I just want to say thank you, and how thrilled we are at the extraordinary design work you did for our backyard and how much we appreciate your wonderful team!! Every every step of the way I’ve been in awe of their care, expertise, creativity and responsiveness. Your suggestions were always helpful, and I’m so glad we chose the Victorian pavers for the patio…they’re absolutely perfect! We couldn’t be happier! After gulping a bit at the price of the project, I’ve come to feel it was actually a bargain. You do great work, and I certainly would recommend you to any and everybody I know.
Native Edge has done multiple projects for me over the years and I have always been so impressed with not only their talent and skill but their professionalism and willingness to work around my schedule and needs! There was zero hassle on my part and it was completed super quick. Thank you again Native Edge you are definitely pros!
We had a great experience with Native Edge throughout the entire process of our landscape design and patio install. Very professional. Cary (our project manager) was amazingly responsive to all our questions/concerns and more than helpful addressing even the smallest of details. Thanks for such a great job guys! Definitely recommend!
The best contractor experience we have had in Boulder, hands down. Towards the end of a major remodel decided we were finally willing to invest in professional landscaping. Worked with Adrian on design. He was extremely thorough, patient, professional, had great ideas, and was able to take our vision put it on paper while applying his expertise to make it better. Handed off to his construction team, Chris, Cary, Gabriel + crew. Once they started, never missed a day, and cranked out our project in exactly the 8 weeks they said they would. Finished product is even better than we expected. Would absolutely recommend working with Native Edge!
Native Edge has just completed a new irrigation system, rock retaining wall, rockscaping and mulching in our yard. They did an outstanding job and were such a pleasure to work with. David, Corey, Ben and Kevin all work hard to ensure the best design and installation and are very willing to make minor modifications in response to owner feedback. This is a top quality company that offers value, quality and great communication skills so you get an excellent product.
When my husband and I purchased our home in Boulder about a year ago, we knew a serious landscaping job and rehabilitation of our pond bank was necessary. For decades, landscaping at the site had gone untended and some neighbors complained about its appearance. The only creatures that seemed to like it were the community raccoons. To start the project, we turned to Native Edge Landscapes, hoping the company’s experienced designers and landscaping crews would help us unearth the beauty we knew existed beneath years of overgrown bushes and trees. After working with Bill, Khalana, Edee, and his landscaping crew, we are beyond grateful for their professionalism and amazing work. We can’t wait to have Native Edge back in the spring to work on other areas of our yard. Bill’s initial consult with us was thorough and thoughtful. He provided us a beautiful representation of his vision for our yard and repairing the pond bank. During the job, his routine check ins with us and the crew ensured everything moved along smoothly and turned out just as we wanted. Khalana’s eye for plantings and her ability to pivot from scheduling jobs to putting down the perfect maple tree is something to behold. She is a wizard! Edee and his crew members did back-breaking work moving boulders and stone to repair the pond bank; they took the time to carefully underground nearby downspouts on the house; they hand chiseled flagstone steppers to add a natural look; and, they did it all as promised and to perfection. If you are in the market for a landscaping company that will provide high-quality services and exceed your expectations, I wholeheartedly recommend Native Edge Landscapes.
Wonderful experience. On time, on budget, friendly & respectful team. Strongly recommend! We did 3 different, sequential projects with Native Edge so had lots of experience with them – after a great experience on our first phase, we had them do another project. Another great experience. So we had them for a third project. Same wonderful team, doing great work, on time and on budget. During one project they worked over the weekend – I was talking with their manager and he asked if it was OK that they worked during the weekend since the previous week it had rained and they missed a day of work; they wanted to keep going to keep the project on track! Delightful accountability!
We hired Native Edge to give our backyard a major overhaul and they did not disappoint. They were recommended by our realtor. Full disclosure we did not "shop around." After our first meeting with Adrian and Ben we felt like these were the guys for the job. We met with Adrian and Ben several times before the project began to discuss budget and what we wanted from the space. They were also really great about working within the confines of our HOA guidelines. Adrian and Ben were able to come up with a fabulous design with attractive materials that were still budget friendly for us. We knew we didn't want just a slab of concrete surrounded by some bushes. They brought in great elements like natural boulders, beautiful carpentry, stone veneer to match our existing stone and a lighting scheme. I felt the whole process was very collaborative. Ben was very responsive to all my questions and concerns throughout. Cary, the onsite project manager, was great. So was his crew. They were very respectful to our property and neighborhood while they were working. The site was always tidy after each day and they made sure it was still safe for our dogs to use the yard when needed. The only real hiccups we experienced were delays with certain materials due to COVID. But I always feel you need to expect delays with any construction project. All in all we had a positive experience and are looking forward to using their services again in the future to plant more trees and shrubs on our property. Thank you Native Edge!
Sprinkler service by Ben exceeded work by many previous providers. much appreciated
I had a complaint and it turned out I was asking in the wrong dept..The owner saw my review and immediately delt with it ..very good and impressive !!! their work was AWESOME!
We were really impressed when they started the snow removal at tungsten village. But their service went down hill with each time they came to the point that they dont even clear the sidewalks. We have elderly and disabled people living here some in wheel chairs.
