I had previously used Absolute for fence repair, and I am very happy I contacted them this time to assist with refreshing my guest bathroom. Gerald was great when he came to quote on the job - when he learned I also wanted a trellis removed, he did it right then for me! And, I feel I was so lucky to get Marcel to do the work. I really liked that one person would do it all - drywall patching, drywall repair, and hanging my new toilet paper holder, towel rack and mirror. And, then paint the bathroom. Marcel did a fabulous job. He is meticulous, detail oriented, and ensured there were no flaws. He was also extremely patient, as we worked on how to position my new mirror! And, he is super tidy and even cleaned the bathroom prior to leaving. Thank you, Marcel, for making the bathroom beautiful.

Drivers need to learn how to drive cutting people off and speeding through construction zone while workers are working. Following way to close in the construction zone. Vehicle license DADR 195 really disappointing to see!

The team from Absolute Home Services was superb. The lawn was re-graded and sodded very professionally, actually beyond my expectations. The job site cleanup was great as well.

I had a small job that I was hoping they could do. Cleaning the eaves troughs. I sent them photos and measurements, saying since it was a small job, I would make it easy for them to quote. Nope, not possible to do that, according to them. So I had to stay home from work so that Jeff G could come over and see it in person. He came over for less than 5 minutes, stood in the same place the photos were taken, and didnt even take measurements. Then, nobody ever got in touch with me again. I emailed Jeff 3 times, as well as their secretary. I also called twice and left messages. Nobody every got back to me. Sorry I wasted my time, you will be too.

Run don t walk if you are seeking hardscape quotes from this company ! We had a deck and stone work done last year .. by far the worst experience I ve ever had with a contractor ( if you can call them that ) .. not even a year old job and you have to see the stone work condition.. the deck is another nightmare which I won t even get into here .. did they make attempts to repair things ! Sure ! Does that mean they knew what they were doing .. no ! Were we ever satisfied no ! Did they offer any compensation back NO ! We had to give up any warranty with them to get back a very small portion .. and trust me .. happy to never see those purple trucks in my drive way again .. I wasn t even going to share my experience.. however now that patio season has started and upon doing our clean up I m not surprised how things have held up .. the crews are nice enough people for sure however I would question their skill level .. I sadly made the mistake using these people after a referral from a neighbour who s equally had significant issues .. which they continue to come back and repair .. I was happier to never see them again just because you see great reviews don t always trust them .. ask to see qualifications of the crew that they may send .. I m sure for basic type repairs they are fine .. but if your looking for a complete project I would caution you ! I never write a reviews good or bad .. but this job they did ruined my last summer .. which for a skilled contractor should have taken a month - that job took them from June 26 to end of October! And now having to call another contractor to come and repair more things that haven t held up over winter is insane to me ! Worst 70k spent ! I m sure too they will write their standard concern response as I see they do ! And how they tried to fix the problems and what they call redo the job ! But I assure all those reading this .. that is still not a 70k standard more a DIY guy ! So please choose wisely based on services you do with them .. south Mississauga area !

We hired Absolute Home Services to repaint our offices (approx. 2,000sq.ft.). Gerald was very thorough in getting an understanding of what we wanted and provided us with an estimate very promptly. The workers that came to do the paining were very friendly, competent and efficient. We had some high ceilings and difficult to access area, but they were unfazed and got the job done in 4 days. We were very happy with the finished product.

We had our deck cleaned, sanded and re-stained. Scheduling was easy and everything was done as promised. Tom did an excellent job.

John and his team at Absolute did a fantastic job on my back yard. The work was primarily spring cleanup after much neglect on our part. I had also asked them to transplant some rose bushes; they did this, although they died right away. John offered to replace them with new rose bushes. The team also returned to do some further clean up. I would definitely use them again, and can highly recommend them.

Absolute Home Services did a fantastic job fixing our stairs and refinishing our front deck. Looks brand new. They were clean, courteous and efficient. Job was finished on time and no extra costs or surprises.

Our paint job was done very well. This was our 3rd time using Absolute home services and we will use them again!

We used Absolute for a handyman job and were very happy. But our deck re-staining project (solid colour) didnt go well. They emphasized the importance of the deck being dry. When the painters came, it had rained earlier that week and there was rain forecast for the next day. The painter said that the stain would dry in a few hours and it wouldnt be a problem. A couple of days later we saw bubbles forming and stain peeling. They agreed to come back to fix the problem, but this time came only a day after it rained and with rain forecast within hours. Again, the stain started bubbling and peeling. We had at least 8 spots all over the deck like this. I dont think the deck was properly prepared either time. They offered to come again but I didnt want more of the same. They declined my request for a partial refund.

