Let me start by saying I do not know about lawns- weeds, grass type, fertilizer, pests, all the things…that is why I have paid for a lawn service. I think weedman is fine if all you want is for someone to text you the day before they are going to show up to do the basic cookie cutter service. Fertilize, pre emergent and come back only if you call and complain about weeds. They have never recommended anything else to me to get/keep my lawn looking nice after basic visits and they don’t check in otherwise. They will try to sell you over-seed and aeration every fall, which is needed but again it’s just techs coming out and getting the service done without care. My personal experience this past year I was worried about Bermuda starting to grow in a patch of my backyard that is fescue (after having to learn for myself it was “Bermuda which is a grass and not a weed” even though my lawn is fescue) anyways I called to ask specifically about it and was told a manager would have to call me, a “manager” did call me and was actually pretty informative and didn’t try to rush me off the phone. The outcome of that phone call was to call back in a few month because Bermuda should be killed in The end of summer. Called back after a few months again was told a manager would have to come out, a manager did come out sat in front of my house in his truck and called to tell me that it would need to be sprayed multiple times and that they don’t use the chemical needed, so pretty much couldn’t help me. And as far as the additional weeds I complained about that other weedman neighbors lawns also had they couldn’t do anything because they were a “grass and not a weed” and to leave them until cool weather killed them off? Next I started seeing a brown patch in my lawn, ignored by techs previously. I peeled the lawn back to find grubs, called the office and was told they were done with grub control for the season, again couldn’t help me. After those experiences a sales woman called to try to sell me aeration and seeding I explained I did not want that service done by them and that I haven’t been happy with my other experiences this year and may not even stay with them. Apparently she noted in my account I was going to cancel and to have a manager call me. I happened to be out of town when a manager apparently did go by my house, left me a message, when I would call back it would take me to the office, who knew nothing, after many phone tags and frustration the office said they would just put my account on hold since I had someone else kill the Bermuda and aerate and seed…and couldn’t have chemicals sprayed. Yesterday I received a check for remainder of the years services since I had prepaid. Apparently I have been canceled…I just don’t feel like this company CARES. They are fine if you want the basic service but you better know about lawns if you want or your lawn needs anything else.
They are horrible at providing service and doing what they say. They are excellent at calling you to sell you service. I've received 5 phone calls asking me to buy more items and zero calls about quality of service. Their process only kills part of the weeds and then they stated that the only way to kill all the weeds is to buy overseeding and aeration service. This is not ehat they said when buyinh monthly service in the spring. Their system doesn't work for customers but does work for them to earn money. Great at collecting money, poor at delivering service and fulfilling their role of killing all weeds. I cancelled after several months. Should have cancelled sooner.
Do not get this company for your yard needs. All they care about is charging your card. Why in the world would you come out and treat my yard when its above 90 degrees outside. Now every part they treated is brown and burned. All they did was say “sorry” which does nothing for me . Did not even offer me a refund . I cancelled them and made sure to tell them that i will not be calling them multiple times to cancel my service . I will attach a few photos just for reference but the yard continued to get worse because of the heat.
Charged for a service did not ask for. Then tried to cancel service and was meet with resistance. I do not recommend this company..... Today 12-6-23 This is my second call from this company. Asking about my service and why I stopped it. Those company is very push and I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Typically l, when you stop a service. You don't owe anyone an explanation. Weedman is very predatory business..In my Opinion.
Weed Man of Bowling Green has been really great to work with so far. They have been treating my yard for about a year and I can already tell a big difference. I am very excited to see what it looks like a year from now.
They have a great system for notification and are easy to contact if you have questions or concerns. If you request a reapplication, they come right out. All of this is great stuff. My worry is if a customer has a particularly tricky\weed infested yard (and I do), they are limited in what solutions they can provide.
The before and after photos speak for themself. As you can see, using The Weedman has made my yard looks a million times better than it was when we first moved in.
So far So good. Only the start of the second year using Weed Man however, the first year whenever I had a conversation with them on the phone they addressed my concerns quickly. Hopefully my yard looks a lot better this year as it was not taking care of before we moved in last Feb 2019. They say I have to be patient with this and I struggle with that as I want instant results. Scott has done me a great job for 3 years now. However, going to move on as the price continues to go up.

Im insulted that these door-to-door salesman came to my house trying to sell their subpar service when its obvious that I take care of my lawn. I take pride in my lawn and these so-called lawn care providers cant even tell. They should have been coming to my door asking for advice how to properly tend to a lawn or offer me a job because Ive seen their work. If you have to go door-to-door looking for business, obviously your work isnt speaking for itself.
I ve used Weed Man for 4-5 years now and there is a satisfying and noticeable difference in my yard and the next door neighbors yards.

Following tornadoes that came through our area a year & a half ago. I have had trouble getting grass to grow & keeping weeds out of my yard. We ve been with Weed Man Lawn Care since the spring of 2023. So far so good. The grass isn t where it needs to be yet but I feel confident that in time with their lawn treatments that it will be.

They do not do what they say they will do
They were spraying weeds while my sprinklers were going off with out saying anything. Resulted in yard being over run with weeds, they came back and killed the weeds after it got out of control. Ruined my yard had to spend days pulling dead weeds to go reseed all the dead spots. Make sure they have capacity and will keep timelines, they were not for us.

I didnt have a good experience with Weedman, after the first fertilizer application they didnt show up for the weed control. I called them several times and it seems that they are either super busy or just dont like me. I had to cancel their service after almost two months of waiting because weed took over the whole yard. I hate to write disappointing reviews, but they simply wasted my time. Now I am stuck with a yard full of weeds and need to start over with another company.

Brown spots have developed in my yard. I called for an examination and to determine what to do.They diagnosed fungus and suggested more nitrogen. Service is scheduled and I m hopeful it works.

About 10 days ago Weed Man aerated and seeded my lawn. Ive now got a good stand of grass coming up and it looks like it is going to turn into a nice looking lawn next spring. That other company would always do this too early when it was still hot and dry or too late when I would have to fight the leaves.
Have been using Weed Man probably 10 years or more. They are the most consistent, reliable, professional and trustworthy lawn care service provider I have ever dealt with. They take pride in their work and communicate well.
I have attempted on numerous occasions to communicate with Weedman that I am not interested in their services, yet without fail, they continue to send someone to my house at least once every few months. They finally took me off the call list, however the door-to-door employees still come. I explain to them every singe time (at least 5x over the past year) to please stop coming by my house, yet it still happens. I am completely fed up with telling these kids that work for this company to stop coming by my house.

Weedman Bowling Green was hired to treat my neighbors lawn. They over spread the treatment and damaged my lawn. I called to let them know, asked for a little seed to replant and how long it would take before my dirt would grow again. The second lady I spoke with was very rude and refused to acknowledge their mistake. If you like your neighbors, never hire this company. RUDE AND INCOMPETENT
