Olson recently completed an irrigation and planting project at my home. The installation was quick and well-organized, with minimal disruption to my property. The technicians were meticulous in their work, and they made sure everything was properly tested and calibrated before finishing up. They also took the time to explain how the system works, and I was impressed by their attention to detail, such as ensuring the sprinkler heads were positioned to avoid overwatering or runoff. Zero communication. They showed up seemingly random to do the work I asked for, when at that point I had thought they would never come. I found the email for scheduling in my spam and brought this up to them and they said that happens frequently… maybe do something else then?? Also they did a bad job on the work. Would never use again.
I can’t give enough praise to Olson outdoors and Brian! I had a sprinkler project that I just didn’t have time to tackle and Brian came through quickly to get me set up at a good price. I highly recommend Olson to anyone looking for lawn care! Great experience
My family has been using this company since I was a little kid. Their company values family and it can be seen when they treat their customers with the utmost respect. Whenever I send an email with questions regarding the work that needs to be done on my yard. They respond with due diligence and always provide quality service.
My 93 year old grandma has been using Olson's for 15+ years and after my grandpa past, boy has it gone down hill. For the past two years she has had issues in a particular part of the yard and has been trying to get Olson's to fix it, but they have yet to do so. First, they ran out of sod, then they said they will replace the heads in the zone the next year 2024... It is now June of 2024, and two years later no one has fixed the issues. Empty promises are made that Caleb and Brian will be out to fix it...but yet nothing is done. For paying $400 a month, you would expect if one part of the yard fails, that they would be all over fixing the issue so the yard doesn't go down hill. However, since my grandpa past Olson's is neglecting their obligation to service a yard that used to look emasculate.
I attempted to hire them to do aeration. I sign the agreement. Then hear nothing for around 2 weeks where they say they'll do it during a 2 day period. Those days came and went with no sight of them. I work from home and was home all day those days. My yard is unlocked so they could have done it. Plus my front yard is completely open. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed something came up and they'd contact me. Nope. Like 2 weeks later I got an invoice from them for the work they didn't do. I email them to let them know and they say they will cancel it. Yet I am still weeks later getting emails from them that my payment is overdue and I still have an invoice. They didn't even do any work for me and it's been this annoying to deal with. I can't imagine if they(assuming they can) actually did some work. I see them responding here and I wouldn't trust their responses. Literally every single interaction I've had with them they have screwed up. So I highly doubt they are the meticulous record keepers they seem to claim to be here. Edit: Responding to olson outdoors. As I expected they cannot keep records. Let's go through it. I will quote the emails exactly. Here is the response when I mentioned the missed aeration and fraudulent invoice. Verbatim. "I am so sorry about skipping your Aeration. I will delete that invoice for you. Do you still want it done later this week when it warms up a bit? Please let me know." Karla says "I will delete that invoice for you." What more is there to say? Did she do this. No. I don't need to respond to that. She say's she'll delete it and she didn't. It didn't say 'let me know if you want me to delete it'. It says she'll delete it. Next, where is the discount? So this is just a lie in the response here. Olson claims the neighbors were aerated by accident. Other than the fact that I work from home all day those days I never saw them at my neighbors additionally all my direct neighbors had already had it done before that date. So the techs can't tell that a law has already been aerated? As I mentioned. I wouldn't trust their responses here. Making a mistake is fine. Owning up to it can even make a business more trustable. But this fake 'taking responsibility' being done here just destroys credibility. To further highlight the dishonesty here it is claimed that I was offered a discount. So why would I still have an invoice for the same amount due at the same time? Wouldn't you create a new invoice for a new amount? Further by the time I got the invoice it was due in like 1.5 weeks. I would expect a new invoice to be created regardless since the original would be for work that never happened. The reality is that they never intended to offer a discount and just forgot to delete the invoice.
Don't expect to hear back from this company. We had an onsite visit with Olson Outdoors where we thoroughly went through everything we were looking for in our landscaping project. They made big promises and we were impressed with the scope of their services. We were told that we would get a design and quote within 48 hours and would go from there. After one week of no contact from them, I called them to see what was going on. The person who answered the phone said they were busy but would reach out to the team and find out why I wasn't contacted. Once again, no one contacted me back. I reached out again after 2 weeks and 3 weeks and each time the exact same thing happened. We had just moved into a new construction home and wanted to get landscaping done as soon as possible. Olson Outdoors wasted our time for an entire month from their lack of communications.
The lack of appropriate lawn care began in September/October of 2021. We signed up for fall aeration and seeding, then winter fertilization, and finally overseeding in the spring. We were told that would be enough to bring our yard to an acceptable state. We were also promised weeding of the property (per the pictures, that was not controlled). When we finally needed to buy sod, Olson was going to work on the sprinkler system. Due to their lack of accountability, we preferred not to pay up front costs. Also, we were going to be overcharged for sod and a new sprinkler system. After being Olson customers for over 3 years, never having paid a bill late, we were told that Brandon was unwilling to work with us or discount or remove any services — including weed control. I am wheelchair bound and was promised that our property would be kept like a rental and it was not. We were willing to pay for this level of service and Olson did not perform the duties agreed upon starting the previous year. While Olson can talk a good game, they do not execute their own contracts for service. They do not keep the HOA at bay with regards to weed control. We had to hire someone after Olson came to remediate the weeds. Yes, I am aware that this is a public post. That is actually the point of writing this review. I am letting others know the level of incompetence and inability to do what you say you will do.
The customer service is impeccable. by far the best lawn care company Ive ever used!
They started out doing a good job but went downhill fast, ignoring our needs and neglecting to fulfill their commitment.
Speeding through a school zone especially in the rain is incredibly disrespectful.
Going into our second year of service with Olsen Outdoors. Their customer service is excellent and they always deliver on their promised services.
Buyer Beware! 6/13/24 emailed re. email on 6/14 received confirming . 6/13 received quote aapproving seasonal mowing work starting the following week. Via email. No lawn was mowed the next two weeks. On 6/14, Alexis, CSR at Olson stated service would start. 6/29 again approved work via email. 7/13 I was emailed that they didn t have my phone number and asked ME if my lawn had been mowed (not joking). I confirmed my same phone number for 10 years and emailed that I hoped the lawn was mowed as I was away. No response. 7/17 my neighbor called and mentioned my lawn was still not cut! I was In disbelief. Called to speak to owner of Olson who is apparently out of the country and no manager present. After and upon reflection, on 7/17 I called again and cancelled my service!! ( that I never received) Completely unprofessional!!!
I very much appreciate Brandon and his team at Olson Outdoors for their professionalism in honoring work warranties and trouble shooting skills with out sprinkler system. I would highly recommend their services.