We had Native Edge rip out our lawn and put in perennials, mulch, and drip irrigation last year, as well as putting in garden boxes. The garden boxes are great, but the mulched area was covered in weeds almost immediately - so much for our low-maintenance landscaping. The office was generally terrible at responding to phone calls or emails.
Native Edge is an amazing company! They designed and installed an incredible hardscape front steps and walkway, as well as a beautiful planting design. Their design and installation teams are professional and easy to work with. We love our newly designed outdoor space and highly recommend Native Edge Landscapes!
The guys at Native Edge were detail oriented, knowledgeable, generous with recommendations, and mostly (for me) very kind. If you havent had the privilege, look them up!
For a business with native in the name they push almost exclusively non-native plants. We are in a biodiversity crisis and Native Edge is populating gardens with foreign plants that fail to support local species.
This company cares for the adjacent property to mine. They continually drive down my snow cleared sidewalk and destroy it not to mention ripping up my sod with the the snow blade. I have tried to reach them but evidently no one is in the office to answer or direct calls. It started a year ago and I was assured it was handled but it is not.
Fill the operations manager is an All-Star.
I agreed upon a landscaping project early March, with a start up date of late April. There has been no further communication, no response to my emails to find out their timeline. I will now have to postpone my project until the fall or next spring. The lack of professionalism, consideration, and communication has been very disappointing.
After an in person meetup and several emails and several non dates I am finally giving up on them. I had vague lead me on dates and then a complete No Show. No communication whatsoever. No updates nothing. Good luck waiting around for this company.
Excellent service, very specific in maintaining or building your garden!
What a ripoff this company is! So many of our neighbors use Native Edge so we tried them out for several projects and it was a mess and such bad value all around. They charged us several thousand dollars for a landscape design that didnt meet our stated needs and we wound up having to heavily modify after the fact and when we used them once for a seasonal clean-up they went way over estimate on hours and also did work on areas of the yard I specifically told them not to touch. Then we in theory hired them to winterize our irrigation system but when an unexpected cold spell happened they not only couldnt do the work after several days of telling us they could but also the Senior Account Manager condescendingly tried to tell me that it was totally fine for the system to not be blown out and be below freezing for more than 72hrs in a row. I get that they were overwhelmed by the sudden cold but the least they could have done is just be honest and told me upfront they couldnt get to it and that I should find someone else to do the work, not be dishonest about their timeframes/the risk to our system. I guess they have so many long-standing customers that they dont care about good customer service/value for new ones but I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere for your landscape needs. Edit: Following up on the owners comments, their comment that they we refunded you 50% of the design fee is totally false as I never received a refund on any of the money I paid them. I did eventually speak to the owner after they posted their response and they did offer me a refund but only if I edited/deleted my review to which I effectively told them to do what they thought was right....And then I never heard from the again. Take your business elsewhere.
We hired Native Edge for a spring clean up. They never confirmed their arrival date or time. Showed up to work unexpectedly without setting a time so I could explain what I needed done. Pulled lots of flowers that were not weeds, and left a ton of weeds that should have been pulled. Left without double checking the work done was satisfactory. They left a huge amount of work undone, and when I emailed I was told they finished their allotted time and could come back for more time and money. It is so frustrating because if i had known they would leave before the job was complete I would have asked them to prioritize a lot of things. $600 for 2 hours is not a good value when you end up having to replace flowers that were pulled and have to either hire another crew or do it yourself anyway.
This company does work for my HOA. They use a contractor called Organic Lawn which sprayed toxic chemicals 20 feet from my dog who was on his wire in the yard. Twice. Two times they did it, even after I got upset the first time. Despite that I have the incident on video, Native says that they have been working with Organo for 8 years and that they have too much $ invested in them. They handle 90% of their biz, Native said. So Native refuses to look at the video or discuss it further with me. This company is totally evil in my opinion, in the way that Google means when they say dont be evil. They refuse to even look at the video. If you signup for Native, you are getting a company that cares about money much more than you, IMO. I would recommend staying away from this type of culture which does not fit the intent for people here in Boulder who care about life beyond just having their yard look nice. I want to add that the company does not communicate sincerely.
Excellent service
Wow!! Knowledgeable super friendly and just all around good people!
I had this company do some planting and work when I moved into my new home in 2019. I also had them quote future work. Before the person I worked with left, I would have rated them 5 stars however, fast forward a year and they re lucky to get 3 stars let alone any. When I tried to schedule the quoted work and additional work, they never responded to almost a dozen attempts to contact them. It s just bad management. Only after leaving a message for the manager, who never called me back, did a I get a response from someone new who basically said that they could not keep me on as a client because we did not have a full time contract and they were booked. I started contacting them in June for fall work- it s seriously doubtful they were booked at that point and even if they had time, I wouldn t hire them due to poor customer service.
The owner is super nice!
Great owner, great designers, top notch team. True pros!!!
Two guys came over to do a spring cleanup. They didnt know the difference between a weed and a desirable plant and pulled up plants indiscrimanently. The gardners that came by every couple of weeks to prune were ok. I should say that this was a year ago and I am not using them this year.
