This business has recently received some bad/negative reviews due to an incident that happened at my home and I was made aware that video of the event that was shared to a small audience has now found its way here to Google reviews attached to negative reviews and 1 star ratings. I have not asked anyone to negatively review this business on my behalf and now feel that it is only appropriate for me to set the record straight as the homeowner who was actually involved. Yesterday (10/3) while spraying my yard for ticks an employee of this company ran over a political lawn sign I had displayed in my front yard. I called J&D to let them know what had happened from my perspective and to see if we could have a conversation about what happened from their perspective so that we could all have the same information and work together to understand what happened and how to resolve things amicably. I wasn’t able to get anyone on the phone (I believe it was past 5 pm at that point on a Friday) so I left a voicemail. Later that night the video of the incident was shared to a small audience directly before going to sleep for the night. The next morning, today (10/4) I woke up to find that the video had been shared on different social media platforms by people I do not know. The original post, which was only the second post from that account that had under 20 followers, had been interacted with by over 1.5k people. I understand that when you share something like that video with others there is always the possibility that it might end up being seen by a much wider audience than expected but I really did not think it would have been seen by more than 50 people and maybe gotten two or three comments giving opinions about the intentionality of the incident. Before noon today, so less than 24 hours after the incident, John the owner of J&D, returned my call. Let me be clear: the conversation was very friendly, upbeat, and agreeable and John very much came across as genuine in his concern for me and my lawn care experience with his company being a good experience for me as the customer as well as his employees who come out and provide me this service. John was immediate in his actions to resolve things and spoke to the employee who had been working on my lawn the day before, said employee then contacted me and left me a voicemail offering what I feel like is an appropriate resolution to the whole thing. My experience with John and the J&D crew was a very quick and positive response from both the owner and the employee directly involved which led to a quick and positive resolution. This is the way that misunderstandings and conflict should be handled by a company. I do not believe that the experience I’ve described here deserves to be given a negative review especially when those reviews are from people who have no direct involvement with the initial incident or its resolution. Please, do not judge this company in a negative way for an experience that was by far the most positive and friendly customer service experience a person can have. Also, for what it’s worth, I have been using this company for my lawn for a long time now and I have never had a problem with them. I have never had a reason to complain about the services being provided and before Friday had only once had to reach out because I had a question about a charge and again John returned my message promptly and provided an answer that made perfect sense and answered my question entirely.
This is our first year with J&D. John has done a great job getting our lawn back in action. It's now growing where it hadn't before and looks great. Highly recommend John's services.

After 2 years of taking care of our yard which is in the forest, it became overwhelming and we turned to J&D Landscaping to groom our yard. They have quickly transformed our yard from a shaggy green forest to a beautifully groomed yard all trimmed and mulched. All of our friends are amazed at the transition. J& D Landscaping is an awesome .They did a wonderful job on my walkway. They only took 3 days from tearing walkway out to finish. The workers are very polite and thorough. Everything was cleaned after each time they came. The owner is fantastic to work with and very knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again.
John and his crew take pride in their work. I had asked John for some ideas to dress up the front of the house which had some old grey stones with weeds and wasn't edged. Just looked non appealing. Told him I didn't want to spend a fortune but definitely needed something done. He had some great ideas and was within my price range. His crew came down within a day or 2 after speaking with John and did a terrific job. Already got compliments from my neighbors.

JD Landscaping did my spring cleanup this week. It is the most outstanding job and attention to detail that Ive ever had. My yard and lawn is ready to go. Leaves, branches, pine needles, all gone. Garden beds edged and prepared for the spring. Decorative grasses trimmed and so much more. As long as I live here, JD Landscaping will be my only choice for landscaping services and lawn care.

We are using J&D for ongoing lawn care and had them do a large project to refresh our entire property (build flower beds, rock garden, install plants around the property, etc). We were previously using a large well know national chain for lawn care, and we are already seeing better results with J&D. John, Ryan and Jordan are all very knowledgeable and professional. We gave them some basic color schemes and trusted their design ideas. The project came out great and we will be using them again for future projects.

