Second year in a row using them for sprinkler blowouts. I actually forgot again this year, like usual, and cuz I selected last year to be reminded they message me asking if Id like to be added to the schedule so I actually got this task checked for earlier then ever before. I also forgot to leave my gate unlocked when I left that morning and I was out when they called, they were so accommodating and were able to go to their next location and circle back to my house after so I could come and unlock it, no having to reschedule! And they guy actually apologized to me?? For the mix up?? I was like, no! Its my fault Im so sorry! But it was all good. I left, they finished and locked up on their way out. Thanks guys! Ill be using them next year, probably when they text me again.

This company is a joke. Todd is a joke. 30 days and he still hasn t fixed his warranty work. This post could have been avoided if he just would have completed the warranty work. And here you go being a liar!! Your crew was in fact there to do blowouts. I have a text message from you stating you would address this. The only thing that is perplexing is the fact you won t be a man fix your issues and be done. Quit trying to pass the blame and just take responsibility for your work. Thank you for more lies. Hence y we didn t go with you for another job. 40 days later and you have FINALLY fixed it!!! Good job Todd thank you. The sad thing about all of this is it took me leaving you a bad review for you to do what s right.

As a 20 year tree company owner, who used TLC at my home, I can t recommend them sadly. Out of 4 visits I had scheduled they only actually showed up twice, the other occasions not only was I not notified they weren t coming, but when I reached out, I was given the same excuses two weeks in a row. The work they did when they actually showed up was rough. The dude basically took a hedge trimmer to my roses and called it fine gardening . No cleanup either. Just a really shoddy service altogether. Not impressed even a little bit.

Giving 2 star for great work but unfortunately was over charged. 2 workers completed the job in 30 min and I was billed $180 for labor costs.

Time traveling wizards. It s always 7:30 AM. No matter where or more importantly WHEN, TLC goes it s magically 7:30 AM. Using the loudest possible blowers, mowers and edgers available in the Treasure Valley, and operators with epileptic throttle hands, TLC will handle your yard like real professionals. Always prioritizing the quietest residential areas earliest in the day, and commercial properties later, TLC has a knack for knowing when it s most inconvenient for everyone but them. Small yard, no problem, it will take way more than an hour for one guy to use ALL the different equipment, at increasing decibels. Hire them. Every blade of grass will be perfect, manicured perfection while all those within 1000 ft of the operation nurses weekly migraines. At 7:30 AM.

Todd and his crew did a great job this last year servicing our yard. No issues whatsoever. Communication is timely and the work was done well.

Hired them to blow out our sprinklers early last fall. They didnt set the valves properly and one burst over the winter. Tried to contact them this spring about a repair through multiple avenues and heard nothing. Dont use this company.

We are very happy with the work done by TLC to transform our messy yard into a beautiful place to garden and hang out. I especially appreciate the care that was taken to preserve plants that I love while following a landscape design that was created by another designer. The crew worked through horrible weather including snow and rain and paid attention to all the details. Great work!

We hired TLC Landscape to expand our patio and replace the edging installed by a previous landscaper. The main challenge was finding pavers to match the existing patio. Todd did a lot of checking and finally found the pavers, which were not the usual type. We had to wait a few months for the pavers to become available, and Todd was responsive in keeping us informed. As part of the job, the sprinklers had to be moved, some existing pavers readjusted, and new sod laid down. The cleanup was done well, and everything turned out great.

TLC put in a sprinkler and drip system for me years ago and it still works very well. I recently had they come and add on some sprinklers and they did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

I wasn t thrilled with how things were going as my yard was being done as there was no communication with me during the process and Todd started work while I was out of town without any warning. After a few days of work he left the project unfinished. It has now been a month and he refuses to answer any of my texts or phone calls. Do not use this company unless you want to be scammed out of your money.

