Absolute TRASH company!!!!! There are far too many issues for me to even post without getting angry but I will say they destroyed my lawn and no one seemed to know what was going on. ZERO communication between staff/management and the last "overseeding" they did to try to fix the lawn they aerated but didn't spread any seed. You've been warned!

Totally burned my front yard! Spent 15 minutes on the phone with what sounded like a WFH customer service rep that had what sounded like kids screaming and yelling in the background and poor quality headset where I had to listen to her heavy breathing for the entire time. I asked to speak to a service manager in my area to come look at the damage and after 15 minutes, was told someone would get back to me in 24 hours. Look elsewhere for your lawn care needs! Update: 08/20/24 Corporate responded to my review asking that I send them a email. Email sent and Tim the local area rep called, set up time to come out and declared that I had a grub infestation. Since Grub Control was part of my plan I would say someone dropped the ball. He offered a free re-treatment for Grubs and suggested an aeration and over-seed, which is also already included on my annual plan. Sadly Tim arrived without even pulling up my account to see what had been done and what services remain for the year and no plan to make it right and bring back my yard. My front yard is still dead and now just full of weeds. I stand by my review and will never use them again and I highly suggest you look elsewhere as well!
I now have a local manager telling corporate, they have reached out and left me a voice mail which is a flat out LIE also here are some updated photos of the burns left on my lawn from their products. You can clearly see the brand new GRASS not weeds that were burned. The lawn I have worked so hard on for the past 3 years now looks like garbage 🗑 and it's beyond frustrating to know I PAID someone to do this to it 🤮
Very expensive for the super small area sprayed. The gentleman that cam out was very nice but only had to pull hose about 4ft off the truck and pulled spray trigger 4 times total which cost $54. It was about 90° when the treatment was applied and now I have massive burns every where the chemicals touched as well as baby grass that has just sprouted dead to the seed. I am beyond disappointed with this. Photo is of my small lawn before burns and treatment.

I have a crabapple tree that is treated for a fungus. My previous company was purchased by TruGreen. It has been a disaster. The first time I was told they came nobody had come. I was here all day. Then they said someone would come the following week and he was spraying something into the roots. He said that’s how they do the first treatment. He said the second treatment would be a topical spray. Second treatment came and he didn’t ring the bell as asked and I didn’t see the treatment being done. His invoice said he treated my lawn leading to about my fifth call to them. This person said oh I’m sure he treated the tree. The tree is losing its leaves to the fungus. After speaking to this person we realized the first tech was spraying insecticide into the roots and it should have been a fungicide. So basically the tree didn’t get any treatment until late May. No wonder it looks so awful. Every time you call you get a different person in another state. Did get one call from my local branch saying for sure a manager would be calling as she was meeting with them that very day. Well guess what, no manager called. Nobody has seen how horrible the tree looks. Dead leaves all over the ground and from years of having this tree it will be bare in a few weeks at this rate. Oh but they are retreating it for free, supposedly next week. I want a manager looking at it and I want my money back. I highly doubt an additional treatment will help. All I can say is steer clear of this company. You will be better off and less frustrated.They can’t even get their information about their hours correct on this web page. Just drove over to my local office to try and see someone face to face and they were closed!
My experience with this company has been awful and felt like a SCAM for well over a year. The results have been limited. The main issue Ive had is with customer service and constant billing issues/errors with promises to correct that go unfulfilled. Trying to cancel and even getting confirmation that you have cancelled doesnt stop them from showing up. Finally had to just dispute transactions and file complaint with BBB to even have a hope of getting them to stop showing up at my property. Try Greener Grass instead, they are a good local company and much easier to deal with.

Absolutely awful service!! We were supposed to have True Green come out today to service us. He parked on the side of the road , I was outside at the time , the guy got out of his truck with a flag and was going to put it in our yard when he seen me he decided to jump back in the truck and leave , we got ahold of true green right away and they told us they were unable to perform services today. Last time they came our video cameras recorded the guy , he sat in his truck for a half hour when he seen me go past the window to look out he got out of his truck, and started to do the front yard , I then went outside and said excuse me three times he was acting like he couldn t see or hear us finally he turned around and we told him he still had a back yard to do.he said oh and started huffing and puffing. Absolutely awful that they have to be reminded to do their job or they just won t do it at all apparently. Very and highly disappointed.
Tru green always makes things right. William was just sent to my house after I got a call over the weekend. He was sent here because a office guy sent him to do a service that was pretty much unnecessary. But William was very honest with me and I appreciate it so much. I dont like being sold things I dont need.

