I work for a company that has 3 persons in an apt complex off Cole rd. They pay all their bills on their own. Off their back patio is a hill , trees and it was nice grass. It does get a little wet in spots but this whole summer the grass was damaged and muddy ripped up. Its is uncalled for and No One ever came to fix it. Just barely cutting the grass and making mud wholes as fast as they can. NOT IMPRESSED!
Green Lawn Care has been providing the best of service to both our property's. Gary the owner is quick to respond with any questions and also works hard to let you know of any issues that may come up with solution's that fit our needs.
First off if you want to use this company for mowing your lawn you will likely be very happy. I was for two and a half years. We are switching gears a bit and planting clover and wild flowers which will not require a regular mowing schedule. When you need any non standard work done expect to be bilked. After two and a half years of work mowing our lawn to the tune of around 3 grand per year. They hit us with a 700 dollar bill. I got my lawn aerated, raked the plugs, then mowed low. They also capped one sprinkler line and reburied it. Weekly lawn mowing 3g At my house for an hour or two at a stretch, 700. I'm not hiding any numbers or facts. And my 2 start review reflects the exemplary work the men who show up do. They easily loose three stars for not showing any loyalty first off and for abysmal communication from the office. I called three times and left messages early this year to set up this year's one work day. When I called and enquired if they wanted to end our business relationship or attempt to swing some sort of slightly more beneficial deal with a long standing customer. I was talked to as if I was a child. Yes, I know your rates, yes I can do math. No you didn't tell me raking would be unbelievably time consuming. 1 year of mowing once a week = 3000 Couple hours work = 700 That's the math I'm concerned with. Use at your discretion.
After trying several landscapers in the Valley, I'm glad we finally found Green Lawn Care. We needed our front yard put back together after construction work the prior fall. Eddie at Green Lawn Care returned my call right away and was out the next day to scope the work. Their bid was the most competitive (out of 4 companies) and a crew was out to fix my yard within 5 days of signing. Oscar and Dillon arrived right at 9am and did an outstanding job tearing up my damaged yard, re-grading and laying new sod - working well into the evening to finish everything that day. The whole team was friendly, professional, and very hard-working. Green Lawn Care is our new go-to for any future lawncare needs. Thank you!
We hired green landscaping to clean up the yard in the spring. We previously had used them to put in sprinklers and sod and a few bushes. That work was good. However when we received the bill for the spring cleanup, the amount was outrageous for the time spent by the employees. The employees were here maybe a total of 2 1/2 hours and our charge was over $600. My husband tried to call and speak with the estimator but he would not return our call. We received a collection letter in the mail. It forced us to make a payment arrangement although we had tried numerous times to talk to the estimator to explain that the charge was excessive for the amount of time spent cleaning our small yard. Unfortunately, we will not be using their services again.
We have had Green Lawncare handle our yard work for almost 20 years. This winter we became aware of a drainage problem, and we also wanted to stop using so much water in the summer. We had Green Lawncare completely re-do our yard, replacing grass with decorative stone and individually watered plants using driplines. One French drain and another drain to a pop-up overflow outlet cured the drainage problem. The yard looks beautiful -- we have received many compliments from our neighbors. Rafael was the lead, and he and Amador did great work. The paver entryway and back patio are very beautifully done. Update 2023 November - after our fall cleanup, here are some more photos.
I have been a customer with Green Lawn Care for years as I have employed them to handle the start up and blow out of my sprinkler system each year. This last year has been much more challenging. I needed to replace the main valves of the pressurized irrigation system, which involved removing a large Blue Spruce that was growing almost directly on the water main. Green Lawn Care handled it exactly like I wanted, but then I realized my front yard looked barren and need a facelift. I talked with Gary and explained what I wanted to do and he filled in the details with his knowledgeable advice. I had them remove old bushes and stumps, regraded for water drainage, add new bushes and trees, new sod, new mow style curbing around the flower beds, add perma bark and topped it all off with a new sprinkler system. The project went so smoothly and easily I’m now disappointed I didn’t do it sooner. Gary did a fantastic job of keeping me updated with what was going on and what were waiting for... there was a slight delay (1 week) in getting the mow style curbing installed as that was a sub contracted job that Green Lawn Care didn’t have control over. Still not that big of a deal considering how great it looks now. Many thanks to Gary and the Green Lawn Care crew. I will be using them in the future and I will not hesitate in recommending them to family and friends.
We began using Green Lawn in 2017 when they did a big landscaping project for us. Since then, they have done another project for us. Both projects exceeded our expectations. We have continued to use their services for landscape maintenance, including: - Seasonal tree and bush spraying and pruning - Applications of lawn fertilizer, pesticide and fungicide - Occasional pasture mowing - Annual sprinkler blowouts We have always been very pleased with their work, and especially appreciate that they do a very thorough clean up after every job. The folks that we have interacted with from Green Lawn (especially Gary, Miguel and Rafael) have always given excellent advice and have been responsive, friendly and courteous. They have always shared reliable cost estimates with us, and we feel that the actual costs have been very much in line with the quality of the services provided. Overall, we have been very pleased with the services provided to us by Green Lawn.
Eddie Altamirano came with his two trainees to help with my sprinkle turn on for spring. They gave really good advice about lawn care when ask, and provided with good and fast service. They even help me with sealing an sprinkle head free of charge. Theyre Nice and honest company.