Absolute provided excellent workmanship on our porch and deck projects.

Subpar. I hired Absolute Home Services to mud and sand new drywall. I give them only 2 stars for that. I assumed I was hiring someone that really knew what they were doing but they did a very poor job. It s apparent they didn t really know how to do a good job at it. Even after I tried to fix the spots that looked terrible the painter I subsequently hired also tried to fix the problem, but in the end we are left with uneven, poorly mudded areas. According to what we ve learned watching You Tube videos of experts, they didn t put on enough mud, wide enough and then they over sanded. They painter told me that they wouldn t have paid them. I also hired them to tile a bathroom including a shower. That job wasn t too bad. Because of my growing lack of confidence in them I hired someone else to install glass shower doors and when they came out to measure they told me the shower threshold is tilted the wrong way so that water will flow out onto the bathroom floor instead of back into the shower stall. They would probably do an ok job if you aren t looking for quality finishes.

Absolute did an EXCEPTIONAL job painting our garage doors, our front door, the interior of all our windows and a high awkward exterior trim at the front of the house. The team was careful while painting various parts of our house and always did a great job of cleaning up at the end of the day. They were clear with post painting care instructions and made sure we were satisfied with their work. The house looks fantastic--and the garage doors look like new ones! It really gave our house a much needed facelift :) The team at the office were always super professional and the communication was always clear and efficient. Everyone was always on time and ready to work. I definitely recommend Absolute for anyone looking for great home service and painting, at a great price! DO NOT USE - ABSOLUTE-LY NOT I hired Absolute Home service to stain my deck, and it was a disaster from the start to finish. The account person that handled my job was very unprofessional, and made me feel like my work on my deck didn t matter. They made me wait weeks for a job to start after they came, and prepped by moving all of my furniture off my deck which meant I didn t have a Bbq available for Mother s Day. The painter came and started doing the job staining, but stopped halfway and now my deck looks like it was stained in two different jobs. I was also told that I needed to wait for him to finish the job because another project took precedence over me, even though I was told I needed to wait for someone else s job to finish at the beginning before my project started. At the end of the job after the entire job wasn t even finished completely as they missed a bunch of spots, they also left my furniture downstairs, making me have to do it all by myself, which when I complained the vice president came and help me lift everything back up and he even cleaned the mess that the painter left. I absolutely do not recommend using absolute. Go elsewhere.

Absolute Home Services staff - from their office (Sara & others) to project manager (Steven) to workers (Vern, ) are courteous, professional and skilled. In 2021 AHS did a great transformation: lighting, walls, bathroom, creation of 2 closets, and all with new flooring. Therefore in 2023 I did not hesitate to hire AHS again to install lighting, update heating vents, repair drywall and a window well and, of course, paint. I HIGHLY recommend Absolute Home Services!!

The employees who were sent to work on my front and back yard were good and knew what had to be done. They were fast and efficient. The soil used was not new and I could tell the difference between the new and old soil. Triple mix has to be new to nourish the plants. I am a bit disappointed.

We had the company sand and stain our deck. It was a great experience from start to finish. We were so pleased with the quality of their work.

We contracted them to take care of our lawn, at a high price (which i agreed to) BUT after the spring cleaning the regular weekly service was terrible, they do not trim properly, they cut the grass too law in spite of asking them not to, they did not turn the mulch in the beds even though i paid extra... BUT WORST OF ALL IS THAT THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO TEXT OR PHONES...I called and text John (the person responsible for our area) several times, initially he responded after that not one single response, then called Jason (the manager) and left two messages , no answers... very frustrating , the one thing they do well is send the bill every month on time BUYERS BE WARE

Our experience with Absolute Home Services was excellent. They were timely and professional with their visit to assess the problem provide solution and quote it. The handyman that showed up to assess the job and ultimately repair it explained the issue with simple , understandable language and logical reasoning. He inspired confidence to solve a leak we have had for over 25 years and 2 failed attempts by others to fix it. Simple not expensive solution was provided and so far after a few rainstorms - problem seems to be solved - no more leak. Thank you

I made ABSOLUTELY clear what I wanted to be accomplished, and the failures were so significant that I would not trust Absolute to re-enter and correct their mess. For example, the ceilings throughout were to be sanded, wiped and painted. They were never sanded. Had they been sanded, the paint would typically last 5 - 10 years easily. Instead, I have a two-year guarantee on the ceilings. What a joke! The floors in the living room, dining room and kitchen were not protected with drop sheets. There were paint drops all over the floors. The dust was phenomenal. The stove, refrigerator, counters and floors were covered in plaster dust. Behind my refrigerator was such a sad sad performance. The wall was partially painted. Where there was some loose plaster, they painted around it. Just pathetic. My sheer curtains were tied in knots instead of being properly protected like a professional painter would. I will never trust these people again. ABSOLUTELY. $4576.50, too much. I DO NOT reach out to corporations that are unaware and unconcerned about their business practices and/or their employee activities. ABSOLUTELY BLOCKED. Have a great day.