Husband signed up for basic weed control. We asked for front yard only. 1st worker came out, and luckily checked in at door. He was surprised it was just the front because the paperwork didnt say. So we called and double checked the account. A few days later, a worker mistakenly sprayed a bug pesticide that was intended for a neighbor. We called and said we dont want that. The worker for the 2nd lawn application was also surprised it was only for the front yard, and we called to specify for the 3rd time. 3 times! During the 3rd application, it was unclear if they did the back, so I called and they had no way to veriy. He again, put it in the file to only treat the front. He saw no record of us asking for the front only. How crazy is that. The customer service rep didnt express any concern over the companies terrible communication and record keeping. He even tried to convince me to do the back. He was even brazen enough to ask why I dont want weed treatment in backyard. None of your business! Just do what Im asking after us telling you 4 TIMES. Why are we paying for a service if you cant do what is asked? Work needs to be done with this companies record keeping and ability to communicate.

this company is a scam! this spring they called me over and over trying to get my business...and I said no, not unless they can do it organically, they said they can... it was way too expensive they brought the price down .... now they have sprayed it 3 times before I knew it was NOT organic, I was so upset. plus, I spoke with 2 other agents, and they told me its organic. and to top it off the never gave me a customer number or a recite even when I asked for one when I was signing up!!!!! also a lot more issues too much to mention.

My tech David K. Was very thorough and attentive to my communication about my chickweed problem. My True Green service ticket mentions lawn color improve often but that was never my concern. Chickweed control is my major complaint but there was no mention of chickened specific treatment. There is mention of broad leaf weed treatment, a category for chickweed, so I am forced to wait for another application to see if there is actually any chickweed reduction. Otherwise, I will do my own treatment with Ortho Chickweed prevention for less expense.

Brittany was very courteous & thorough! I felt horrible for her, as it was 40ish degrees, and raining so hard, & gusts of wind! She was soaked!! I think she said it was her solo flight, so to speak! I thought it would be done on a motorized machine and granular products. Not a huge hose, and liquid spray, when it s raining out! I would prefer a motorized machine be used, and not the long, huge hose, as the hose is eventually going to break my perineal flowers! It s not Brittany s fault! She has to use what the company instructs her to use! Please don t use the hose anymore! Brittany G. was Great, though!! Thank you!

This review is very specific and pertaining to one experience only. That experience is my conversation with the manager Dan at the Canton Branch. After being with Trugreen for over 17 years and the past three or four years service so bad I should have cancelled I finally after all that time was able to talk to the manger at the branch in Canton. Dan listened to my complaints, and was patient with me as my frustrations came out in our conversation. We talked about my reasons for being angry, and he agreed as a customer he could surely understand that. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and I ended the conversation with him feeling as if finally things with Trugreen and their service would get back to the reason I had kept them for over 17 years. We will see! Again this review is for Dan, and I wanted to thank him for his help, and I suspect if Trugreen can get more people like him this company can get back to being the company I contracted with 17 years ago to service my lawn. Thankyou Dan, only time will tell now, but thank you for your time.
This company is a scam!! And I m so mad I fell for it. They came out twice and both occasions they never called me and on the last one did 2 services and charged me for them without asking for my consent. They leave their service notes listing all they allegedly did one of them said they applied fertilizer which I did not see any of. I will be filling a customer complaint to this company. Don t fall for this trap.

If I could rate them negative 5 I would worse service and shady company said they were coming to treat the entire lawn only did about 1/10 of it my neighbor watched the guy he was here five minutes and left invoice stated all the yard was done which was a lie called and called to speak with a manager the guy refused to let me speak to any higher up. I ve canceled 3 times and they still showed up a yr later treated my lawn without my knowing and bc I didn t know this until I left my house out my front entrance where I don t come in the house at my dogs were let outside when I got home and my little dog is now sick from fertilizer.

Do not call this company the will call you several times a day and do not stop. I use to use this company but the only reason I do not any more is because of this. All I told them was I needed to talk to my wife and to give me a few days. They called me so many times the first few days that I had to shut off my phone at work and then they kept calling several times a day for months after.

This company has said thy performed the lawn spray service but actually the employee did not perform the job. The first time the employee pulled up and sat in the truck for about 10 minutes then left and charged me for the service. The second time the employee made one trip around the yard and was done in13 minutes after arriving at my 1 acre lot. Fortunately for me I have cameras that showed now this company did not perform the service but yet charged me for the service. Be ware they do not spray your yard but will charge you!!!! They did reimburse me since I had proof but I would suggest you don t use this company because they hire disreputable people! Fraud fraud fraud!
Some of the workers go out of their way to do a good job and the head man comes to visit and offers creative suggestions to beautify lawn and garden. He goes out of his way to help solve home and garden problems. He is a good ftiend! Positive

Appears todays crew didnt do the 5 offset outside the side yard fence. We spoke about us being dissatisfied with 1st weed & feed because it didnt kill crab grass & other weeds.
Still have weeds and brown areas. Still pulling dandelions and crab grass.

I had never had a lawn service before. For a few years my lawn was overtaken by 80% ugly weeds. True green came out last spring, and started working on my very unattractive lawn. This year I have a beautiful, plush green lawn with no weeds! I am so surprised and very pleased that it was corrected in such a short time. I highly recommend TruGreen.