I hired Todd to do take care of some neglected irrigation and landscape changes I wanted to make. He responded in a timely manner and we negotiated a project plan to work within my budget. His crew is young but passionate about their work, compassionate and hard working. Andrew, Megan, Sydney, Connor and Phil were all awesome in their on ways and I appreciate all of their efforts. The project had some problems and snags but what doesnt these days. Im glad I got the work done, it all looks much nicer and will take a lot less water and maintenance. I hired Todd and TLC Landscaping to redo my entire backyard including hardscape, pergola, turf, water feature and planting new trees, flowers, bushes, etc. They began the project in February 2020 and was near complete by May 2020. I paid them half of a very large sum of money as the deposit, with the remainder due on completion. There were issues with the polymeric sand in the hardscape from the beginning. They replaced it entirely once and still every time it got wet (rain, hose, etc) the sand would come out of the joints leaving holes and cracks. Todd called the project complete in May 2020 and requested that I pay the balance on the project. I explained that I didnt feel like the project was complete given the ongoing issues with the sand and said I was hesitant to pay until it was resolved. Todd asked if I didnt trust them to get it right, and up to this point the work had been excellent and he had been responsive and so I, stupidly, paid him the balance. Through the rest of summer 2020 they were out to fix different spots on the patio 5 times. Jason, Todds employee who had done the installation and the repairs, suggested that the current sand should be removed and replace with a different brand because we were having so much trouble. Todd, despite never personally coming to inspect, did not think this was a good solution. In Fall 2020, Todd finally came out with a rep from the sand manufacturer and recommended that the areas be fixed in the same way that had failed 5 time previously. I asked him why he thought it would work differently this time, to which he had no answer. March 2021 I contacted Todd to let him know that the patio had fared very poorly through the winter and now the sand was cracked and pitted out on about 50% of the patio. He sent Jason out to patch it again, I expressed my frustration to Jason who, again, said he felt like the sand needed to be removed entirely and replaced. Once again, this patch failed and I contacted Todd to insist that we proceed with Jasons recommendation. Getting a hold of Todd at this point was near impossible. He wouldnt answer texts, phone calls or emails. The only way I could reach him was by calling from a number that he did not recognize as mine. Eventually, he said that they would replace the sand and set a date. When I text to confirm the night before the arranged date, he responded the next day, midday, saying that the sand was backordered. We arranged a second date, which came and went with a different excuse. A third date was arranged, two weeks ago, which also came and went with absolutely no communication from Todd. I text him midday to ask where they were and have yet to receive a response. Additionally, there were three plants that died that were replaced on warranty. He replaced them with completely different plants than were originally there and that dont match the existing plants that lived. I sent him photos of this mistake, but again have not received a response. TLC Landscape and Todd Waggoner promise 1 year warranty on their work and for me they have completely failed to stand by that warranty. I still have a patio that needs to be repaired and have mismatched plants in two areas of my yard. I recognize that we are in an era of short staffing, literally everywhere, and labor/employees can be hard to find. But ghosting customers who have spent large amounts of money and not honoring your warranty are inexcusable.

Update: 3, 6 and 9 months later we started having trouble with our water feature. They came out twice and repaired, but it continued to have issues. The third time, weve called and texted many time. Still no response. Soon our warranty will be up. I think thats what their counting on. Very disappointing We hired TLC to do a patio and water feature in our backyard along with redoing all the beds in the front yard. I was so impressed with the way they laid the stones for the patio. All stones were hand cut to fit and laid with only a 1 gap. It looks absolutely beautiful. They did a fantastic job.

Update on initial review - Poor service for follow up issues, and warranty is of no value. Get the warranty in writing -anything not written down for warranty statements is not covered. Original review: We recommend TLC Landscape! We first met with Todd to review what we wanted. He sent us a bid and ideas and then worked with us to begin the landscaping project. Todd was always there for questions and follow-up through the process. His crew did a wonderful job. They were always kind, hard-working, and always cleaned up after themselves. We love our new yard! Thanks TLC Landscape. --David and April Southwick Follow up work is challenging. Warranty is words only. Nothing is covered under warranty. Tried to hire Todd for additional work this spring and he was very different from our first encounter. The first encounter he had great ideas and suggestions. Our second stage planning session ended in Todd suggesting that we call a landscape designer. We called back to schedule again with Todd to go over our plan and he made appointments but did not show up. This happened twice but he did not come to our home at the appointment times and I had to call or text him to see if he was still going to make it. He finally did come over one evening. We started toward that back yard for our phase 2 discussion and we showed him that the spots in the grass were burned. His first response was that it was due to dog urine and then upon closer inspection Todd said that it was due to excessive fall fertilizer. He stated that it looked like his guys hit spots too heavy. He said that he would come out and reseed the areas, but that has not happened yet. It is the end of October and we still have not had any contact with Todd about our concerns. We cannot recommend this company for these reasons.

