Make sure if they come to your neighbours you tell them not to remove the greenery that s been growing on your fence for years otherwise they will cut everything down with absolutely no consideration for the person who s been maintaining their side of the fence for 20 years!

The grass is cut unevenly with thatched of long grass in many places. Dead grass on driveway. Long grass left at fence line. First cutting of the year. Dead branches left lying in the grass. We are at 5088 New St. New St Mews and I definitely have the correct company. Come take a look

Jim and his team did a fantastic job on replacing our beloved boxwoods that were victims of the province wide blight with new hedges that I am sure we will enjoy for years to come. In addition, we had some rather difficult repair work done to our Brussel stone driveway, front entrance and back patio. The repairs were great!

Hired Hire The Gardener for snow removal, 1st snow fall last Thursday 6 cm and no one showed up. Called the office, got a voice mail to send an email!Jesse called ASAP, went on site , shoveled, salted and addressed my issues. Impressive

They show up, I ll give them that, however their grounds crew/employees need some serious retraining. From mowing lawns too short, to weed whacking plants and young trees to death, to not ploughing/shovelling walkways properly or at all. It s as if they don t care and have no pride in the work they do. I get it, but if you hate your job that much just leave, don t take it out on the properties you re supposed to be taking care of.

We use The Gardner for our lawn care at our church, St. John s Anglican Church-Nelson. A week before our Christmas Market on Nov. 18th I had a concern about the long grass at the end of our parking lot. As Christmas Coordinator I was expecting our volunteers to park on the grass but I was concerned about parking there. One of our Property Committee members asked Jim Edmonds of The Gardiner if they could cut it before Saturday and Jim made a point of not only cutting the grass but they did an outstanding job of grooming our whole property paying special attention to the front lawns and flowerbeds in front of our Parish Hall were they knew a first impression is important to visitors coming to the market. Their work is exceptional and the crew is dedicated to their work and it shows.

The Gardener Landscaping transformed our underwhelming backyard to one which is stunning. We are very pleased with the entire process, from the design and consultations throughout the process to the final outcome. The leadership and extensive, well-organized crew, worked diligently which enabled the timelines to be very reasonable. The Gardener provided an exceptional service and this company is highly recommended for landscaping.

A big thanks for coming to the school and teaching all the kids on how to work a skid steer and going over safety procedures. The students really enjoyed the day. Thanks for your continued support of students and your giving back to this community.

Not bad work when they do show up but their customer service is dreadful. I have been In contact a few times to get my landscaping finished and all I keep hearing from their supervisor is that we will be there this week heard this three times in the last three weeks and nobody has come to finish the job. At this point I wouldn t recommend The Gardener.

Our garden had gotten overgrown and beyond our ability to maintain easily. The Gardener crew came in and put things back in order. Not only did they tidy things up they had great suggestions and assistance for making the garden better. The team was professional, hard working and just plain lovely. We are enjoying our outdoor space again and plan to have them keep us on track with regular maintenance. We are so happy we found them and couldn t be happier with the results.

No reply calls regarding warranty work. Have called several times and told I would receive a call back. It has now been several months. To top it off, I have used them for two different projects. Not impressed with the lack of care for their customers.

Mediocre craftsmanship. No eye for details. Damaged my property and my neighbors. They installed river rock for some part of my property and they did a pathetic job. Their cost is high but standard is poor. I am not going to use their services ever again and not recommend them.

We had our front walkway and steps redone by The Gardener. They did a beautiful job. Last year I started noticing a problem with the stairs. It took quite a few phone calls to get any response. I have spent the whole summer trying to get them to come out and and do the repairs which I was told I would have to pay for. At first they responded with empty promises and then they finally didn t respond at all. I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. Pat

We had a major landscape renovation of our backyard patio done by The Gardener Landscaping. The design was incredible and beyond our imagination and the installation was excellent. We hired this company to clean up our yard and fix some grass. After waiting forever for them to come they showed up for 30 min and left. I had to call them to come back and do the job properly. After a 2and time the job still wasnt done. To top it all off they never returned to fit the grass. Horrible.

I can not say enough about the quality and service! The primary carpenter was here every day, and built the fence like he was doing it in his own backyard. It was impeccably built. Incredible value for my money. Will definitely call again for any future needs!

Never worked with this location, however received a call from head office about another location of Jnelandscape which is not a well organized location. This location was concerned which is appreciated.

I find the work that Jim, Fiona and their crew do, to be absolutely fantastic. Their prices are fair and the work is beautiful. They are very friendly and professional and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for landscape and/or construction work. You wont be disappointed.

I hired this company to do a landscaping job in my backyard. I was extremely satisfied with the result. The fencing and landscaping turned out perfectly

We hired The Gardner to completely re-do our front landscaping which was originally done 20 years ago. Our flagstone walkway was crumbling and we weren t even sure what the concrete would be like underneath. Jim guided us through the entire process and we were fortunate to be able to use the original concrete. The new flagstone walkway and front porch area looks spectacular!! Jim also recommended that we modernize the look by putting ledger stone behind the garden area. This would also keep the mulch from running over into the pebble stones. The result looks amazing! We were highly impressed with the workmanship and the crew s attention to detail. We also decided to replace all of the plants across the front. Again with Jim s advice, we replaced the Yews but changed our Japanese Red Maple to a Bloodgood Japanese Maple. Everything looks beautiful and we couldn t be more happy. The work was completed in a timely fashion and the guys were super nice to work with. We would highly recommend The Gardener to anyone!

Hired their service for a fall and winter clean up. Basically identical to the review before. Quick to take money and sign contract and then do nothing. Beware

Weve had a lot of experience with contractors over the last year, most of which left us over spent and underwhelmed...until we hired The Gardener, specifically Jim and his stone mason Eric. From start to finish, the quality of work, customer service and work ethic was exceptional. These guys are hardworking, honest, and really focused on making the customer happy. As with any renovation, issues arise. Its how these issues are dealt with that makes the experience most memorable. In our case, despite how small our concern, Jim was quick to address it and put our minds at ease. We were so happy with the exterior stone work they completed for us that we hired them for 2 more jobs (and a few more to come).

We had a terrible experience with this company. Im only giving one star because I have to! My husband hired them to perform general spring lawn maintenance (aerate, top coat, overseed). After arriving unexpectedly, two workers top coated our yard with terrible soil (looked like backfill), sprinkled some seed and left our yard looking worse than when they arrived. When we received the bill and complained, we were told it was our fault there was no improvement because we werent watering (despite the buckets of rainfall this spring and yes, we watered on top of that). When we said that no aerating had been done, they sent a young worker out (who told us he had never used the tool before) to do the job. We told him not to, since we werent convinced it would make a difference, had no faith it would be done properly and we wanted to speak to the owner - despite not performing the service, the company still sent us another bill! Do not hire this company - terrible customer service and workmanship.

Not happy at all with my experience with these guys. Poor customer service, poor communication, poor product, and inexperienced workers. I had hired them because I thought they would provide me with some honest advice and the help my lawn desperately needed. Instead, I felt all they cared about was getting paid.

Awful customer service - gladly takes your money and then does not actually ever come back to complete the work. When you try to follow up (6 phone calls and messages) to an answering service Jim is supposed to call you back and never actually does. Save your money find a reputable company to deal with.