Did 3 days of hard work both in front and in back of the house, done as proposed. One small mistake was made and, when called to their attention, immediately was acknowledged and scheduled for repair. In my estimation thats the most important part of business. Anyone can make a mistake, we all do. Its admitting the mistake and fixing it that shows the true measure of a company. They were recommended by a neighbor who has used them for years and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to others.

This company is great. Had a bit of trouble getting them scheduled at first but they are excellent now.
They are fine if you want a company to come once a week and cut your grass, but I wont pay for any of their other services again. Ive had several instances of them saying they came and performed a service, but I have no one on my doorbell, no service card, no service flag and no evidence work was done.
Olson Outdoors has great people both in the office and doing the actual work. After getting several quotes for the scope of work, they were the most reasonable with pricing and timeline. The work theyve done for me has been great and I will continue to work with them in the future.
The yard has been salvaged in just one season! I purchased the property in December and wasnt aware of the weed and bare spot issues. Olson has been treating the yard and mowing/trimming since April. It is now a beautiful lawn. The crews communicate before coming out for treatments, or sprinkler setup. The mowing crew is there every week! Excellent Service!
The employees are always courteous. The billing department contacts you directly if there is a problem and are quick to realize when a computer glitch has taken place or if the problem is on their end. They are interested in solving the problem with you. They dont charge late fees.
Best snow remover in town!
Very nice, show up on scheduled days. Pretty seamless. I am having them do many things to my yard for fall and spring as well as landscape work w/plantings and new trees, pavers to replace old broken and am quiet excited. The owner, came out and walked my property and Im excited!

