The plants they chose were very pretty and appropriately placed. I didn t like one of the plants and Chris sent over new ones of a different color. They are very easy to work with and LISTEN to your requests. They were able to complete our job in 2 days and the lead time from first contact was only a week. I had been waiting on another landscape comp for months and finally wised up and called Chris at Horseman s Landscape. We recommend them highly and will definitely use them again!! UPDATE: After Hurricane Ian they came and did cleanup of our badly wind blown plantings. Then we decided at do some more landscaping around our pool. They pulled out overgrown bushes and planted palms and shrubs and added lighting. The had to replace a couple irrigation heads as well. They can do it all and the workers are kind and very polite! We will never use another landscaping company than Horseman!! Update Feb 2024: we had them install massive palms on both sides of our home. First, Chris, the owner came out at 8am as promised and he confirmed the work his team would be doing. Then the workers showed up and lead by Santos, they had to cut out a hedge then remove the old lava stone and concrete edging. Santos got my approval as to the placement of the palms and his guys started. They did hit a couple irrigation pipes but they fixed those immediately. They got the 16 trees planted and mulched around everything. All the workers ( there were 9 or 10) were very pleasant. Santos, the team leader is VERY accommodating and meticulous in the work he & his team does. He wants you to be happy with the work they do. Not many people have that kind of attitude anymore. Chris, his team & family have those ethics! They will make things right and beautiful!!

As many of us here, hurricane Ian did a number on our yards. Horsemans provided a reasonable quote to restore my landscaping. They were very professional and helped to design the layout and choices for the yard. When they arrived (ON TIME), the supervisor reviewed all design choices and placement prior to installation. When completed, everything was cleaned up and watering instructions were provided. Overall, one of the few professional landscape providers that know their job and do it well.

Horsemans just completed a pretty big job at my house...trees, shrubs, flowers, hardscape. I am very pleased with them and their work. The foreman, Santo, was great and his entire crew really worked hard and you could tell that they all cared and wanted to do a good job. I highly recommend them.

I had a large tree come down in hurricane Ian. There was a lot of heavy and cumbersome root material and stump to clear. The area was difficult to access near a canal. My job was scheduled very quickly after estimate was approved. Guys that came did my job were great. They did exactly what we discussed and it looks great. Clean up and left things as if they were never there. Many other contractors that have done work on property in the last year have left without cleaning afterwards. I dont often post review but this time I will because this company is a very good one. So the workers were on time, before beginning the work they checked all the watering system. The guy in charge of all the workers was very nice, polite and very good at his job, knowing a lot about plants and trees. Horsemans Landscape did an outstanding job with building and filling a raised bed in our backyard. New codes demanded we raise the area adjacent to our pool deck. We interviewed 3 companies about building a retaining wall to meet the new codes. Chris Horseman was very knowledgeable, his prices reasonable, and we felt he was someone with whom we could work. His crew worked hard, Chris monitored their work, and made corrections when needed. He listened to our needs and responded to them immediately. In two days, they had built beautiful stone retaining walls, backfilled the dirt, planted very healthy plants, mulched, and adjusted the irrigation system to the need of the new plants and the grass. The crew cleaned up after themselves and when they left, all that remained was a quality, beautifully finished product. The results are stunning and add value to our home and property. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a project completed in a timely and professional way with attention to every detail. One of the best feelings as a homeowner is when you find a solid company to tend to the needs of your investment with quality work and professionalism. Granted I ve only had them to install mulch around my house I believe if I m very satisfied with that then the other services should fall into place as well. I requested a quote online. I received a response within 24 hours and a site visit within an additional 24 hours. Received my quote the day of the visit. I had a few requested changes that were promptly redrafted. We were scheduled for about a month out...assuming they were busy because they are reputable. The team showed up as scheduled yesterday. They were polite and hard working. The finished product met our expectations. This included paver work, rock beds, plants put in, and plant/tree removal. We replaced a hedge between our property and a neighbor. It required the removal of eleven ficus trees and replacing them with seven caliusia trees. Horseman provided a schedule and sent google reminders. The crew worked hard over two days. The project was done a week ahead of schedule and the plantings are exactly to plan and look great.

I had Horseman s install 3 palm trees, 25 shrubs and replace about 500 sq ft of sod. Chris showed up with his crew at the date and time they were supposed to. They ran into a problem of the footer sticking out which caused them to have to move 75ft of curbing out a foot. They did this at no additional charge!! I am very happy with their work and would highly recommend them.