Aubrey Fankhauser came and really did a thorough job treating our lawn. She spot treated as well as applied broad treatment. I appreciated her extra effort to ensure I was a satisfied customer.
They continue to try and bill and provide service even after 2 cancellation requests. I just received another notice this morning that they were on their way, I cancelled over a month ago when I just called to complain, I was told my account was saved from cancelation at the end of May. I never requested it, and I wasn t notified that they canceled my cancellation Their service employees were great, and they try hard, but their product is inferior to the competition. My yard has not gotten better since I started using try-green, and I had much better results when I did it myself. Buyer beware, they make cancelling nearly impossible, no matter how many times you call or chat with them. UPDATE. So here we are, another 2 months later, and TruGreen continues to call me weekly, trying to sell me services that their specialist recommends I have done everything but get an attorney to make them stop calling. At this point, I can only assume they are simply incompetent, and not capable of realizing they are wasting their resources trying to sell me something, I have had at least 5 TruGreen employees put me on their do not call list and still they call at least once a week.

They killed spots in my yard, killed a young dogwood tree in my landscape as well. When I reported this, they recommended that I spend more money with them on added services. Ridiculous.
Shady company in Copley. I paid for a year service in advance. I d get a notification of service completed when I was home all day and no service completed. I had to call and request additional weed control several times throughout the year. My lawn was always very green and plush until TruGreen took over. I ll never go back to them.
Came and did the dog and pony sales pitch guaranteeing elimination of weeds etc. Had the service two years & they came back multiple times and the weeds did not ever go away. Switched companies and immediately had positive results and now totally weed free. I wouldnt post a negative review but true green bombs my cell with marketing calls from different numbers and refuse to take no for an answer. Incredibly unprofessional. Update from Truegreens comment- - I should not have to send the company a follow up email to remove my number from the marketing list. Ive kindly asked each time and been met with snickering and nasty comments about other lawn companies.
They sold me on there product saying it would work to for mosquitos and ticks . I still get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Didnt work.... Edit .. now months later after I canceled my account I have a bill in collections.. dont deal with these guys .. thanks for nothing
Not worth a penny. Asked customer service all this years (2) to schedule contractor when I am at home so I can talk to him, as my grass was getting worse. Only request was to service be done anytime after 14:30 any day. Not once in the last 2 years they did come at or after that time. My yard looks terrible and it is full of mushrooms this year. Only my yard in this neighborhood, and I only have private fence on my yard. So only way this was done is by their service. Also, I have cameras on my house and every time when contractor would come, would never knock on door, and service would be done in approx 6-8 minutes. It takes me about 12 min just to walk around house. Probably that is a reason why they are doing service when they know we are not at home. As I said, I have called probably 15-20 times this year alone to ask for service to be done when I am home, and their customer service is so sweet and quick to promise that, but when I call back after service is done without me, they try to explain that their contractors planing their routes by themselves????? I had enough and I think that is so many better local services in this area. There is about 4 different companies in my development and all of those yards actually have healthy grass. I have mushrooms and really sweet customer service who is not open over weekend for complains for their customers, but if you want to buy something new they are open 24/7. How convenient. 04/08/2022 Yes again for this year, worst than before. Before they would show up and not do the work around yard. Now they just cancell service and dont show up at all. 2 times cancelled over last 3 weeks. My yard is only yard in neighborhood that is not done now. And I have prepaid all year. Dont do it. Be smart and get someone else. I have just called and cancelled all year. I was stupid enough to give them chance again.

How is it possible I cannot reach the office my service comes from and can only speak with a remote service rep somewhere in the US? I have called three separate occasions now to explain things about my property, how it isn t all being treated, that things are not being killed (such as dandelions) and I cannot receive details about what they re using on my yard before work is done. Notes left from my free service application were not what I requested be done (dandelion control) and was fertilizer. Please, find someone truly local that you can speak with and know you re not a number, but an actual customer.
Please, for the love of God, do not use this company. Signed up for a year worth of treatments and Every Single TIme a technician serviced my lawn, absolutely nothing happened. Me and my wife are home constantly and we get a notification that someone arrived and not a minute later we get a notification that the service is complete. You complain, they send out another technician. Its a vicious, awful cycle. Please, use literally anyone else for your lawn.

The spraying does work, our lawn was mostly weed free but due the high cost we decided to do it ourselves. I called and cancelled TruGreen s services. However, they kept showing up and automatically charged our credit card. We never got the money back.
They ruined my yard ,I asked for a manager to call me back still havent spoke to one.. They sent a Girl that has only been on the job for 6 weeks. I have spoke to at least 7 different people and they keep telling me that a manager will call in 24 to 48 hrs that still hasnt happened . Very frustrated!!!

Terrible service. One year of treatments and lawn still full of weeds. Last treatment was rescheduled because,according to the prerecorded message I received there were other lawn care people working at my house . I saw the technician come and go and no one besides my family was at my home.

