Scooter's Lawn Care in Cape Coral

Scooters is the real deal and a joy to work with. Because I have had so many negative encounters with companies who promise a lot and deliver so little in South Florida, I was not having high expectations when I first engaged Scooters. They handle my lawn care, maintaining my landscaping, and recently installed all new landscaping where none existed before. Bree was outstanding as a designer. Love what she came up with. Jess was the consumate pro in communication and keeping me informed of start times, planning, and what would occur next. Charlie helped with plant selection and informing me of what to expect. But Jason and Olga were the superstars. They worked tirelessly and treated the project as if it were for their own home. They transformed a blah curb appeal into something special. So nice to work with and totally professional. Finally, I don t mean to leave out others from the team, and want to say that everyone who came to my property, whether to cut the grass, clear the weeds, or do this landscaping project were personable, conscientious, and professional. I give this company 10 stars.

Price gouging after hurricane Milton. I called for a quote of a yard cleanup and mow ( front yard only) I only had some branches down and some leaves and I hadnt had a chance to mow in a week because I evacuated to Naples. My yard is not huge .25 of an acre for front and back- I only wanted the front done. My quote was $843. This is gouging. I can definitely do the cleanup myself with my mini chainsaw and mower, I just didnt want to wait for the weekend. Not at those prices! Price gouging complaint is being sent.

Scooters took over our lawn maintenance when our contracted service went out of business a few months ago. They honored the terms and pricing we had with our old service, and they improved on the work product. Scooters has good staff who know how to maintain our landscape correctly and who are attentive to detail. The team that cares for our lawn takes pride in doing a good job and the office staff excels in keeping us informed. The team leader is DJ, who works hard to keep our yard looking great. Were happy that we have a solid, professional lawn service.

Who knew that hiring a lawn care company could be such an exhilarating experience? Enter Scooter s Lawn Care and the legendary Justin, the Michelangelo of mowing. Today, my yard was his canvas, and his mower, his brush. From the moment Justin roared up in his chariot of grass annihilation, I knew I was in for a treat. He stepped out like a rock star ready to conquer the turf. I half-expected him to pull out a cape and wave to an imaginary crowd, but nope, he was all business lawn business. Watching Justin mow is like watching a ballet. He twirled around trees, pirouetted past flower beds, and executed flawless figure-eights around garden gnomes. It was so mesmerizing that I almost grabbed some popcorn and a lawn chair. And the precision! If I didn t know better, I d say he used a ruler and a protractor to get those lines so straight. But the pièce de résistance was when Justin expertly navigated around my inflatable pool. Not a drop of water was spilled. It was like he had a sixth sense for lawn care. Or maybe he s secretly Aquaman, who knows? After his performance, my lawn looked like the greens at Augusta National. The grass was cut so evenly that it looked Photoshopped. Justin even left me a secret message in the clippings. I needed some landscaping low voltage lighting repaired and Scooters responded back immediately after contacting them. They came out and gave me an estimate to fix the issues and repaired them quickly. The service person was very professional and explained what needed to be done. Also, their pricing was fair.

Very professional company. The crew and office staff really work with clients closely to deliver special projects as well as routine maintenance, as requested. The crew has even made extra trips out to trim some hedges, even while they were trying to catch up on mowing due to rain delays. The results are simply beautiful.

I have been with this company for about two years. Just like all lawn care companies, they are awesome when they start but eventually disappoint like the rest of them. In Florida, most lawn care companies cut your lawn weekly during the growing season. They may have to push off your schedule for a day or two due to rain but will be out within ten days. Most companies will work late or even on weekends to get back on schedule. Not this company. I called them on Wednesday to find out when I could expect them. They told me that day or possibly Thursday. On Thursday afternoon, I called again to confirm because my lawn was ridiculous, and my neighbors had had their lawns cut twice by this point by their providers. They told me it would be that day and that there were a few customers ahead of me. No one showed up, of course. I m sure they will show up tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Please, everyone, do yourself a favor and save yourself from the outrageous pricing they charge for lawn care. The cost is not worth the service.

