PROPERTY WERKS in Calgary

Do not hire this company - they struggle with instructions and customer service is awful. Editing to respond to the comment below, which is intentionally misleading. Photos of the area to be cleared and very explicit instructions (including east/north directions and unit numbers) were provided in advance. I even offered to guide the person around to show exactly what needed to be done and was told that wouldn t be necessary because they understood the ask. It s not complicated; the walkway in question is a simple square around the building. When the error was made and the wrong property was cleared, there was no apology for the mistake, no effort was made to arrange for a fix in a timely manner despite having paid for express service, and the company suggested that we cancel because my expectations are unreasonable . Interestingly enough, we have since hired a different company, gave the same instructions and photos, and they have had no issue whatsoever with identifying the correct areas. It is not unreasonable to expect simple instructions to be followed and a sincere apology if a mistake is made.

Generally when there are small snowfalls they are fine. Anytime there is a large snowfall its 2-3 days before they clear it. It always shows on their app that they are x stops away, but that number often goes up instead of down. They do a good job when they show up, but they clearly dont have enough staff for larger snowfalls.

The recent snowfall was enormous. The crew did a fantastic job removing the snow from my driveway and walkways, including scrapping the ice and adding de-icer. All my neighbors are jealous they had to shovel their own. The money spent is well worth it!

I ordered snow removal service and they always did a good job on cleaning the snow within 24 hours!

I was hopeful when booking this company for lawn care and snow removal services on an annual basis. The communication is effective and you get pictures when service is done. But after a snow storm in Calgary, they removed snow from the wrong address. And after I advised of the issue, they went to the wrong address AGAIN. They do not have a functioning phone line and 2 days after a snow storm the sidewalk, driveway and front walkway is completely covered in ice (and there is an elderly individual living at the address). This is unsafe and also ineffective, given that we communicated the issue. Very disappointed in the service received. Likely will cancel this service given the fact that I made the issue known, gave a chance to correct and it is still unresolved.

Pretty disappointed with the service. We were new clients getting the monthly snow removal services, first day they went to the wrong address and shoveled the wrong property, when called (no answer as you cannot get someone on the phone and they are not authorized to call people back) so had to email and responded mentioning they would go the following day and again went to the wrong address even though confirmed the property address. Was told by a rep that we should get the upgraded package if we want it done. I wouldnt recommend, poor communication as well. It wont let me comment on the response so Ill just add it here. yes the 2 months of service of $552 was refunded as no service was actually provided, in my opinion thats the minimum that should of been done. Why pay for a snow removal if its not getting done. And I wont be taking this ad down, even though we were refunded others should be aware that this is something that can happen with this company. I had a great experience with Property Werks. I booked lawn mowing for the season, which was as simple as ordering a pizza - fully online. The team was very responsive all season, and kept me updated each mowing day, in case there were any delays or they needed to reschedule (due to weather) or otherwise. Everyone was great. We had 2 other companies give estimates, one was about 150%, and the other over double. Once the work started, it was done in less than 2 days. Everything was cleaned up and I can actually use my back gate now.

I think there was only one time during that 3 day snowfall that my neighbor felt sorry for me and he shoveled my walk before your crew arrived because the snow was quite deep. I really liked the job done by Taylor P as she showed up whenever it was required. Sadly she seemed to be missing the last few times we required your service but the replacements were fine. Property Werks have done a great job shoveling out our driveway and walkway. At times they have even put salt down on the walkway if it was a little icy after they have shoveled the walkway.

I loved that I knew what days work would be done, the notifications, and the follow-up photos. I look forward to booking PW for spring and fall clean-ups for my property next year.

I did a lot of research to try to find the best lawn care company for the best value, and found property Werks as a good candidate; they did not disappoint; I used their weed service; they were punctual, and both their administrative and field staff were very reliable and helpful at communication; my lawn, rock beds, and stone paths are now mostly cleared of weeds without me having to do back breaking tedious work; they gave me and my neighbour a great price, definitely less than their competitors and about the same as if I had applied the weed treatment myself, except I didn t have to spend the time; so when you get the same, probably better service, as the competitors at better price, why wouldn t anybody choose Property Werks?

2023/2024 - was our first contract with Property Werks and their service was timely and efficient.

Just finished my fist season of service from Property Werks. I was impressed with the lawn care. And the email notifications before and after service was completed. I tipped my lawn care specialist several time over the summer as he went above and beyond by clearing my alley growth, and the nettles at the side of the house. Perhaps the best review I can give Property Werks is that I have signed up for their year round service starting in October.