It has been very good so far. A couple of times Ive had to have them back because the weed control wasnt effective on the initial application.
Very disappointed! Watched the technician pull up, sit in the vehicle, then bill me $105 for a list of services claimed to be provided. Even the summary paragraph gave a detailed list of pretend work completed. Similar situation on the rescheduled service a few days later. However this time no one even showed up. I received the technician has arrived and service complete messages with no one in our yard. Thank you Trugreen customer service for promptly resolving this issue.
Absolutely the worst in the area. We left Trugreen a few years ago because they were awful and unfortunately they bought Custom Spray last year who we switched to when we left them. We fired Trugreen again. They sprayed 3 different times this season. No weeds were killed. Not only that, the technician 2 of the 3 times missed many areas. Don t waste your time. Too many good companies in the area provide this service and do a great job!
Terrible! The guy forgot to bring enough fertilizer. Rather than apologize and go get more, he walked around my entire yard acting like he was spraying. I watched the entire time while nothing was coming out...

I have been a customer of yours since you took over the service from Custom Spray. I was extremely disappointed in the look of my lawn by the end of last season. I realize the drought in the summer didnt do me any favors, but my lawn was the worst looking one on my block. The number of dead spots, matted areas, and also some weeds, were overwhelming to me. When I asked my representative about it at one of his last visits, he was not very encouraging. Just saying, I should have it aerated, and because of no rain, thats why it had so many spots. I do have my lawn aerated, which I had done in October, so well see what next season brings. Yes, I have prepaid because its one less bill I want to deal with during the year. I hope Trugreen takes a little better care of my lawn for me this year. Ive lived in my house for 32 years and take pride in the appearance. This was embarrassing to me. Thank you for your time.
I have been trying to reach someone all day. Phone system says 2 - 4 hour wait, (because they are that busy?) and online system will not let me login. Trying to send an email on my account will not work either because it doesnt recognize my phone number. I am regretting paying for the service up front since I have weeds growing on top of weeds.
Agent didn t complete the whole yard. He did the front went in back and then left without treating marked it all complete. I watched him from the window and also on camera
Make sure you have cameras up, will show up so it shows on GPS but will not do the work! Company will still charge for services. Will never use again.
This company puts guys in their trucks Blasting their radio and acting a fool then expect customer to buy from them.
I was told I would pay 89 dollars a visit. I was charged 191 dollars due to receiving a service I never agreed to. The agent on thr phome wouldnt refund the 89 from the grub control, so I cancelled my service. Ill make sure to inform my neighbor that he should cancel as well. The old bait and switch.
i have had them for three years, the first year was great and the lawn looked beautiful, year two was a little worse, color was not as nice, year three, the lawn looks horrible, the weeds and mushrooms are growing in the lawn, there are brown spots. I called and voiced my dissatisfaction and they said i am so sorry , we will make sure he sprays the weeds really good to try to kill them. They did nothing. After one more application i decided to cancel and use someone local.
I must be a fool to honestly spend my money for a company that could care less about the services supposedly provided. I have more weeds than ever before, and I keep falling for the same line BS. This is the last time I deal with a company that talks a lot and delivers far less!
this company could care less about their employees and even less about their clients. all they want is to take your money and if they mess up they don t care. they make their employees go out with broken equipment on a daily basis, they don t even spend the money you give them on their own products and equipment. all they want is to fill their pockets and screw over as many people as they can on the way out. you are better off going to google and buying your own products, dont waste any of it on this company, they will do whatever they have to to not pay it back. just another greedy useless corporation
I have been using TruGreen for over 2 years now. I finally had enough of the empty charges and return visits that resulted in a poor looking lawn with tons of weeds and creeping vine. I canceled their services last week and they seemed not to care. The gentleman that took my call did not even inquire of the reason(s) why. My neighbors who use other lawn care services have nice green yards that are weed free. The neighbors who maintain their own yards look just as good as mine if not better. Anyways think twice before agreeing to Trugreens services, they dont care about any green other than that which comes from your wallet. Their service is terrible and their end results are less than desirable based on what they charge. Beware TruGreen are the JV in the weed control business, dont believe the advertising.

I ve used True Green for over a year now and at first the service seemed good. Recently, I was billed for an aeration and reseeding that did not take place. On the invoice, it stated that their tech was at my home and had a time stamp of service from 2:44 pm-2-45pm. I was home and saw no one. Also, it is not possible to perform any service for only one minute let alone an aeration and reseeding of my lawn. Before, the techs always left a detailed receipt on my door and this time nothing. I only new about the charge when I looked my bank account the following day. I ve called and spoke with 5 different customer service reps that all say they will have a manager call me and still no one calls. I also told these reps that I no longer want any service from True Green and that under no circumstances should they be on my property and with each person I talk to, they still have me as an active customer. The hold times to speak with anyone in customer service is lengthy and they can never transfer you to a manger. Just out of curiosity, I called the sales department and they answer or call back almost immediately. With each of the sales reps, I repeat my concerns and the run around I ve been getting to which they say they can t help and need to speak with a manger. They can never transfer me to a manger, just say they will call me back. Never happens. I wish I had read the reviews for true green a year ago but I trusted the name. I will tell everyone I know to go somewhere else.
I signed up to get my yard treated for fleas they talked me in to sign up for mosquito spray but they still never treat my yard for fleas

