Purchased firewood from them. They assured me it was properly aged and seasoned, and it was not seasoned and would not burn. They refuse to pick it up and replace it. It was also all soft wood. I had to pay someone to get rid of it and pay again to get decent firewood.

Excellent service, Joe and his crew showed up on time and quickly removed a problem tree in our yard. This tree was leaning over the utility wires and into the neighbor's yards. They manged to cut all the limbs and remove them without having to get into the neighbor's yards.
If i could give more than 5 stars I would ! Joe and his crew were very professional and quick. Unfortunately i had a tree that i thought was going to fall through the house and I tried calling other places before i found them and they all were so expensive but Tarzan tree removal gave me the best price and came the next day after I called for them to come by . They ended taking the tree down without a hassle and took the worry right out of my hands! I was so lucky to find a company that was quick easy and with great pricing ! Would recommend to anyone with tree problems do not hesitate to call they will get the work done the crew is great !
UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST BUSINESS. We hired Tarzan Tree Removal to cut a few trees in our property. One of the tree was quite tall and there were a lot of cables running through the branches. The team was not professional when cutting the branches that tangled with cables, and guess what happened-- as they threw the cut branches down to the floor, the heavy branches pulled the cables that were fixed onto the siding, and yanked a section of our siding off (you can see attached photos for the damage). Our neighbor's cables were also messed up and caused big inconvenience to them. When we pointed out the damages to Joe, he said he did not have a long ladder with him that day (came unprepared for the job), and promised that he will come back to fix both the cables and the damaged siding for us. Naive of us to trust his words and paid him in full. Of course, Joe made multiple empty promises and finally did not reply messages or answer phone calls, and NEVER CAME BACK to fix the damages that they created. We now have to pay out of our pocket to hire someone to fix the siding, and also have to go through the hassles to help our neighbor get their cables back to service. It is such a disgrace that people chose to run business in such a dishonest and unethical way. Piece of advice to you Joe-- Companies that do not stand behind their service will not go far. We may lose some money dealing with you this time, but you have lost your reputation and trust from your customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Highly recommended. I had a tree come down in the backyard of a rental property. Only way in and out was through the apartment of some very touchy tenants. Joe responded to my voicemail within half an hour; he personally came by for an appraisal the next day. When he saw the work he decided his crew could handle it that afternoon... and they did. Polite, courteous and professional, they had the tree cut-up and cleared out of there in less than two-hours and there was not a spot of dirt in the apartment. Fair price too. Thank you Joe! Helped me out of a bind.

This company illegally trespassed onto our property and cut a tree down without permission from the owner. They accessed our yard by climbing over the fence at the direction of a neighbor who obviously could not provide them access to our yard or apartment but clearly compensated them. Horrifying. They killed the tree, too, based on a review of photos by an arborist.

They arrived on time, and when I got outside 45 minutes later, I was shocked by how much work had already been done. They moved a giant zebra grass and divided it into four plants, relocated two others, trimmed three trees, moved two dogwood shrubs and a hollywood juniper, took down a 30-foot Japanese pine that died in Hurricane Sandy then chopped and split all the wood and put it in a pile for the fire pit. They also moved a heavy concrete planter, spread a quarter ton of gravel for cleanup and removed two shrubs and an old whiskey barrel planter full of dirt. I ran out of work to give them before lunch time. Fast, agreeable, fairly priced, knowledgeable and cleaned up like they were never here. A big thank you for making a lot of work very easy for me. The plants thank you for the extra space they now have to grow!

Our neighbors used their service today to trim trees. While they may be good at their skill they were not curious to us. They dropped debri in our backyard and dropped something heavy on our truck in the driveway. They denied both. Treated me as if I was an idiot or maybe thats just how they treat women? Would not recommend if you want your neighbors happy.
We worked with Joe and his team to trim some large trees in our yard that had begun growing in between cable wires. Everyone was incredibly careful and professional! They worked quickly, efficiently, and removed every single branch that fell as a part of the trim. I highly recommend working with them, we definitely will when we need their services again in the future!