Scooters is consistently on time. They do quality lawncare. They take extra care to make sure all clippings are removed from our fence, sidewalks, driveway, etc. If they will not be on time or have to move our scheduled day, it is always communicated well. Their online portal is very user friendly. Justin is our usual worker and does a great job.

So why did we choose them? Scooters went above and beyond to correct the yard maintenance issues. They really stood behind their satisfaction guarantee, and weve been pleased since then. For our landscaping job Charlie and Bree did a great job with finding out what we wanted and setting up the job. Charlie also visited the site during the work. They were a pleasure to work with. Very nice and friendly office staff each time I call. Bree has helped with some designs to transform the landscape on my new construction home and it looks wonderful. Had a privacy hedge and palms planted a few months ago as well as patio pavers and firepit for backyard. Most recently, Jason and Olga spent a day and a half putting in some flower beds around the back lanai and pavers. They were both friendly, respectful and professional. Now my backyard has been transformed into a lovely place for entertaining or just to sit and relax. I would highly recommend this company.

Bad management! A few of their Crew leaders lie on new employees to keep them from being promoted. Their lawn care crews drive RECKLESSLY! From jumping curbs to hitting basketball hoops, you name it they ve HIT IT. They overcharge for a basic service with no bed edging which makes no sense! Lawn care services should always include free Edging! I wouldn t recommend hiring them.

A mostly unacceptable level of service with so many choices for lawn care in the Cape. Had to coach on lawn care several times, 1x complete redo, and not to mention a mower stuck on a stump. Trimming was poor, needed to send photos for a redo. Constant email about other services that are not even relevant. With the slightest of weather, schedule will change without consistent notice and needed to call on several occasions to know when service would be performed.

Michael and his crew were fantastic and did a wonderful job. The office support staff keep me informed at every step. I would highly recommend.

From the first phone call to installation, Scooters were superb! We had landscape lighting put in and they were able to install just a couple days after signing. Michael, Louis and Andrew were the installers and communicated exactly what they were doing and made it clear that if we had any questions to come out and ask, they welcomed it. Normally, you feel like a bother as a homeowner when you have people on your property installing things and you have questions/suggestions, but this wasn t the case with scooters. I will absolutely be a repeat customer and will be sure to recommend them to my friends and neighbors!

We had Scooters plant 10 fairly large dwarf Buddha bamboo plants. They dealt with the grower, delivered the bamboo, and planted them. Michael and his crew worked hard to get the plants properly spaced, watered and fertilized as they went. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The bamboo looks great! Our experience with the people in the office was also very good. They were prompt in returning phone calls and keeping us informed as to scheduling, etc. All in all, they were a very professional group of people. I definitely recommend their work.

Bree came out to give us an estimate and the crew was here to do the work the next day! We wanted to replace our mulched beds with stone. Our crew was lead by Michael. They were prompt, friendly, communicated well, professional. The office staff was the same. We will call them when we have other landscaping needs.

With the extremely poor contractors in Cape Coral, it was great to finally see a company that returns calls and is interested in doing business no matter how big the job. Scooters Lawn Care led by Mike replaced about 500 sq ft of sod in the front lawn. Sod was very fresh and they did an excellent job at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this company. Quoted our job on Monday---completed by 10.30 Friday. Dug out sod around our house, laid down mesh and stone Planted palm trees and did concrete curbing. Very professional and personable. They also do our lawn mowing. Extremely satisfied ! Positive

The sod that Scooters placed in our yard appeared from the start to be poor. Very thin populated and when the workers removed the sod from the pallet, the majority of them came off on four or five small pieces. The sod appeared to be very poor in quality but we were told after its watered it will take off. Take off is not the word, it s almost all weeds and we have been told must have csme from the neighbors and birds flying over dropping the weed seed. After a couple of treatments with their preferred lawncare person at $270 a treatment we went with a less costly lawncare service and finally after 6 treatment the weeds are beginning to fie. Will I have scooters come back and redid - No!!!!! We were misled on the sod and the treatment . Terrible- would Not recommend,

They were there that day to fix the problem. I can highly recommend them. The company seems to really care and want to do the best job possible for you.

