The technician Ronald G always does a good job and knows the property. He is very thorough.

We used Trugreen for two years. It was a debacle for sure. I don’t like leaving poor reviews and it’s necessary. Out of state sales reps who over sell the product and local service. I had aeration that I paid for which they’ve done several times to find out my yard can no longer be aerated. I chalk it up to laziness. Nothing changed at my home as far as access to the backyard. The worker even agreed with the poor service and communication from his employer. We also had people who came to spray plants and trees and and leave after looking at our backyard. We have cameras and you could see them pop there head around my home and shake their heads. They just left 🤦I don’t have time to pay attention to yard guys. They got fired to say the least. Have cameras if hiring these guys.
We bought this property 4 years ago and the lawn was pretty roughy with bare spots and weeds. 11 months ago we brought in TruGreen to help reclaim our lawn. As you see the lawn has made a complete turnaround, green and full, much less weeds and bare spots. I can’t recommend TruGreen enough as the guided me through mistakes I made with the cut height of my lawn. Our lawn is probably the nicest in at least a 3 block radius.
We have had very experiences with TruGreen Communication is outstanding I always know when Ronald is coming and i always get a follow up report on what was done. And the results are apparent. Our lawn looks great. Since we started with TruGreen a few years ago the improvement in the appearance of our property is noticeable .
I get an automated call the day before when someone is to arrive. That allows me to tell them about my gate and an overflow drain box. I also get to meet the person(s). This past week I had aeration/over seeding. Kyle came at 2 pm. I asked the other guy how deep the aerator goes. I told him I was going to pull the flags over the porch light line and a buried drainage extension made of vinyl in 2000. Kyle was able to open the gate all the way to fit through. I sure hope he messed up the tunnels the moles made to confuse them. I was concerned the tunnels would swallow him up. He is too nice looking. Nice looking # 2, was right behind him with the seed spreader. He survived the backyard and closed the gate. Both of these guys are fast. They left their flag by the mail box and the instructions for watering the grass. That motivated me to get some hoses. Thank you guys.

Trugreen would only quote through the call center. They insisted that I have over 1/2 acre of grass. I have about 350 Square feet. Called 3 times and all 3 representatives want to charge for 1/2 an acer

Do NOT pre-pay for any of their services! This the most non responsive company I have ever dealt with. First, I have more weeds in my yard than before they started to spray. Second, they repeatedly sent the truck to an incorrect address (they got free services) and bill me for the services. When you call to correct the issue, you will never get a supervisor (even if you ask) only a call center. If you cancel your service, they will have to call you back to discuss the amount to be refunded, and of course they will try to charge you for services never performed and at a higher rate!

They have great advertisements but the experts that show up are just employees that are there to do the work, standard application of standard products with no assessment of your specific needs. The employees do not have a map or verbal description of the property so they have no idea what areas to treat. I you are not there in person to show them what to do it won t get done. To there credit if you complain they will try to make it right, but I would prefer it done correctly the first time.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I was told by the local manager Steve that I would not be charged for the overseeding since the aeration could not be completed. Still receiving phone calls and emails about unpaid bill!!
UPDATE- we have canceled our renewal and will not be returning customers. Their billing practices and lack of communication in customer service are the only reason. Between charging us for services that are prepaid and a supervisor who did not write ONE NOTE on our account regarding a lengthy phone call involving a free service that we then were billed for despite having a credit balance on our account, we are done. It s really a shame because the lawn services were great. So far we ve used them for 3/4 of a year. We are extremely happy with their services! Our lawn is a lush green. Can t wait for aeration and seeding in the fall
I ve been very pleased with my service from various technicians. My yard has never looked better, which is a specially satisfying since someone else made it look good without me having to get out of my recliner.
Had a 3-man crew come and aerate and overseer. They worked in 30 degrees and wind. Professional and courageous. The best part was that they worked together as a TEAM!

Wont return your phone calls and they arent reliable at all.
We had a seeding and aeration scheduled. Because we have an irrigation system and a recently installed electric fence for our dog we need to be home when the service person comes. (We can flag the sprinkler heads -but the flags we have are the same that we have for the electric fence so we need to point our the sprinkler heads to the service person. ) So, I stayed home and also paid to have my yard raked. At the end of the day we were cancelled. We rescheduled. I stayed home again. It was cancelled again. We rescheduled again for today. We stayed home again. It was cancelled again at the end of the day. Three days of sitting at home not even able to do errands.
I have never written a bad review about any business, for starters, I just couldn t let this one go without warning people. If I could give negative stars I would. Absolutely horrible service. I just saw there lawn maintenance man. He did not even do half my back yard and didn t even touch the front yard with fertilizer. I d like to thank true green. For putting there brown dirt on what was once at least a decent looking lawn. Never prepay like I made the mistake of doing. Shame on them and there business. Run as fast as you can away from TruGreen, and find someone else. I give it 200 stars plus. Hire at your own risk!!!
I feel like I wasted a lot of money. While the weeds in my lawn did decrease, there are still a lot of areas i saw no change at all. I used this service for a year. And I plan on buying a spreader to tow behind my lawn mower. It will be much cheaper in the long run. My biggest issue, and why I gave such a low rating was because I paid for aeration and overseeding. They did it in the middle of a 2 week drought. I have 3/4of an acre of property, and there is no way i could have watered it. So, thanks Tru Green, but I wont be back.
