We are a full service landscaping and lawn maintenance company. Our maintenance division services from Mebane to Greensboro (and as far north as Hyco Lake). Our landscape division has a broader service area. We specialize in custom paver patios, retaining walls, plant installations, and landscape lighting.

May's crew got to my house early and were ready to roll. I walked the yard with them to make sure we were on the same page. Then I left for work, putting my trust in them. When I got home that evening I was not surprised by the good work (because I expected it from what i had heard) but I was extremely happy. They did everything I wanted and more. I had top soil put down and wanted some low spot filled in. They went above and beyond making sure my yard was sloped properly all over to and from the low spots. They aerated and seeded and spread straw and everything looks great. And to top it off, not a speck of dirt or any grass seed on my driveway or sidewalk. The only thing that would keep me from recommending them is that I don't want them to get too busy to come when I call. But they came highly recommended to me so I will pass it on and give them my appreciation and 5 stars!!
Start with the people: honest, smart, creative, fair and prompt. From small projects to big ones, May's is unmatched - not just in this part of NC, but anywhere. The entire team is consistently great and never disappoints. We have several properties that Corey and Alana handle - a couple that they have truly transformed into stunning accomplishments of consistent attention to detail and proactive care giving. Pricing is actually quite fair and reasonable - especially if you consider the high quality of materials and service. May's is like everything else: hang around the best people and you'll get superior results. We've thought so for the last 25 years and counting! It was easy to write this review and we thank the May's team for fabulous work on our behalf.
I can not say enough about May’s Lawncare. They have taken care of our landscaping, repaired a damaged waterfall (that they did not install) and have replaced all of our driveways with breathtaking pavers. Cory and Alana have the best team and they communicate what they are doing. Andrew and Israel are awesome at seeing projects to completion and the office staff is pleasant to deal with each time I’ve called. Highly recommend.
May's Landscaping is by far the best company I have delt with in years! I had a drainage problem in my backyard, Corey came out, assessed the situation and immediately took care of it. From start to finish, Corey, the work crew and the office staff, Alana and Jordan, blew me away with their professionalism, knowledge, amazing quality and work ethic. May's takes pride in their work and cares for their customers. Give them a call, you will be glad that you did.
Mays lawn care is by far the best company to go to for all your needs/wants. They do a fantastic job on all of their services! The Mays family are such wonderful and amazing people! I highly recommend and promise you won’t be disappointed. If I could rate more than 5 starts I absolutely would!

Not worth the money. Amateur work at best. First appointment was a cancelation, then a no-show. Third appointment had to call them back because it wasn't done properly. Response to owner: Corey, A no-show is no excuse, but I gave you a second chance. Then your guys come and miss a big portion of the fence line during aeration. My neighbor's lawn service put straw down on their bare spots, but I had to put straw down so the seed wouldn't wash away. I also had to call the office because no one left us info for watering. Apparently, there was supposed to be something hung on the door handle. I tipped your guy because they are never paid enough. At least one visit was done right. Why should I have to explain to you what quality service is? Why should I pay you $1300 for poor service? What happened is NOT typical for the industry unless you mean that amateur service is typical. I stand by this review.
We first used May's Lawn Care last year when we had our pool installed. Corey and his team installed the retaining wall, travertine, sod, and lighting around our pool and the finished product was even better than we could have imagined! We were so please with May's Lawn Care from start to finish that when we wanted to have some landscaping done this spring we immediately contacted Corey. Once again, we were more than pleased and we will continue to use them for all our future landscaping projects.
Very professional and easy to work with on projects. They turned a mound of dirt and drainage problems around our pool into a beautiful backyard. Very thankful for their expertise and professionalism!

I couldn t be happier with all the services this company has provided this year. In March the team came out and trimmed trees and bushes, did leftover leaf clean-up and installed several yards of mulch for me. The jobs were performed in an exceptional manner and I was so impressed I asked the team to do lawn maintenance for me. This is a professional company who delivers on what they promise. Their prices are also reasonable and you get top quality for your money.

Had another contractor botch a large wall project. Mays fixed the wall and did a great job. Cory and Alana were great and their crew were courteous, clean, and organized. Great craftsmanship.

