Artificial Turf and Paver Exchange in Camarillo

In August 2021 Turf Exchange installed their Rincon 80 turf in our backyard. We have greatly enjoyed the grass and it gets very appreciative comments from others due to the realism of the turf and the great installation. When asked, we have always sent folks to this company as we were extremely pleased with both the organization and the product. During the recent remodel of our front yard we wanted to get the same turf installed. We asked Turf Exchange to provide a proposal for the work due to our prior experience with TE but eventually selected a different landscape contractor as the scope of services was greater than those offered by TE as well as better pricing. Our contractor provided numerous samples from his existing turf suppliers but none were preferred to the TE Rincon 80 we had in the back. I agreed to a change order to obtain Rincon 80 turf from TE. As soon as the crew was laying out the first area it was apparent something was off. The bright green color was very different from the deeper, emerald green in our backyard. Needless to say the colors are far off and nothing we would have chosen had we seen it beforehand. (You can see the cutout circle of the new turf laying on top of the old turf in our backyard on the attached photo.) As soon as the problem was noticed we stopped further work on the turf with the majority of the Rincon 80 still on the roll. I asked my contractor to get to the bottom of the issue which he attempted the following Monday and from which he sent me a video of the conversation. One of his project managers visited the TE showroom with pieces of both the old Rincon 80 and the new Rincon 80. When questioned, one of TEs owners, Cory explained it was simply a dye lot issue. This answer would certainly bring into question the quality control of the manufacturer TE is using if their dye variations are that far apart. Then Cory changed his tack and explained it was a new, improved turf. I am fine with a better product in terms of materials and manufacturing processes but color change is not an improvement. It seems there should have been a name change for this newly colored turf as it is quite confusing to a prior customer. For example, when I buy a gallon of Navajo White from Dunn Edwards one year and then go back three years later, I expect their current Navajo White to be pretty much the same color. Later that day I contacted Cory to see what could be done about this issue. Having been a facilities and projects manager I am aware that errors and misunderstandings occur on every project. Usually, owners, contractors and suppliers try to resolve issues where there is not a clear, single point of responsibility. In this case I accepted some blame for making the assumption that Rincon 80 had not materially changed from the identically named product I had purchased three years earlier. The contractor had accepted some blame for not having enough on-site supervision to notice the difference in the old and new turf colors before laying the first piece. I suggested to Cory that TE had some blame for having a very different product but calling it by the same name on their website. All that said, Cory was adamant the fault lay totally with the customer and no returns, partial refunds, etc. would be given. Even when I said I would be willing to purchase the Santa Barbara 100 turf from TE (It is a much closer match to the old Rincon 80 BTW.) there was no concession offered. This was a lost sale opportunity but he reiterated I was stuck with the turf delivered. This was an unsatisfactory resolution to me, especially as a repeat customer that had been a strong supporter of Turf Exchange since 2021. Hopefully TE can make a change so others arent mislead by the old vs. new Rincon deception. As a fellow professional I always valued my companys reputation for customers satisfaction. In this situation Turf Exchanges mishandling of the situation has changed a loyal supporter and referral source to a very dissatisfied customer and company critic.

Turf Exchange also does tiles (pavers) and more. We recently had a contractor bail on us halfway through a major backyard project. The backyard was a disaster and only half-finished. We were lucky enough to find Turf Exchange. Albert (sales) and Pedro (site manager) came by to walk through the project and come up with a plan. What had been stalled for almost 4 weeks was completed in 5 days. They had a professional crew that showed up every day, worked hard, and cleaned up at the end of the day. We ran into a couple of challenges because the prior contractor had done something completely wrong, and Pedro worked through the issue with me until we could find a workable solution. I can wholeheartedly recommend Turf Exchange, not just because they saved our bacon, but because they were professional, courteous and competent in doing so.

1st class company....Albert Ferrua and his team did a great job installing over 900 sq ft of new artificial turf to replace old (11 yrs +) artificial turf in less than a day. Highly recommend!

