Evergreen Lawn Maintenance in Bozeman

We use Evergreen for snow removal. They work hard and are very responsive. As I write this they are out front diligently plowing us out from under some major drifting. Our driveway winds a bit and has a tight circle. They manage to pile up a lot of snow in a manner that keeps it useable even in a heavy snow year.

My experience using this company wasnt horrible but certainly wasnt the best. First off) A representative of the company came to provide an estimate, which they did. But come to find out the estimate was way under the mark. Rather than the owner letting me know that the cost would be more than double the lead employee mentioned it briefly. I can understand when estimate arent spot on... Second) I asked the owner (via email exchanges) if the invoice I received if I was also being charged for drive time... they never answered so I assumed I did. Third) I understand that labor costs are high ($70/hr for this company) but I expect to receive hard working employees. Instead I watched to my dismay one employee walk across the street to smoke 6 cigarettes in the 3 hrs on the job. Not cool. One of the employees that worked the job was great the other previously employee, not so much. The quality was fine but not good. I just wish they owner/operator would have been more customer service oriented when their employees miss the mark - ie smoking cigarettes or completely missing the mark on an estimate. I will add that the company did fit my tiny 4 hr job into what I am sure is a busy summer schedule for them. Thanks

Talented hardworking staff. I was passing through town and saw the guys in action. One of the guys reminded me of a bucking bronco. I saw him popping a wheelie on a riding mower. It was a amazing! Hard working guys. I would hire them if I lived in the area. Well done Evergreen!

Do not show up to either mow when it s summer and the place looks like a frayed landscape or plow during the winter with talent or skill. Do not hire this company it s just sad!!!

I have never done business with Evergreen, and thats exactly the problem. A couple of years ago they showed up on my credit report, linked to a former address. I contacted the collection agency who advised me the $200 plus amount was for storage. I asked for a contract or paperwork as I do have a storage unit but not with a lawn care company. The story changed, the dates changed (after I told them I didnt even live at the address at the time the charge was supposedly created) and suddenly the bill was for a one time mowing service. I asked for a contract/service agreement again, as (to make this even more absurd) the lawn at this address is a square patch about 15 x 20. Quality Lawn Care (who are awesome, btw) or the kids down the street used to charge me about 20 bucks to mow it and they were done in under 15 minutes. I finally got an invoice, but nowhere had I signed or agreed to service. It was a handwritten receipt ticket for a couple hundred dollar lawn mow with no real detailed information. When I pointed that out to the collection agency, they suggested I had called for an estimate and gotten billed. What?? They asked if I had ever told Evergreen not to come service the lawn. As if you have to preemptively tell companies not to do things?? They finally agreed to remove the collection from my report and did temporarily, but when I looked at it again this year the charge is back. Id like to think this is a mistake, but calls go unreturned and theres this circle of oh, call the company and no, deal with the collection agency that is maddening.