Property Werks completed our fence and we couldn t be happier. The crew had it done within four days, including our request for a custom fence. They were professional, easy to work with and did a great job! I highly recommend them.

Fence was done while I was away for a time, so my kids are my eyes and they give it an awesome thumbs up which is excellent for me to see and hear via pics and videos. This job was done when said and completed in a timely manner. According to my kids it looks great and is a solidly built fence and gates and nicely cleaned up on completion. Thanks to Sean for coordinating and communicating with both my neighbors on the shared portions of the build and the extras they wanted also.

This fence job was done with great detail and amazing effort. The old post were all removed and all the cement with them. Then all the new post put up in solid rows. The doors and the hardware work fabulously. Would recommend company for future fence work for sure!

Needed service for my 77 year old Aunt in Markham who was recently widowed. Service started off okay, but by the second week they were already postponing the service. Third week was postponed 8 days, fourth week 9 days. Its been two weeks since their last service visit and the lawn has not been cut. Ive been given different excuses (equipment problems, personal problems, weather), and told that they were doing their best. It sucks when my Aunt is looking out her window and seeing a mess of a lawn out there as a reminder that her husbands not around to take care of it. Very disappointed that the service is not reliable.

Used them for spring clean up since 2021 with great results. This year was the worse spring cleanup Ive ever had. My lawn was damaged as a result of scalping and gouging and some flowerbeds not blown out. So disappointing!

I cancelled my appointment with them in 2023 and they charged my credit card this year- 2024-without my consent. I am very upset!!! Reply to your response: 1) I NEVER was your client on first place so there was no point for you to keep my card information and decide to renew it just because I didnt reply? Excuse me, can you explain WHY someone whose FIRST appointment NEVER materialized and CANCELLED the first day will still be in your system and you choose to renew it because she didnt reply???? 2) Instead of writing a long email blaming how this was your system and MY PROBLEM of not canceling (cancel what when I NEVER worked with you??), you could have used your customer service and conflict resolution skills by simply apologizing and not dragging it this long and all the way here. Background story for those wondering what happend : I was looking for an affordable fertilizing company and came across their site one year ago. Filled out online (hence why credit card information). Then I spoke to a woman over the phone and said I did not need to fertalize my backyard but if they already charged me for it, instead I would appreciate if I get my grass trimmed (I barely have any grass in backyard due to my garage). The lady said it was impossible, and I asked to cancel everything and she said she did. So far, everything good, and no issues. Until I checked my credit card yesterday and saw they made a withdrawal of 51.45, which made me feel shocked and upset because they SHOULDNT have done this because I NEVER hired them. Instead of an apology, Christine sent me a long email explaining why I was charged and how I could have cancelld it. WHAT TO CANCEL??? imagine you went to a restaurant and you almost ordered your food but then you changed your mind and left. Now a year later, since the restaurant had your credit card info decides to charge you, what????? Yes I will receive my refund, but as you guys see for yourself their customer service, for someone who is NOT even a customer but rather a victim of their so called system problem, totally sucks!! 2 stars for Trinas quick reply and action. Otherwise, I would put ZERO.

My neighbours and I hired property werks to build fences along our property lines. Sean was very professional, and personable on site and answered questions/replied to questions quickly. Great guy! I was equally happy with the crew that showed up to do the work. They were all polite, professional, personable and worked very hard. I am super happy with my fence. It finished level, solid on the ground, tight to the house/property line and fairly close to the ground which will make keeping the dog in the yard easier when Im finishing up my landscaping projects. The price was definitely right as well, I recieved quotes from 6 other contractors and only 1 other quote came in close to property werks. I feel like property werks offers extremely great value in an economy where gouging has become acceptable. Kudos property werks!

Backyard was in bad shape having done no fall clean up and then winter wind and snow damage, the guys did a superb job in cleaning, aerating and bagging all of the waste ready for city pickup, less than 2 hours, highly recommend!

We hired Property werks last year for our backyards spring clean-up, and we were thoroughly impressed with their exceptional service. They didnt cut any corners and went above and beyond our expectations. We were so pleased with their work that we wouldnt hesitate to hire Propertywerks again for this years spring clean-up.

Slightly higher cost than some other providers but speedy, thorough service, great customer support and quick to fix if there are any deficiencies (which are rare). Really like the communication from the team to know when service is scheduled, and the easy website for booking new services or reviewing invoices.

Theyre very good at keeping the clients informed as to when they expect to get to everyone and provide a photo report of the service they provided.
