Scam of a company! Charged me for service I never received and then said it was too late to offer the service for the season. They should be ashamed of themselves! The economy is already hard and they should feel ashamed doing this to people
They have done an amazing job at my house. Before and after photos are just amazing.
Called to have someone come look at my lawn to determine what the issue was and what service I needed. Was told a rep would give me a call to set a date to come out and take a look. A week later and no one has called. So I called back on a Monday. I was then told the same thing again, someone would call me to establish a date to take a look. Again, no call that day Monday, or the following day of Tuesday. I called back today (Wednesday) promptly at 8am to try for a 3rd time to establish service. I was on hold for 20 minutes before being pushed to an “overflow” line and finally getting an answer. I was then told by that rep that “Senske”, who now apparently owns Fit Turf, doesn’t send anyone out to look at your lawn. You have to sign up for services before they even come out and see the issues you’re having. The rep I finally got ahold of actually told me “you could always use another company” when I questioned why the wouldn’t do a consult. Poor customer service at its best here. Looks like I’ll be taking the Fit Turf Reps advice… and using a different company. Also, how do you diagnose an issue when you don’t see it, and the homeowner who knows nothing about grass other than it should be green (that’s me) can’t tell you accurately what’s happening???
Spoke with an agent early in the season. It was to be May through October. They showed up 3 times. I called to ask why they hadn't come by...they were busy. They were great last year, not this year. Will be going elsewhere.
They killed my Aspen trees. Was rolled into the company from the merger/acquisition. They changed herbicides w/o informing us. The techs are so poorly trained that they don't know that spraying aspen shoots w/ poison will carry that poison to the tree. I had a third party arborist come and they confirmed by the black and curl of the leaves that it was herbicide damage. Fit turf has offered zero compensation, not even a refund. I'm out 500$ from a deep root treatment from another company to try to save my trees. As well as another 400$ to cut down the tree that has died. The trees were not that old and were perfectly healthy till whatever was put on my lawn and in my rock beds this year. I see from another older review that Fit Turf tried to blame an issue w/ someone's lawn on Fungus. That must be a standard/scripted response b/c they tried to tell us something similar. That there may be a fungus causing the issue.
We have used this company for bed and border control for the last several years and the service has gone very downhill since switching owners. The first couple years we barely had any weeds at all. This year is the worst I have seen it. There are large sections that look like they weren’t sprayed at all. Our whole family was home when they supposedly serviced our yard and none of us saw the technician. When I called for a re-spray, I was told “they don’t like me to schedule a service call for vegetation only, but I’ll set up another visit”. What? We pay over $600 for vegetation service! Going to be looking for another company to take our business to!
I got the service because I dont have the tools to get rid of the weeds. They told me I didnt need to cut the grass for it to work so I went through with the service. Then the tech told me I did need to cut and didnt spray. Then they said that they wouldnt cut the lawn for me so the spray would be effective. And now theyre getting 1 star because even though I canceled my service last year I just got a charge for 550+ for a new round of services this year.
Beyond impressed with the quality of work, the cost is very reasonable and the biggest thing is the way our yards look after the first treatment… WOW After 3 quotes from the top names in the lawn care industry, Fit Turf blew them all out of the water. Thank you to the entire team at Fit Turf!
Wonderful customer service. Very friendly and easy to work with
Absolutely the best crew in Denver
FIT TURF N. DENVER, 557 Burbank St Unit E, Broomfield CO/PENSKE 400 N QUAY ST KENNEWICK, WA. PLEASE REMOVE OUR DATA SHARED WITH GROWING GREEN FROM YOUR SERVERS. ThIs company took over the company we contracted with, GROWING GREEN, without our knowledge or consent, they trespassed our front yard, applied a treatment and left a bill on the front door. Lisa indicated they would back out the charge.
They sent me an email saying I was a customer and to leave a review, which I am not. I view this a as a deceptive marketing tactic.
I have been working with Fit Turf for the past two years and they are very communicative, do a great job and my lawn shows it. Thank you!
I have told them to contact me prior to coming out for a new season and they continue to fail at communicating. I get a text message the day of and they don t wait for confirmation. It s a bit frustrating. Sometimes they spray the area we have discussed, sometimes they don t. Not pleased atm.
I have fertilizing and airiating. The lawn was burned twice last year when an inexperienced person did the fertilizing. On the hole they do a good job.