The great thing about Turf Exchange is their showroom inside and their outside sample set-up. This was the 2nd time using them. From start to finish we couldn t be more pleased!

Highly recommend this company. I was amazed at how hard the installation team worked completing our backyard install. They removed existing ground cover and completed all stages of the turf install in one day!! It looks beautiful!! Even better, the dogs LOVE the turf! Didnt know what they would do with the change. The salesman Brad was nice, the turf seems good and the installation was good. I am used to the workers not speaking English. The supervisor Eric spoke marginal English that I could live with. But the most important thing for a contractor to do is the cleanup at the end of the job. I did NOT like that the supervisor disappeared without telling me he was leaving, and we were left with 3 workers that did not want to do a decent cleanup and were difficult to communicate with. I did come to understand that they were under orders to leave for another job and I was able to make it clear to them that they were not leaving until they finished this job. End result was that nobody was happy.

We had the team out today after witnessing a number of train wreck installations in our neighborhood with alternate vendors. Mayor Brad showed up during our needs assessment meeting and completely dialed into our aesthetic. The installation process today was completely spectacular. We have witnessed many really bad turf and paver installations with people getting totally ripped off in our community, thankfully, we are not one of those! They left the neighborhood better than they found it, installation took only 1 day and the Rincon turf is so wonderful to walk on barefoot, feels great! Wholeheartedly recommend Turf Exchange, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Yesterday Turf Exchange installed our landscape. Its a new built and we have six months to have the landscape finished. TE sent a team of nine guys. They are friendly and helpful. They are full time employees. Each person new what to do. What took our neighbors two to four weeks to accomplish. They achieved in one day. That included a putting green. We had turf and pavers. A couple of neighbors stated that if I didnt give them a heads up. They would of not known we had the work done. As messy as a job it is. They spent as much time cleaning up. Bradley (aka The Mayor) thanks for a wonderful job done and a beautiful product too. They designed their own turf.

From bid to installation was less than a week. Brad, the salesperson, explained the entire process and once the bid came in it was an easy decision. The work started on schedule, on time, and was complete before dinnertime. The worksite was left, as promised, cleaner than before work began. The final result is beautiful. I would have zero problem recommending Turf Exchange to install new artificial turf. We love the result.

Having admired the quality of the turf and the installation I saw in a neighbors yard, I asked that neighbor who he used and he gave me the company name. I then called Turf Exchange to set up an estimate and one of the owners (Brad) came out soon after. Now the install is complete and, like my neighbor, I am a very satisfied customer!

I had the Rincon 100 turf installed.The Rincon 100 is a very lush turf and Brad the coordinated recommended I roll some of the edges. Now that the installation is completed I think it would have looked better and a little more realistic if they had not rolling the edges. Over all a very nice installation. Updated 2/20/2024 Very happy to say that Brad at Turf Exchange reached out after read my comments. I was very impressed with Brads follow up and arranging to have his crew redo the edges. I would highly recommend this company for there dedication to customer service and workmen ship.

Highly recommend Turf Exchange. From the initial consult with owner, Brad to installation with the professional team, we are very satisfied. Brad presented many turf options for our outdoor renovation project. Lots of colors and styles to choose from including short and long grass blade varieties. We went to a long, deep turf with different shades of greens that looks very realistic and feels good underfoot. Our project involved cutting turn to fit between paver joints/channels and over new drainage pipes. The installation team did an excellent job. It is pleasing to the eye and will be very functional around our pool and outdoor living and dining spaces. Our big dog loves it already! They brought a large crew and finished 1,200 square feet of turf in one day. The Santa Barbara turf is thick, plush, and very natural looking. This is the only company you should consider for artificial turf.