I have used Mays Landscaping for the past couple years on both my primary residence and now my rental property. They did a fantastic job on my landscape lighting, retaining wall and I am looking forward to having them complete my patio. They arent the cheapest company you will find nor are they the most expensive however they provided excellent quality and workmanship for the projects quoted. Quality work doesnt come cheap but they provided excellent value for the cost. They continue to provide my yearly mulching, tree trimming and any other misc work I need completed. They have always been responsive, fair and provided results above expectations. If you have a project to be done, do yourself a favor and give them a call. They are a wonderful small business that represents our area well. Keep up the great work!
These guys are great! My yard has never looked better and Im so happy with their service. The guys take the time for the small extras that make it just that much better. I cant recommend them enough.
I read some wonderful comments about this company and was very impressed by those comments. We need a retaining wall replaced and are considering additional work such as a patio and a fire pit. I contacted the business today and was greeted very nicely. The call was brief as the response to my question about obtaining an estimate for the retaining wall was not one that I understand. There was a fee they charged to come out to our home within their local area to give an estimate. This would be a fairly big job and has a high probability of other neighbors reaching out to them for future business. Great marketing opportunity potential in my past experiences within our neighborhood. This is my first experience with a business that wants to charge a fee to give an estimate and one we are not willing to support. I am not criticizing their work performance but I am criticizing their estimate fee protocol. This is very disappointing.

They built a retaining wall to level out our backyard and we are very pleased with the results! It s a completely different backyard!
Probably the worse customer service ever. The big girl at the front desk acts like a know it all and is not very friendly at times, and the owner has a really bad attitude all of the time - he belittles his own father. They used to do free estimates but now they charge up to $150.00 to just come look at your yard. I would recommend a place with actual christian values and friendliness, not the surface level fake faces they put on.
May s has changed my mind and they worked with me. I m a disabled Veteran and I do appreciate the work and that you have worked with me. I hope you forgive me. Veterans it s okay to use them. Even if your on a fixed income like myself. Truly sorry if this hurt your business it was not my intention.
Had May s do landscaping along my driveway. Their quote process was prompt. Their 3-man crew was efficient, polite, very professional, and clearly exhibited pride in their work - all at a reasonable price. I will definitely call on them for any additional landscaping needs.
I have used Corey since I moved to the area 2 years ago. He started out re-landscaping my backyard of my new home as a haven for my two young girls. A few months later he installed a privacy fence for the yard and an iron gate for the driveway. The specimens that he uses for landscape are hearty and worth every penny he charges. The company now has taken over the maintence of our yard, as our time has become limited to keep up with yard maintence. They are fair and honest about if your yard needs to be mowed. During the heat of the summer, they take care not to over stress a yard by mowing if it does not need it. He has always been available to answer any question or offer any suggestion as to how to improve and maintain the yard around my home.
I have worked with Mays Lawn Care for several years and find them to be an excellent company to work with. They go above and beyond to ensure their customers are satisfied. They are very knowledgeable in the landscaping industry and I highly recommend them.

After getting several quotes on a patio, we called May s. Corey came out and immediately envisioned the look we were going for, and quoted us almost exactly what we expected (all of the other quotes were much more for less patio). Every phone call and email was responded to promptly and we were never left wondering what was going on. The work started nearly a month sooner than expected, and was done in less than 6 days! Corey and his team did a fabulous job of turning our dream into reality and we could not be more pleased. We will certainly recommend them to anyone looking for lawn/landscape services!

We first contacted Mays Landscaping via their website . After an initial confusion in communication, Corey Mays personally called my husband and was more than apologetic.We scheduled an appointment for an estimate on a landscaping project as well as hired them to mow and weed eat our lawn.We wanted to try them out. They did a beautiful job!! Not only did they pay attention to detail, but they hauled away a large pile of brush that we had stacked up on our patio after Hurricane Michael.We had not asked for this service, but they went above and beyond and did this for us-very appreciated! We have been very impressed with their communication as well and we have hired them to do regular maintenance on our lawn. We are looking forward to watching them transform our yard. Great customer service! Beautiful work! Highly recommend!