I had a great feeling after Brandon made a house visit to quote me on my projects but he was here weeks ago and Ive been doing nothing but trying to hunt him down with phone calls and emails, that go unanswered. I am frustrated with their lack of professionalism. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Service to the wrong address multiple times, not showing up more than once, showing up for service not ordered or cancelled and ongoing service delays for what we did order Always the same response of we are fixing the issues but things continue to remain the same.

Doesnt understand basics of driving left lane is a passing lane. Then tries to intimidate me and follow me to gas station. To bad I am not the type that backs down. I wouldnt let this company anywhere near your property. Reply: Why would someone call you after that. Next time you might think when you are in your work truck. I drive fine just get out of the way its real easy.
The crews who cam were excellent. They were on time and did an amazing job on the sod and deck stairs. We would use them again for any landscaping needs.

Olson has help on a full gamut of needs from basic lawn care to watering systems to fencing to sophisticated drainage needs to high quality retaining walls to paver patio build out to fire pit installation and a pergola. Every single time the communication, timeline, quality, and continued follow up is nothing but high end professional. I highly recommend Olson Lawn Care.
I had Olson outdoors complete a pretty extensive back and front yard renovation over the winter and spring. I was looking for a company that could provide all services for me, which included landscape design with plans, removal of all existing plants, grading backyard, sod removal, re-locating pavers from one section to add on to existing pavers, fence repairs, build a fence, paint a fence, irrigation, rain barrel installation, new sod and plants. Olson was recommended to me by 2 different sets of friends as they both described their work as being very efficient and detail oriented. I m a bit particular about things being done well and of high quality so I felt Olson sounded like the best company to go with. No disappointment on my end - they ve done a phenomenal job in my yard! They ve worked quickly, but have still managed to deliver high quality results. One of the guys laid pavers (that looked level to my untrained eye), and then came back the next day to re- measure, noticed the pavers weren t completely level and re-did the section to make sure it was completely level. I didn t even have to ask him to do this, he just did it because they want their work to be at the highest standards. We ve been in constant communication about everything, and any changes that have been needed have been clearly talked over and prices agreed upon ahead of time. I ll even add that Brandon and Darby offered options to keep us within our budget and gave some suggestions of small changes we could make to accomplish as much as we wanted but still not going over budget. I really appreciate that, as not everyone has the same budget, but there are ways to save a little on a big project like this. Also, the crew has been super friendly which is always nice, especially when you have an eager toddler that wants to ask them a million questions about all the work they re completing. Overall, we love our yard; are outside using our yard everyday since completion and each time we step outside we comment about how much we love it! This has been the experience I was trying to achieve and I ll probably be recommending Brandon and his team to everyone I know! Now the only thing that I could ask for, is for them to start doing lawn maintence in Stapleton...I ll keep my fingers crossed!

We definitely recommend Olson Lawn Care. Brandon and his team are very knowledgeable and lovely to work with. My husband and I asked them to design a fence to enclose our front yard pool. They created a seamless look with functioning gates within the fencing. Timelines and expectations were effectively communicated with us throughout the project. Olson Lawn Care were very considerate and polite on property. The original estimate was honored and they have been very responsive if we have any questions or concerns regarding the maintenance of our fencing. We would recommend Olson Lawn Care to others and will look forward to working with them again in the future.