Cape coral hasnt had any measurable amount of rain in weeks so when they showed up to install our sod I figured they would apply water to the soil before installing the sod. No water. They laid the sod on dust. When I asked the office about this practice they said it can be done with or without water. I googled (laying sod )and I saw the ground getting saturated before laying the sod. The roots need moist soil to grow into the existing ground. I would not recommend this company for any lawn services if this is the type of service they do. Some people like to babble on you tube about how great their services are and dont have a clue whats going on. Thumbs down

Had a good experience from start to finish. After the call- my system was evaluated within 1 day, then a repair date was set within 5 days, and my sprinkler system was as good as new within 5 days of the initial call. Awesome service.

Had a 30 ft Bismarck palm at a 45 degree angle after Ian hit Cape Coral in September 2022. Had several quotes to remove the tree ranging from $900 to $2500. Contacted Scooters, they were friendly and professional ( in a time when everyone was stressed) came out the next day to give us a quote to remove the tree. Arrived on time as promised, gave me a quote hundreds of dollars less than any other I had received, Appeared the next day as schedued and 2 men had that tree down and on the curb in under an hour. They followed up on trimming the stump the following day (had to get a bigger saw) at no additional charge. Very pleased with the experience and cah highly recommend Scooters Lawn Care.

I hired this company to help me deal with a previously overgrown Cape Coral house I purchased four days before Hurricane Ian. The hurricane took the overgrown debris and made it 10 times worse. After reaching the point of exhaustion with cutting, weeding and still trying to figure out how to bring this outside home exterior up to the quality standard of my new neighbors; I called Scooters. I had tried other solutions with other people but none could do anything more that I personally did myself already with no new fresh ideas. It was Jake, owner of Scooters who came out personally to meet with me at my house. He was so positive and we took the tour. I m sure glad I did! Within two days his team came out to start the job! Leo was the crew leader, along with Sean and two other gentlemen who were cheerful & highly professional yet approachable and helpful! Leo even agreed to exchange text numbers so I could literally reach out and touch him during their time on the job to better coordinate the effort. As it turned out him and his team were very approachable and kind while sweating their butts off in our FL heat to inform me or ask me anything about the project that they wanted me opinion on BEFORE they did it. Their office personnel also reached out as I was able to pay as we went so there were no big surprises on price or outcome at the end or along the way. Jess was especially available and much like the crew kept me on top of my price while moving forward. They did everything I wanted and more with no surprises! I have been using lawn services in Cape Coral for my vacation home for just over 9 years. I do not remenber how many lawn companies I changed during this period due to bad service and many other factors. Scooters is a different game. They are on top of everything, from the very moment I called them to the contract agreement, everything went very smooth. They are ahead of the game in the business! I own a business over 23 years and I am aware how to treat customers the proper way. Have been using them for one Month now and no regrets, they KNOW what they are doing.

Do not recommend. Regret switching to Scooters from my previous company. I was paying $100 per month previously but after installing my new floratam sod I wanted a company that would ensure weeds would not grow through the brand new sod & for the price expected the overall quality of maintenance to be up to par. It most definitely was not. I have been paying $215 per month & in the summers was told would be serviced weekly which included mowing, edging, weed maintenance & bed maintenance. After 6 weeks of service a corner in the backyard turned brown & a spot in the front. Weeds were growing in the new sod out of control. One week on the day of my service they just did not show at all. No communication, no note, nothing. I called & was told they saw a brown spot and decided to not mow because they didn t want to damage the lawn I replied there are plenty of spots that are not brown but are really long, why would they just not service me all together as opposed to avoiding the two brown patches?? Also the weed maintenance I pay for? Edging? There was no response as to why it was appropriate to skip all the other services I pay for I was just told okay we can relay your message and have them out tomorrow and they will work around any brown areas That was 4 services ago ever service since I have pulled security camera footage & watched each time as they mowed over all brown areas. they were so concerned about them & wanted to not service me but then decided to mow right over & make those areas worse. I also reviewed all my cameras and each service that was done they never touched any weeds at all. I had to call & specifically ask for someone to come back out to where they sprayed 3 weeds in the backyard & left. So I had to pay for 12 services with that service included which was never done. For the last 3 weeks I ve had to go out in my yard to spray & pull weeds while I pay $215 per month.