They sent an amazing 4 man team to handle my front yard project. From start to finish they were non stop on the move. I had an excellent experience of cooperation with Turf Exchange company. I made the decision to replace my old natural grass with Santa Barbara 100 artificial grass and also install Spyglass Pro for Golf. The entire area was about 4,000 square feet. All work was done very quickly, efficiently and on time. Many qualified workers were involved in these works, including specialists in electrics and irrigation. The sales executive Albert Ferrua perfectly organized the preparatory and construction processes. It was clear that the team consists of professionals and everyone knows their job well. Every evening after the completion of work, all the space around my house was cleaned from dust and dirt. The quality of their material is simply excellent. In discussing the price of materials and work I had to compete with Albert, but he was flexible in this delicate and complex process and as a result I got the price I wanted. Great experience overall with Turf Exchange from the sales agent Alan Pittle who was very professional, very personable and helped us all the way from answering all our questions on the best product to choose for our needs and was always prompt until the job was fully completed. We were looking to put fake turf for our backyard primarily for our dog area (potty area) for a couple of dogs one big and one small with minimal maintenance and they suggested raincon80 as the owner had it for his dog area. Installation team led by Pedro were great and completed on time. The turf quality is great, less and easy to maintain, and so far it works well for us. From the beginning of the process of finding the right turf for my backyard. I met with several companies and got no less than five quotes, I found Maria, the sales agent from Turf Exchange to be professional and very helpful. The day of the install Maria got there early to go over the process again. Not long after the whole crew arrived on time and were ready to start. It seemed that everyone knew their role and by the afternoon it was done. The supervisor made sure the yard was cleaner than when they got there. I would recommend Turf Exchange whole heartily.

My dogs and I are really enjoying our new turf installed by Artificial Turf Exchange. The crew was quick, efficient, and did a great job installing, in addition of doing a thorough clean up. Brad was extremely helpful in teaching me about turf, dispelling the myths and enlightening me on the improvements of the product. My lawns were ravaged by the drought and the constant bunny hangouts. The dogs love lying and sunbathing on the turf and I no longer worry about them tracking dirt in the house. The grass looks nice. The men worked hard. I feel there is a problem with communication between the company and the customer. When schedules are changed, the customer should be notified. Also a lack of communication between the workers and the customer, part of which is language. I felt I was misunderstood and not been told about exactly what the men were doing. I also felt the company took on more than they should have, and should have stuck to only doing turf.

I highly recommend Turf Exchange, and will definitely use them again. I replaced all the grass in my back yard. I was skeptical when told the job would take one day. The installation team of approximately 10 people were on-time, well-orchestrated on completing all installation tasks, and attentive to leaving the area clean. Brad Halpern was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, provided locations where I could see various turf installations, and right-on when he suggested the use of Rincon 80. The end product looks great. On a different note, I did not get different quotes, but checked price ranges via the internet. With that said, I may have found a better price, but feel confident in saying I would not have gotten better customer service or installation.

Day of installation the turf supplier drops off the roll of turf with my name on it but was not what was ordered. After much time finding out what went wrong they reordered the correct turf Sage 100 After meeting back up a few hours later the base was delivered and the crew got started on work. After a long day of installation the crew used an air blower on all concrete and turf big mistake! This left the turf with funny looking divots or very uneven length turf. After over a week another crew came and added fill and repower brushed it again but this time used my hose and a lot of water to push off the fill off concret. I was told that the installation crew should not have used the blower on the turf so I did not get the Best crew . I was told it should get better and they would circle back with me to see ???

From the time that Brad came to my house to give me an estimate I knew this was the company I was going to use. When it came time to install my artificial turf the guys were on time, professional and listened to my suggestions when it came to the other areas in my yard that they weren t even putting artificial turf in. They brought 12 guys to do the job and got it all done in one day (around 2500 square feet). They were very clean and left the place better than when they arrived. The lawn itself is beautiful. They were able to answer any questions I had. There were two VERY minor issues I noticed after installation and they came the next day to rectify it quickly. These issues are so minor they are not worth mentioning. I can whole-heartedly recommend Turf Exchange. They are not the cheapest and they are not the most expensive, but I feel like it was a good value.