The crew showed up both days ON TIME when they were supposed to. They discussed with me (homeowner) what they were going to do, went over the plan and got straight to work. When they were done, I asked them to move 4 plants away from the wall a little further and it was done immediately. They asked if everything was ok, cleaned up the driveway and yard. Very professional! They even fixed all the sprinklers that needed to be fixed (added bonus as we thought we would need to bring in the sprinkler guy)

1st and foremost Chris was absolutely great. I called them and needed my backyard sodded and landscaped for a pool inspection. they fit me and got the job done in 2 days for my inspection. He also fixed my irrigation, my backyard looks amazing Ive gotten many compliments already. the guys were here early in the morning and worked their butts off. I think the pricing was very fair for the quality of work and amount of work that they did and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend.

Horsemans remedied a drainage problem, added a paver connector between my driveway and side yard plus installed landscape lighting, oh, and they mulched the entire yard. It looks fantastic, very happy!

We challenged Horsemans Landscape to solve a unique problem created by bureaucrats. Namely, build a compliant swale & berm long after our pool and landscapings installation AND with next to no space to do so. Of course, we made it even harder for Chris - he could not use any wheeled or tracked machinery to do so. His crew figured it out and got it done. Despite the extra effort that likely frustrated the crew, they did something that surprised me given how some SWFL trades work. The crew went out of their way to clean up other landscape debris that they simply could have walked right by. Sort of old fashion workmanship right? We observed them doing so all day - left the place much better than they found it. Wow - what a change! Most importantly, the job passed inspection with the bureaucrats.

We had Chris and his team do some landscaping for us. They took out some old bushes, put in a new palm tree and some smaller bushes and prepped and added grass to make our planting beds smaller. If you have any sort of landscape project i highly recommend Horsemans! Chris, the owner, met us on short notice to take a look at the property we were buying. The landscaping around the house was horribly overgrown and not what we were wanting for our new home. He listened to our likes and ideas and came up with a detailed plan. To make this situation even more difficult we were traveling overseas at the time . Through emails, texts and phone call we came up with a final plan that included removing almost all of the existing landscaping, overgrown trees and lawn. Throughout the entire project at the end of each day they thoroughly cleaned up the area and their tools and equipment. His team is the hardest working landscape crew i have ever seen. After all the old material was removed they proceeded to install everything according to the plan, including lights, rock and mulch. In addition they re-worked our existing irrigation system adding to it as needed to take care of the new landscaping and trees. After that they re-sodded the entire lot and checked and double checked the irrigation system to make sure of coverage. Most companies would be done at this point but Chris checked on us every couple of days and told us if we saw anything that looks unusual to call him as he wanted to know about it right away. We actually did call him on one issue and he stopped by that day to check things out. Chris is a total professional, his crew is hardworking, polite and friendly. They did an outstanding job for us for a fair price. I would recommend Horsemans to anyone and will be using them anytime i need help again.

I had my entire landscaping removed and new plants put in. The guys got here early in the morning. I was very impressed. The guys got to work immediately. The first day all the old landscaping was removed and the beds were prepared for the new plants. The second day the plants were planted and the shell mulching was installed. The third day the new curbing was installed by another company. The fourth day the new sod was installed and the job was done. The guys were very professional and very hard workers. The service from Horsemans Landscape was absolutely FANTASTIC. The crew arrived on time, removed the sod from our yard, put down landscape fabric and rock, built a planter island around an existing palm, installed irrigation and refreshed all the mulch. Their crew kept me updated on their progress and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. To top it all off, Horsemans was the low bidder on the job. Horsemans Landscaping replaced the sod in the front and back of my home. Completely updated my entire irrigation system and installed a beautiful stone walk-way to the hot tub. Horseman s installed a stone wall to create a new, level landscape bed (it s gorgeous), helped us move a water line, added much needed drainage, stone and mulch. The crew was amazing. I hired Horseman s Landscape for a design and a complete change of the front yard landscape. We were happy with the computer aided design and closeup images of the plants. We had a layering of plant colors, a palm tree installed and a rock ground cover.The work crew did the entire job in one day and we are very pleased with the professionalism and quality of the work. I first contacted Horsemans landscaping a few years back to give me some quotes on re-landscaping my yard. Their estimate was more then other quotes that I got at the time so I ended up hiring a less expensive company. The landscaping that the other company planted died pretty quickly because the wrong plants were planted in the wrong areas. I ended up hiring a couple other companies to redo the landscaping and got the same type of results. After much frustration and wasted money, I ended up calling Horsemans back out. Chris showed up on time to the estimate, walked the whole yard giving us suggestions as to what type of plants to use in different areas, sent an estimate right away, and showed up on the day he promised to be there. The crew did a really great job and didnt skimp out on the mulch and rock like others did. In summary, this company may not give you the cheapest estimate, but thats because theyre going to give you plants and trees that will survive. Its definitely less expensive overall to hire a landscaper one time, then it is to hire a new landscaper every year.