Called for an estimate. Left a message & never heard from them. Never mind though. Found an amazing service elsewhere.

I hired Scooters Lawn Care to do some concrete curbing, install rocks around trees and shrubs, and replace some plants. Communication was outstanding. Jess came out the same day and Brie was amazing to work with also. They showed up on the day that was promised and finished as scheduled. I was sent pictures and videos since I was out of town and was never wondering about anything. I am planning on hiring them again to do some work in my backyard and I highly recommend them for all of your landscaping needs!

I had Scooters employee Richard water my many newly-planted outdoor shrubs and groundcover while I was out of town for two weeks. It was during the height of Floridas scorching July-August summer drought/heat wave. All of my new plants would have died without watering. Richard did a FANTASTIC job!!! Every plant looked even better than when I had left it, and plants are tricky when it comes to watering. Especially new plants without established root systems. And every plant has its own particular water requirements. Richard really knows his stuff! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him--10 STARS!

This is by far the best customer service I have had in a very long time. I have a dog run that consisted of grass and weeds and constant mushrooms. Jason and Olga did an excellent job in removing the grass, putting a barrier on the ground and then installing the rock. My project was set for the end of the month and to my surprise they came and did the project early. Scooters Lawn Care really stays in communication with you from start until finish making sure your job is done right and you are happy with it. Our dogs and I could not be more happier. Started using Scooters in early 2022 after going through 3 other landscapers who always had excuses why they didnt make it. Our lawncare guy is named Nathan P. and does an outstanding job. Hes always on time, completes the mowing edging and blowing and on many days works alone....and....he does it exactly as its always been done. Our lawn has always gotten compliments on the cut of the lawn, the weed whacking, the lack of weeds growing on our patio bricks and the cleanliness of our various palm trees. We are very pleased with Scooters and especially with Nathan.

I tried to do business with them, but they seem disorganized. I informed them Monday that I needed my backyard sodded, etc. and they agreed to schedule appointment for an estimation on Wednesday. The lady on the phone told me she scheduled me an appointment, and I will receive an email confirming Wednesday 10:45A. I then proceeded to provide her photos of the backyard, eventually she stopped responding. 2 days later on Wednesday, I tested her to make sure our appointment was still set for 10:45A because I never got an email confirming the appointment, the only email I got was a promotional video of saying how they started from the bottom and now they expanded to FL still no response. I don t want to be too harsh in criticism, but those in charge of administration is costing the entire organization money if they also do that do others. Maybe this slipped in between the cracks because it looks like they re growing quick? Regardless, I still haven t received a message, call, or anything concerning this.

BEWARE of Scooters Lawn Care We have used their lawn care service for almost 2 years and have had nothing but issues. The biggest being they mowed the lawn a street over for 2 months after they had been servicing us for over a year. Most recently they charged us 2 months in a row without providing a service. When I called they stated they have pictures, my response was, you re welcome to come look at my lawn in person to see it has not been mowed. Today when speaking with Breanne Sefsick she was very rude as she is every time I ve had to speak with her. I apologized to her if I sounded irritated as I didn t mean for it to be directed at her but the situation is frustrating. She replied that it s also irritating for her the way our account is set up. She later said I was yelling and being aggressive which I was not. Irritated, very, which is why I apologized moments before. Anyone would be if you re taking their money without providing a service then being told the service was done when it most definitely wasn t.

Jacob and his crew, both installation and office, did a GREAT job with our landscaping job! Their professionalism, follow up and follow through was exceptional. We moved to Cape Coral form the Midwest in 2019 and our experience with various contractors has been challenging. Our experience with Scooters was just the opposite. They made it easy. They scheduled our job quickly, showed up on time, the primary crew, Michael and Casey did a great job and they finished the job on time and on budget. We don t recommend contractors lightly but would HIGHLY recommend Scooters!!