Even though I wasn t the best at providing detailed information on what I wanted, the team exceeded all my expectations. I was particularly impressed with their meticulous approach. Despite facing a challenging task with numerous large weeds, they opted to tackle the job manually. Instead of just cutting them back and risking regrowth, they painstakingly pulled out every single weed to ensure they wont make an unwelcome return next year. Their dedication to quality work is evident, and it s refreshing to see such commitment in today s fast-paced world. Additionally, their communication was top-notch. John and his team at J and D are some of the best service providers I have. I own several properties and businesses and work with a lot of contractors and sevice providers and J and D one of the few I never have to worry about. They helped me establish turf, maintain the lawn, planting and mulching as well as oversee, fert, the whole none yards! He used very high quality products and equipment and hires very good people that represent the business well. Ive been a J&D customer now for 2 years this year we needed extra care to our lawn, Owner John and team where just amazing, spoke to John on Monday and he stated they wouldnt putting down loom or re seeding until 3 weeks. Not this team by Friday the work was completed in same week!!!! Would recommend there business for any and all lawn care needs...
Asked to get a quote on lawn care. Was told Armando would be by on the Thursday before Memorial day. Will have a price by the end of holiday weekend. Never heard back from them. Great way to run a business.
We have been using the WRONG lawn care company for too long. My husband found J&D and we are incredibly impressed after just one treatment. J and D landscaping worked tirelessly during 90 degree weather this week. They removed many over grown shrubbery and weeds as well as trimming tree limbs. After removal, they perfected the beds with new loom and mulch. It was a fair price for so much work and completed quickly considering the temperatures outside. John was available at all hours to help guide us and discuss options. It is a relief to work with a company that honors its word and shows up!

Called J&D twice for two different Jobs repairing, regrading and reseeding customers lawns. Darlene got back to me within an hour of my call. They were responsive from the first day i called, assessed the job right away and worked with me in getting it scheduled and repaired in a very timely manner. Will be using them again without question if the need ever arises in the future!
After a new driveway was installed John came the next day to rake and seed. Very responsive.

We have been using J&D for many years to aerate and seed our lawn. The lawn always looks great and they use a good quality seed. We used them to sod the backyard in the past and the job came out great. This year we asked them to create a mulch bed down both sides of the driveway. It came out fabulous! The crew was polite, created the beds just as we asked and cleaned up very well. No dirt was left in the driveway, it was neat as a pin when the job was done. I couldn t be more satisfied with the work this company has. Done . I was disabled for over a year and my grounds showed it. The J&D crew are professional and courteous, they came in and restored my shrubs lawn and flower beds to their glory again, they are maintaining my grounds on a regular basis , so grateful. I will be using them this winter for my snow removal needs. I should have called them sooner for the peace of mind. And The neighbors are talking about my grounds again.

After the cleanout, I had John take care of my lawn because I wanted to start to have a good lawn again. Turns out I had grubs, and he came out the next day with some stuff to get rid of it and put some seed down to give me back my lawn. Been signed up for fertilizing, fall cleanups and mowing and couldnt be happier with the way my lawn looks now!

Johns team, headed up by Ryan, just spent 3 full days of hard work at our home. They did a phenomenal job weeding, edging, pruning and mulching multiple beds around the home and the whole perimeter of the yard -tackling overgrown ground cover, shrubs and trees.The final day they also revised the stone beds around the whole foundation to wrap the project up. The before and after results are nothing less than amazing and we are so pleased with their professionalism and attention to detail. John and everyone involved were great to work with and very responsive to our questions and comments - working with us at every step. I would definitely recommend them for the quality of their work.

Our lawn looks immaculate when he is done cutting and trimming it, as well as, all grass clippings and debris are cleared off the street, driveway and our back patio. He did a great job when we had him take out some old mulch and clean up the beds. J&D even leveled off my front yard with 5+ yards of loam and it looks great!! We had the same great results when we had him remove old mulch beds and plant new grass. He does our Spring and Fall clean ups for us. Weve had John from J&D work on our yard for a few years now, and its never looked better. From the seasonal fertilizing to the aerating and over-seeding, everything he does keeps the grass growing back great. And they are great with larger jobs as well. We had them come out and fill in some space in our yard and spread seed. They came in and were done even before I could get home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs yearly lawn care or any other landscaping needs.

J & D provided quality lawn and landscaping services to a property that had not been well maintained with regard to the grounds. In addition to lawn care, there was substantial pruning, edging, and mulching. The results were clearly evident and well received by both myself and my neighbors. John was very easy to deal with and provided clear advice as to specific items and checked with me to determine my satisfaction. His crew came out until all of the agreed upon work was completed along with some additional touches. I recommend this company without hesitation and believe that they are capable of dealing with any lawn care issue.
Great service and the results are awesome. Used to use Scotts fertilizer, which is good, but J&D gives better results. Their trimming and pruning is 100% better than my work and I used to landscape in college!
