Highly recommend using MJ Nicholls. I just had them plant Arborvitae s on my property line and they did a great job and were also very responsive to questions I had. I would definitely call on them again.

They did work for us last fall and subsequently, I contacted Matt for a minor repair and for them to do some additional work. Since our initial conversation, he has not responded despite me trying many times through the office and voicemails. It has been extremely frustrating. I have never dealt with such an irresponsible company. I wanted to be able to recommend them but obviously cant. Very disappointing.

Poor topsoil used for hydro seeding and over packed leveling leading to no grass and mud. Definitely not satisfied with services

We hired Matt and his team to regrade and seed our entire yard and install an irrigation system. They were responsive, did great work, and were a pleasure to work with. We will hire them again for future projects.

Matt and his crew are super responsive and do a great job! I emailed him and he got back to me right away. We scheduled to chat the next day and got my estimate the day after. The job started a week later and everything was done on time! When some adjustments needed to be made, he sent his crew a day later and took care of everything.

Was very expensive and expected a return visit to follow up on parts not happy with...do not pay till he follows through with what he agreed to do..made phone calls but no response...

I would highly recommend M.J. Nicholls service, they are quick to respond, showed up early and worked a full 10 hour day. I was beyond impressed with the quality of the work done - I had a tree removed, my front lawn re graded, hydroseeded and all of beds in the front and back yard cleaned and prepped.

I can be honest I liked the work. Everything went great until I hired another company to do a hardscape project. They outbid these guys for a job and these guys got jealous and terminated my routine maintenance contract without notice or call. I had to chase them down to figure out what happened. I never experienced anything like it, the owner Matt even told me him giving me a quote was a waste of time as if Im obligated to choose his company because they gave me a quote. All in all be aware if you deal with these guys you can only deal with these guys or they cry and run away. Extremely unprofessional and over priced!

Amazing service and results. I hired Matt and his team to do some complicated landscaping around a new pool installation. Matt was timely, fair priced and best of all when there was a miscommunication they made it right immediately. I will definitely hire them again.

MJ Nicholls removed our overgrown lawn/bushes in a home that had been vacant for 10 years. Matt was professional and responsive and his team worked hard to complete the job very quickly. 4 years later we are still happy with our lawn although our toddlers tear it apart on a daily basis. Most importantly the grading that was done completely relieved any and all water that we were getting in our basement. I highly recommend.

Great landscaping company! We have used MJ Nicholls for lawn care and a number of hardscape projects over the past year and they have done great work.

I called MJ on Tuesday and they came on Wednesday and did a great job hydroseeding my backyard! Thank you for the quick response and professionalism. Now hopefully the downpour doesnt was all the seed away.

I live in development that MJ Nicholls provides snow removal services for the main roads and the driveways. The service for the main roads is okay, however the service to clear the driveways is slipshod at best. The recent snowfall is a perfect example of this complaint. I woke up to find my entire driveway covered with ice as a result of the poor work effort done by the technician. This is not the first time I have experienced this situation.

MJ Nicholls installed a new set of granite steps and walkway, and we couldnt be happier. Matt was super responsive during the sales process, and they ended up installing a week earlier than scheduled. The crew was professional, the work is excellent, and they actually left our yard in better shape than they found it. (When they were cleaning up, they used some leftover loam and grass seed to fix a nearby spot where Id just had a tree stump removed.) Weve gotten a ton of compliments (now we just need to re-side our house so it look as good as the walkway!). We will definitely hire MJ Nicholls again.

M J Nicholls performs excellent work for a great price. The owner Matt took the time to explain our patio building options in detail. His crew was able to start the project the following week and complete it within a few days. They build up the patio area with loom to level it off and make the patio higher, installed a French drain, and new fabric with crushed stone around the garden. I highly recommend them for any landscaping or patio work.

I had MJ Nicholls construct a stone patio and it came out beautiful! This was my third time hiring them and Ive never been disappointed. The entire experience from estimate to completion was top notch. Matt was very responsive whenever I reached out to him. I would highly recommend this company.

This is a great company! Ive used this company twice so far, once for my sprinkler system (covered an acre) and a large landscaping project on a steep hill to prevent erosion. The crew was professional, personable, and hardworking. Were trying to line up a new patio now with this them and will post pictures once its done.

Made appointment...no show...no text...no calls...ignored my text.

Had a herringbone pattern walkway installed....workers were punctual....clean....area left neat.......most of all the work is absolutely beautiful.....3 separate work companies arrived at my house today and everyone commented on how great the walkway looked. I am thrilled!!

We replaced one section of fence, added a gate, removed brush and had arbors planted for hedge. Great experience from beginning to end. Prompt response to online quote request, came out a few days later and emailed quote by end of day. Very reasonable and easy to work with as we made a few adjustments to the job. Crew was very professional and did outstanding work.

$4500 for sod replacement along with 6 bushes planted by MJ Nicholls Landscaping LLC. 4 of 6 bushes died and had to be replaced within 6 months. Sod that was very faithfully watered was dead after a couple years. 30 plus year independent fertilizer guy I hired after initial sod was put down by MJ Nicholls LLC said the soil used by Nicholls was very low grade. Owner Matt not responsive. Buyer beware.