Brandon was our orchestra conductor for a big 365 degree yard project that was masterful start to finish. We LOVE our space, and have so many complements from people passing by. Weve happily recommended to two friends with completely different kinds of projects, one small city yard surrounded by new tower developments and one Cherry Creek multi-level very complex small space. We also used his team to do the heavy lifting for our daughters new townhouse tiny yard that I designed and it was a pleasure to work along with his guys. Each project so different and so special thanks to Brandon and his team. Two years later, we continue to call him to tweek and adjust, possibly just because we enjoy having him around!
Brandon and his crew at Olson Lawn Care installed hardscape, irrigation and landscaping at our new home. Brandon is very knowledgeable and came up with a good solutions for our patio and walkway to backyard including retaining walls, given steep grades. They were meticulous about support, grade and installation of pavers, granite steps, wall blocks and flagstone. His crew is friendly, courteous, hardworking and easy to communicate with throughout the project. The irrigation, sod and plantings went well. Were very happy with work the Olson crew did and plan to use them in the future for other projects!

After years of working with other companies, with varying degrees of problems and success, we finally switched to Lawn Boys and our lawn has never looked better. We ve also had a positive experience in communicating with Chuck and Yates to make sure we re all on the same page about what needs to be done. They ve been honest and open with us, and what I ve appreciated most of all-beyond the healthy grass and weedless property, of course-is the professionalism they ve delivered. In any business, how you write and speak really do matter.

Seemed like the company cared more about quantity over quality. They had us mowing in pouring rain & lightning storms. I feel as if we tore up more yards than actually took care of them. Also, I felt as if the company didnt care about their employees very much. There was no AC in the trucks, no water or anything provided during the hot summer. Our lunch breaks consisted of stopping at a gas station for food then heading to the next job. All in all, I think The Lawn Boys are a bad company to work for.
I switched to LAWN BOYS this year.. and I am so pleased. My lawn looks better than ever. They cut the lawn well, trim up and clean up. The even put little protectors on my trees. We added the fertilizer and aeration services and it was worth it. My lawn looks so much better. Thanks guys!

Thank you for trimming my bushes. I think that I might pay extra if you were to trim those two tall bushes at the north end of the side garage each time you mow in the summer. If they are not trimmed, they grow so tall that they damage the window screens on my side garage. I tried to do it this summer but when we were gone for a month during July and August, they got out of hand.

This is a complete rip off of a company. There are alot of issues. Richard left my yard a mess, he did not do the project to specs, used only the cheapest products, now my edging looks worse and he created a safety hazard by not putting the edging flush. Retaining wall is a foot lower than it should have been, and a foot shorter than it should have been, so alot less material was used and he still charged me the full amount of the estimate. So a rip off from the begining. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Outstanding Service, did a great job removing almost 5 feet of snow from my 100 foot driveway on a busy day within hours of my call for help.
This company deserves no stars. Their owner is non-responsive, unprofessional, and wasted me and my wifes time. After I signed the contract he was non-responsive and then walked on the business leaving me and my wife to find a new landscaper after 2 months of design work; this means that we will not have a backyard completed this summer as we have to start the whole process over. Dont waste your time with Brandon Olson and his company.
Very unprofessional, disorganized and absolutely no customer service. You cant depend on them, they keep cancelling appointments and then just dont show up. They try to send out someone to put out fires that knows nothing about your bid or what needs to be done. When yore fed up and get mad, they consider you hostile and just cancel the job. Pretty stupid way to run a business.
Richard Olson is a master at his craft! Our sprinkler was down from April-July until we called Richard and he redesigned and repaired it. He finished the job today. Despite having two other landscape companies attempt to repair it (neither one was able to get the job done), Richard diagnosed the problem, completed the work, and was very reasonable in his pricing. On top of that, Richard noticed problems with our system that could have caused a major flood potentially costing us thousands of dollars in repairs. Richard was worth every penny. And he is a genuinely nice and straight forward guy. We highly recommend Richard and will be using his services going forward. Actually, we wouldnt call anyone else but Richard!
