We pretty much had a blank slate and had an idea of what we wanted. The designer made suggestions based off of our feedback and things went as smoothly as possible. The company has in-house landscapers so there's no bidding to find the people to do the work, they're all on the same team. The designer would check in on progress with the work to make sure everything was the way we wanted jt. Very happy with the work they did, will update the photos when the plants bloom in the spring!

In 2021 they took on a major landscape project in a hilly area, and did a tremendous job with additional backyard structure, a new stone path and took care of all our requests. Very happy with the results, and also with the extra help we got to share instructions with our regular gardener on how to maintain our native vegetation.

I've been using In Harmony's services for quite a while now, and I love this company! They make my lawn and plants green and healthy without using any chemicals - how great is that! If you care about the environment you should check them out.

In Harmony took care of my lawn in Bellevue for over ten years before I moved out of their service area. I loved how they turned my lawn into a healthy, lush green oasis. People would stop and ask me about my secret, and I always told them all the credit went to In Harmony. As much as I loved the green lawn, I was as happy that I was doing my small part to reduce chemicals in the soil, and in the ground water that fed into Lake Sammamish. If a beautiful and healthy lawn is important to you, this is the company you need to use.

Horrible company. They seem to say the project was challenging to every person. I would never use them. If you want quality work go with Pacific Landscape Management and Creative Brothers Landscaping they are far superior.

In Harmony Sustainable Landscapes did a wonderful job in bringing our vision to life. They started with an entirely empty slate, a new construction lot with zero landscaping, and created a PNW inspired retreat. We decided to work with one of their landscape architects to ensure we had a plan to follow and didn't regret that choice. In addition, the guys working on the project everyday were so cheerful, helpful, kind and conscientious. They even cleaned up the driveway and work areas every day; almost no trace was left at the end of every day. The pictures show the results in late fall/early winter so not much as grown yet, but the lawn, no-mow grasses and wild flower gardens will pop in the spring and summer and be spectacular. Once we add the rest on our own (trellis, shed, firepit, etc) it will be heaven. I wouldn't hesitate to refer In Harmony to any home owner looking for local, natural, and sustainable landscaping.

Mark, one of the owners, was a frequent visitor to monitor the work. Cara, the designer, did a great job. And Jose and Santos, the two primary workmen, were diligent and detail oriented. I would recommend In Harmony without reservation. Now we just need our hot tub to get here.

Three summers ago the relentless heat baked our lawn, killing a fair portion of it. The following summer it did not recover, though I was watering faithfully both of those summers. The soil was baked and the water ran off onto the sidewalk. I hired In Harmony to see if my lawn could recover. It did. They have been caring for my lawn year round ever since and it is beautiful. I love that their products are natural and organic. Additionally, I have them use some weed spot treatments (which vanquished the buttercups that had taken over my back lawn), that have been very effective.

What a transformation!!! I couldnt be happier with the design and end product. The team were so friendly as well as informative, providing necessary information regarding the care of the new landscaping. Superior work and customer service.

Our initial meeting to determine whether we would use In Harmony s landscape services went well. We explained our vision and received no indication of challenges or obstacles. We paid the design deposit and met with the designer. She immediately appeared put off by our yard and seemed at a loss. When we gave suggestions and our vision, we were either told the cost would be considerable in order to achieve (which was not the impression given during initial walk through) or she gave no response. Generally, any ideas we presented (which were not extreme or different than what we shared during our initial appointment) was met with a no. After our first design appointment we were left thinking none of the items on our wish list could be met (again, wishlist was not extreme - fire pit, access from side of yard, trees/shrubs). Ultimately the design presented was in line with what we asked for. At that point we had decided to not proceed with the project. The hours put in to the design ended up exceeding what the deposit covered, so we ended up paying additional money for what ultimately was a design I could have done myself. I would never recommend this business. I expressed my frustration with the designer to our original contact and was told that other people like her. Otherwise absolutely no response to my concerns over how our project was handled. If you want to waste thousands of dollars on subpar design, they are the business for you.