Then, AHS brought in a great handyman, Vern, who replaced a water-damaged wooden sliding-door frame and a marble shower door enclosure, and added a concrete step to the front porch. The team were fast, neat and precise in their work. They went over and above, thinking outside the box to find solutions to save cost. The finish is superb and we are delighted with the results.

Absolute replaced my boathouse deck and did a fantastic job. Project Manager Derek gave me options with pros and cons, and we ended up replacing the water damaged plywood+membrane with 2x6 decking, and are extremely happy. We have used Absolute for many years, primarily for lawn and garden maintenance, spring and fall cleanup, lawn care, and mulching of gardens. Unlike some other companies, they employ a full time, knowledgeable, gardener who loves what she does and cares for our garden as if it were hers. During this time we have also hired Absolute to reset interlocking brick and repair a damaged pergola. If we have ever had an issue with service, they have made it right. Recommended them to my neighbours who use them as well for their lawn maintenance and more recently for a fence rebuild.

We have roughly 450ft of cedar hedge that requires trimming annually. Our previous contractor retired from the business so we looked for quotes from other providers. Absolute Home services was not the least nor the most expensive but they were very detailed and assessment of the scope. The crew was prompt and experienced. They were patient and attentive to our requirements while the work was carried out. They were efficient and cleaned up completely. The company conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner. We will be using them again next season.

I would give easily 5 stars because they did a great job spraying, pressure washing and sanding our interlock backyard. John was meticulous with his job. The only reason I gave 4 stars, there were some confusion and expectations of job from my side because of some words used during the quotation time. Amazing company. We contacted AHS with the intention of having the exterior of out house painted. A company representative, Gerald, came to our house and we discussed, in depth, the work that we wanted completed. Gerald looked professional and was wearing a company embossed shirt, was knowledgeable, on time and an overall very nice man. I had some drywall repairs from water damage that needed to be done as well as scraping a popcorn ceiling and adding potlights in my dining room. Brian & Verne did a great job with everything and were very friendly and respectful while they were working on the project. I will definitely reach out to them again for future projects!

I dont think I have had worse service!!! My initial consultation was fabulous, I was so excited, I thought I had hit the jackpot. Not long after I realized I was seriously mistaken. This company is too big and too many people involved, little correspondence. Take your money and hardly do any work. I even witnessed them on a timer. I had weekly maintenance, what a joke! The blowing of clippings and leaves was blown right back into the grass and surrounding garden beds. When the garden crew came, they were nice enough ladies, however, they left all yard waste for me to put to the curb.... Consistency of time was non existent and when trying to contact the person who first did the walk through with me, he was always busy, I will NEVER use this company again, I would discourage anyone else from using them as well!!!

They were available to do the work within a week or two and so no waiting around & wondering when they d be available. Reasonable estimate was provided. Work was undertaken and was completed promptly and as soon as the weather permitted. Completed the work and consulted with homeowner while work was being done which was a plus. Overall they did a very good job.

Jeff provided a prompt and accurate quote for drywall repair and painting, listening to my concerns during the quick 15-min consult and offering recommendations and the process they would use to complete the job. Once hired, Jeff sent Marcos to do the repair and painting. Marcos was prompt, friendly, efficient, honest and polite, and he was a pleasure to have in our home. He did the work with professionalism and pride, and he offered suggestions to ensure that the repairs would not be noticeable when finished. On an earlier occasion, we had some backyard gate repairs done to remedy one broken gate and one heavy, sagging gate. They reused whatever they could to keep costs down, and repaired both seamlessly. The broken gate was built poorly in the first place, and they fixed that issue nicely! I explained the issue about the sagging gate, and they managed my expectations and recommended a cable and turnbuckle support to solve it. 11/10 would recommend for this and other work. Ill be calling them again for other jobs, Im sure.

We recently signed in with Absolute to do our snow removal, having lost our prior contractor. There hasn t been any snow to clear yet, but we were pleased to see that they were out salting our walks and driveway last night as there was an expectation of snow or freezing rain during the night. We appreciate their consideration for the safety of those walking the sidewalks and driveway at our home! Wisely proactive!

They were doing some work in my neighbour s house. And they were using a planer. But they did not hook up the vacuum when they were using the planer nor clean up the wood dust right away. The wood dust is over my cars and my front yard now! But they don t bother to clean up their mess. Terrible!

