Hugo and team are the best! They left my neglected yard looking new. Worth every penny!
Hugo was recommended by a friend, and she was absolutely spot on. We approached him with two-thirds of a plan, and he was able to show us options and explain quality and pricing until we understood exactly what was happening and what our final bill would be, so there were no surprises. He was communicative the entire time, and we were amazed at how quickly he was able to get us in; it was all completely worth it. As an extra bonus, he was able to work around baby sunflowers, keeping them alive, and he was just an overall wonderful person!
Hugo was great at listening to what we wanted. He gave us helpful and practical suggestions that we were very thankful for. He works with his team who are very hardworking, dependable and extremely thoughtful of where and how their equipment is delivered and stored at the job site. Hugo was very responsive to any issues or questions that came up during the project. He communicated when they were coming or if they weren’t coming. Hugo and his team started our project on time, finished right on schedule and delivered a better project than I imagined and I am so happy we hired Verano’s Landscaping Company!!
I am a very very very picky person, and Hugo is one of the handful of contractors that really meet my approval. I had them replace topsoil, regrade the entire backyard, and plant 50+ plants, lay mulch and bark. His workers are excellent - even if he is not present to supervise every minute. They work hard, nonstop, and finish on time without cutting corners. His workers go beyond. They weeded and mulched both front and backyard, even though the front was not in the scope. They put down landscaping fabric in certain spots - a good idea that I did not mention. They fixed the drain pipes in my planter - without my asking. They always cleaned up after every day - and even blow-cleaned the driveway. Everything looks crisp and professionally done. They were respectful - no loud music, eating/lounging in the backyard. Boy did they work hard. Hugo and crew are very very good - and I have hired several outfits in the past.
Verano Landscaping did an excellent job on all aspects of a complex landscaping project. They implemented all aspects of a landscape design including building a retaining wall and a flagstone patio, building stone walkways, installing a water feature, installing sod and new landscape plants, installing an irrigation system and landscape lighting, building and painting a fence and gateway, and maintaining or removing existing plantings. The work was beautiful, on time, and fairly priced. At all times, Hugo and his staff were easy to communicate with and extremely reliable. Hugo has decades of experience and excels at the problem solving that implementing a landscape design requires. He knows plants and materials very well and has an experienced eye for how things like water and light that will impact landscaping. I highly recommend Verano Landscaping. I’m already working with him on another project.
We recently hired Verano Landscaping to remove our entire front lawn, dig out a couple inches of clay, replace with top soil and new sod. Hugo and his crew were friendly, thoughtful in their work, cleaned the worksite each day, and did a fantastic job! The entire job was completed in less than two days. Hugo and team are very responsive and we would highly recommend Verano Landscaping to others!
Verano Landscaping installed Montana Rustic Flagstone in 2 patios, and a garden and gazebo pathway for about 200'. Hugo was always on time, ready to work, and willing to adjust to changes in the project. We negotiated several changes as the project progressed and he was easy to work with. Under a separate contract he mowed, edged and pruned all my shrubs and a few trees. Did a really professional job. My neighbors were impressed too. Hugo is a good listener so just take the time to tell him exactly what you want accomplished in your yard and he will give you a fair price and get the job done in less than 2 hours. Hugo's employees are nice to work with too.
Excellent workmanship and value. We hired Verano Landscaping in June 2020 to build a complex retaining wall and paver/flagstone patio on a challenging backyard site. Hugo and his crew came up with good solutions and the project is now done and looks fantastic. Verano Landscaping is ethical, on-time and hard working. Great open communication regarding scope and price. Useful daily updates regarding next steps and schedule. Highly recommended.

Hugo and team did an excellent job with overall cleanup and maintenance on my front and backyard, which are quite large. They also redid the planter the runs along my driveway, adding new plants, pavers and lights. The lights make the house look so much better and help with backing in to the long driveway at night. Hugo was helpful and responsive. Will be using their services again.
Hugo and his team performed a seasonal landscaping clean up at my home and did an amazing job! Hugo did a wonderful job communicating throughout the entire process, his team was efficient and detailed. I ll be coming back for more landscaping projects!

Hugo, owner & 2 employees lifted up my artificial turf & dug a long trench and put in new barrier to keep the bamboo contained. The team did an awesome job took them 1/2 a day polite and cleaned up after.

Verano Landscaping did a complete overhaul of my backyard, creating the yard of my dreams. Hugo, the lead for the landscaping, was attentive, flexible, and communicated each part of the process very well. They went above and beyond wherever possible and truly exhibited mastery in their work.