My primary and continuing service from Fit Turf is for insecticide injections for my giant ash tree to prevent the emerald ash borers. I have also used them for lawn weed control, fertilization and aeration in the past, before I decided to eliminate turf grass all together. Easy to deal with and prompt, professional, courteous service.
came out for early season starter feeding---noticed some mould on the grass. It was raked today. Thanks
Deceitful business practices guarantees PetSafe products. Uses a non safe product for pets and then dilutes it, so it is, they say. Imagine how many peoples pets this company is hurting just to make more money.
My lawn is thick and thriving, my trees are in great shape, professional, always on time.
Great customer service
Billy came to our house for the first service of our new contract with Fit Turf. He texted to let us know when he would arrive, and then he was prompt and very polite. Billy walked our entire yard with us, looking over everything. He listened while we pointed out our problem areas and he even noticed some things we forgot to tell him about! Billy personalized his service for us, going above and beyond, treating several different things, and giving us advice on how to maintain things until he comes back for our next treatment. We called the office to specifically ask if Billy could be our regular guy ! We look forward to having Billy help us with our lawn this entire season. Thank you, Billy!
Fitturf does an awesome job, my lawn looked like gaaarrrrbbbaaaaggggeeee a year ago and now it is full and vibrant! They show up when expected, leave a detailed description of services performed, and how you can shift your daily/weekly routine to keep your lawn looking great. Laura Gassino was really helpful in helping me update my payment info updated to keep things smooth and easy. Thanks Fitturf, you rock!
My feelings for them have dropped considerably as of recent mixed up communications or I should say lack of such from these people
I have owned the same home for nearly 25 years. Green Mountain Lawn and Tree Care took impeccable care of our front lawn for years. We had the greenest, healthiest lawn on the block. This is until they were bought by Senske Services. Our lawn treatments went straight downhill from there. Next, we commenced service with Fit Turf. They reached out to us. Little did we know, they were ALSO owned by Senske. Jason Short reassured my husband that we would not have the same negative experience with our lawn care that we had with Senske Services. On August 10th, a technician who appeared to be compromised showed up and mentioned he nearly forgot to service us. Two days later, we have burn marks throughout our front lawn. We hired a professional lawn care service who identified the technician error and explained clearly why our lawn went from being reasonably healthy to having extensive damage throughout. We literally paid for our lawn to be damaged by Fit Turf. Jason did not apologize, or even try to get to the root of the issue. No refund was ever offered for damaging our beautiful front lawn. Grass doesnt go from good to tragic in two days after a regular fertilization treatment, unless there were missteps in the process. Since there was no apology or acknowledgement, I cannot recommend this company. I NEVER made a single complaint with Green Mountain when they serviced our lawn. Tim came like clockwork every month, and our lawn looked great year after year. Fit Turf did apply Revive lawn treatment at no charge, but the damage will take time to repair, and we still paid for a treatment that killed our grass. The new company I hired will come out in a month and work to repair the damage done in one treatment by a compromised Fit Turf technician. I tried a big box lawn company after being with a small mom and pop company for years. Lesson learned. When any business performs a service and that service results in making your yard look worse, apologizing and taking ownership of the resolution is key. In the absence of this, trust is dissolved and a business relationship simply cannot continue. If you are looking for a professional company with consistent results, Fit Turf, sadly, is a gamble.
They show up unannounced.
I have used Experi Green for the past several years and had been unsatisfied with the results. I have had one treatment this year and cannot believe the results. Plus saved me over $100.00 for the season. Great value great results!
Need work done but they act like Im lucky to have them rather than they are lucky to have me. They should know one of my nicknames Lucky Charm. Good luck to them.
Great company to work with.
Erik has been great to work with. Always calls and is very polite. Knocks at the door and explains what hes doing that day.
Ron has been handling our lawn for some time now and nice job with it. He is very professional and doesnt up sell at all. He recommends just what is needed to have a beautiful lawn. Ron is also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Thank you for all your help for caring about my lawn and making sure my comments and concerns are taking care of.
I advise strongly NOT to hire this company. 1) They called me based on a search on Home advisor. I hadnt asked for them to contact me 2) Ryan gave a very hard sell, promising to save my tree without even seeing it. 3) He asked for my credit card # before I met personally with anyone from Fit Turf! I said I would not give financial information to a stranger. He said, Thats the way it is. 4) I talked him into sending me an invoice for the work before starting. It said that they use a tree spray with Imidacloprid, which is HIGHLY TOXIC TO BEES.