I have a several thousand square foot backyard that was all green grass. I finally internalized how severe our drought is and dont want to hasten our march toward zero water. I took fond pictures of my old grass the day before the install and new pictures when they were finished. I love this new grass and am SO very glad I made the decision to stop being a gross water user. The grass is excellent. So excellent, I paid for my daughter to have the same thing done and it, too, was a major upgrade. The company was very thorough in their communication, arrived on time and completed this massive job in one day! Amazing!!!! My 828 sq. ft. front yard was completed in one day. The workers arrived around 8 am and completed the installation by 4:30 pm. I ve received many compliments and a Golden Retriever liked it so much this the next morning that he flipped down twice and rolled on the turf, falling off the curb the first time.

Basically the did a fine job. One seam in the artificial turf shows. They tried to fix it but it still shows. They covered up one to the landscape drains which the fixed.

Cory and Turf Exchange did a terrific job on our lawn. We decided to augment our drought resistant landscaping with about 1100 square feet of artificial turf. Cory was very prompt in answering any of our questions, and he was always available by text messaging. His crew was very professional. They took out about 3000 square feet of dead lawn, put in the weed barrier and support for the artificial turf and capped all sprinkler heads that are now superfluous. The crew removed the old grass and installed the artificial turf in just one day! We are very pleased and have received many compliments on the job. We recommend Turf Exchange whole heartedly.

DO NOT INSTALL ARTIFICIAL TURF IN YOUR HOUSE IF YOU WANT CALIFORNIA GIVES YOU A REBATE FOR YOUR TURF REPLACEMENT. Synthetic or artificial turf is not an approved conversion option for the Turf Replacement Program. While these options do achieve a reduction in water use, it does not meet the sustainability goals of the program. I ve had a really bad experience with this company. They only install turf and do not work on anything else in your backyard or landscape. They delayed the installation time because they are having issues with their inventory. They are over priced ($10 sqf when the market is at $8 for labor and materials per sqf). When I realized about all that, I hired a different company and they refused to return my deposit after 3 days I confirmed my job. I tried to buy the product from them and they also refused to sell because they were out of stock and my refund was refused again. Be careful because there are a lot of bad companies with bad practices out there taking advantage of this terrible draught in California.

Turf exchange is the best! I had 5 other quotes with grass samples and turf exchange was several thousand dollars ( $2 sq foot) less expensive for the same turf quality. Although others said they would match I liked their upfront pricing! They scheduled me within 2 weeks and had over 2k sq foot job completed within 2 days. Michael Katz was very responsive by text even on weekends and evenings when I changed my layout and plans several times he always quoted me quickly. The morning of install he remeasured everything and confirmed my final layout with his team and myself and it went PERFECT! thank you!

After checking out several artificial turf installations we decided to go with Turf Exchange. Alan was very helpful with selecting Rincon 100, a 2 ½ tall grass with some color variation to make it look more like real grass rather than a green carpet. It looks fantastic and is so soft to the touch, even the installers could not resist laying on it during their brake. Our neighbors like it and keep comparing it to some other lawns that look like a carpet. We strongly recommend Turf Exchange and especially Alan if you want to stop cutting and watering lawns.

When the workers came(several of them) I had never seen anything like it, they worked from sun up to sun down almost without speaking. The result is a beautiful turf. The one thing to watch out for is the communication from the rep, don t expect that part to be fast and it felt like one department didn t communicate with the other. They arrived at 7:30 am and, except for a thirty minute lunch, worked nonstop until finished at about 4:30 pm. The crew was meticulous throughout the process and it was obvious they have worked together for a while, as there was no wasted motion. It was like watching a well choreographed dance team. The soil preparation, leveling, and the installation of the weed barrier and gopher wire was outstanding. But, truly impressive is the way the turf is laid out to look like one piece and the folding of the edges. The finished product came out beautiful and even better than our already high expectations! Our neighbors have been coming by and raving about our new turf lawn. There are no seams showing, as often has been the case with other turf lawns we have seen. Friends and family have mistaken it for an actual grass lawn. We researched and looked at a host of other turf lawns and there is no comparison. Turf Exchange has a number of turf styles to choose from of varying colors and length. They make many of their own and have additional from other manufacturers. We just had our turf installed this week, so I can t speak to the product s longevity, but the service was very good, the workers were efficient and tidy and our back yard looks great. We got quotes from two other well-rated companies, and one quoted us over $5,000 more than turf exchange and the other was less than professional. We are very happy with our choice and result.