We moved into our home a couple years back and noticed a couple of our trees had a fungal disease, etc. we also noticed a very large population of beetles that were destroying our plants. We called Trugreen in October of last year and they told us if we purchased their service up front all at once we would get a 10% discount and it would cover about 4 treatments. They also guaranteed that our trees would no longer have the fungus/disease they were infected with, or they would continue to treat them for free until they were successful. After the 10% discount I was charged a total of about $450. My trees look NO DIFFERENT than they did a year ago. We still had a beetle problem although it s not quite as bad. They left little signs on our lawn a couple times this summer and I figured it was because they were continuing to treat the trees until they delivered on their promise. But then i looked at my credit card statement and noticed a $67 charge I NEVER APPROVED. I feel absolutely scammed and taken advantage of. Trugreen was dishonest and did not do what I paid them to do, then they charge me an additional fee without permission? I expect this to be made right or I will let everyone know what kind of terrible service they offer. The BBB included!!! I will post photos of the trees later so you can all see for yourselves! Money down the drain.
It looks like my lawn was worse than when I started. I have been on and off with using TruGreen. This will be the last time using them. I have weeds EVERYWHERE. Weeds that I havent ever seen in my yard, are in there now. I have a serious issue with ground ivy, the last company I used did a great job containing it (before they were bought out by TruGreen a few years back), but it is back and then some in my backyard. I could have just purchased fertilizer at Lowes or HD and saved hundreds. The last straw was for the scheduled September visit, they didnt even show up, but certainly charged my credit card for work that was not performed (I phoned and rescheduled the work, so who knows if they will show this time). Avoid!
I have used TruGreen the past few years and anticipate this being my last. I paid for grub control and got grubs and subsequent damage. Their answer was to see if it recovered rather than repair. Despite this, I stayed with them. This year my lawn had lots of weeds, reoccurrence of clover and rather than a plush green lawn, an unhealthy brown-yellow thin one. I can t contact the Canton office directly and am lucky if I get a call back 2-3 days later. Today my service took the tech 1 minute. That s right, 1 minute is what he reported in the system. Unfortunately, this is accurate. I met him, walked inside, went upstairs and down and he was gone. I had to call to see if he performed a service (fertilizer and weed control) and to my surprise, he claimed he had. I tried calling the local office but have been told that there is no way to do so. I have no idea what he did. It certainly does not qualify as the service I contracted them for and not worth what I m charged. Horrible experience. Waiting for someone to do their job at the local branch and CALL ME!!
Waiting to hear back from a supervisor after the tech claimed to come but did not, because we were home and have cameras. Then when he did come he turfed up my yard. Very disappointed and hoping they rectify this situation. *EDIT: after posting this and they respond to email them so they can help resolve the situation, a week later and still no response.
Once you sign up you will never be able to contact them again. There were multiple issues with their service including not completing the whole job of spraying. Our lawn has never looked this bad. Have been trying to cancel it for 3 months. Called every number they list for Services, emailed them on their website, all to no avail. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!
Do not get the Mosquito Control service, it was a complete waste of money. I even called the woman who sold me the service, and she was unresponsive. Weed service was just OK - but I plan on using a new service next year due to the bad experience with the mosquito service.
The service is less than satisfactory. The weeds weren t killed, our lawn wasn t much better than before we prepaid for 6 services. Then, when they finished the services they came out without authorization and charged us for yet another service. Go with someone else.

TruGreen applied fertilizer inappropriately and ended up killing large swaths of my grass. They sent out someone to inspect the damage and agreed the application was the reason my grass died off. He promised they would come back an reseed my lawn. No one every showed up. I canceled the service and now I must pay someone to reseed.
After being long time TruGreen customers we left last year due to substandard service. In January I received a call from Kolton who stated he was the branch manager at the Canton location, explained that they had numerous complaints last year, all those issues had been remedied & quoted us a discounted price for the TruHealth & Mosquito Plus program. It was made abundantly clear that the misapplication of the flea & tick treatment the previous year was the reason we left. We were assured that this would not be the case & Kolton provided his personal cell number. Today were told that we DO NOT have the flea & tick treatment included in our program, it will be an additional $167 for three treatments. When I attempted to contact Kolton it rolled into voice mail that he was not accepting calls at this time. The local number on this website rolls into the national telemarketing call center. Never again will I conduct business with TruGreen.
TruGreen is amazing. Great group of people at the local level that will be happy to help once you get through to them. They are prompt on coming out and taking care of anything that pops up between visits. Just have to reach out once you start seeing something because if you dont then they will not know what is going on until the next visit!
I have been with true green since mid summer of this year , in that time my lawn condition has gotten worse and worse. Almost all of this has been due to ineffective communication from TruGreen. This started when the technician came to my house on the first visit, he was supposed to come talk to me about a plan for my yard he did not within 10 minutes he was done with the service and gone. I had to call customer service to have the company come back out and spray for weeds that service was completed no problem there. My lawn had continued to get worse over the coming weeks I kept watering it to no avail. Fast forward a couple of weeks later and I get a text from a area manager driving by that my lawn had grubs that were eating the grass ( we just moved to the area I had no idea that was the issue). So basically a area manager driving by in a car can tell this but the person actually on my property cannot? I attempted to contact this area manager and left 4 messages as the text indicated to call him to schedule service to fix the issue, no return call. I called customer service as a had a aeration and seeding service scheduled to fix the lawn and asked about the possibility of having some kind of bugs in the lawn and how that would effect the outcome of the aeration service, I was told the bugs would help the service. I asked around because I thought this information was incorrect and of course it was so I called customer service back to have someone from Truegreen to come back out and talk to me, the rep showed up on the 21st and told me the bugs would in fact not help the aeration and that they needed to be addressed prior to that service. I have had to call back multiple times to adjust the dates of the service to make sure the grub control is done before the aeration and overseeding service is completed. I was given a 10 percent service discount on the grub and aeration service however i basically feel like I have wasted the entire summer chasing down truegreen to do a job they should know how to do, I do not know much about lawn care that is the reason I hired you guys because supposedly you do know about lawn care. My experience with Truegreen has been pretty bad to say the least and at pretty much every point your reps have apologized but have really not taken any responsibility for the service I received from your company. I would like you to take a look at this situation from a customers perspective and ask yourself how you would feel if this was your experience
I was having problems with my lawn. John came out and assessed the situation and recommended some solutions and we did them. The lawn seems to be back in good shape right now.

