Last October we had Trugreen do a air ration and re-seeding! They charged me almost $700 for this service, that was on top of my regular service. My beautiful fescue grass almost a year later is still not was it used to be before Trugreen. First, the seeds never germinated, call and complained wanting my money back, they refused and offered to do the service again. The same thing, a few spot grew BUT it was the wrong seeds (all died by January). The service before this issue was terrible! Every time you call they DO NOT let you speak to the local office!! Tried and tried to no avail! The flowering grass they seeded with still pops up in places (I have about 1 acres of what was amazing lush fescue, no more! Horrible service, poor quality, and good luck speaking to someone within the US to get help! I d give them a ZERO if I could! Beware. I did cancel service right after!

Ordered aeration, they did just front yard and charged for the whole yard. Tried many times to call but customer service is non existing. Tried to cancel my services. The first rep disconnected the call and on hold for almost 20 min with the rep who said she is going to cancel my services and asked me to hold for couple of minutes. Really a horrible company. Also, the lawn always had weeds even asking multiple times to do service. Note; I had to call a third time to cancel the services. This time, I told her that I was recording the call. It worked as charm. After 30 minutes of wasting my time, finally the services were canceled. I truly believe that truegreen has trained customer service to make it difficult to cancel the service.

My shrubs respond well to trugreen care. I have a lot of natural areas and weed control is difficult.

I have used them for over a year and they have been relatively fine. Weeds were present, but not horrible. After this last service about 30% of my grass is now dead. This started before intense rain and after I was hoping it would come back, but it never did. Very upset about this as I am going to have to pay a lot of money to fix it all. Cancelled my service as a result.

Waste of money, at the time I signed the service they told me number of things will come into the package but for each service they came and go in less then 5 min for a 15000 square foot lawn, after 2 service my lawn looks even worse then it was. It did not work for my lawn. I will not recommend Truegreen. Just put fertilizer by yourself and you will be fine.

Had a small patch of kale growing in the back yard and it was sprayed during our application and 2 days later its turning yellow. Completely dead now, just glad we hadnt harvested any those days right after! And as others have posted you better watch and make sure they apply to the WHOLE yard... looks like they did this last time for sure though.

Third day of trying to get issues resolved with the first visit, and each time I call the office there is a different answer! I would Stop n turnaround n look for another Lawn Care! So upset with them so far n really discouraging they cannot fix a single issue because of them not reaching out to me! I hope we can resolve this soon, I have Security footage and have taken numerous pics and if they have damaged my lawn these will all be sent to my Attorney! Complete joke of a company!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars because 1 star suggestions some level of competency. Last year I had my lawn killed and reseeded with Bermuda grass, it looked amazing. I figured it would be best to hire professionals to handle year round maintenance to make sure the lawn continued to grow properly. They came by multiple times to spray and treat the lawn over the last year. This spring my lawn was completely over taken by weeds, it looks horrible. All the money spent to get it on the right track is now wasted. I escalated this issue to them and a manager was supposed to reach out to me. I got a message from some idiot confirming he s been to see the lawn and it is hot mess . No kiddin? It looks like this because of your ineptitude. So they make a plan to get the lawn back in shape, no offers of discount or free services to correct the issue. You can t screw up my lawn the charge me full prices to correct the issues your are causing. Finally, when I called to cancel they offered 20% off 1 service -gtfoh truegreen you suck. If you use them you will regret it, trust me.

Called today to get pricing. Got quoted for the basic service and the more advanced service. Both prices werent even bad I just needed time to talk it over with my wife. I respectfully told the person Ill think about it and call back when Im ready to schedule a tech. He pressed me 5x saying whats holding you back, you know you are behind on treatments. I know I repeated myself everytime respectfully saying I would call when Im ready. Unfortunately he didnt reciprocate that respect and just hung up on me. Wont be using these guys. I guess the low rating on Google holds weight smh

Overall a nice experience so far

I had 2 separate Gentlemen coming out to my place and they both explained what they were here to do before starting the job and examine what needs to be done first. The first specialist was for Mosquitos defense and the second was for Trees and shrubs protection. Both did exactly what they were here to do and did not skip any areas like they others do often. After finishing they both said they were done. The service was excellent this time. I am hoping I only get Glenn W and Jawann B for all my services.

First time using TruGreen was wonderful. Employees knowledge of the unwanted weeds growing in my yard was excellent and they had the exact equipment to begin destroying them. I look forward to seeing the new grass growth.

True to their advertising, they came out every time we called for additional service. However, they never got our yard to ever look like we wanted. We ultimately canceled our contract.

Today, July 18, almost two months later, Walter listened attentively to my opinion for this lapse of application service and he provided valuable landscaping conversation tips. Walters excellent professional demeanor and attentive customer service skills are appreciated and commendable. Tru Green LawnCare : Buyer Beware! Weve been customers for MANY years. Yesterday I just happened to watch the technician (supposedly) apply Mosquito spray to our backyard (I sometimes check behind them to make sure they close the gate so our dog doesnt make a jailbreak). I was surprised when I saw her spray like 1/4 of the backyard- then walk back to her truck. I assumed she was refilling her backpack sprayer. Nope. She left. I checked the receipt and it indeed said she sprayed the whole property. She even listed how much chemical was used: 6.7 gallons. I called TruGreen and said the technician scammed both of us (the company AND me). By the way, I happen to know her backpack sprayer only holds like 2.5g of liquid (I own the same one). So she blatantly lied on the paperwork too. Most upsetting, when I called TruGreen- they didnt care. They offered to send her out again! Lol- no thanks. I simply asked to speak with a supervisor. They refused. I canceled all our services with them (lawn, shrub and mosquito). Id recommend others check what they are SAYING they do- if your technician is anything like ours- they are just faking the paperwork! :-(