This was our third landscape project with TLC over the last 4 years. There was prompt communication and alignment from the initial visit to scope out the project to the completion of the work. Todd and his foreman Jason were flexible in scheduling and executing the landscape work. We d definitely recommend TLC for your landscaping projects.

Hired TLC for backyard remodel. Todd accompanied me to select water feature and made other personal recommendations. Jason consulted with me frequently during the work. Finished product looks very nice. Good quality work. Personal service.

Todd and crew have done total makeovers to 3 different properties of mine. Always loved the result. Very good work all the time. I highly recommend them.

Communication with this company is pretty bad. I had emailed and called him to set up the work several times and he kept calling back asking if I wanted to book it because he hadnt heard from me. The work was quick but not done very well. The best part was the subcontracted concrete curbing. The spacing for the trees is not even so they are place weird. The bushes planted were not centered in locations as well so they look off. There was a big mistake where the foreman repainted a line that was approved by myself and the owner. Rain had washed the line a way and when the foreman repainted it it was much closer to the fence than it should have been not leaving room for my fireplace. They poured the concrete curbing on the line. When I approachTodd, the owner, he told me I was wrong and the concrete was in the right spot without even seeing it or the repainted line. He offered to fix it and charge me more money instead of fixing their mistake. Overall it was subpar work and the business is run poorly. Dec 2020. After waiting 5 years to acknowledge the bad experience the owner decided to respond to my review and put the blame on me. I work 5 minutes from that house and was always available. I was never given the opportunity to approve the second painted line. It was done in the morning and they laid the concrete the same day. The first time I was able to see the new line was when the concrete was already there. If you would like a good idea of their business practices just go through and see how long it took to respond to bad reviews and how they just put the blame on the customers. Hire at your own risk.

TLC came out to fix our sprinkler pump after they had not blown our sprinklers out correctly in the fall which caused the pump to break. The repair they did lasted one single day and resulted in our front lawn flooding. (Thank goodness our neighbor was home to turn it off!) After weeks of not returning phone calls or texts, we had to hire someone else to come fix the work they did. They could not return any of our messages, but they could send us invoice. I would not recommend this company to any of my family or friends.

Horrible! Absolutely the worst. Would give no star if possible! I attempted to hire this company to blowout my sprinkler system, a relatively easy thing I assumed. I assumed wrong. Todd told me that no one needed to be at the house and they gave me a timeframe of all day so I couldn t make sure someone was home just in case. The day they came out, they were on the property for a minute, yes, a minute. I have cameras on the property that recorded the guy arriving, ringing the doorbell, walking back to his truck, grabbing a clipboard, and leaving me a door hanger saying I would need to call to resquedle (Sic) blowout only was able to get 1 zone blown out . Not sure how he blew out one zone as he wasn t even on the property long enough to do it. I immediately called Todd and he returned my call shortly after but I was busy and he left a message saying he assumed I had called to see what time the guy would be here. I tried to call him back shortly after but he didn t answer and his voicemail was full. I called him again a little over an hour later and he answered, he tried to tell me that the guy he sent out needed someone there (even though he told me no one needed to be there), and that he had attempted to do the blowout. When I told him I had video proof that the guy had not attempted the blowout nor had he spent any time at the property he changed his tune and said that he did need someone to be there but they only do blowouts on Wednesdays. I told him that my husband would have to be the one there and that it would have to be before 10:30am which he agreed to and we scheduled it for the next Wednesday before 10:30am. I recorded this call with him just in case something happened. On Tuesday, the night before they were going to do the blowout, I get a text message from him saying Hi Mark, we will be there tomorrow between 10:30a-noon for your sprinkler blowout. No one needs to be home. I can reschedule for Monday the 18th before 10:30am or another day convenient for you if you prefer to be home. I responded Wednesday morning and said I just want to make sure you know that it is a manual sprinkler system and there are valves throughout the property. If it would be easier for you if I showed you where everything is located then Monday would work best. Just let me know, thanks man . I never received any message back so I assumed he would be doing the blowout as planned between 10:30-12. I cancelled an appointment so I could be home when he showed up. No one ever showed up. I sent him another text message expressing my disappointment and anger that I had sat here waiting for no one and that I didn t even get the decency of a phone call or text communicating anything to me and that I would be posting the messages, phone call, and video so others know what they are getting into. This is when things went completely out of control. He called me 45 minutes later and told me they weren t scheduled to come out today. I told him yes they were and that he had sent me the message the day before saying he was, he told me I needed to reread his text because that is not what was said. So I read the text back to him. Then I read him what I replied and he said see we rescheduled for Monday , I said no we did not. I told him to let me know if that would work better and he never replied, which to me and any other sane person means that the scheduled time would remain. He was yelling at me on the phone, telling me I wasn t reading or understanding anything. I told him this was ridiculous customer service and that I sat here waiting for them to show up which was BS! At this point he told me that it wouldn t get done and to get a better sprinkler system . I tried to reply to him but he had hung up on me. I then tried calling him back because I was in disbelief that 1) I had been hung up on by a professional business owner and 2) I had been told to get a better sprinkler system from someone who had no idea what my sprinkler system even looked like since not one person at his company had ever seen it! TL/DR: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