Last spring I asked for a quote from Trugreen to have my lawn sprayed and fertilized throughout the year. The quote was $300 higher than everyone else. Later in the summer they contacted me and asked if they could earn my business. Told them I wasnt interested and to not contact me further. Yesterday I received a phone call from them in the morning again asking if they could earn my business. I again told them to stop calling me. They proceeded to call me 5 more times throughout the day. Finally at 8:30pm I answered again and was very straight forward in telling them to stop calling me. They said no problem, sorry for bothering me. This morning at 9am they called again. These people dont listen, they want to harass you. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

On monday I was surfing the net looking for someone to do lawn clean-up and landscaping for our property. I come across TruGreen and began filling out the quote when I realized that they do not offer any of the services that I am currently looking for. So I promptly backed out and continued my search. Today is friday. I have recieved 4 emails, 6 phone calls, and a young lady came to my door yesterday trying to talk my elderly stepfather, who lives with us, to sign a contract with them. I am totally fed up with being harrassed by this company twice daily because I made a mistake by clicking on their website. I have repeatedly told each person that has contacted me that I am not interested in their services. I have blocked numbers to only be called from a different number. If this is their idea of customer service when Im not a customer, Im not interested in finding out how they treat their actual customers.

Another horrible TruGreen experience! I wish I had read all these bad reviews before I engaged TruGreen a few years ago. My first contact with an online representative was extremely sketchy. He actually claimed to be able to identify the kind of grass AND the weed concentrations I had in my yard based on a satellite photo. And from that review he recommended a course of treatment and estimated the cost per treatment. I should have known better. The lawn technician who showed up to treat my yard would wander around aimlessly with a spray nozzle that was connected by hose to his truck. After watching him from the house, I concluded that he did not know what he was doing, or didnt care, or maybe both. A few days later, a much more energetic tech showed up to spread fertilizer and pelletized lime. I waited for results... and waited... and waited. Nothing. Multiple treatments later, my yard was essentially in worse condition than when they started. I called to politely complain and a manager (in-training) showed up with his boss to explain things and attempt to make me feel better. The first thing the new manager did was to point out that my yard was full of bent grass. I couldnt believe my ears. He asked me if I ever played golf. Yes I had. He said that my yard was like the grass they use on greens. That is why it was dying. It could not stand up to the weed killer they had to use. What I did not explain to him was that I had worked in the landscape business, including on a well-known golf course in Columbus, Ohio. I corrected him. I did not have bent grass. I had Bermuda grass, I explained, and yes it is very sensitive to herbicides. He got embarrassed. I told them they were fired and demanded a refund for all past treatments. I got a refund check in the mail a few days later, but for the next year, I continued to receive sales calls from TruGreen sales people who seemed to know nothing about my experience with them. They all wanted to try to tempt me back to TruGreen with special deals and discounts. My only reply... You have got to be kidding!
I have had a couple other lawn care services in the past, and switched to Tru Green about 4 years ago. What a world of difference in how my yard looks. Several people commented how good my yard looked this year even before I had my first application. Glad to have Mike as my service lawn care person. Yes I would recommend Tru Green.

PLEASE DON T USE TRUGREEN !!! I used them a few yrs ago n my yard never improved n weeds got worse. I noticed at the end of the season the technician only treated small parts of my yard and after calling in found out they forgot to apply all forms of service paid for. This yr I decided to try them again after being reassured that that would not happen again. I PREPAID FOR A DISCOUNT!! Big mistake!!!! First treatment was only part of my yard and only half of the service scheduled was performed. I called and they said he FORGOT to apply weed control and crabgrass inhibitor. Since then I ve been told they were coming out numerous days and guaranteed for sure 100% they would be here and have never shown up once. I ve talked to about 10 people including the manager here in my area named Bradley, who s very good at telling me everything will be fine and making me promises that are not kept. He s very condescending . He offered to give me a free service and I said OK but doubtful it will get done because they won t even do the service that I ve already paid for. I am 54 and have NEVER dealt with a more unprofessional company or such unbelievably fraudulent service !!!!! BTW, I m still waiting for my first service to be completed. I will be letting everyone know about TruGreen on every site/review area/Facebook/putting a sign in my yard/fliers up at stores/restaurants etc. I ve read soooo much how they do this to most people!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE !!!!!!!
My grass never looked greener than when I stopped using True Green. Went back to applying Scott s myself. We now have a deep green, weed-free lawn.