While asking for the credLonnie card details, they committed for 8 including lime, however after charging for next 12 months the online statement says there will be only 7 applications total for the When calling on customer service no one is responding. Spoke with Bianca in sales team she is saying nothing is mentioned about 8 applications request, but earlier customer agent said they will provide 8 applications. No professionalism and and not customer friendly at all. Stay away from this company. Adding some more details: since my lawn was not fertilised correctly I could see dry grass everywhere so I requested a service and asked if the technician can call me before arriving. Of course the technician didn t call and just arrived. I was in a meeting and I could see him parked on the curb. He did not care to come out of his truck and left a notification on the TruGreen app that he knocked on door but no one opened the door . Not sure how they are still in business

Tru green came out last Monday to aerate my yard and missed some spots and I wasn t completely happy. They then came out today and the technician did an outstanding thorough job today and I m very pleased.

Could not have had a worse experience with this company. Was harassed by a salesperson named Ken for weeks which led me to cancel the service. Somehow they did not fully cancel my account and showed up to my home without my consent and trespassed on my property. Would not recommend this service to any person. Horrible experience.

My dog almost died from poisoning despite true green saying the chemicals are non toxic after 24 hrs. The very same week this all happened I was aggressively marketed for additional ancillary services. Every month I was very aggressively marketed for ancillary services this time by a guy named Nathan. He had the audacity to raise his voice and hang up the phone on me when he didn t get the answer he was looking for. So to sum it up, true green has made very little difference on the quality of my lawn, almost poisoned my dog, and then continuously harassed and marketed me to upgrade my account despite me telling them on each occasion I was not interested. I would cancel my service right now if I was already paid in full. If you have any other options for lawn care in ur community please please give the little guy a chance. Or face the wrath of shrewd corporate policies, aggressive marketing, and a product that does not live up to the promises made.

I signed up online for a quote and got endless amounts of phone calls. When I did get a quote I didn t feel comfortable giving my card info over the phone. I ended up going with someone else to do the job but the sale rep for Truegreen from Cary, Norm, called me again. I told him that it wasn t for me and tried to apologize but he hung up on me sentence. There is a reason why I never give Truegreen a chance because they always disappoint.

Gave their services one year, finally cancelled all services. Trust the other reviews. 1. My yard went from stable to full of weeds or dead spots. 2. Reaching them is near-impossible, and when you do reach someone its not a helpful individual. At one point I contacted the main support line, my local rep, and the local office 12x over the course of a month without a single action (sometimes I would get, well call you back later, however that was never followed up by a call, text, or email). 3. Mosquito service was ineffective. Routinely called them back with little success. Update - Trugreen reached out about this review. I shared photos and notes about the above. I then never received another communication. These responses from the owner below, along with an auto-generated email, seem to be the end point.

I think the TruGreen treatments are helping my lawn (best I can tell anyway). It does seem to look healthier as time goes on. I am concerned about the times when they call and set up an apointment time and do not show up. That creates an extra call to the office for me and delays in my treatments.

The specialist Glenn Womble was excellent and addressed all the issues / questions.

I had two service. One I had paid in full for six months. The other service I added was for bug control. After the first application, I did not like the service and I called them to cancel. The rep told me that it has been cancelled. But, they sent the technician again yesterday for another application and charged me the money for second application. I did get a text saying technician will arrive for treatment but I thought this was for the service that I had already paid for. Then I see amount being charged in my credit card. I called them again earlier today, and the rep told me that he does not have any notes about cancellation and both my services are still active. This is messed up and now I have to pay for service that I had cancelled. Not going to use them for any services from next year once I am done with all the applications for the service that I had already paid for.

Worst experience from the start. I had my lawn Aerated by them they came out while I was not at home supposedly preformed the service. only for my lawn cutting service told me yesterday they did not but they sure did charge me $182.75 for six holes in the ground Asked for a manager to call me back and it s been 3 days still no response it s theft to charge me and not perform a service I am getting ready to make a formal complaint with better business Bureau. If you re reading this and considering going with Trugreen run the other way Davenport in the triangle is better they will be getting my business from now on.

Trugreen is not a lawn service company, they are a sales calls company. I get no less than 2 calls a week trying to upsell me on additional services. Ive had trugreen for 2 years now at our new home and the value they provide is minimal. You can go to home depot and buy the same stuff theyre putting down and do an equivalent job of treating weeds. Hire someone else to do your seeding and aeration. this will be my last season with Trugreen as ive still got weeds and low grass growth in areas that have been pointed out to them multiple times. On the plus side, the techs that come service the lawn are friendly and on time.

Joel and assistant came on time, worked quickly, answered my questions politely, spoke clearly and distinctly.

Disappointed with my recent service, aeration and seeding was scheduled three times, the first scheduled appointment for aeration was entered as completed when in fact it never was done, I called and complained three times before they actually completed the job, all previous scheduled appointments was no shows, have been using this service for years, but if this happens again I will cancel my service with Tru-Green asap!

Trugreen performs good soil analysis, use best lawn seeds and excellent aeration methods that makes a difference.

I have had this company taking care of my yards for several years but lately they do not show up on time and do not reschedule properly. Have to call in multiple times and they still don t properly schedule. There are some visits where I know they did not do the full yard because my dog was in back. So I am done with the service quality decline and price increases. Cancelled service and going with someone else.

Our specialist, Davis Soles, was pleasant and clear about his duties for the day. I appreciate that he let us know he was going to be working at our home before he did his work. Highly recommend!