We have used TLC Landscape for some 20 years to do many things from major landscaping projects, to pruning, sprinkler maintenance and repair, and lawn mowing, and they have never let us down. Todd gives great advice on projects and TLCs work is always beautifully and professionally finished. And he makes sure it is done right. Once we had some trouble with a sprinkler modification, and Todd came on the weekend to fix it for us. He has a happy staff and its always a pleasure to have them do work for us. Theyve done a back yard stone patio which is universally admired; a gravel parking area for my truck, and last fall they replaced a portion of our lawn with chipped stone and a stone walkway, in addition to sod replacement and border shaping on other portions of our lawn. All three major projects went very well, and the end results are beautiful! We will definitely continue to call TLC for our future landscaping needs.

Todd and his crew did a great job transforming our back yard. We now have a new beautiful paver patio with updated landscaping and a tree for future shade. It is exactly what we wanted! The work was completed quickly, the crew cleaned up at the end of each day and kept us posted of the plan. We would highly recommend TLC and will definitely use them again in the future.

Poor communication, slow, and unreliable. I know it is their busy time of year, but this place takes forever to call back and kept trying to postpone/cancel appointments last minute (that I had already taken time off work for). When I finally got them out to my place, they promised a quote which was never sent. That was a month ago. Two weeks ago I called them to see if a quote was still in the works, and they said theyd send it. Nope! Still nothing. I need this sprinkler work done, I shouldnt have to chase after a company to get them to meet their commitments and do their job. I would hate to think this is normal... I will take my business elsewhere.

Like others have mentioned, poor communication and reliability. But that doesnt seem to be anything new in Boise, the growth and abundance of jobs has allowed ALL of the contractors in the valley to become lazy when it comes to customer service. With that said, I made an appointment for an estimate. He was busy so it was scheduled for two weeks away. Day of, I called to make sure he was coming and he didnt have me on his schedule. Rescheduled for following week and he showed up. Looked my project over and told me hed get back to me in a couple weeks since he was really busy. Never heard from him again and that was two months ago. The irony is, while he was giving me the estimate, he was bragging about his 20 years of excellent and reliable service.

We have used TLC for years and always gotten good service. Tod responds quickly, and his guys seem better trained than most companies we used in the past.

TLC is the best landscaping company in Boise. Weve had TLC work on our yard for 4 years now. Theyve done everything from leveling our side yard, bordered our trees, fix and manage our sprinklers and cut our lawn. They are awesome to work with, and some of the nicest guys as well. Todd and his crew have never disappointed us, and its nice to know our yard is properly managed year after year.

These guys care strictly about money. They treat there employees awful and need to have there license revoked. I will never use this company.

Ive moved a few times all over Ada county, and everytime Ive needed work done, from sprinkler blowouts to giant trees needing to be cut down in tight quarters, Ive asked TLC to do it and they have. Its always the same story with these guys... professional, quick, and timely with affordable rates on a diverse set of services.

This company is more concerned about the money than making the customer happy. Charging to show and to do nothing 20 bucks! Seriously! TLC=Taking Lot s of Cash! Charging for parts and repairs that Todd has no idea of where they were made in your yard. Poor communication! Had to make the call to see when they were coming out to do the first spring fertilizing. There are plenty of companies that will take care of your lawn. Do yourself a favor and look around and away from TLC Landscape. Cold and unconcerned. Obviously in the wrong business!