Weeds everywhere, wasted money for sure. This company has telemarketed me more than the spammers, but cant seem to take care of the lawn. A great example of losing focus and most worried about profits.
After 3 treatments my yard is still filled with weeds, and after the 2nd treatment my yard was burned out in spots in spite of all the rain we got. The last guy that came out was appalled at the bad condition of my yard after 3 treatments. He said the previous 3 treatments did nothing for the weeds. He was very good and said he would take care of it. I think it all depends on who shows up to treat your yard. Also, I have called several times to my so called contact person and get no answer and no return call. Im very disappointed. A hint to everyone, never pay for the entire season up front. It seems like once they have your money they dont care and then you have no recourse.

I was contacted by them to get a quote for my lawn. The man I spoke to knew nothing about what chemicals were being used and kept repeating I will look like a golf course. When I thanked him and said Im getting a few more quotes but Ill be sure to call back, he hung up on me. Didnt thank me for contacting them, didnt tell me to have a good day, nothing. I dont know if thats how they treat all of their customers but I would recommend staying away from trugreen!!
They never showed up on there first appointment, and didnt even let us know they werent coming. When i called them, they even were confused on why they never showed up. Ending up cancelling and getting my money back.

We bought this house last year from an elderly couple that had babied the yard. Since we like a nice yard and had previously used TruGreen service in another state with such good results we decided to use it here. But nothing but disappointment this time. We started TruGreen in the Spring of this year. The lawn looked very good early on but soon after that the weeds got out of control despite several complaints to the office and several extra trips out by their crew to apply weed control. However, the result was just like nothing was done because the dandelions, nutsage, clover, crabgrass (and some others I dont know the name of) still looked healthy a week after the application. And the grass doesnt seem to have been properly fertilized judging by its appearance especially when compared to several of the neighbors yards that have a different yard service. The Spring was wet but that is not a factor in this case. The timing between the rain and lawn applications gave usually 2 or 3 days at least for the chemicals to work before the rain came. I finally got tired of hearing so many excuses from them and cancelled the service. After spending most of my adult life taking care of my own lawn I can see where something is not right with this particular branch of TruGreen.

Their service is unreliable and dont keep you informed if they cant be there Dont trust them.They scheduled service twice and no one showed up when they said they come with in a couple of hours. Even had the name of guy coming to do work but never showed. I was told that they would be here today. I guess their word isnt worth believing. Glad I didnt pre pay. Lost a half of days work because of this. I will find someone else that is reliable

Your driver has marked that he removed toys from our yard. Toys?? Really?? We have NO children in our house, there have never been toys in our yard. DO NOT recommend this service! Healthy lawn guarantee?? My lawn needed some help and I was guaranteed by the salesman they could grow grass. They did not. We went with them so we could guarantee grass would grow in case we tried ourselves and failed. Instead we paid 2x as much as it would have cost to do it myself with less results. Customer service said too bad so sad. No refund just a crappy looking yard that looks the same as when they took over. Except I am $625 lighter in the wallet.

Signed up for services three weeks ago. Had to reschedule once on my end. However, no one has shown up in over two weeks. They always have a date for service but no one ever shows up or even calls. Im glad that I didnt pay up front or I would be more upset than what I am. Definitely not a company that you can trust to do the job. Seems like they are just interested in getting paid.
Asked for a price quote. When she called and found out I was asking for a price quote and not to sign up for service the call was terminated. Should I sign up without asking for a price? Sorry to waste your time.
They are worthless!! They came by my house once and they just put a flag in my yard and a slip on my door saying that they were there and what was done. But they never did the treatment!! I was watching from the top window! They thought we werent home.CROOKS!!
Youll be Sorry ! Ill let photos show what happens (not the same dependable company they used to be). I am a long-time TruGreen customer. Lately, they have applied treatments, knowing it was, or was going to rain. Here are the results. First - Horrible bug damage to a treated tree (sold to me as an extra service). The service rep. was rude to my 80 year-old mother-in-law, when she came out. Next - Common clover in several locations. Also - Ivy, throughout the lawn. Lastly - my bill. And when they say the will come out to retreat - only if you get irate, or threaten to leave. I am disabled, my wife has M.S. I cannot handle the TruGreen stress. So I just quit. No more UntrueGreen for me. At one time I praised this company continuously (yes, they were that good, in the past). I only write this review, to save you the wasted time, money, and frustration.