I ve had landscape design and installation from others, but never to the level of professionalism and ultimate satisfaction that I received from Eddie and his crew at Green Lawn. From start to finish it was an exceptional experience. I whole heartedly recommend this company to anyone.
I requested that somebody come out and give me a bid for some Landscaping work that we needed. Gary called me back that same day, and set up a time to come the following day. However, Gary never showed up nor did he have the decency to call me and reschedule. Not very responsive and left me waiting for nothing, not good customer service. Disappointed.
Terrible costumer service. I called to ask about tree removal and the gentleman on the phone didn t ask any details about the job. He immediately said he won t come out and remove the tree for less than 500$. If your looking for something cheaper I m not your guy. I never said what price range I was looking in. I was willing to pay more than 500$ But I m happily going to spend my money somewhere else.
Called about next years lawn service and they dont even know if they will be available. Wont be using them now or in the future. Poor business etiquette.
We have become immune to poor service. Services dont get back to us or arent timely. How absolutely refreshing to work with a company that goes above and beyond from the ideas, to being conscious of budget, responsiveness and great quality. The crew was excellent at checking with me about anything they questioned instead of making assumptions. I lost control of my yard and just could not seem to catch up on it. I needed a jump start with a full clean up of overgrown weeds, flower bed renewal, edging. Etc. The hard work and work ethic of the man they sent out was truly inspiring!! I m still blown away that one man did all that he did in a single day. I wanted to get out there and help. I m not used to letting someone else do all the work, but I ve come to the hard realization that I m not Wonder Woman. I can t wait to do more business with this company as I try to continue to build up my curb appeal and improve the health of my poor neglected lawn/landscaping.

Eddie and his crew did an absolutely amazing job on my backyard!!! I am so impressed by how fast and efficent they were and how they answered all the questions I had. (Which was a lot) I would totally recommend him and his team to anyone, he was half the price of everyone else I got a quote from and he is very nice and professional! I love my backyard.

My mother Kay Westergart and I had a new sod lawn installed in our home in the north end of Boise following a water main repair last winter. Green Landscape responded quickly to my request for an estimate for a new sod lawn. The estimate was very reasonable and they were able to schedule the work quickly. The sod turned out beautiful and its been doing very well all summer and Eddie made sure things were done well and on time. I would strongly recommend green lawn care and landscape and especially Eddie for work well done.
I called Green Lawn Care because of their positive reviews. When they came out to assess my lawn, the rep said $55 for a first-time mow. The contract said if the grass was over 4, which mine was, an hourly rate of $50 would apply. They were here for 2-1/4 hours (that should have been my first clue), and by my math, that is 2.25 x 50 = $112.50, but the invoice was for $225. When I asked why, the rep explained it was 2X the $112.50 because there were two people. Wow! I expressed concern, but was told if I left a bad review, they would take me to court. Another long-time Boise company has continued my lawn mowing for $40/job. Green Lawn did an OK job, certainly, but I would advise you to read the small print on their contracts.
I recently used Green Lawn Care and Landscape to install a french drain to prevent water from pooling against my foundation. They were quick, efficient and did a wonderful job of correcting the problem. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends. In fact I have!

Green Lawn Care is an outstanding company with personal service. Gary and his team keep you updated on any job they do for you. We recently had a leak on our older sprinkler system on the Boise Bench. They were very quick to get it repaired and we expected to have a huge mess to repair after the leak fix. We couldn t even tell they had been there, it was perfect!! Our water bill went down substantially too. Gary has taken care of my Mom s home in Boise for over 35 years. She recently passed away and they have been excellent to work with as we got ready to but her home on the market. I personally recommend Gary and his company Green Lawn Care and Labdscaping!
What a terrific company! I had several broken sprinkler heads, needed several moved and a new drip system put in. They arrived on schedule and even called me beforehand to let me know they were on their way. The quality of their work was top notch and I would definitely recommend them! Great staff who are very professional and take pride in the quality of their work! I will be using them again for my next outdoor project.
I ve worked with many lawn service companies across several states, Gary and his team are by far the best I ve worked with - both from a service and outcome standpoint.
My wife first made contact with a few companies for a simple lawn aeration job at our rental home. She found Green to be the most responsive on the phone and they came out when they said and did a fine job. A few days later we decided we needed a bunch of other more involved work done on irrigation and grooming all of the dead branches out of two 50 year old pine trees. We only called one place... Gary the president of Green came out and provided expert advice and we agreed to get the work done on a T&M ( my preference) basis. The two man crew came when Gary said they would and worked super hard with perfect results. The men were smart and courteous. All of my expectations were met and the cost was what I expected for top notch work. Thanks, I will use you again!

Had a water leak in my front yard I looked for weeks to find it. Finally called Green Lawn care and was met by a very well trained employee, he found the leak within an hour. Their rates were very reasonable.
If you want to consider hiring Gary Banse, please do your homework first. Get EVERYTHING in writing WITH HIS signature as to costs, materials, time, size of plants, and your COMPLETE expectations, otherwise, you will be shocked at his open-ended billing with NO itemization. I was given a quote for $5000+, ended up with a $7000+ bill, DEAD plants and drip system not working. NO attemps at fixing or even an apology. Bottom line is: Gary is NOT a landscape designer and has no interest whatsoever is a job well done or even a satisfied customer. He may be great at mowing lawns, but designating himself as a viable landscape company is patently untrue in my experience. BEWARE.
We paid for a whole summer of weed spraying and spider barrier and they only showed up once. Had to fight to get our money back for the undone work.Also the other review Scott works there ... thats lame.