We appreciated the lead installer s advice on the day of installation on the best design for a small putting green. The crew was professional, hard working and cleaned up everything afterwards with care. We were pleased that the job was completed in one day, rather than the two expected. It was a large team that worked a long day. Our front and backyard areas now still look like new after 7 months. We got quotes from 2 other companies, but went with them for the natural look and soft feel of the turf, addition of natural infill that reduces dog urine odors and a competitive bid. Also, it s a local, family run business.

It is a family own business that has been around for years. The rep and the workers were very nice people with great attitudes and very professional. We got dog grass Hydro Forest 98 and we talked with other companies that claim they had dog grass but it did not drain as well as this product. We had a tricky yard with a lot of angles and we installed low voltage lights into the grass. They are Pros and installed it in one day with no problems. We were worried if the grass would look fake! It doesnt!!! It looks very, very good!!! We should have done this a long time ago. If you see the square cut out its because we are putting a hot tub that is not in that spot yet on the pictures below.

Workers arrived on time and worked efficiently to remove old grass and weeds and underground irrigation hoses. Cory was easy to work with in selecting from a large variety of products and Santos was amenable to a few small requests and changes during the installation process. Overall I am extremely pleased with the job and the product . My yard is gorgeous!

The crew arrived at the time they said they would & worked together seamlessly. They were professional & efficient. The foreman consulted with us to be sure things were done the way we wanted. We expected the job to take 1 1/2 - 2 days, but they finished it in one day! They removed 2100 sq. ft. of sod & replaced it with 1700 sq. ft. artificial turf & 3 sq. yds. river rock. They were respectful of the property, cleaned everything up and the end result is beautiful! We could not be more pleased!

Delivery was pushed back 2 months, but when it finally arrived, it looked spectacular. The crew of 8 was very professional. They installed 3000 sf of Sage 100 in 2 days. When one section didnt seem to match the color of the rest of the grass, they went back to the warehouse to get more material from the same dye lot. The lawn looks terrific.

My front and backyards were a disaster, between the gophers and the dogs they had become dirt lots. Brad came out, gave me an estimate that easily beat Home Depot, had tons of samples, and helped me choose the best one for my situation. The morning of the install, Mitch came and walked my property with me to make sure we went over everything I wanted. They guys came and got right to work. They worked the ENTIRE day (7:30am-5:30pm) and even cleaned up the rest of my yard which wasn t even their mess! The turf came out beautifully and we couldn t be happier!

We had the best experience with Turf Exchange. I have already recommended them to two of our friends. Aside from giving us the best quote, they had the largest sample collection to choose from. Their workers are amazing. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are hardworking, conscientious, polite and friendly and we re very happy with the finished product.

Cory and the Turf Exchange team did a great job. We did a lot of research including two gardners and at least three companies and followed all their references. The people he recommended for hard-scaping did great work as well. We were especially concerned about the seams after seeing a number of botched jobs around the neighborhood. While there are three seams in the front yard they are completely invisible. The yard is 1,100 feet and the work was done in eight hours - so it was one and done. People we know who used their gardeners took months, and frankly, didnt really save any money. These guys are the way to go.