The service we pre-paid over $1,000 for the year, and now the customer service in response to their absolute lack of work has been extremely disappointing. We hired them for ONLY weed control. When I put out a request on home advisor and I got a call I told them we wouldnt be a good fit because they I mentioned multiple times that we wanted our weeds PULLED, but the guy guaranteed me that with the yearly seasonal spraying that weeds would not even exist. We live on ten acres, so I really needed him to be sure that they could handle it, and after looking at google maps he assured me that the weeds would be under control. Our weeds are OUT OF CONTROL, and have been. They havent been under control at all. I called them multiple times to tell them that we have 4-6 feet weeds that are taking over our entire yard, and we have a wedding at our house in a month. They were willing to send someone out each time I called and they would do that, but after two service calls for the weeds being out of control, NONE HAVE DIED. They are only growing and continue to take over our flower beds, our mulch, and all other bed and border areas. No exxageration they are almost taller than me. Even if they could kill them now (which i think its been proven, they cant) we would have to deal with all the dead weeds because they are so large... Seeing how this has been an ongoing frustration, especially because they assured me the weeds would be dead in 2 weeks after each call, we called to see if we could get a credit, or get next year for free since we now have to pay someone else to come pull the weeds for over $1,000, all they said was sorry you are not satisfied Well, considering we pre-paid for a service that we did not receive, i would say a sorry does not cut it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
If you get quoted a reasonable, pay as you go price, be weary. My reasonable quote was followed with, you will see some emails, they may talk about plans but you can disregard. I dont recommend you do, because that reasonable price doubles and triples really fast. When you call you just hear, yeah but we did.. Oh an BTW, If you are thinking you will be fine with that so long as your yard gets better.. dont plan on it. No change, lots of $$ and useless notes left by the person telling you to rake and water. Jeez, I never thought about watering my yard?!?!?
Not worth the money for what you get. Sounds personalized but they do nothing unique. I feel like the techs that come out could care less about the job or if any product actually worked. Last time I paid $200+ for multiple services, grass seed never went down, still waiting for call back about it.
Used Fit Turf for fertilizers - deep root applications, iron injections in trees, lawn fertilizer. After several attempts, Ive successfully canceled my account. Billing is a nightmare. On THREE occasions services were performed without my consent. Communication is terrible, and EVERY SINGLE TIME the technicians would show up unannounced, would not perform service because of the dog in the backyard, and then its another week before they get back out there. Their only means of communicating this is by leaving a sorry we missed you card. Have not seen any evidence of their products solving any of my issues.
Good service with friendly and experienced sales people.
TOTAL SCAM AND RIP OFF! Go elsewhere for your own safety! This company harassed me over the phone. Now they claim I agreed to services I did not. Furthermore they are billing me for a service I did not receive. Do not even talk to them on the phone or you will be SCAMMED!
A nice company. Its worth getting help to manage yard, trees, etc. If you prepay theres a discount and a discount if you are 50 or older
Hopefully we were just an abnormality but there was NO communication between us and the company after the original finding of the company to chemically aerate our yard. NO date of service was established, the ONLY reason the tech came to my door was because my dog was in the back yard and SUPER angry he was trying to come in. Didnt give me ANY information on when to water or care or instructions on how to take care of the yard with this product. Frustrated.
We have used this service for a few years. The last time the tech showed he never got out of the truck. When my husband called to let the company know they were defensive. When I called today I spoke with Sara and she stated they have trackers on their trucks and we have to pay. Sara confirmed the tech was parked outside for 7 minutes according to the tracker. This lawn has never looked so bad, it s got yellow spots, drying faster than it should and ant hills popping up every. Sara stated she would discount half of the charge but why pay for services not rendered? We were here, door open, he never got out of the truck. Don t be scammed by this company, their tech can literally show up, set in the truck and then it s assumed you got your services.
They have supposedly have come out and sprayed 2x for my weeds. And the weeds continue to grow. And they offer nothing for compensation or to come back out and make it right. But they want payment.
In early May they sprayed round up to kill weeds on the borders but also sprayed a 3x3 area of my lawn effectively killing it. When I sent a photo and complaint they denied causing it and even denied that it was dead. They said a fungus treatment would fix it and promised to look at it closely and discuss it further. They sprayed for fungus but never spoke to me. When I cancelled them, their standard email said they didnt know why I ended their services. Uh, read your email and pay attention! The lawn is still dead two months later, an eyesore, right in front. No refund, no discount, no apology, just denial. Now I am am reseeding it and spending money to water it heavily for the grass to sprout.
