talking to me about different options, and ended up giving me a very reasonable estimate. He was not rushed, he was not in hurry, and he made sure that he put time and effort into giving me solid advice. I did not end up having the job completed, but I was impressed by the owners professionalism throughout the process.

Justin and his guys run a great local landscaping business that can assist in both residential and commercial landscaping. They have done a great job at my house and I wouldnt hesitate to refer them to anyone, friend, family or otherwise. And this is coming from someone local to their area who sees their trucks all over on a daily basis from Catonsville to Ellicott City and beyond.

I have been a customer with Just Landscaping for at least 3-4 years and have had no serious issues with them at all. I have had a regular mowing service with them and I have used them for the occasional landscaping/garden bed work. Even during the pandemic this year they have been very good at keeping me informed of any scheduling issues that they may be having. Whenever I have questions via email or if Im submitting a new estimate request via their website there is typically a quick turnaround from them which is very nice.

Living in Ellicott City, yard work can be hazardous to your health. I dont have so much of a yard as a hill surrounded by trees. I have been searching for a reliable landscaper for sometime. We have had several people come out and do bits and pieces of work. I was happy when I found Just Landscaping because their website listed all of the services they have available and it was exactly what I was looking for. I called and within a few days Chris was out to do a walk through of my property. Chris listened to what we wanted and also made great suggestions. Within a few days we received a detailed estimate via email. Most landscapers I have dealt with do not do this. It was nice to see everything laid out and from there you can decide if you want to remove services or do all of them. We decided that the price was fair and we would go with all of the services on the estimate. Now if you are new to hiring a landscaper, there is typically a wait for any service to get done. If you are a new client you should expect a few weeks. During the summer they are very busy. Just to give you an idea, we received and approved our estimate on May 27th and our job was started on June 22nd. This is a reasonable wait time during this time of year. Once the Just Landscaping team was at my house working, I was very impressed with how hard they worked to make my property look better. It took a week to complete everything and they came every day and worked extremely hard. Justin, the owner, was very easy to get in touch with when I had questions and Chris was also very helpful throughout the process. I would highly recommend Just Landscaping. They did an amazing job and we will continue using their services to improve our property.

We contacted Just Landscaping to inquire about having a patio installed. The owner Justin was able to come out the next week to look over out property and provided the estimate within a couple of days. He was very detailed in his explanation of the overall process and answered any questions we had. The patio was completed within 3 days and we could not be happier. Now our back yard is usable space and we can enjoy our patio for many years to come. From beginning to end Justin and his team, were very professional, pleasant, organized. Ok to look at

I was looking for a new landscaping company, since my lawn missed the first few cuts of the season. This is the only professional Company who was willing to look at my lawn, and give me an estimate for the first cut and how much it would cost for the remainder of the lawn mowing season. They came out soon after I contacted them and gave me a fair and reasonable price for lawn service. The owner Chris, and employees provide professional and great customer service. This is my second year using Just Landscaping company and they have always been very responsive when ever I have contacted them. I highly recommend this company.

I was referred to Just Landscaping by my neighbor. We needed a drainage situation to be addressed; some shrubs to be removed and a small tree to be removed. Justin and his team provided excellent value and a completed job. I was concerned about bare spots in seeding; the crew came back and addressed my concerns. Justin and his crew improved our lawn and made our house liveable. The improvements they did to the downspout system and drywell improvements made our yard able to handle the extreme storms that come through. I highly recommend Justin and his company for their professionalism... They will come back if there is an issue and that is worth every penny.

This company has some shady practices in my experience. Theyll mow your lawn, which they do an amazing job of, but then theyll continue to mow your lawn without your consent and then charge you for it. I had to send the several emails before even getting a response from anyone at the company. Finally once I was able to sort out mowings that I had never asked for, a week later someone emailed me from the company asking if I wanted to continue having my lawn mowed and tried to strike up another argreement for the 2019 year. All in all; They do amazing work for what they do, but there seems to be little communication between the company, contractors and the workers of the company.

Justins crew just finished landscaping our front and side yards. We cannot be happier with the service or results!!! At our initial consultation meeting, it was evident Justin was listening to our likes and dislikes, concerns, and wishes for our yard. He was extremely responsive to my (many) questions via email prior to initiating the job. The crew was on time, professional, and very personable. We were at work throughout the day, but I was able to observe the work crew periodically through our Ring Doorbell. They arrived when I was told to expect them, worked steadily, but not haphazardly, and were careful not to mar our recently installed bluestone walkway as they installed our plantings. When we arrived home from work the crew supervisor immediately introduced himself, explained what was happening, how to care for our plants, and made sure we were pleased. We have already recommended them to several neighbors who stopped by and asked who had completed the work. I would recommend Just Landscaping without reservation and we would use them again in a heartbeat!

I have used Just Landscaping for two years and they provide extremely reliable and thorough service.

I hired Just Landscaping for fall aeration and over-seeding. Though not the cheapest, they provided a detailed estimate of what would be done. Sadly, the aeration technician missed several areas of the yard and left large un-aerated stripes. The over-seeding was hit-or-miss: some areas had an abundance of seed while other large areas (different than the missed aerated areas) were completely missed. Several items included in the detailed estimate were not completed. I was hoping for great service so I could use them next year for my lawn maintenance but after this experience I will have to find another company. I cannot speak to their landscaping services but I would avoid their lawn maintenance services. Update: Originally gave two stars but Justin and Chris reached out after my initial service was completed and offered to make it right. Their team came back and did a very thorough job with the aeration and over-seeding. I appreciate their commitment to making sure customers are satisfied with their service.

Max has been incredible to work with. His attention to detail created an outdoor living space which fit perfectly to our lifestyle. We continue to get compliments on the lighting and how it brings out all of the detail on the house. Would highly recommend Just Landscape Lighting!!