I absolutely love In Harmony, and so do my plants! When I cut back on expenses in 2009, my plants made it clear that was unwise, and I should cut back elsewhere (no pun intended). Not only are the services magic for my yard, everyone on staff is delightful!

InHarmony did an amazing job with our backyard! The group helped us with the landscaping design and guiding us through the options. Once the crew came out, the work was well done with a high degree of craftsmanship. Our backyard was transformed in a wonderful oasis that my family enjoys! I highly recommend InHarmony for your landscaping projects!

In Harmony was great! They arrived quietly and on time every day we expected them, then completed their work in a timely manner with quality plants and product. I felt our design was carefully thought out and we are enjoying our newly created space. We have elected to continue care of our project with additional services from In Harmony for tree care and ongoing lawn care.

They did a nice job landscaping, but are difficult to work with. My wife did most of the planning and had some troubles in that phase. She said that she liked evergreens and disliked grasses, but a bunch of grasses showed up on the plans. She had to go and correct it. There were some snags in the actual execution, where some raised beds written into the plan just did not fit in reality, so the contractors had to improvise. Or plants not being there when the contractors were. At the end we had a few items left to clear up (like trimming the hedges so they arent touching the house), but we heard a lot of complaints about cost and really had to push to get them done. They have a guarantee for replacing plants that die within 1 year of planting, and all of the moss and blue star creeper they planted died. We asked for an at-cost refund (so they dont have to go out again just to have the replacements die again). I didnt hear anything back, so after I emailed him, I learned that he went out and checked and didnt see any dead plants and decided that I didnt need a refund, and that he didnt need to tell me this conclusion. I explained to him that when a tiny moss or ground cover dies hes not going to see an obvious dead plant, and attached a close-up of one of the dead mosses. Also that he could count the number alive and compare that to how many he planted. He agreed, but no check showed up. I emailed 3 times, one week apart but heard nothing. After another call, he complained again about not knowing how many died and I had to explain again how he should see how many made it and compare that to how many he planted. And assured him that I did not dig up any of the plants. He also said that the moss can come back in the spring, and I needed to point out to him that it was July and I still have not seen it come back to life. He finally agreed to write the check, which I hope is actually coming this time. Also after installing some steps with gravel next to our steep driveway, we found that a large amount of gravel washes into the street when we get a good rain, or when I pressure wash the driveway. We asked them to fix it and just heard excuses like well thats a very unusual event and that we should have known that would happen. But I hired someone else because they are supposed to know how to do it competently! Eventually he agreed that he should fix it but just stared at it with no ideas and said he would think about it. I never heard back from him. After 3 months my 60-year old mother in law fixed it herself in an afternoon just by putting larger rocks in where the erosion was happening. In the end, the yard looks good. But I wouldnt want to work with them again. (some replies to the response) * None of the things that were done incorrectly and needed to be fixed were on the plan. The plan was not very detailed or correct and the contractors often needed to improvise. * The plants died BEFORE we got rid of them and put in new ones. I am talking crispy brown leaves all over. I do not know why they are saying they died because we moved them when I sent them pictures of the super-dead plants that were still right where they planted them. * The ground covers were just plain dead. We did not move them, and they had still not come back late into July. That is not dormant, that is dead. We accepted a refund for the cost that they paid for the plants (Not for what we paid to have them installed). I do not know why they are citing this as a favor to us because it just means they dont need to go out, buy the plants, haul them over and replace them. Where they would probably all die again because they are not the right plant choice for our yard. * The lingonberries that died they did a good job of replacing. But the replacements are now withering up, too. They were not a good fit for the dry, sunny side of the house. I think they made a mistake here. * At the max review length now - Drainage problem not just with pressure washing, also it is normal for people to do that.

In Harmony did such an amazing job on our front yard!! They were out at our house the day they had us scheduled and it felt like we were the only project they had going at the time. The project went quicker than we though it would and the whole process was just so easy. You can tell that they do high quality work and are thorough. My husband and I love walking out there and just staring at our new yard!!