One star is being very generous!! We have used them for a few years and hoped they would get better...sad to say they did not! They have killed a portion of our yard twice due to some highly skilled technician not being able to keep the fertilizer contained. They have been out to assess the damage and said they would re-sod the dead area asap...3 weeks later and no sod, not quite what in would call asap. Upon their recommendation they gave a tree of ours a nutrient boost..shocker thats dead too. The only thing they havent killed was the weeds...
We had an issue with elm beetle this year and I called a few companies to get a quote for insect control before the tree could no longer be saved. Fit turf gave us a decent quote, but were the first to come in with a price. When I told the sales person I would get back to him, he instantly turned on the creepy sales pitches, such as, well, I m a certified arborist, so make sure you don t end up getting scammed by other people out there who don t know anything. I was turned off by the tone, but ended up going with them and had fit turf come out to spray what I understood to be just our 2 big shade trees in the backyard. When they came, the tech didn t knock on the door or let us know he was there. The tech ended up spraying everything, covering our vegetable gardens with pesticide along with our fruit trees. When I called to voice my concern, the same sales person was condescending, saying that it s normal practice to just go in and get things done, and that everything was safe. Not the point, and not my concern. Anyways I told him that I didn t want sprays anymore and thought that was it. A few weeks later, I get a text on a Saturday morning saying they were going to come out and spray again. Didn t look at my texts till Monday and called mid morning to cancel the service that I didn t even ask for. I then asked for them to never come to my house again and to completely cancel my account. I guess it was too late though because the tech had already been to my house (I wasn t home this time) and sprayed everything, fruit trees and veg garden along with the trees again. This was a Monday. Today it s a Wednesday and I m now getting spam emails and spam calls from salesmen at Fit Turf saying they are scheduled to start the deep root feeding program . When I interrupted and said, no you re not, I canceled my account. The creepy sales pitches started right up again. I m not an idiot, creepy sales pitches are just that- creepy, and the company obviously has poor internal communication. Go with another company, we did. I don t normally post reviews, but this is one of those services people generally find through google searches. Figured it would be helpful. ***Update*** Fit Turf did indeed refund me for both the sprays that occurred. The day after I posted this review, I received an email, a phone call, and a written response to this review - all saying the same thing. They are good about trying to resolve issues once reviews come in.
Start of last year and before using FitTurf, about 1/3 of our grass was dying or dead. Come to find out it was mites. They worked on it last year and it got better. They continued with the treatment during the winter. This year my yard is amazing. My grass is thick and growing very well. I am also using less then 1/2 the water I used last year. Thank you Fit Turf for an amazing job.
I can t say enough amazing things about this company!!!! We bought a house 3 years ago and the landscaping in this new, big backyard was overwhelming and in desperate need of help!! We called Fit Turf due to our grass dying in numerous areas and us having 3 dogs that were starting to tear it up and make matters worse Not only do they give you appropriate notice before they come ( having dogs the notice was a must) but within one full season from start of spring til the last fall treatment our yard looked 100% better!! I will never try and treat and take this project on myself as they know exactly what they are doing!!! I ve personally talked to one of the managers Jason Dunn with special requests about his guys coming into the yard as our fence gates are in need of attention and wanted to make that clear so they don t get worse I ve never had any issues, no matter who comes out to service my yard is professional and on time So thanks to them for the 3 years of service
The service is excellent and my lawn looks great now. highly recommend their services.
The key difference for Fit Turf is their knowledgeable and personable technicians. They know what theyre doing but they are always willing to take the time to explain the what and why behind any procedure...and to suggest additional improvements...and all at very fair prices.
Fit Turf has fertilized and provided lawn mite control for our lawn for the last 2 years. And we couldnt be more satisfied. Our lawn looks great. My only slight complaint is that I would like to talk with the tech who provides my service when he is here. I know the work has been done, but would like to visit with my service provider at time of service.
Since I started using the service most of my weeds are gone. The tech does need to use the treatment on the edges of the lawn where most of my weeds are still thriving. The young man who applies the product is very polite.
Fit Turf has done an amazing job helping me keep up with my lawn care. They always leave a summary of the work completed and any services they suggest based on the condition of the yard. Ive never felt pressured to add a service but always informed on the options. I would recommend them to anyone!
Great customer service! I spoke with Ken and Sara today and was able to get a thorough explanation of my renewal quote as well as options for savings and necessary services. The techs I ve had in past are timely and always leave notes updating me on the lawn and any concerns or improvements! Thanks guys!