Hugo and his crew cleaned up my yard, pulling weeds and those obnoxious bulb flowers that seem to constantly spread and pop up everywhere including rock gardens. Scraped up winter moss off the shaded walkways and edged the paths. Pulled grass and weeds out of overgrown planter beds and added some plants to fill in empty spots. They applied beauty bark. At the end, they tidied up the stray clippings in the driveway and street. Really enhanced the curb appeal. Thank you!
We hired Verano Landscaping for a large project to remove all grass and a layer of dirt from our larger yard and install new sod, mulch, general yard maintenance for plantings, and create a border wall for our outdoor trampoline making a safe area for our kids. It was a huge project and we had a short timeline desired for completion. Hugo and his team worked incredibly long days to make it happen, we re punctual, responsive to questions, and the quality of work was top notch. Efficiency did not compromise quality. I would highly recommend and hire for our future projects as well.
Hugo and his wonderful team tackled my overgrown garden, hedge, grass, weeds, and yard space that I ve been neglecting for over a year since starting school. Hugo and his crew placed a series of trees in my backyard. - driving various vehicles of equipment to haul trees and shrubbery - from the delivery truck on street to the tight backyard. Certainly talented in the digging of the holes and careful placement of the trees - but by far the crews even bigger skill set was their responsive and friendly heavy dose of patience. The trees - an assortment of deciduous and evergreen - are for a privacy screen on neighboring property line and placement was important - considered from several view lines. Hugo and his drew did a professional job and I would hire them again!
Outstanding job cleaning up a very overgrown yard
Hugo and crew have done a couple of major projects for me, and I couldnt be more satisfied with the results. Not only do they do amazing work at good prices, but theyve always finished on time or even ahead of schedule. Whether you need a major transportation or a simple cleanup, Verano can be trusted to do it right, and theyre a pleasure to work with.
I recently hired Verano Landscaping to install a gravel parking strip in front of my house. Hugo was very professional and responsive. He provided a fair quote for the work and quickly got me on his schedule. Hugo and his team were meticulous with completing the work. They removed all the existing grass and used a machine to compact the new gravel for the parking strip. At the end, it looked awesome and I was happy with their work. I will be using Verano Landscaping for some spring cleanup work and would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping services.
Hugo removed a cement patio and replaced it with large pavers along with a border. There was extra work he did repairing and refinishing 4 cement steps and replacing some island borders with a few of the larger cement pieces from the demo. He was very thorough with each job, communicating along the way when there were unforseen issues. This is an old farmhouse that we have been improving over 30 years so there are many issues that have come up with our improvements and remodeling. I appreciated that Hugo was willing to talk about them and have some ideas.
Hugo did an excellent job restoring our lawn after a mess of a septic install. He was quick, professional and affordable. I would highly recommend for any yard service needs!
They get Er done
Hugo is an excellent business man who is very prompt and detail oriented. Out out a dozen or so companies I reached out to for yard services, Hugo was the quickest to respond and come out to discuss the project. He was very flexible with scheduling and even called back sooner than expected to fit the project in earlier. Will definitely hire again and recommend to others.
Verano Landscape prepared, planted and modified irrigation in a new planter bed. I was very pleased with the job. They did what they said they were going to do in the timeframe they committed to.
The Verano Landscaping team did an excellent job on a variety of projects in my backyard. They put in a section of artificial turf, added to an existing flagstone path, reset rustic steps to stabilize them, installed wire fencing around sloped backyard perimeter, pressure washed decks, patio and steps, as well as stained the decks. Their work was well-done on every level, and I appreciated how thorough and meticulous they were in getting it done right. Hugo and Jesus are pleasant, professional and easy to work with! They are on the top of my list for future landscaping needs.
Hugo and his team did an amazing job overhauling our back yard! They worked with our existing terraces and added proper drainage, beautiful landscaping, reset and leveled our pavers, and helped coordinate irrigation. We have a tricky lot and watching the progress it was clear they knew what they were doing. We could not be more pleased and I would highly recommend!

Overpriced and horrible work quality that takes too long to finish to end up over charging. My estimate went from $6500 for fence/deck to $10,250 and changed again on the final day to $10,650. No receipts!

Hugo and his team from Verano Landscaping transformed our yard in preparation for my husbands retirement party. Hugo updated the border around our deck with landscaping as well as built a patio using existing pavers. He refreshed a gravel area between the yard and garage and exceeded expectations by creating a slightly elevated gravel path from the patio to the garage. He built several deck steps as well! In addition, Hugo leveled areas of yard, trimmed rhodies, spread mulch in front yard and in areas of backyard (we have almost an acre). We were very pleased with the end result, and my husband could enjoy his first summer of retirement knowing these projects were completed! Thank you Hugo and team for your quality work and dedication to this project!
Hugo and his team are excellent! Efficient, kind, trustworthy. They know how to use and reuse materials, and understand exactly the needs of a yard. They love working outside in any weather. No job is too hard that they can t figure out. I m always amazed by Hugo s strength. Just amazing. My only advice is to text or email specifics of what you need done as English is Hugo s second language and sometimes there is difficulty in translation or general understanding.