My Project Manager was Devin. He was responsive, respectful and courteous at all times. There was a slight delay with one of the projects but that was not Devins fault, it was due a shoddy repair job that was done in the first place. Stewart, who was brought in to repair the shoddy work was hard working, courteous and professional. The paint job that was done to both the bedrooms (medium sized) was done within 4 hours and involved 2 coats. Both Devin and Stewart ensured the work was completed to my satisfaction and took their time explaining what they have done. I would recommend Absolute Home Services.

I have used the lawn care monthly maintenance from May to Nov; urns arrangement for summer and winter; spring & fall cleaning up service for the lawn. Anne-Lise and her team did an amazing job and we are very satisfied the job. Thank you Anne-Lise.

Met Anne-Lise and told her about our plans. She promised to estimate the scope and email within few days. Two weeks later I left a message with reminder - no response followed. Then we called again on June 14 and spoke with their Coordinator (Sara Nasato). She assumed that Anne-Lise may not have proper email address to send estimate and emailed reminder to her. Few days later - still no response from Sara or Anne-Lise. The way they do business is awful. I put one star just to post this review . . .

From the time I contacted Absolute requesting a quotation for exterior painting until they left with the job completed they were very courteous, professional, flexible and friendly to deal with. Their painters were efficient, neat and cleaned up the area at the end of day. Safety was of key concern to us and they had all the proper equipment and training to ensure that their people were never at risk.

I had my deck boards replaced and railings removed. Absolute Home Services sent a project manager that took all of my information. He was very attentive, and agreeable to some changes along the way. When his colleagues came to work, they were on-time every day, very professional and worked non-stop (even in the rain!). I would highly recommend this company for your home-related needs.

Some communications are poor depends on who you are dealing with. Charges are higher than others because some of jobs they are sub-contract with outsiders

The staff arrived promptly and were clean, thorough and pleasant. The job was executed beautifully and we are very pleased.

After having several issues with the work, Absolute came back and fixed the job to my satisfaction. They spent hours power washing the driveway, then applying the sand. Hopefully the job will last for many years.

Overall professional service. Peter Henderson (my project manager) was direct, straightforward and kept in constant contact about the jobs to be completed. This included staining two decks and some handy man jobs around the house. The workers who came were polite, professional and finished up the job quickly. Although I think the price was slightly on the high side (I got slightly lower quotes from other places) I went with absolute based on previous reviews and their reputation for reliability. My decks look great and handy man repairs were done well. Thank you absolute home services.

Even though they were totally booked, they kindly provided me with a person for 1 day to do the touchups I needed before having houseguests. Polite and personable young woman who did exactly what I needed her to do in the restrictive amount of time I gave her. Would use this service again.

They came to look at my deck and fence and said they will send the quote. But didnt respond back. No response for my calls and texts. They owe a response and reason to the customer at the least especially when they promised to do the work. I lost more than couple of weeks one week to arrange the visit and the next with no response.

They also do weekly lawn cutting for me. Very happy with the weekly service; both front and back lawns were cleaned up nicely at the start of spring; good customer service.

Quotes are out the next day which is nice. Arrived on time. This was sort of a honey do list but have no honey. Light fixtures & paintings put up. Fix drywall tape in bathroom. Stain deck. Very happy overall with the work.

Great job, great team of workers. We had worked previously with Absolute for Landscaping, drywall repair and painting. After a fantastic experience with Jason on the landscaping side and Dale for drywall repair/painting, we went back to them again when we moved to a new house. We did a reno in our laundry room, Dale came by to give us a quote and he identify more things that needed to be done which was unnoticed, once we signed up he sent a great team, very professional and the guys did a phenomenal job, we got a brand new laundry room, nice tiles installation, wall painting, doors and new cabinetry installed, everything nicely done, thank you Dale. Painting project: For the upstairs painting we had a meeting with Jeff which responded really fast, answered all our question, he sent sent a team of two and again what a great job, we had walls, doors, closets and baseboards painted, they took a closer detail in every room, the lightening was a challenge but they still managed to have the job perfectly done, we contacted Jeff again just for a small touch up which was already anticipated by the painters and they came back for the final touch. Had them come out for a quote never provided a quote or returned calls after stopping by to survey the project. Waste of time

It s been more than 36hrs since the snow storm, nobody come to shovel snow, we are blocked in by snow. We paid for you to do the shoveling, but end up we have to dig ourself out of the snow? The contract listed that it should be done within 12 hrs, hello? Where are you? Manager Jason only replied once by email says Nobody has been there yet between yesterday and today? , and after that, there is no response from him any more, not answering phone calls, not replying email, not let us know when they will come. This is terrible, I give one star just to post this review.