I am very disappointed with this company. I hired them to do a landscape design for me. After not hearing anything from them for almost a month, I received an e-mail from them telling me that they were too far behind and having staff shortages. Had they bothered to call me I would have been glad to wait till their problems were resolved. Would not recommend them.

I found Horseman Landscaping on Google. The reviews of 5 stars were right on. Chris was so helpful. We had all of our mulch removed, stones put in. In addition to 4 Royal Palms in the front. When the stones we wanted werent available Chris worked very hard to find us stones that looked very similar. His advice with the palms was very helpful and they are doing great. His crew was punctual, polite and very professional. They worked so hard in the rain and heat to ensure our project was completed on time and with quality. Next time we need landscaping done Horseman is the first call. I would highly recommend them.

We had the opportunity to use Horsemans Landscape this last week for a job in our yard on the both sides of our home. Chris came out in advanced made some recommendations on what to do since we could not really grow grass in that area. His guys were excellent and they spent one long day doing our job. If I really-really said how really-really pleased I was with the service given to my yard and trees , someone might say, really! Instead, I will say this, I had two days of work done on my property by Horseman s Landscape crews. Day 1: First day a crew of three members cleaned out my Areca border beds that are two living fences that border both sides of my property. After the cleaning up of all the hundreds of dropped Areca fronds (yes hundreds) crimson stone/rocks were replinished in the boundry Areca beds. The Areca s were also trimmed. Before the crew had finished, I was asked if I would like to inspect all that was being done just to make sure the work was to my liking. Then again upon completion, I was asked by the lead team member if I would like to check all that had been done before the crew left to ensure all was done to my satisfaction. And, yes, everything was done to more than my expectations and I was truly satisfied. Day 2: On the second day I had my palms trimmed (I have large/tall Bismarcks, large/tall Pineapple Palms, and many Pygmy Dates and more than many Areca Palms). My palms didn t just get trimmed, they got trimmed and styled. Just beautiful! I have decided to have this trim-styling done every 6 months because the trees looked not just better after being trimmed but healthier. The lead crew member asked me to look at the work being done just to make sure I approved of the type trimming that was being done. This trimming was the best my palms ever looked after being pruned. Both day one and day two crews (separate crews) were respectful of my property and in caring for my palms. The cleanup was as though no one had been in my yard but somehow magically everything looked so much better. If you think I am exaggerating, I am not, but you can find out for yourself by using Horseman s Lanscape Inc. for your property maintenance just as I did. Joan

Horseman s Landscape is a Best in Class landscape design and service company and superior to all other landscape companies in SWFL. I looked for over a year trying to find a landscape company that could actually do landscape design and maintenance. What I found was most of the landscape companies in the area said they could accomplish these tasks, but they could not. Most, if not all, were only interested in selling their landscape products and leaving as quickly as possible after planting. Horseman s Landscape IS NOT one of those companies!! Chris Horseman came to our home, listen to our thoughts, and then developed a landscape solution that met all of our landscape requirements. With regards to cost, I found that Horseman s Landscape prices to be fair, and in most cases, better than local competitors. The plants that he provided for our home were of high grade and great condition. With regards to Chris s landscaping team, I found them to be very professional. They arrived on time, made sure everything being planted was correct and ensured each plant was properly planted. Once they completed their work, they made sure we were happy with their work before leaving the premises. In addition to executing our landscape solution, Chris also managed other aspects of the project. He identified other companies that were needed for the project so once the project was completed it would thrive going forward. If I had met Chris when I build my home several years ago, I would not have wasted so much money with the knucklehead landscape company that my builder used. Chris Horseman developed a GREAT landscape solution for our family, he did on time and on budget. He knew the landscaping would not hold up with as wet as the land currently was and I so appreciate that. Not to many people would of been so honest. I got the sprinklers fixed and then Chris and his crew were here to redo my landscaping. His crew was wonderful, worked for hours and I am in love with my flower beds! I am so excited that Horseman is taking over my lawn maintenance also and I think my yard will only look better with time! Many thanks from a very satisfied customer!