Where do I begin? We knew we wanted turf installed in our backyard, we heard of this company from a family member who also had a great experience so we decided to give them a call. Cory came out to do a free inspection and estimate. He was very patient, answered all our questions and brought MANY samples. Cory went above and beyond for us and made himself available for us when we had questions. He even came back a second time on the hottest day of the year just to do ANOTHER estimate with us because we had to modify the project. He was always polite and even had great ideas to add pavers and rocks. The day of the installation, 8 hard workers showed up to my house ready to get started! They did not leave until 7:30pm and I was SHOCKED to see the job was completed on ONE DAY! workers were polite, respectful and worked very hard. I could not believe how much the turf transformed my backyard from a dirt pit to a lush oasis! The workers cleaned up like magicians as if the were never there! Then comes to paying. Stacy was so patient with me trying to make this large transaction on my credit card. Heads up: if you plan to purchase with a credit card, make sure you contact your bank PRIOR to the transaction! The entire experience was first class, from the initial meeting with Maria to the completion of the project. It is obvious they had done this a time or two before. I had a small front yard converted, and the entire backyard turned into a putting green. Both were completed in just over a day, as promised, and look great. It took a bit longer than usual to get the turf in due to Covid-related supply line issues, but Maria kept me updated regularly so that wasnt a problem. All-in-all, I am very satisfied and would highly them to anyone looking to move to artificial turf.

Overall great experience with Turf Exchange. I dealt with Mitch and Mikey before the job and they were both very professional and straight forward with regard to pricing, options and scheduling and really helped a lot in our decision making. It was 6 months between initially contacting them and getting the work done since we had other projects that needed to be completed first. They worked with is throughout that time and visited our property multiple times to assess the project and advise us on how best to proceed. They did a mix of turf and decomposed/crushed granite to completely renovate our yard. The work was accomplished in one day and everything looks great!! Turf Exchange uses their own employees to do the work ensuring close quality control, whereas some other providers use outside contractors instead. Juaquin was the crew boss and he works side-by-side with the crew, he is onsite all day and together they work extremely well. They did a great clean up at the end of the day and our entire yard and patio were clean and ready to use when they left. I highly recommend Turf Exchange!!!!

From initial contact to project completion, Ive never worked with a more professional contractor than Brad Halpern and TurfExchange. Professional, upfront, honest, and in constant communication throughout. The wide range of turf options was amazing. We were given addresses of various locations where theyd done installations so we could see for ourselves the look and quality of their work. The crew that did our installation was outstanding. They left our property cleaner than before they started work. TurfExchange is slightly more expensive than most, but we are so glad we chose them. After meeting with 3 other companies, there was simply no comparison in terms of communication, service, and workmanship.

I am a real grass kind of person, the sales person Maria showed us different samples explained everything quite well so we decided it was worth a try. Installed it in one day and we couldn t be happier with the look and the feel of the grass. The big test was my 2 terriers they walked out to the grass did a couple of rolls and both peed and came in, they were happy the installers were professional and did a great job of piecing it together.

Called Cory and got an estimate (1st one) for 1400 sq ft. At first it sounded high so I got a few more. As it turned out Cory was FAR less expensive than any other estimate I got. I waited a few months before I decided to pull the trigger. When I decided to have the job done Cory told me the materials had gone up in price. About $700. Due to Covid and manufacturer issue. Went with 70 oz real turf. Emiliano and crew showed up at 0700 and were finished the same day. Lawn looks amazing and so far has survived three dogs, huge rain storm, and California sun. Drainage and attention to detail in regards to seams and the border board, installation around a tree and patio, tennis court, retaining wall are all top notch as far as aesthetics. Huge difference as far as no more watering, the dogs love it, granddaughter loves it and it looks so much better than the Mars scape it replaced. No mud, dust, mowing. I try to hose down all the pee spots and poop residual and so far no issues at all. Overall I am pleased with how it looks, the price I paid, and how it has improved life at my home. Turf was a great value. It was not cheap but well worth it.

Stacie, Mitch and Eva were all great to work with. Our initial meeting was with Stacie and she made the turf selection process so easy. We have 4 dogs that use a small dog run when were not letting them out into the full backyard, and Stacie narrowed down which Turf products would be best for our situation. Our coverage area was well under 300 square feet, which is their minimum to do the installation, however they recommended a terrific installer they had worked with before to do our job. The whole process went very smoothly and quickly from start to finish. We are very happy! And no more dirt, grass and mud tracked into the house and onto the furniture. Yay!