Originally we just wanted a hedge taken out, but after discussion with Jacob, we had them do much more with helping design and implement a brand new flower garden section. GREAT JOB! I purchased a home in Cape Coral in April and wasnt able to move in until June. Front yard and backyard were a mess - grass completely overgrown with lots of weeds. I have two dogs and couldnt let them out into the backyard, so I needed lawn care ASAP. Googled best lawn care service in Cape Coral and Scooters came up. Im happy to report that the high reviews are well deserved. 1. Amazing customer service. I called them on Thursday, they sent me an estimate the same day, signed it on Friday. Got a call on Monday morning to finalize the appointment and on Tuesday morning, lawn care specialist showed up, earlier than scheduled! 2. Good quality lawn care. The guy who came (I believe his name is Steve) spent over 2 hours making my mess of a lawn into a beautiful space, where my dogs can now run around and play, and I can enjoy the pool. Highly recommend!

They removed all the mulch beds, replaced with rock, all new very nice concrete curbs, some flowers, sod and another palm tree. Mike and Trent are hard workers and did a great job. I would hire them again and probably will very soon. Our landscaping looks fantastic now. Very satisfied.

We had used Scooters for a full on landscape install on our brand new house, which we absolutely love, but some of the wiring wasnt buried very well, so it is starting to show now and Im having to go back through an fix those issues. We then started using their landscape maintenance and pool maintenance, on a weekly basis. While the pool service has always been stellar, the landscape maintenance was iffy...some weeks it looked great and other weeks it didnt look good at all. And week and a half ago, I receive an email stating that my monthly investment is going up by $24/mo. on the next payment. Now, I understand costs going up, etc., but not even giving customers a heads up or a breakdown of the new prices is just poor communication in my opinion. Especially for a company that prides itself on overcommunicating. Their service and communication started out so well, I hope that their growth doesnt kill that part of their business. For the record, I would have paid the increased monthly investment if it would have been relayed better.

Hello, I just wanted to say that scooters lawn care did a tree removal for me that was scheduled for last Monday and they told me it would take 1 day to do it. It was 87 percent completed today. Last week we had one rainy day and thats understandable then no one told me that their machine broke down in my back yard and couldnt get it fixed. I do not feel comfortable recommending them for large jobs. They also probably like everyone else cannot get their hands on equipment but it could have been communicated much better. They also do not have machinery to remove stumps and then they quoted my 3k for stump removal and came back and said we cant do it but can recommend someone. Light why would I take their recommendations when I wasnt happy with their service. I had to reschedule my fence until November now when it could have been yesterday. I told them specifically that I chose them because I am disabled and really need a fence for my dog. They just finished today all the work I was going to get out of them so I had to pay the remaining balance. If you are disabled or elderly do not let them take advantage of you. They are also not open on the weekends and no one was at my house but their broken down machine. I still have brush all over the yard but they would have no problem adding on to my current bill. Ummm NO. I am not sure if I disclosed the lot size but regardless they should have not thrown brush on the vacant next to me. They also did not take the debris off the Lani but cut down the tree. So I guess they did their job but not above and beyond service 5k was not worth it. It was an over promise and under deliver and expensive. Can someone recommend another company for help with brush removal and price put stum and root removal Thank you.

I phoned this company at 7 am the morning my husband was having eye surgery and I was in the waiting room. It was two days before hurricane Ian hit and we live in Cape Coral. I found them online and they stated that they opened at 7 am. A live person answered the phone! WOW! We needed our own hurricane shutters put up around the house. I gave them a description of the house and I was promptly emailed a super reasonable estimate to install my shutters and come back and remove them. They arrived ON TIME the very next day just as they said they would. The team was efficient and professional and they secured the shutters in the estimated time. WOW! We stayed in a hotel until we regained power. They came back to remove the shutters and left them exactly how and where we asked them to do so. WOW! No price gauging due to the hurricane, no stalling for appointment even though they were super in demand...just great service and a job well done. What more could you ask for? Very impressed, indeed!