Joe and his staff at Tarzan did a great job for me. After the storm I had a massive tree fall on to a neighbors house. I contacted several companies, and chose Tarzan. The tree was precariously hanging on to the house, and posed a great danger to human life as well as to property and equipment. When Tarzan came out, they recognized that it would be a very difficult job for several reasons. One was that they had nothing to tie the tree to for supporting the tree while they were cutting. The other was the removal aspect. Three was in a backyard with now street access. This meant the removal had to be done by cutting the tree into 1.5 foot sections, in order to take it down into the basement through the bilco doors,and then up a flight of stairs to the street level, and then out on to 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. Believe me, this was no easy feat. They came out with 8 men and 2 climbers to get the job done, and managed to do it without anyone or anything getting hurt in the process. I strongly recommend Joe and his staff for any tree issues! Thanks Joe!

Joe quickly returned my initial call and came out for an estimate within the same day. Compared to other tree companies that schedule a day for an appointment and just never show up or call. He was very prompt, affordable, and professional. The stump wasnt ground out enough for a new tree and he sent someone out to remove the rest of the stump no questions asked.
Joe called me back straight away and always arrived right when he said that he would. The price was fair, and the quality of work was high. Joe and his team really went above and beyond for me and I am so thankful. A tree fell down in our backyard and Joe and his guys cut it up and carried it out quick as a flash. Wasted my time. Said he can do a job then didnt show up to do the job. Told me my neighbors yard caused concern so I cleared up any misunderstanding with my neighbor and reassured Joe the owner that he can start work. Told me he had to do another walk through of the yard and never did. I told him either way if he can or cannot do the job let me know so I dont waste time. He left my texts and phone calls unanswered. So unprofessional. If you cannot do a job then be honest. Felt like it was ridiculous to deal with them. Would not recommend.
I was very happy with the two tree removals just done on my property. Originally told two days for job but everything was completed in just one day! Cleanup was excellent too. Good price, very reasonable. I would highly recommend Tarzan Tree Removal.
We had scheduled them to get a tree cutting done on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. First call was in end of April 2018 and they came out to give a estimate. After that they told us that they need a 50% deposit in order to schedule this work. Only then they gave us a date in June. When the date came, they started pulling this with every possible answer. Fist I was told that the person cut his foot, which turned out to be a lie. Than I was told that this person is attending a funeral, which I couldnt verify. Long story short, they than told me that they cant do this job. This was after waiting for almost 2 months. I hope that I will still get my deposit back...

SIMPLY THE BEST! I had such a wonderful experience with Tarzan Tree Removal. We had a nasty storm in Brooklyn last night, which unfortunately led to a tree snapping in my backyard. I called them as soon as it happened, and they showed up the next day! I spoke with Joe, who was very pleasant, and understanding. A large palm tree fell down in our yard. We thankfully didnt have to rush to get it removed so had time to check out tree companies. Tarzan tree Removal company had great reviews and now we know WHY!! The crew came and had all the branches cut AND removed within an hour. They then cut up the trunk and did a wonderful clean up job. We would have NO problem referring Joe and his team. Another job well done!!! Thank you!!
We used Tarzan Tree Removal on several occasions for the properties that we manage. They are reliable and perform the most efficient work. They will also come no matter the day or time - hence, making them our most trusted emergency tree service.
They showed up 2 1/2 hours late and instead of pruning my tree they began sawing off branches!!! He said to prune the tree would be more money! Needless to say they left after sawing down 3 large branches and making the tree look awful !
I used Tarzan last year. I called them again to remove another tree and the owner Joe called me back right away. He remembered me and gave me a great price for calling back. His team were in and out and left not a single branch behind.

Good job trimming and removing trees. However cleanup was sub-par, left debris and branches behind. A smoking employee threw his cigarettes buds on floor in my backyard, unprofessional.
Stay away from this company. The job has not been done well. Came to remove roots but roots are still in the ground! The owner gave me discount but has charged me full price.The worst company Ive ever seen.

Tarzan Tree Removal were real pros. They did a half a days job in three hours. They had to prune trees in a real tight spot and had to take the branches and trimmings through our apartment. They laid out tarps and were very respectful of our interior. They cleaned everything up as if they were not even there. They even cleaned our neighbors properties as well as they cleaned ours. I would highly recommend their service to anyone in the 5 boros. Thanks guys

Tarzan Tree Removal did such an efficient, professional removal of a 4 story tree in our backyard. The limbs and branches had to be walked up to the deck, through our open -floor -plan tenants apartment and down the stoop to the curb. They left the apartment in the same condition as it was found. Just brilliant!