Hired this company for hydroseeding. The two guys who came out were here first thing as promised and were so friendly and helpful, took the time to answer my questions. The grass grew in beautifully - there were a couple of bare spots but they came back out and re-sprayed them. Would definitely call them again for any landscaping needs.

Matt was responsive, courteous and professional. His team did great work, showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned up after themselves. His prices are fair. I would recommend this company.

We had a patio with a walkway installed, as well as fencing. Matt was very responsive and came out quickly to get us a quote. The crew was fantastic, very friendly, respectful, offered great ideas when it came to decision making and were very hard working. They were very accommodating with last minute asks as well. We are very happy with the final product and will work with MJ Nicholls for future projects.

From beginning to end of this project we had a wonderful experience with Matt, Josè and and the entire staff at Nicholls. The company was responsive and flexible to changes that we made during the process and was always helpful with making suggestions when asked. I have been a customer of MJ Nicholls for over 5 years from everything to extensive landscape architecture and design to basic lawn care. If being honest, I strayed away once before to a company highly recommended by friends and family and was very disappointed. Eric and his team did a phenomenal job with our landscaping. We had to have our front yard regraded, a french drain installed, and retaining wall built. Which they did beautifully and quickly. And, while the team was setting up to start work we mentioned a few future projects we had in mind, including the removal of an old garbage pile that had been left in our backyard by the previous owners. Right then, Eric quoted us a very reasonable price and the team added it to their work. Any time we had question or change that needed to be made while they were working Eric and team responded as soon as they were able, even if it meant they had to back track or add extra labor to their day. The team at MJ Nichols is responsive, professional, and does a great job. We were really happy we chose to go with them, and will call them again if we need any other landscaping done.

I cant ssy enough good things about M J Nicholls landscaping workers. They are so professional and meticulous. They start work early and work later than I thought they would. They work so hard and they are never on their phone or taking breaks even though theyre working in extremely hot weather. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Never showed up.

I give them 5 stars for the work they did on our property, but when I needed follow up information about the project to comply with town regulations, I heard nothing but crickets. I emailed, texted, called and stopped by their office, all to no avail. If I had known that once the bill was paid in full Id be completely ignored I would never have recommended MJ Nicholls to many of my friends.

Just had our fall clean up and I can t tell you how impressed I am. This is the third company we have used for fall clean up over almost 10 years in our home and they are by far the best. We get a TON of leaves and the job was done quickly, meticulously, and at a fair price. I will be using MJ Nicholls for all of my landscaping needs in the future. I recommend 100%!

Highly recommend this company. They were prompt, professional, and did great work. Lindsey even did some extra pruning and mulching because, she told me, I couldnt help myself, and sent me a list of plants for an unrelated DIY project.

I had reached out to MJ Nicholls to get an estimate for a fairly simple vinyl fence install. When I had called the office to schedule an estimate they had taken my info and had requested my e-mail. I was hesitant on giving my e-mail address simply due to spam and junk as we all know you can ruin your e-mail account due to this. Reluctantly I did give my e-mail address and I was told somebody would call me back. I made it clear I do not want to be e-mailed unless we proceed to go forward with your company. Wouldnt you know it I get an e-mail 3 hours later from Matt Nichols asking what day next week we could meet. At this point I am frustrated and clearly see the disregard for requests. I know todays word is a digital one but an e-mail for a first consult?? I replied back that I took time to seek your services not the other way around. No response back and simply did not even make a call to me. If thats how you like business to be done... go ahead... but for me NOT THE WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WHAT SO EVER. I would not recommend anyone to deal with them.

Matt and his crew exceeded ALL of my expectations. Matt was quick to respond to my e-mail and fit me into the schedule on such short notice. On top of that, the crew who put up my fence did an incredible job and went above & beyond. They cleared some of the poison ivy in my backyard and trimmed a few bushes, which was a pleasant surprise to come home to. Between the incredible customer service and quality of work/product, I couldnt be happier! I will absolutely be using their services again in the near future.

I had MJ Nicholls build a walkway and patio for my real estate office. After four years and going under the ocean several times from floods it has not moved an inch. The patio is level as can be and still looks like new. During the process the guys kept a neat work area and were really nice to me and my employees. I would highly recommend having them for all your future jobs. I know they also sell lots of services like lawn care, snow removal, landscape maintenance, and more.

Worked with a very nice guy named Buddy for hydroseeding my back lawn. what grew looked great but there was some washout, so they came back for free and resprayed. Nice guys, quick on the email and a good result for market price.

I had a lot of of old wood (railroad ties) retaining walls and steps. Matt came in to quote and we split up the work into two jobs. I had two different crews come out and both were seriously awesome! Like other reviews state, they went above and beyond and made sure we were happy with the end result. Highly recommend MJ Nicholls Landscaping!

The do great work, and always as promised

Leo and his team were so professional from the start when I requested a quote online. He got back to me within a day or so and actually went to the property to give a realistic quote. I had requested spring clean up and clearing an area with deep rooted plants to put down a nice grassy area. The project was done on time, and the team did great work!

We had MJ Nicholls Landscaping put in a retaining wall with window wells between our office building and the one next to us. The results were amazing! These guys were the best to work with, worked quick and efficient, but still with 100% quality. Really great experience.

I met with John from MJ Nichols, he was the fourth person I had out looking at our project. Extremely happy that we reached out to them. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and pricing was reasonable. They did everything they said they would, couldnt be happier, highly reccomend