Im a very new customer. In fact havent even gotten a treatment on my lawn done yet and Im already seeing issues with this company. First the salesman who says hes our account manager, Mike Clark, quotes us a price for full services, which we prepaid for a year only to receive in the mail a completely different price. When my husband tried to call the number he gave as his. Noone picks up and voice mail says its someone named Schilling. So fact person there. Then when you try call customer service they act like your putting them out. Next, received 3 separate emails telling me scheduled for Monday July 23 time 8:00_12:00. Next email says Im scheduled for that same day but now not until 12:00- 5:00. Then on Monday get an email saying watch live as are technician comes for my scheduled treatment. Guys name is Tony, who never shows up. Call customer service and they say you werent scheduled. We show you for Thursday July 26. Im told they will even make sure by blocking it in. I havent seen if they can do a good job treating my lawn yet. Told customer service we just want to cancel before this even starts and just want our money back. Well no we have to talk to this fictitious account manager. Who are you really, Mike Clark. Supposedly going to call on Wednesday July 25. This is like a bad first date. Im not continuing this
Horrible Service! We had TruGreen in the past and the service was good! My lawn looked great...This year has been nothing but problems, WEEDS and HORRIBLE service! My lawn (or weed lawn) looks terrible!! The service men act as if they dont care about their job when they come out to spray and my lawn shows it. I have called and complained and it still looks the same. I am paying all this money for what...not sure! Its time to switch to a new company! TruGreen is not what they used to be!
Terrible experience. They sent me to collections because they didnt file their own paperwork correctly. I was very disappointed in their service, and when I tried to cancel, they started making many billing mistakes. I will never use this service again. Save your money for someone that actually cares about you, the customer and not just their own bottom line.
I wouldn t even give them 1 star.... I have been dealing with them nonstop about getting a FULL refund because my yard is not getting taken care of after repeats of treatment and then retreats on top of that. Weeds and crabgrass all over... The manager called me last week to come out today to check for himself before he can give me a full refund and never showed or called. I call twice this morning and at 10:20 when he was suppose to be here at 10 am , the lady claimed he left a half hr ago. It only takes at the most 20 minutes to get here... here it is 11:15 ,and he has yet to show up
Do not use this company. My yard has never looked so bad before. I pay for the 6 treatments and it looks like I have never done anything to my yard. I have clover, crabgrass, chickweed etc in my yard. We have called them and the problem has not been rectified. We canceled them. If you want your yard to look nice and want to work with a company that will rectify their mistakes then DO NOT get this company. They are terrible.
I wish I could give this company a 0 star rating. I used TruGreen several years ago when I lived somewhere else. Last year after building our new house I contacted TruGreen to handle our lawn care needs based off my pleasant experience of the past. How things have changed. This company now has horrible customer support and the lawn care they provide I have found to be cookie cutter. Every yard gets the same thing. The final problem that has caused me to quit using them happen today. I prepaid to have an aeration and overseed. I received two auto calls confirming they were coming out. I also received an auto call that they were also going to do a fertilizer/weed prevention application. They did the fertilizer application and failed to show up for the aeration. I called and the attitude was one of who cares. I will look elsewhere for my lawn care services for next year.
I paid in advance for seven treatments to be done this year. Every single time someone comes out to preform the service they do not do the entire yard. When the first treatment was done I was home and noticed the technician didn t go into my backyard. I was busy in the house and didn t go outside so I thought maybe somehow I missed him going back there. The next day I noticed the dandelions in my front yard were most all wilted and in the backyard they were standing tall and it even looked like more popped up. I called to complain and the person I spoke with told me there must have been a reason the technician couldn t get into my backyard. I have a double gate on one side of the house and single gate on the other side. They both work fine, there was no reason he couldn t have gotten back there. The next treatment was not done at all! I got a text notification saying my treatment was complete. There was so sign in the yard and no receipt they re supposed to leave. I was two houses up when I got the text and saw that nobody from Trugreen was there all day. The third time the technician only sprayed my front lawn again. I had my neighbor watch since I was at work and he said they quickly sprayed most of the front yard and left. The most recent time was very odd. The technician appeared to be geeked out on some drug, kept doing odd things, and I m positive the backyard would not have been sprayed again if I wasn t home. I opened my door and the technician came up to talk to me. They even said it looks like your yard hasn t been treated properly, if it was you wouldn t have all this crabgrass and other weeds. I expressed my concerns and mentioned the backyard never being sprayed. The technician said this is on ongoing issue in the Akron and Canton area. When the technician was finished they came to talk to me again said they didn t do half of my backyard because it looks too perfect. That makes no sense since it s full of weeds! Granted it was a very hot and humid day and my yard isn t small, but still I paid for this service. I would not recommend using this company at all. They re absolutely horrible and they hire people who don t take pride in their work...or should I say even want to work. This company is a joke!!!!
Very poor service. Scheduled a trunk serves for Ash bores in April, no show, Again in July, no show. I complained to corporate and said the tree is almost dead and not to come, then they show on the 30th of August when Im not home and service the tree that has no hope of surviving that will have to be cut down.
