We hired Edy of Sam General Landscaping to construct a low retaining wall in our basically, unusable back yard. We could not be happier with our choice in selecting Sam General and to moving forward with this project. Edy is a perfectionist, true to his material assessment and we felt, honest and respectful of our needs/input. The wall exceeded our expectations. Edy takes a lot of pride in his craft...perfectly level and straight despite irregular elevation changes - an ability to separately tie-in our foundation and gutter drain systems as well as a large and functional drain between the wall and fill. Not to mention, it is solid AF. Drainage rock and fill were properly compacted, leveled and spread to give us the extra yardage we were seeking. Material was delivered and staged in our driveway which was cleaned afterwards by the team leaving the area in a neutral state that did not negatively impact our lives. All this done at a reasonable rate and fairly short build time. Would we contact Edy again? Yes. Are we happy? Yes. Would we recommend Edy? Yes.
Highly recommend working with Edy and his team. We have hired them for a few projects and plan to continue to use them for more. We first found Edy when we needed a french drain and had to redirect our downspouts underground. Edy and team were quick to get us on the schedule and we’re very happy with their work. We next hired Edy’s team for mulching, bush trimming, grass seeding, soil, gutter clean outs, fall clean up, etc. Again, Edy and team were very quick to respond and were very happy with their work and price. We’re now looking forward to working with Edy and his team for a patio and fireplace build. Highly recommend giving them a call if you have any landscaping needs!
They did a great job at my property. They communicated well, stuck to the budget and delivered a quality product. We had to make a few adjustments to the plan at the end, but they were flexible and made it happen. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs their services.
Edy and his team are exceptional. They completed our paver patio restoration, and I rate the overall experience as a 5 out of 5. They were easy to schedule with, on time, and professional. Their attention to detail in every aspect of the project produced exceptional quality and at a very fair price (I did my research). I now have two other projects for them (one general landscape and one hardscape – French drain).

I was looking for landscapers and found Edi through Facebook Marketplace. He understood the requirements/customization and was fair in his pricing and responded promptly. He and his team did a phenomenal job in building a walkway/pathway in our yard. They were professional, timely and left the place clean after they were done. We got our front yard lawn sod done from Edy. He is great to work with and quality work done on time. We also have his team come biweekly for mowing and they do a good job mowing, trimming & edging.
These guys ran extensions for my downspouts and they did a great job. They are fast, professional, and easy to work with, and they cleaned up after they were done. I would definitely hire them again.
They were fantastic. My lawn mower broke and I was hosting a dinner party the same day. I called Sam and he arranged for one of his employees to come and get the yard cleaned and ready! Edy did an excellent and timely job with my French drain for a very affordable price! He also helped me locate and dig up downspouts that had been hidden by years of dirt and overgrowth, and replaced the corrugated pipes that had been filled with roots. The drainage around my house is much better now, and I look forward to utilizing his services for a nice stone fire pit which he gave me a very reasonable price on as well! Great guy with integrity. HIGHLY recommend!

I have a very small fenced in backyard that was all dirt, mud, mulch, and weeds/bushes. In just a few hours Edy completely cleared the area, prepared the ground/soil, and put some beautiful sod down. Will absolutely be using them again in the future. Before and after photos attached.

Edy and team did a spectacular job with our backyard project. We wanted a massive change over that included grading the entire backyard, laying two paver patios with lights, a couple of retaining walls, stone stairs, veggie bed, electric conduits, underground drain pipes and planting about 30 trees. We loved working with him because he gave new ideas along the way, was very patient with our selection process, showed us material samples and procurement of materials. His work is very clean and meticulous. We highly recommend Edy for your hardscaping and landscaping needs.
We are very pleased with Edy s work . He installed rain water drainage, built a retaining wall, driveway extension , transferred plants , put patio sealant . Very sincere and doesn t cut through short cuts . Will highly recommend.
I hired Edy to install a paver pathway and fire pit area with retaining wall, needless to say, I am beyond satisfied!