Fit Turf was recommended by a neighbor and I m very glad he did. After years of struggle, my lawn has never looked better. I haven t seen a weed in 2 yrs and the yard is very healthy and green. They are also good at giving suggestions on watering and cutting. This has been a big help. --Steve H - Littleton, CO
We have used Fit Turf for several years now, and have found their services to be great. They offer a series of lawn and tree care services, and will work with a customer to meet specific needs and fill special requests. Their technicians and service crews are knowledgable and friendly, and are quick to offer recommendations for improved lawn and tree care. Strongly recommended.
When we started service 2 years ago the grass in our back yard was almost dead with numerous bare spots & now it has almost completely returned. We are very pleased with the intelligence displayed by the technicians that service our property.
I like the service, I only wish they would allow changes to their notification process about service reminders. I receive email notifications the day of but there is no time frame specified. My preference would be text message reminder the day before with an estimated time window so I can better manage control of my pets.
In May 2018, our front yard was a sea of dandelions, crab grass, and various other weeds. We were the black sheep of our neighborhood, and the weed killers from Home Depot weren t having any impact. We called Fit Turf and agreed to try their season long treatment plan to get rid of the weeds, though I had my doubts given how late into the season we were and how overwhelmed the yard was with weeds. After the first treatment, we waited about a week and didn t see any difference. Feeling like we had paid for something worthless, I called customer service and expressed my doubts. They were very polite and asked me to trust the process . They told me the first treatment doesn t handle weeds but the next one would. A few weeks later, things turned around. They performed the second treatment, and within 24 hours we were seeing some pretty incredible results. The dandelions had already started wilting. Within 72 hours, they were completely dead. I was able to mow the yard and from a distance you wouldn t have known there were any weeds. It took another week or two, but eventually our yard looked flawless. Not a single weed could be found, and our grass flourished all summer and fall. Our neighbors were dealing with weeds all summer, and I was worried they might take seed in our yard from being blown by the wind. But it never happened; our yard stayed bright green all summer and even now (December 2018) we still have the brightest yard on the block. We ve gotten a ton of comments from neighbors on how great the yard looked all season. Two thumbs up for Fit Turf. I will absolutely be using these guys for my yearly weed prevention from now on.
This is our third year using fit turf. Their prices are reasonable, good service and they offer a senior discount. Whenever I have had any issues with their service they are quick to help.
Half of my backyard is now dirt. I hired these guys thinking I could pay them to keep my backyard in top shape, and never need to think about it again. Half my yard turned brown last summer, and the techs failed to diagnose (or even notice?) the issue. It turns out it was leaf blight, and once I told THEM about it, they upsold me on treatment package, which didnt help at all. Within a couple months, the grass had completely died and started turning to dirt from my dog running around on it. Now I need to re-sod half the yard (I wish I was exaggerating), or I might just plant crabgrass seed, since that seems to be growing great without any water or maintenance. If you care about your yard, just do it yourself, or hire someone else. Even if you know nothing about lawn care, youll do it better than these guys. Ive never had such a bad experience of hiring experts of any kind. This is very much a sales-focused organization, not a results-focused one.
We used Fit Turf last year and our lawn is much worse for wear this year so we cancelled them. The backyard lawn is all tufted with many bare spots, which is what they said they could fix. Instead it is much worse and dying.
Chose to go with FitTurf because of the great sales call. I was told that they dont recommend a core aeration in the spring and that a chemical aeration would improve my lawn. I was told the technicians would offer suggestions on how to improve my lawn. I applied seed down in my weed infested backyard and applied my own weed and feed. Aeration service was the reason I started using their services. I chose to have Fit Turf start a fertilization schedule in my front yard in the spring time as well as do a aeration service front and back. It took 7 weeks for them to come out and do the chemical aeration. After multiple voicemails and no returned calls, the service was finally performed. I have noticed more weeds in the front yard after their service than in the back where I applied my big box treatment. I was excited to receive advice on how to make my front better after winter with all the brown spots, but the advice I got the first treatment was grass is stressed with a recommendation to water more. I water every day, sometimes twice. After they came and applied the chemical aeration, the technician said they recommend a core aeration and an overseed. I was slightly upset because the sales person said it was better to do a chemical. Now, the brown spots are spreading all over the front and weeds are emerging again in the front. The backyard is going well and I think I wasted money on the chemical aeration and fertilization. I discontinued service through a phone call. They asked why, and I told them about the grass in the front yard turning brown and that the only advice they really offered was to water more. They told me there will be no more service and didnt offer any sympathy or resolution. I have seen other reviews that people have called and service needed to be cancelled in writing, but there was no contract saying that and the person on the phone did not say that.
