The Green Spot Home and Garden is a locally-owned business in the community of Brandon, Manitoba. It is located on a ten-acre parcel of land nestled at the east end of Rosser Avenue, beside CP Rail and the Assiniboine River. In 1978, the Vreeman family started The Green Spot as a small market garden and greenhouse operation. Eventually the market garden gave way to full greenhouse production and underwent major expansion from 1999 to 2003. The Green Spot was purchased by Bernie Whetter in 2007 and has further developed into a full retail location alongside the greenhouse operation which still maintains a family run feel.

Stopped in to check out the flowers and the plants available for sale and also had a quick bite to eat. I had the cucumber and microgreens sandwich with the soup of the day which was chicken noodle. The sandwich and the soup were absolutely delicious. I also had a coffee and I was very happy with how it tasted. I was very pleased with the cost of my lunch, and it was really nice to eat inside a place with lots of plants. Very cozy. I'm looking forward to returning

We stayed here as part of Harvest Hosts and this is an awesome local business. They have a greenhouse + garden Center + coffee shop + all sorts of cute cottage’y stuff. Bernie the owner is awesome and just so pleasant to talk to. Everything is reasonably priced as well so forget those big corporate chains and shop here! We’ll be back for sure.
I recently visited the green spot and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed utterly miserable and unwelcoming, making us feel as though we weren't supposed to be there. Not a single staff member acknowledged us, and when we finally went to purchase our item, the lady at the till gave us dirty looks. It was incredibly off-putting and left a bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say, I will definitely never return to this place. I hope they can improve their customer service for the sake of future visitors.
This is a fabulous garden and home goods center, a short drive off the TransCanada. Bernie is such a thoughtful and kind entrepreneur, very welcoming to travelers who find his business. The café has luscious pastries and drinks, and patio seating with flower arrangements and fountains. The garden center is gorgeous and full of good vibes. The clothing offered is very stylish (I found a piece I'd been looking for), flowers abound everywhere, and we were lucky enough to be there for a small farmers market where we got some really tasty micro greens and heritage cherry tomatoes grown on-site. Highly recommend this as a refreshing respite from the TransCanada.
Have some neat products that I haven’t seen anywhere else. And a bargain shelf for good deals!! :-)

Very well layed out greenhouse with lots of selection
This is the first year I havent had plants die a few days after purchase and replace them! A little more expensive but definitely worth it!

I was driving through Brandon ended up arriving at the end of the work day. I was hoping to purchase a garden statue as i heard so much about this place. Unfortunately the lady wasn t interested in helping me as it was already 4:30.

A wonderful facility to wander through. Spring is in the air! Took time to enjoy a hot beverage and pastry at Chez Angela situated in this facility. Truly enjoyable!

Wonderful oasis of gardening culture and class including a small Cafe, a womens clothing store and amazing greenhouses. Plus lovely staff in the Cafe! The only downside is the train activity 24/7 but I found it to be charming. And check out the cute prairie dogs across the street from the parking lot!

Good place to buy plants. Always healthy & good price
This is one of my favourite places to shop.
There are 2 reasons I cannot give a 5 star review. The first one is the attitude of the employees. I have never been greeted upon arrival, I have never been asked if I could use some help and their employees stand under the canopy by the tills and gossip, not paying any attention to the customers. The second reason I cant give five stars is because of their tropical plant prices. Some of the stuff is more than double the price of some other places that you can get plants. Way to expensive. Their main competition (a landscaping place that sells houseplants also) is 10x better. Better prices, and way friendlier and helpful staff. Green Spot, I would take this review to heart and take a good look at how you train your staff. I dare anyone to go to both places and compare the service.

Both times I visited were disappointing most recently I placed an order online, it was canceled with out any explanation. Luckily there are plenty of other greenhouses who will gladly take my money.

My favourite greenhouse in Brandon/ Westman. Some items are outrageously priced (more so decor, clothes and stuff). Otherwise the prices for plants are in line with other greenhouses or slightly cheaper. It s fun just to walk through and look too. It s set up nicely, especially after the renos.

Its crazy expensive to buy decor there, I found the exact same flower pot at Winners for a quarter of the price they retail here. Lots of plants to choose from, but definitely pricey!

Great place great presentation.. 32 mins in line.. Hot day.. Girls at desk.. Talking with themselves taking time like who cares.. I get paid by hour.. As for the customers paying they didnt care so much.. Other stores go to cart add up.. And have total what n your turn at the check out.. Same staff but the price is they would have to move.

The Green Spot was as lovely as always. The young lady that helped me pick out some house plants was very knowledgeable. I always enjoy going there, its so serene for me, even when its busy. I love the huge variety of plants they have, as well as all the accessories to make your garden and home so special. The birds and the coi pond are an added bonus. I highly recommend this place.

Fabulous for delicious meals, a sweet snack, or an amazing coffee. One of the best vegetarian friendly menus. On Wednesdays and Saturdays they do their cinnamon buns, and specialty cheese and pesto rolls. You can also get your beans (ground or just beans) here too. Service is amazing, my family and I have been coming here for years. Favourite dish: Sundried Tomato Quiche with salad/vinagrette (closely followed by soup of the day and dumpling) Favourite Sweet: Better than Blondie, but seriously everything is good.

Has lots of amazing plants and garden decorations, as well as tools. They also have koy fish and birds. Its abit crowded to walk threw but its worth the visit.

Favourite plant tree shrub place in Manitoba. Ordered some weeping willows for our brother. Delivered on time as always. Always purchased flowers for our moms garden. She passed last year but my 94 year old dad is now looking after the raised flower beds with flowers from this nursery. Love this place...lots of landscape items..amazing kitchey selection. Love this place and its open year round!

This place is just fun even if you dont care about plants. They have birds that talk to you, a dinosaur fish pond, and some really cool stuff to just look at. Plus plants that are well taken care of.

Dont like the entrance! The down hill ramp is terrible! After that they always have what I am looking for!