I had this company come and paint the interior of my main floor before selling my house. I had a quick, friendly, professional quote and excellent service. They painted over 3 days and moved everything back and tidied up each day by the time we got home. The painting was also very well done. I especially liked the ability to communicate over email. Great service, and great value, what more could you want?

Our deck needed a paint job and we decided to use Absolute vs doing it ourselves. Jeff came and gave us an estimate. The painter (afraid I can t remember his name) came within 2 weeks based on a good spell of weather. It s a large deck and the cleaning and painting was done within 2 days. It looks great and he left the site clean and also left us some spare paint. Would recommend them based on our experience.

i engaged Absolute Home Services to refurbish the 25+ year old deck in my backyard, built over a walkout basement. Even though this was a small job, the company handled it very professionally. Right form the outset, even before I received a quote, a project manager was assigned who came by the property to survey the effort and provided a professionally printed, itemized quote, on the spot. Each task on the quote was explained and I was also informed that the work will start in approx 2 weeks due to other workload and will take 2 to 3 days to complete. The work started as stated and completed within time and budget. The quality of the work performed was excellent and all steps mentioned in the quote were executed. Everyone who came to do the work were skilled and courteous. The folks at the head office were also the same. I would engage Absolute Home Services again if I needed to and highly recommend them. Hoping you will find them a valuable partner in your project, as I did in mine.

We needed to find a company to stain the cedar fence we had installed last year, and luckily we discovered Absolute Home Services. Our experience with them was excellent ..... Dave responded to my inquiry quite quickly, had great suggestions when I met with him, gave us a detailed quote, and was very responsive to my e-mails as we arranged for the work to be done. Mira did a wonderful job cleaning and then staining our fence, taking care to do it right. We are very happy with how the fence looks, and with Absolute Home Services .... we would recommend them highly.

Very professional. I had them come take a look at my home for a quote on window trim and door painting. Everything was laid out and explained well. Painting took two days, both painters did a great job. When they were done I walked the job with them and they fixed any of the touch ups I found. Only complaint I had was they were a bit slow with responding to emails. Everything else was great, would use them again in the future.

Absolute Home Services was engaged to build a cedar gate and walkway at side of our home. This also included planting a row of boxwoods plants / hedge. The work was completed on time and to specification. The side our home went from looking like something from a horror movie into a design from a magazine. I called this company as we are moving into the area to ask about fencing, no one bothered to reply to my email, maybe they don t do fencing, then say so, please. Don t just ignore my request. I am changing my review of this company, they did contact me after I wrote the above review, apparently they did not receive my request and they did look for it the second time, so somehow it got missed, any how they don t do chainlink fencing, but I appreciate that they tried to look into it.

Eco-friendly Front Yard Makeover!

Needed to modify our counter top on the Master Bath to remove a portion that extends above the toilet. I contacted Absolute Home Service as we already have a very good experience with doing some exterior painting job in the past. Dale came to look at the counter top; provided a quote & set the day to have the work done. Joe came on time worked on it for a few hours & left with a clean work area and a beautiful new-looking counter top. UPDATE - received a phone call early the next morning to sort out the oversight and we set up another appointment. Jeff showed up and was very informative, answered all my questions and I hope to be doing business with them very soon! (Just waiting on me and the hubby to settle/agree on colours) :) Had an appointment today at 1pm, which had been confirmed by myself and Sara at Absolute Services in advance. Worked from home in order to meet with Jeff. However 1pm came and went with no one showing up or calling to cancel. I emailed Sara at 1:30 and told her no one called or showed up. She emailed 2 hours later to say that I was on the schedule today.. Its now 7pm and never received any followup or phone call to reschedule. Unprofessional and Disappointing.

Im writing on behalf of my 84 year old Father-in-Law. Due to his age and mobility, he was incapable of following up on what had been done in his back yard by Absolute Home Services when they did his fall cleanup and weeding before the winter. Having gotten outside in the yard for the first time since, he noticed that all of his Hostas were gone. They were pulled along with the weeds. When he called to complain, although it had been about half a year since the job was done, Absolute Home Services honoured their work and promised to replace his Hostas. Sometimes taking responsibility and fixing mistakes is harder than an easy job done without anyone noticing. Worth mentioning that they deal with their problems fairly.

When my father ended up in the hospital I needed someone to take care of the lawn for my mother. I called a few places but Liz at Absolute seemed to understand the situation and said shed take care of it. They were reliable, professional and the price was super reasonable. Id highly recommend them!