The lawn always looks great, and the bushes and trees are always trimmed nicely. Not responsive in a timely manner to follow up issues. Failed to replace plants that died as was promised. Unhappy with appearance of the palms he planted in the center of the front yard. We have figured out they don t do well in windy conditions. Leaflets were broken and continue to break easily in the wind. We depended on him to steer us right on that choice as we were new to Florida. Our mistake. I d rate them at 2.5 if I could figure how to do that.

Chris and His crew did an outstanding job refreshing our landscape after we bought our house in Cape Coral. Horsemans also did our Path lighting for our new walkway and repaired some other landscape lighting. Very informative, conscientious about their Work. Actually show up when they say they will. Very professional! Chris designed it and his crew replanted new plants and palm trees lost in hurricane. The workers cared that the palm tree went exactly in front of the window so others could not see in, but I could still see out. They took pride in their work and made sure it was exactly right. Great team.

Very impressed with the promptness of phone, email and text responses. Chris was always on time with any appointments and has a great can do attitude. This was especially important to me after dealing with other landscape business people who kept telling me they could not get the trees that I wanted. He also recommended a competent and prompt irrigation technician to rework some of the newly installed irrigation system to ensure the trees and the lawn coverage was what it needed to be. All of the materials delivered and planted by Horsemans crew were fresh, healthy, of good size and enhanced what had been a rather bleak yard of a new build. Your crew did a great job with our house in Cape Coral. From the time they arrived to their departure (over 2 hours) none of the workers ever stopped. They were very polite and asked us questions about how we wanted certain shrubs trimmed. All of the landscaping you put in around out house looks perfect!! They seemed very friendly on the phone and they gave a competitive offer so, I agreed to give them the business. Horseman Landscape is a professional landscape business who completed our redo in a timely fashion for the price agreed upon. We are very pleased and think we have the nicest yard on the block.

Didnt have a big job, but Horsemans treated it as if it were the biggest most important job they had last week. The owner came out personally and quoted me a very reasonable price, scheduled work for that week and had it done in no time. The workers were great, providing service above and beyond and left the job looking neat and professional. Will definitely be calling them for future landscaping needs.

We were overdue for a deep trim of all our trees and shrubs. We also needed pots planted and a large dog run fence removed. It was a big job. Chris, Robbie and the team were great! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Maybe use this company for mowing a lawn, but any projects or large jobs go elsewhere FAST!!! I did my entire yard in almost half the cost that they estimated me. I had 4 different estimates and this landscaping company was nearly twice as high as every estimate I received. The big problem, they gave me an estimate without even walking my property or asking any questions on what we wanted done. Bad business or terrible, lazy worker...

Horsemans did a great job reviving our yard in South Cape Coral. We had them remove decades old hedges and plant new palm trees in both the front and back yards. The crew arrived as scheduled and completed work that would have taken me a week in just several hours. All the Horseman employees were very polite and focused on pleasing us as they worked each aspect of the renovation. When they left, the only evidence that they had been here was a Beautiful Yard. The work upgraded our homes curb appeal 100%. Horsemans gave us great value for our money in professional work and the quality of the plants that were installed in our yard.

Close to five years ago we purchased our home in SW Cape Coral. The home was perfect however the landscaping was deplorable, No shrubs,bushes or lawn to speak of. Chris did our plantings & sod. It was beautiful from the start but the best part is, I believe that the value of our property has increased thanks to the beauty of our landscaping. Chris and his staff utterly transformed our yard. Where we once had a massive eyesore of a Brazilian pepper tree, we now have open space, a beautiful view and a new royal poinciana tree. After the removal of three truckloads of debris from the tree, the yard is unrecognizable in a very good way. The staff was friendly, efficient and did quality work.

Chris and his staff are very good and making sure the job is done right. From the time I paid them to do all my garden beds to even trimming my bushes they did it the right way the way I liked it done.
